and poor ventilation in the main eating areas.

the only (minor) problems we faces were that the heating was a bit too high and, for our Italian standards, the pillow were not so comfortable (too flat).

My only issue was that it had no aircon so with the high temperatures under the roof I found sleeping tough as you had to have the windows closed to keep out the morning road noise.

We stayed in a really small room with the only natural light / ventilation being a velux window over the bed.

My only minor criticism was that the rooms didn't have air conditioning, it was very warm at night even with the door open and the hotel bikes were in need of some T.L.C.

The breakfast is rich of options and the dinner, from 0 to 10, is 8.

Rooms spotlessly clean, it was a little odd to have the housekeeping team almost waiting outside your rooms in the mornings so they could clean your room whilst you were at breakfast.

There were quite some options at breakfast and some at the afternoon snacks,

Breakfast was varied with hot option, afternoon tea and cakes, dinner with a variety of options and enjoyed every one of them.

The breakfast arrangement now includes a large range of cooked food to order plus a very wide variety of other choices including fruit.

We stayed with our grandson who has allergy and hotel chef and his team has made every effort to cater grandson’s special diet needs at breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5.

This property is immaculate  Food is served in 5 courses and at the start of the meal there is a buffet salad.

The dining room is pleasant and light and the 5-course meals (partially buffet, partially served at table) is creative, delicious and in manageable portions.

They also had a selection of fruits and yogurts, cereals.

A nice touch is that they serve a complimentary afternoon tea every day which was delicious.

The food was first class more accustomed to a 5 star hotel really varied and plentiful, the option to make a packed lunch from the breakfast buffet was a very welcome addition, also the afternoon tea served between 3-5pm was fantastic, free tea coffee cake rolls all unlimited.

Every evening different menu, rich and tasty breakfast, excellent english from all the staff.

We thought the restaurant choice and portion sizes were good, with good breakfast buffet.

Hotel itself is partially renovated with splendid new wellness area with spa, sauna’s, gym, indoor and outdoor pool (pool overlooks supermarket) other areas are in need of renovation 

Room was spacious, nicely decorated, renovated and bathroom big yet outdated (in urgent need of refurbishment)

Food, nice all-one-can-wish for breakfast and in evening 5 course dinner.

Facilities were really nice and clean - from fantastic in-house massages (by Katja) to very nice meals both at breakfast and dinner.

We loved having the super card for the buses and cable cars (there's even one going up that is walking distance from the hotel).

Situated in the middle of the valley close to a very small area, you can take a bus to Schlick2000 or Stubaital Glacier.

It is away from the main road and quiet yet close to the small town, bus stops, Elfer lift etc
All the hotel staff were helpful,friendly and efficient with particular note being made of the first rate dining staff - David you were very helpful - and are a credit to the hotel.

If you wish to explore the valley the bus stop is quite close

It is located just a 5 minute walk from the village and very close to the cable car and local bus services (only 15 minutes to a  Wild Water walk of spectacular waterfalls).

If you take a bus, suggest you make use of the ski depot at the lift station so you needed trudge there in your ski boots and lug your skis.

Half an hour bus ride to glacier just outside the hotel.

P.S I would also like to add when you stay in the Active hotel bergkonig you get the Stubi valley card which enables you to travel on all the valley buses, use the lifts in the whole of the valley and the tram from fulpmes to Innsbruck for "FREE" + other discounts

Easy parking, great team to help you, on the front desk with info about hikes, lifts, busses and whatever you want.

The location of the hotel is perfect - in a quiet side street close to the main village and about a 5 minute walk away from the main bus route, and local cable car (to Elfer Mountain).

Hotel location is very good with excellent views to the mountains and valley located within a few minutes of Neustift and close to the very useful bus stops.

Good bus service and cable car only a short walk away.

The Stubai Super Card provided by the hotel is a great attraction, as it paid for all our bus journeys up and down the valley, as well as the four Gondolabahn lifts.

For ski holiday the bus stopped just 5 minutes walk away and took 30 mins to get up to the lift area.

Close to the public transportation (buss) that, free of charge bring you to the skiing area ( 15-40 minutes drive) , small town with good restaurant.

The Elfer cable car is 5 mins walk from the hotel and reliable buses take you both up and down the valley to access a number of other cable cars as well as Innsbruck.

The hotel is easy to reach by bus from Innsbruck if you're not driving.

Overall we enjoyed our stay the area is beautiful and cable cars and bus service excellent.

The pools were very clean and there are a full range of other spa type facilities on offer.

Hotel’s two swimming pools are of very good quality and nice addition for your stay offering relaxation after long hiking trails.

I was impressed at how far the hotel went to accommodate my dietary requirements (very low fat due to a medical condition) - even making me special desserts on a couple of occasions.

Our room was spacious and had everything we needed.

I cannot say a bad thing about this hotel, fantastic food, lovely room, outdoor pool is wonderful, l could have stayed there all day.

Rooms were clean and with excellent standards of towels, together with bath towels etc for the swimming pools.

Hotel staff are very friendly, and the rooms of good size - and well appointed.

We chose it primarily for the possibility to have a room with proper separate twin beds, not Austrian beds as is the norm, and were lucky enough to be given a family room 20 metres long, with a stunning view of the Stubai Valley and Glacier and heaps of storage space.

Our room was kept very clean and had a modern bathroom, so no complaints here.

The room was very well prepared and included a balcony with spectacular views across the valley and to the mountains.

House-keeping kept the room spotless and neat.

The room was excellent and we absolutely loved the spa area.

Enjoyed the food and the Spa as well as a surprise free room upgrade since they just happened to have a larger room available.

The view from the balcony in our room was awesome too!

We had a super superior Room with a south facing balcony with a view of the Glacier & the mountains, it was also very spacious and comfortable.

The spa area is good and the outside pool is very nice and warm.

The hotel is an excellent base for the nearby winter sports and it was perfect to be able to come back to such a modern well designed spa after a day on the slopes.

The hotel has a fantastic indoor pool and spa, and the outdoor pool is a godsend when the weather is hot.

The spa is lovely (be aware, ladies, your treatments and massages are given by a lovely male masseur).

Finally there is Andreas – their in house masseuse who is a native of Innsbruck and a true gem of a therapist.

The pool and spa facilities were absolutely amazing all in all I can't recommend this hotel enough we will definitely be back next year.

All the staff were very friendly, the highlight being Bar man Danny who was attentive to our likes and dislikes and happy to make up bespoke cocktails to order.

It was so wonderful to not have to worry or even think about it once, all staff knew that our table had one gluten free person and that it was me.

You could meet the owner of the hotel each and every day and she is successful in building up the team in the hotel that caters all your needs at the utmost level.

The staff were very very good and nothing was too much trouble.

We were warmly greeted on our arrival and then extremely well looked after throughout our stay.

The catering was excellent and the management and staff were all friendly, sociable and efficient.

The atmosphere in the hotel was very calm and comfortable, it never felt busy and we felt like we could be in our own private bubble (though it was fun to recognise other guests on the mountains).

With a beautifull view on the mountains this is a great place to stay.

And the view from the outdoor pool is just stunning.

From the outside pool the view is up to the Stubai glacier at the end of the valley, whilst the indoor pool is large, with plenty of seating areas and a solarium.

The spa was really nice – it seems newly renovated with a stunning outdoor warm pool, as well as a sleek indoor pool with a smoky fireplace centrepiece. The quiet room had soft sleeping beds as well as water beds (dreamy!)

Our room was a superior room and was large and airy with lovely views to the mountains and the Stubaital Glacier.

Was never full during our visit, views over the mountains are really cool and the outdoor heated pool is ideal place to relax.

Our room had a magnificent view and with all large windows double glazed, it was very quiet.

We recommend you book one of the superior rooms for extra space and amazing views over the mountains beyond the village.

It was the perfect venue - the hotel was fabulous, our huge room with two large balconies a stunning view over the town and glacier was awesome.

Our dinner at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, as was the buffet breakfast, and the staff pleasant.

Good buffet breakfast and 5 course served evening meal along with Gala night on Christmas eve.

Every afternoon there was tea, coffee, and an assortment of delicious cakes all complimentary.

The food was excellent and the staff delightful with the warmest of welcomes from George and from Adam, the Inghams rep.  Free packed lunches ( you could make them up yourself by picking anything off the extensive breakfast buffet) and afternoon tea with cakes.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast and dinner very tasty and plentiful.

Food in the main was fine and the real bonus was the offer to make up a packed lunch daily from the range available at breakfast and a carton of juice and cereal bar were provided on the table each morning in a bag which could then be added to.

I've been to many parts of Austria and believe this to be one of the best places to stay for a walking holiday. The food- 5 courses each night, good breakfast, FREE packed lunch and afternoon cakes, was good and after a long walk (or on a wet day!)

The breakfast and five course dinner menus were excellent and included a vegetarian option.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the owners, Sandra and Georg, were incredibly welcoming and helpful in advising on activities in the area.

Our rooms were comfortable, well-organised and cleaned daily.

There was only a choice between one of the USA news channels (hopeless for UK visitors because it focusses on US economy and politics) and a French channel that for some reason broadcasts in English. However  we had a decent room - comfortable enough to sit in during wet periods and a balcony to sit in the sun when it is dry (we had a top floor south facing room.)

I had a large, comfortable double room (although I was traveling as a single), overlooking the mountains.

Short transfer from innsbruck and access to Schlick 2000 and the Glacier.

Lots of nice long blues and some testing reds in both Schlick 2000 and Stubai Glacier.

The hotel is close to the Elfer cable car (which we used at least four times and there is a great walk down back to the hotel) and on bus routes up the valley to the Stubai Glacier and down the valley to the Schlick 2000 and other cable cars.

The skiers prefered to go to Schlick 2000 instead - closer by regular bus service and it suited the level of our skiing anyway.

The Spa was to die for after a hard day skiing .I would highly recommend hiring a locker at the ski lifts (45 Euros for 2 boots and skis for 6 days).

The skiing was also better than we expected.

Perfect place for a quality rest after skiing on a Stubai Glacier.

We had a really nice time here spent a week here for skiing, location good for the village and across the road a large supermarket which stocked everything you might need.

We have always visited France as a first choice for skiing

As this was our first time skiing we received lots of help and valuable advice.

The memories of the nearby church bell will live long, th food fabulous, and the skiing, despite a paucity of snow at lower levels, was enormous fun and more than challenging enough for beginner and intermediate skiers in out pr group.

It's centrally placed for access to both the Glacier for skiing or down to Schlick.

Overall, a wonderful, good value Hotel and a great skiing trip.

We had a great weeks skiing at the end of January helped by some excellent snowfall.

but think Stubai is incredibly good for skiing and boarding.

but  feels very nice after day of skiing.

More over, they can help you with everything you need to know or fix related to your staying, skiing etc..

Nice small swimming pool, where even the children accompanied by the adults could go and spend the rest of energy after a day of skiing.

The Pool and Spa were an added bonus  - which we ended up using every day !

These were down below with the massage room, solarium and beauty pool on the ground floor.

Very nice and clean hotel with great spa area.

There is what I believe to be an excellent spa facility with different types of sauna etc

Due to the good weather we didn't use the spa, looked good though.

The rooms where large, Good beds, clean rooms, SPA that had many really wonderfull saunas.

it was nice to be able to use the outdoor swimming pool and indoor spa facilities (4 different types of sauna).
