I was worried about the poor reviews before we stayed there

Evening meal was luke warm and of poor quality food.

The room we were allocated had a poor outlook - the bins and tatty sunbeds.

though was the food, it was of poor quality.

Breakfast was equally as poor we both ended up just eating toast and jam every morning as the rest was swimming in oil and very poor quality, the evening meal was even worse limited choice each day which was pretty much exactly the same each night so we ended up eating out after 2 nights trying to eat what was on offer.

But,oh dear, the evening meals are poor and repetitive.

It was of poor quality, unimaginative, boring and not served hot.

but the location is such that we had a long walk downhill to the beach and the evening food was so poor that we had to find alternative places to eat despite paying for half board.

however the rest of my staff was very poor.

I was concerned about the poor reviews on the quality of the food and so emailed the hotel before booking.

but due to the poor quality we ate out every other time for our 2 weeks.

The poor bar staff were completely rushed off their feet at lunch and at happy hour, only one person running the bar and food.

Staff very helpful when needed , no issues getting sunbed though lots of people hovering around awaiting unlocking of beds , some of which could do with being replaced , as for hotel gym I’m afraid it was pretty poor ,

Booked a room for two nights, must say clean room , it was where it was .

After a very long wait (cleaning team were behind schedule);
Room was clean and spacious with a balcony.

We found the air conditioned room clean and with comfy beds.

Rooms were clean and tidy staff were helpful.

Room very clean and bed was made everyday with clean towels too. Negatives.

Wasn't expecting a luxurious room - it was clean but the room & bathroom appeared completely unchanged from 2016!

We were so sad to see such a decline in standards, we are not blaming the cleaning staff I don’t think they have enough staff and time to thoroughly clean every room.

The hotel is spotless room was lovely the pool area is lovely because of the lovely view.

but allocated room clean which was a plus.

The staff were very friendly as were the guests staying there - The rooms were clean and beds comfortable so cannot fault any of that.

but I feel due to our experience would give it  4 star, We we’re in room 247 which was clean and well maintained with good size balcony.

Our room was kept spotless as is the whole hotel.

When we wanted our room to be cleaned it was done to a really high standard and we came back in after a day at the beach or pool with it smelling so clean, it was really nice!

For a three star hotel our rooms were spotlessly clean and remained so for the whole week after maid service.

The room was spotless with a shower over the bath.

Wrong  room, Family room 3 beds in the garden room smell.

I think this says more about their lifestyle and the number of cigarettes they smoke more than the location of the hotel.

but nothing in it, we had to leave clothes in suitcases, it was above the kitchen so when the kitchen staff decided to have a smoke, we had to endure as we were above.

but the only other shade available was under the smoking area .

again poor choice, no fresh fruit, honey etc, stale hard bread, we asked if any banana only to be told too expensive!

They run out of ice cream on the second night and it was left like that for three days, eventually being replenished with two tubs of chocolate which looked disgusting.

Only downside was a slight smell in the bathroom first thing in the morning.

Food was above average although vegetarians may be a bit limited  A few negatives - room could smell of drains

The negatives about the hotel - we had to change rooms because of the smell of the drains, it was nauseating.

The room itself(111) smelt of a cross between damp, musty and cats.

We flew into Malaga where it was throwing it down to such an extent clothes in our cases were damp.

Don’t get the garden level rooms as they smell damp and have Ferrell cats on the small patch of grass.

In the room was a bit better, except that it was constantly smells like someone was smoking in the room, maybe it's ventilation problem.

Food was disgusting and looks like it's left on the buffet for hours especially considering the few people that were dining there.

Spa area smells like a clorox;  jacuzzi is soppy.

but unfortunately each morning the stench was always there but did disappear later on during the day.

Only one person was working at breakfast they were busier than a one-armed wall paper hanger!

Toilet didn't flush properly and Ned side light hanging off the wall.

The lampshade was hanging off the wall dangerously and the toilet didn't flush .

Original room for 3 was tiny and facing a wall.

but I would call it a 2 ⭐️ I would of bin asking to be moved is this was my main holiday for was very repetitive same every night  staff are lovely very help full plug sockets hanging out the wall in bedroom bath shower need updating sun beds broken long walk to Centre but we don’t mind walking

I read reviews about the walls being thin and guests being unable to sleep

With a small fridge, kettle adequate storage (just, could do with a chest of draws) fluffy towels and the most powerful shower we've ever had the rooms were almost perfect, the only downside being that the walls are very thin so some noise does carry!!

The walls are very thin and we were regularly kept awake by our neighbour snoring.

When you sat on the wc it clanged as it was loose from the wall.

but clean, beds are comfortable but the aircon unit kept dripping water onto the bed at night, the towel rail kept falling off the wall nothing done about it.

but was let down by the balcony (if that's what you can call it) just enough room for a small coffee table and two chairs, and the view was the wall of the next property!

The sun lounge overlooked a bungalow , on our first day they started to rip out all the interior it was unbearable walls being demolished, skips being filled up it went on from 8 am to 4 30 every day except Good Friday and Easter Sunday, whilst this was going on the continue barking of dogs, this also went on all day and woke many people up middle of the night.

Yes I have to agree the rooms are not the biggest and the walls are quite thin

The only fault I could find with the hotel was as others have said the walls are very thin and you will be kept awake by people talking or the TV.However for the price we paid you would be hard pressed to find better value on the Costa Del Sol

It is a beautiful hotel with great food and clean rooms, most of all the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them, and they are so friendly and welcoming they make your holiday even more enjoyable.

The room was immaculate, comfortable and clean with a balcony and a view out to sea.

We were greeted with a glass of cava on arrival, our rooms were spotless and very well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities.

The staff are excellent, our room was kept immaculately clean for the whole week and the rest of the hotel was just as clean.

Rooms always kept immaculate, as were communal areas.

The hotel is spotless and our room was cleaned everyday .

The hotel throughout was exceptionally clean and room servicing was good.

The rooms were very clean, modern and well maintained - we had a slight problem with the shower on the first day and it was fixed within a couple of hours of us telling the staff.

All staff at this hotel are really good very friendly and efficient,must give a shout out for Rosie who maintained and cleaned our room to a very high standard.

A spotlessly clean room that reflected the hotel as a whole, a low floor that saw to my partner’s needs and looked out onto a beautiful tended garden.

Our room was kept spotlessly clean by the chambermaids.

although there are some people who seem to rush down in the morning to leave towels and then disappear!

Enjoyed everything about this hotel (except the towels which are small and hard!).

but please upgrade the towels, thin, ragged and sad and when I caught a bit of sunburn it was most unpleasant using them.

Sadly the habit of people putting towels down early morning is a pain,

but of course the towels go out early though the sitters are not as early!

My only criticism would be the room towel are a bit smalland thin.

The booklet even states that staff will actively remove said towels if this practice is seen to be happening.

The only complaint I have is that towels put onto sunbeds and no one coming back to them until well into the afternoon  there was a lifeguard on duty and no towels were taken off sunbeds like the notice said it would be.

however be quite busy around the pool with people putting towels down quite early , we still still found sun beds that were suitable for us.

We did chuckle some days watching guests from our balcony rushing to put towels out, in the same spot, day after day as

The only criticism was of other guests who reserved sun beds with towels not returning for long periods of time, not easy for the hotel to police!

The only down size to the room was the towels in the bathroom,they were thread bear and small.

The only thing I didn’t like and it’s petty, the bathroom towels were a waste of space, they were small and useless, plus it could of done with some music round the pool, and that is it.

Towels are a bit threadbare and could do with replacing.

towels are rather small and far from soft and fluffy no  face cloths, slippers or bath robes.

but towels in room are very rough and should be updated.

People did go and put their towels down early and leave them for hours unattended!

If your not so active or able you can easily stop on the way for refreshments 😊 would I stay here again yep, are most or the reviews on here stupid, so what if the towels are brown or thin, thin means they dry quicker! !

Pool - It was the end of October so expected it to be cold, and it was :)

Pool was very cold this time of year and it’s not heated

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL--I assume the good ratings are from people who live in cold temps and are just desperate to have a beach and pool.

but food in all sittings could sometimes be cool are in some cases cold.

Being picky I would suggest a couple of improvements that would make this my perfect holiday place;
 a larger cocktail selection,
a larger desserts selection,
some of the food isn't kept warm enough and sometimes is cold.

Staff very rude and food not so good, was always cold.

Fruit, cereal, hot & cold breakfast in abundance.

A big issue we had is that the pool was just too cold, our 3 year old refused to go in with it being so cold, this was really disappointing as we expected a week of pool/beach days.

the pool was cold as ice, no option of air conditioning in April only heating.

Rooms were ok.  Could have done with summer quilt as we often woke cold in the night as thin sheet only on bed.

Both hot and cold, meat, fish and vegetarian.

First of all the swimming pool needs heating because end of October it was freezing cold.

it was tasteless and often cold you have to get there when the restaurant opens to stand a chance of the food been hot.

Most food was cold and the selection was taken out of a bad kids menu.

Sadly both the sea and the pool were too cold to use this time of year.

but nothing to wash these up with 
Pool area is nice but a little dirty and dated and the pools are not heated so freezing cold!

Sunbed quality is poor, and I read that they were looking to be replaced at some point.

The only saving grace to this hotel is its on the beach and the dining area is OK the food choice is really poor after 3 days could see how it was going to be for the next 6 days.

Air conditioning pretty poor, made a noise

Rooms are not great, we had a poor room, with no view and when we asked to change they said they couldn't do anything for us!

but avoid room 46 (or any at the end of the corridor) as the WiFi is poor.

To the idiots who either stood on it or kicked it - the poor cat’s screams were terrible to hear - I wish you every misery in 2023.

The entertainment was poor in my opinion, if you could get a seat at the back of the room after dinner, you couldn’t see the entertainment for the pillars.

The negative would be that the food is really poor especially breakfast buffet with poor quality breads, cooked food , poor juices and coffee - just not good 

But nice overall

Entertainment was poor in the evening and the daytime was focused on the Spanish.

The hotel ; Rooms a bit dated, air con was NOT good, we was in room 535 and air con poor and very very noise, plus the room had noisy dripping all night ,

The entertainment we thought was somewhat poor for a hotel of this size, one night there was nothing at all and other than a lovely singer one night the rest in our view was mediocre.

The poor waiters having to deal with this did their best.

We were given room 12 in the bowels of the hotel,had little or no sleep because of raging cockerills,which can be heard almost all over hotel,food very poor,duck served including giblets,never again7days without sleep is awful,no sea  view intact no view except  small patch of grass

Even the poor old horses we saw on route looked old, sad and tired.

but entertainment is incredibly loud and is central to every bedroom which have zero soundproofing, don't expect to get to sleep until at least after 11.

Rooms need a little update can very very noisy at night with entertainment.

but could hear and sounded good, could do with being quieter but as we was overlooking the pool and beach it echoed not really an issue.

After one night, we were desperate to leave due to lack of cleanliness, excessive noise at all hours, horribly uncomfortable beds (comparable to camping), and barely edible food--imagine a cheap cruise buffet with rotten looking/reused sushi.

Then it came to the night time of the weddings, the noise is unreal and guests running around the hallways shouting and singing at 4/5am.

We had them outside so we could hear the sea and really relax.

Room location is right next to the bar so the noise at night is horrendous.

but the noise from outside terrace/pool area at 4am in the morning was not good.

Then asked jet 2 to move us hotels they wanted £1000 for this DISGRACEFUL .The pool area was filthy thankfully you get towels to put on sun loungers as they are also filthy.

but the noise of some guests was at times intolerable, keeping us awake until the early hours.

but not being pushy
Obviously as this is a Spanish hotel at the weekend Spanish families have short breaks in the hotel and the lounge can get quite noisy and busy.

Only negatives were large group booking of all males that took over bar sometimes and noisy motor noise in room.

but getting out was a killer, the walk on the beach to town is a disgrace dirty and traffic drive along the beach, This Hotel need to take a leaf out of Turkey Hotels were they build wooden walkways and piers with sunbeds and umbrellas placed on the piers which are built  out into the sea and climb down ladders or just dive in.

The hotel stopped hosting weddings for a while due to behaviour and noise.

We had a bit of noise at night from wedding parties

We were overlooking some kind of a dust car park and on the other side of that must have been some kind of a farm because every morning around 5 am there was the noise of a Cock crowing which continued till around 8 non stop and I mean every 3 minutes this thing crowed.

The air-con was super and rooms were very clean.

Our hotel room was very clean and the cleaners came in every day and did a good job.

The hotel is very nice  beautiful  setting  on the ⛱️  the staff are wounderful  nothing is to much trouble for them .they will go out of there way for you .The rooms are clean you get clean towels every day and the room is cleaned also.but they are very dated
They need refurbishing.

but absolutely clean the cleaners do an amazing job and the whole hotel was spotless the rooms had amazing views  and massive balcony's well the 2 bedroom ones did.

Excellent aparthotel comfortable clean rooms, fantastic food with very friendly atmosphere and helpful pleasant staff.

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted nicely and allocated a spacious studio room that was clean and tidy, the room was serviced daily.

The room was clean and had a small sink, fridge, microwave, and misc.

Lovely clean hotel and accommodation is spotless and rooms are cleaned every day.

It's very well-managed by a team of friendly staff; the breakfast buffet is of a high standard and our room was clean and well-appointed with fridge, microwave, etc.

A few things we didn’t like were the hard beds , the poor air conditioning ( in November ) and especially a knock on the door and a phone call at literally 12.02 to say room needed to be vacated - we knew this and were just gathering ourselves together

The food was poor and totally overpriced ( this seems to be the main theme of this hotel) I came back from a wedding late in the evening, I hadn’t really eaten much during the day and I asked at reception if it was possible that I could have a bag of crisps/chips just to kill off my hunger.

Also I would say the choice of food in the buffet is very poor on an evening and breakfast is generally cold.

The tea and coffee at breakfast were awful and the quality of the ham poor.

The prawns seemed to have hung about all week in various disguises
 I agree with Beulah the desserts were poor  tasteless cakes and the biscuit on top of the custard, no idea why it was there.

but for me, a non meat eater, the choices were poor.

It was tired, had a tiny bathroom which measured 7’6” by 6”, with a shower over the bath, no separate cubicle, very poor quality toiletries, the cheapest loo rolls money can buy, and a loose toilet seat which remained that way throughout our visit.

Our one area of disappointment was the poor service in the dining room.

Dinner was generally quite poor ( hence 3 stars) mostly barely warm and not varied.

They then changed the wording on our confirmation and on line stating no balcony - by this time the hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t re book a balcony room

Breakfast was very poor with foul tasting coffee and a basic selection of foods more like a 2 star..

Choosing to book through TUI we expect them to filter out poor accommodation and not accept rooms just because the hotel classify it as a standard room.

but I had no option other than ending-up with a poor appetite for my evening meal.

but dinners have declined drastically including very poor wine cellar.

The room is spacious and the bed linen is clean, however you could hear your neighbors sometimes (poor sound proof). Buffet brekafast is good

but feel we have had a poor response to what we were told at check in.

Also reception asked for a credit card guarantee despite room being prepaid even before they welcomed me which probably put me a a poor mood before I had even fully checked in.

The hotel - firstly the room was clean and very comfortable,however we had no balcony and the view was a white wall .It would certainly not put me off again

We stayed in a seaview room for 10 nights,first the plus points,lovely room kept spotless by the hard working cleaners,the position can’t be bitten,the fantastic staff,special thanks to Rita customer service manager,we had one small problem that she sorted straight away,she came to the breakfast room every morning to all the table’s,so hard working.

I have never stayed in a purported four star hotel with such a penny-pinching stance to the supply of basics or drinks in the room…

On a more positive note, the room itself was very clean and the bed-linens and towels were spotless and good quality.
