Sitting on the train waiting to arrive without an idea of what to expect from the city of Nantong, I look outside the window to see the train crossing the widening Yangtze River.

To be honest, staff at Club lounge and western restaurant can't speak English almost at all so it's a really good idea to have foreign staff in the hotel.

Finally the hotel is in the middle of nowhere so don’t get any ideas of a stroll through old Nantong.

but food quality and selections in happy hour exceeded my expectation; the 1st evening's cook-by-order course, and the next day's small buffet also.

Variety of food was amazing Sushi, soups and lots of vegetables.

The room service catering was good; the food arrived quickly after I ordered and the quality was very decent.

From now, I can recommend you to live in here because of The nice living environment and eating environment Concierge Henry was very enthusiastic,he always helps me call the taxi and tells the taxi driver the correct location.

Miss Carola is excellent in her service and good communication with guests .down to earth person in helping making feel comfortable at the restaurant .always smiling at her guest.when we required some dish calls the chef prepare a dish for us .joyfully come and talk with the guest and ask us do we require any thing.she is and awesome person in the manager level.i stayed in the hotel for 40days her service was very excellent.

I think this is related to the water / sewage pipes judging from the smells.

Both of whom were attentive, kind, and professional.

Rose at front desk was also professional and kind.

The concierge, Artha Ma, set a little surprise for me, which did warm and delighted me after an exhausting day.

Especially the Concierge Henry was very helpful by getting a taxi and give instructions for the route in the morning.

This is a beautiful hotel with great facilities, amazing rooms and nice view over the Yangtze river.

The view to the Yangtze River was great and I loved to watch it by standing at the window.

It improved a little when I changed room to a different floor with a portable fan.

but call ahead to see if the hotel A/C is working.

Food very good according to western standard, specially the breakfast was excellent.

I'd actually give the edge to the Jinshi based on its food selection and the nice extra touches they do, including some free snacks in the room upon arrival, and the buffet has a better selection for vegetarians with more steamed options.

Only really had breakfast as I knew a few places in the area for eating at night

It is probably the tallest building in Nantong CBD ( easy to spot) and is also famous for its buffet dinner according to the locals.

but has a great buffet every day which was more than enough variety for my 3 week stay.

Daily Chinese & English buffet breakfast starts at 6.30am to 10am.

although the location is good for business trip, room space is good service is great, various choice of food especially for breakfast and staf is helpful, hotel decoration is great.

but definitely the place to stay if you have business in Nantong.

The restaurant is a foodies delight - huge selection of every type of food available - both Western and Asian. Close to great restaurants (best pizza just around the corner at O Cafe!)

however there’s also a new mall opposite the hotel with a few restaurants.

but the lobby, the restaurant, the reception desk, even the corridors are swarming with staff.

the restaurant is very good with many kinds of foods.

The food was very tasty with a great variety.

Excellent breakfast with plentiful Western and Eastern cuisine.

In consideration that we are in china I could say that the food service is excellent with all forms of Chinese and International dishes.

Food is also in various choice and styles.

Location is great with many places to shop and eat close by.

The hotel has a nice restaurant and there is a wide variety of other eating and drinking establishments nearby.

Overall, a great location to stay for business - most of their front of house staff can converse in English.

although it caters more to the Chinese community, staff were hospitable.

From the greeting at the entrance and the staircase and atrium this is a very nice hotel.

Personnel and the service concept very Chinese (= not too many or good English speakers).

Checking out was also done quite efficiently at the counter by the checking-out staff.

This hotel will impress you the minute you walk in and see the grand lobby, the welcome of tea at the front desk, and the sheer amount of gold on everything.

All the staff is very polite and helpful.

I was suggested to this hotel by my client and was very happy with freindly and efficient staff at Jinshi.

I came home from dinner to find a platter of fruit on my desk with a handwritten notes from the duty manager advising that they would be pleased to assist in anyway and that they were happy to have me in the hotel.They think of everything!

The only thing about this hotel is that it is about 15minute walk to shops or the a 5 min cab ride to the centre of town.

5 mins in a taxi to a great shopping centre with 'golden eagle' huge store where there are lots of restaurants.

The fitness center is well equipped for those that want circuit training or any dedicated muscle training.

Service is fine, staff can speak english well and very friendly.

The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly

but the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

I recommend this hotel for anyone travelling on business or vacations.

was there on business and let me tell you, nothing Holiday Innish at all.

It makes no sense and makes me wonder if the room was really a non-smoking room.

Additionally, cigarette smoke also comes into my room thru air conditioning system, which makes me very uncomfortable.

Major issue was sewage smell in bathroom after shower was taken.

but actually i spotted twice that tenants have lighting cigarettes on their mouths, walking in the hall and in elevator.

There is also a mini market by the reception.

The staff were very accommodating and the room was impressive.

The concierge counter - Mr Su was extremely helpful with our airport transfer arrangement and on top of it, he also helped to recommend some places for dinner in town and arranged a taxis for me.

In that time I have found the staff on the front desk to be very helpful and generally someone has a reasonable command of English which for myself is a bonus.

We stayed there 3 nights and the staff was very helpful

Rooms and bed were very comfortable, quiet and staff were great.
