We spent a week here in September and went on many hikes in the area.

Clean, great wellness area, super breakfast and 5-Course dinner, very friendly staff!

Situated in the middle of the valley close to a very small area, you can take a bus to Schlick2000 or Stubaital Glacier.

It was our second visit to Neustift area and we have been nicely impressed by the hotel. 1.

The hotel has a very modern pool and spa area, with two pools - one indoor and one that is partially covered

Hotel is equipped with very nice spa - set of different saunas, indoor as well as outdoor swimming pools, various relax areas.

We had a Superior Zwölfer room which was on the 3rd floor and very spacious with more than enough space for our stuff as well as a nice seating area and balcony.

The room was excellent and we absolutely loved the spa area.

If you came for a romantic stay, inform the staff in advance and I am sure they can find a place for you that will be fine :)

In all this is a fantastic hotel - I can't think of any negative aspects at all and we would stay there again if we ever return to the area.

very generous room dimension, excellent sauna area, good fitness room with the best machines, food and service very good.

The pool had a very nice view, and they are actually improving it, because they are currently decorating the surroundings of the spa area.

However, be warned, these 2 roomed apartments are under the eaves with low ceilings, small balconies with restricted views due to the overhang of the roof and a combined bathroom and loo - so not the upgrade we thought.

but due to the age of our children (11 & 14) we wanted more space so accepted 2 loft rooms.

We have booked again in 2010, could not get in 2009 due to popularity.

It is away from the main road and quiet yet close to the small town, bus stops, Elfer lift etc
All the hotel staff were helpful,friendly and efficient with particular note being made of the first rate dining staff - David you were very helpful - and are a credit to the hotel.

Location is perfect since the hotels sits close to Neustift center and one of the local lifts (Elfer).

If you take a bus, suggest you make use of the ski depot at the lift station so you needed trudge there in your ski boots and lug your skis.

P.S I would also like to add when you stay in the Active hotel bergkonig you get the Stubi valley card which enables you to travel on all the valley buses, use the lifts in the whole of the valley and the tram from fulpmes to Innsbruck for "FREE" + other discounts

Easy parking, great team to help you, on the front desk with info about hikes, lifts, busses and whatever you want.

Resort really great for walking - so much choice via three close lifts as well as valley walks.

A family friendly hotel with some the best views in Stubaital, and easy access to the lifts.

The lift operators were unusually kind and
helpful in slowing the cars for my wife to get in and out, as she has some difficulties in walking.

For ski holiday the bus stopped just 5 minutes walk away and took 30 mins to get up to the lift area.

The evening meals were even further enhanced by the wonderful service of our very friendly waiter - Mathew

Rooms - -we selected on of the superior rooms facing the Elfer lift -- I would highly recommend this choice as the rooms are very spacious, have a wonderful balcony, and both a shower and a bath tub, plus a couch and table to plan the next days hike.

Hotel well situated for the lift in Neustift and for the buses to take you along the rest of the valley.

The staff were very helpful and gave very good advice for lift passes and ski hire etc.

Our room was enormous (40+feet long) with sitting area and separate WC and bathroom with a balcony overlooking the ski lift.

In a great location, just off the main road and a 10 minute walk from the gondola lift, everything you need is just a short walk away.

The Hotel has friendly family atmosphere - good parking, an Elevator , and free Wi-Fi.

Travel Tips: we definitely agree about the Stubai card - this is excellent value as we spent every day on buses or on the lifts.

We have a 10 year old and went paragliding, did the ropes course adventure park, visited the glacier, hiked everyday off the lifts and of course several trips to the Roddelbahn (alpine roller coaster).

The rooms are excellent and huge with views over the Elfer Lift and 22 yards long !

It's perfectly placed for accessing the buses in either direction and the lifts.

The lift only goes to the 3rd floor and the 4th floor rooms are all attic rooms.

The hotel entrance does not have a ramp so one has to haul up baggage on arrival.

The showers next to the entrance door meant that the thoroughfare got as little wet underfoot

The only small complaint is actually not the hotel's fault at all.

but it's totaly not hotel's fault - some families did not teach their small children how to behave so during the dinner there can be really noisy.

All the staff were very friendly, the highlight being Bar man Danny who was attentive to our likes and dislikes and happy to make up bespoke cocktails to order.

Superior, bedroom 320 has awkward sloping roof, door opens up to roof below.

It was so wonderful to not have to worry or even think about it once, all staff knew that our table had one gluten free person and that it was me.

The atmosphere in the hotel was very calm and comfortable, it never felt busy and we felt like we could be in our own private bubble (though it was fun to recognise other guests on the mountains).

With a beautifull view on the mountains this is a great place to stay.

And the view from the outdoor pool is just stunning.

We chose it primarily for the possibility to have a room with proper separate twin beds, not Austrian beds as is the norm, and were lucky enough to be given a family room 20 metres long, with a stunning view of the Stubai Valley and Glacier and heaps of storage space.

From the outside pool the view is up to the Stubai glacier at the end of the valley, whilst the indoor pool is large, with plenty of seating areas and a solarium.

The room was very well prepared and included a balcony with spectacular views across the valley and to the mountains.

The spa was really nice – it seems newly renovated with a stunning outdoor warm pool, as well as a sleek indoor pool with a smoky fireplace centrepiece. The quiet room had soft sleeping beds as well as water beds (dreamy!)

The view from the balcony in our room was awesome too!

The hotel itself deserves it's Premium title.It's facilities which include a spa are fantastic and our room was perfect with unbeatable views out to the mountains and the Stubai Glacier.

We had a super superior Room with a south facing balcony with a view of the Glacier & the mountains, it was also very spacious and comfortable.

Our room was a superior room and was large and airy with lovely views to the mountains and the Stubaital Glacier.

Was never full during our visit, views over the mountains are really cool and the outdoor heated pool is ideal place to relax.

Our room had a magnificent view and with all large windows double glazed, it was very quiet.

We recommend you book one of the superior rooms for extra space and amazing views over the mountains beyond the village.

It was the perfect venue - the hotel was fabulous, our huge room with two large balconies a stunning view over the town and glacier was awesome.

Upon our arrival, everything was already prepared in our spacious and beautiful room, which offered views to both the south and west.

Hotel location is very good with excellent views to the mountains and valley located within a few minutes of Neustift and close to the very useful bus stops.

The spa and pool were fabulous - we used the sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and rest area at the end of each afternoon and they were never overcrowded.

Very good location with easy access to buses and cable cars making exploration of the area simple.

Our room was spotlessly clean (with a superb view of the mountains), the food was excellent (varied menu and generous portions), the Spa area offered a fantastic choice of treatments (sauna, steam room etc).

Very nice and clean hotel with great spa area.

We would return to this hotel if in the area again.

But we found our room looked towards the area used for paragliders to land and it was fascinating watching them.

The front desk, bar and waiting staff were all attentive without being intrusive and the rooms and all other areas were spotless.

The rooms large (we had two double bedrooms and a large lounge area for 3 of us), and the staff lovely.

Even check-out was pleasant:  We were provided with passes to the Silvretto Pass and local museums as well as friendly advice on what to do in the area.

The Stubai super card lets you use buses/trains and cable cars for free in the area.

The terrace and pool area were just perfect with fantastic views and pretty flowers.

The pool area is very nice with lovely views of mountains around.

We would definitely like to return in the summer to explore this area and would highly recommend for skiing.

The location is so convenient with the buses and Elferlift right outside the door and using the Stubai card made enjoying all the sights of the valley very easy.

The Stubai Valley Pass, enabling free travel on buses and free access to the mountain lifts throughout the Stubai Valley, is a brilliantly thought out idea.

Bus stops providing access to the whole valley are just a very short walk away .

It's centrally located:  about 3 minutes from the Elfer lift and about 2 miniutes from bus stops up and down the valley.

The bus to the slopes was just a very short walk.

Use of the local tourist card gives you free use of the local bus service (as far as Innsbruck) and also the local gondolas up and down once per gondola every day.

The hotel is in an excellent position near the bus stops, the Elfer cablecar and the MPreis and Billa supermarkets.

Just 2 mins from the Elfer lift, north and south bound bus stops.

The hotel is very close to the main Elfer lift and near to a bus stop and the centre of the village.

And for skiing, complementatry ski hire and the closeness to the Elfer lift and the ski buses for Schlick 2000 and the Stubai galcier, make this great.

We took a trip to Innsbruck using the train and bus.

This hotel is in a great spot with the Elferbahn, bus stop, and supermarket all within a 200 metre radius.

The hotel provides a Stubai card giving you FREE access to 4 cable cars in the valley plus bus travel which goes from Innsbruck to the Stubai Glacier.

The hotel is very well placed with the four lifts easily accessed by car or by bus.

Would be very easy to get to by bus /team from Innsbruck.

We also went for a lovely walk along the valley and got the bus back from Milders on our last day.

Close to bus stops and the town of Neustif.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the owners, Sandra and Georg, were incredibly welcoming and helpful in advising on activities in the area.

A big bonus is that all of the staff were very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and caring - you could not ask for more.

It started with a friendly and informative check-in by Felix, who arranged to lend us hiking poles, provided extra pillows, and gave us a quick, efficient orientation.

Everyone we came across on our trip was excellent From the owners, Felix on reception to all the waiting staff, they do an excellent job and are friendly and welcoming.

Very clean, warm and friendly staff, great food, not to mention the inclusive ski hire.

The evening meal was four course plus a salad served by friendly staff.

The cost is 6 euros to go up on cable car round the back of the hotel.We went up in the Friday afternoon.When we got to the top the Neuslift run was closed.So we went down the other one.It was extremely dangerous and very icy.Nobody told us about this and I definitely would approach with caution.You are literally on a 8km windy road with a massive drop at the side of you.I would imagine if it had snowed more it wouldn’t have been as dangerous.At the bottom you are a 15 minute walk from the hotel with a massive wooden sledge,which is very heavy.

If I had to make any criticism, it is that smoking is allowed on balconies (as with most .Austrian hotels) so if you are unlucky enough to have neighbors who smoke then you will either have to keep your balcony door shut or share their smoke.

The Spa was to die for after a hard day skiing .I would highly recommend hiring a locker at the ski lifts (45 Euros for 2 boots and skis for 6 days).

The skiing was also better than we expected.

Perfect place for a quality rest after skiing on a Stubai Glacier.

We had a really nice time here spent a week here for skiing, location good for the village and across the road a large supermarket which stocked everything you might need.

We loved skiing at the Glacier, the bus service is excellent, the pistes are wide and varied,

After a day spent walking or  skiing, you can chill in the beautiful wellness centre, maybe with a massage.

We have always visited France as a first choice for skiing

As this was our first time skiing we received lots of help and valuable advice.

The memories of the nearby church bell will live long, th food fabulous, and the skiing, despite a paucity of snow at lower levels, was enormous fun and more than challenging enough for beginner and intermediate skiers in out pr group.

It's centrally placed for access to both the Glacier for skiing or down to Schlick.

Overall, a wonderful, good value Hotel and a great skiing trip.

We had a great weeks skiing at the end of January helped by some excellent snowfall.

but think Stubai is incredibly good for skiing and boarding.

but  feels very nice after day of skiing.

More over, they can help you with everything you need to know or fix related to your staying, skiing etc..

Nice small swimming pool, where even the children accompanied by the adults could go and spend the rest of energy after a day of skiing.

The skiers prefered to go to Schlick 2000 instead - closer by regular bus service and it suited the level of our skiing anyway.

Smoking is not allowed within the hotel building.

Every member of staff we interacted with during our week long stay was superb and there is real care and attention to guests here .

The owners and their receptionist, Felix, are always willing to help and answer any questions.

Our dinner at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, as was the buffet breakfast, and the staff pleasant.

The hotel owner George came and welcomed every new guest as if a personal friend.

What sets this hotel apart is the superb service from the owners Georg and Sandra Pfurtscheller and all their staff.

George and Sandra are the perfect hosts and supported by a superb set of staff for which nothing is too much trouble.

You have to walk down the stairs and leave the key to your room somewhere else.

Be warned – pets are allowed in the hotel, so be prepared to encounter them on the stairs, in the lift, in the pool area, on the terrace or, quite unbelievably, in the dining room!

The pool & Spa area is of high standard and generous space, providing small snacks and drinks.

We used the wellness area and pool, which were lovely if noisy from lots of small children.

The hotel has a lovely spa, pool and gym area, where you can relax and unwind or perhaps take a massage.

The Stubai Super Card provided by the hotel allowed free travel on the local buses in the local area and to Innsbruck, free use of the local mountain lifts and free access to local facilities was a significant saving and encouraged you to travel about the local area and explore the walking opportunities.
