The elevators number is short with 3 total for the whole building, whch takes longer time to wait for the elevator.

The only grouse I had with the hotel was the lift - There is only 1 lift that goes to the basement and it takes forever (figure of speech) for a lift to arrive.

However, the lift is not so convenient for the new-comer- door closed too quickly for us to swipe the card.

Elevators are limited and you must be quick to swipe your card or you could find yourself going the wrong way or past your floor

Hence, during the morning peak hours, I had to wait quite a long time for the lift to come.

Only 3 elevators dedicated to the hotel which is part of a shopping cum office complex.

Take a little longer to wait elevator, because lobby is on the high floor of building.

There are only 3 elevators which take forever to go up or down.

The only small downside is that the lobby is located high up on the 23rd floor, and there is no elevator to take from the hotel to get to the meeting rooms on the 22nd floor.

It was hard to get a taxi at the hotel and the elevators are a little slow.

The elevators were swift with little wait times.

When you find the building, you enter on floor 1 and are directed to take the elevator up to floor 23.

The check-in not being on the entrance lobby bothers me a little, I really don't feel well taking an elevator to proceed with check-in.

but a few things are a bit annoying: size of the room can vary greatly (some are fairly small), the lifts are so slow and the quilt covers are not made of cotton so they add an additional cotton bedsheet which is quite annoying.

As others have noted, the Westin's lobby is on the 23rd floor, so there are often inconvenient waits for the elevator at peak periods.

Only 3 lifts, which is not sufficient and in addition, they are incredible slow.

The only inconvenience was probably the wait for the elevator and the distance of the fitness center from the rooms, which is a bit of a walk.

There are only three lift and you can be sure to wait quite some time in front of it during rush hour.

Executive lounge was small with great views of Nanjing city.

The 2 night stay was Excellent due to Mr. Jiang in Concierge, Mandy Ma in the Executive Lounge, and Alice Yao and Paula Heng from Room Staff.

Westin Nanjing is outstanding hotel with great service, Executive Lounge, facility and spa and a good fitness center as seen in the attached pictures.

We were fortunate to stay on the Executive Lounge floor and the service in the lounge provided by Kiko, Winnie, Janae and Cherry was simply exceptional.

The friendly services received from staff at the executive lounge was also very good.

The service in executive lounge is very good, all guest service spec are ready & willing to help and serve when in need.

The happy hour in executive lounge is wonderful.

Angeline from Executive lounge did a brilliant job of getting us our suite early as we arrived quite early.

However all the staff at executive lounge on 33rd floor were all very attentive and friendly.

The happy hour in the Executive Lounge offers a good choice of  hot food,  from Dim Sum, to  Pizza,  egg rolls, to salad, fruit, and dessert.

Was here to visit old friends and the Executive Suite and Executive Lounge was very nice.

The Westin Nanjing has a wonderful location next to Xuanwu Lake, and we were lucky to get an upgrade to the lake view suite, thanks to the friendly staff at the executive club lounge!

The friendly housekeeping lady, Ms. Yao who works on the Club Lounge floor, cleaned my room and my parents’ room with the uttermost proficiency.

We loved the friendly service in the hotel, thanks to the front desk staffs.

Conference facilities were perfect, staff friendly and efficient.

The Lounge is very friendly and Bonnie is very pleasant and hard working to give satisfaction to the guests.

The hotel itself is large and modern; check in and out was friendly and easy.

Firstly the staff were very friendly and helpful both offering information on the hotel and premises as well as offering directions to tourist sites and recommendations on how to get there.

Rico Hu and Shelly Qian were very helpful and friendly.

Room was clean, bed is confortable, staff were very friendly, reception boy show me the way to the lake, introduce the famous restaurant in the shopping mall to me.

As this still did not convince him I asked to speak to the hotel manager.

Upon check in, the hotel, a receptionist took our face-photograph and requested to show a passport.

We had booked another room for the next day, so my wife asked him about the room.

To give a few examples of my recent experience;
1) When I could not connect to the room WiFi, and had requested for an Ethernet cable, I was told I needed to pay a RMB100 cash deposit.

I requested to meet the GM as it had been too much in less than 24 hours,

I accidentally left my headphone of my last of staying (about 2 months ago), the hotel called me immediately to let me know after I checked out, because this headphone is not worth for them to mail to me so I asked them to keep it till I return.

When I had asked the staff, they just replied that there would not be any replenishment.

To add insult to injury, the hotel expects guests to actively request for housekeeping by putting out a placard they place in the room (which of course I was too jet lagged after a 20 hour trip to notice).

After 2 nights of "night skiing," I requested for the matress to be changed. It was promptly changed and we stopped skiing

For instance, the staff in the gym like Mr. Zhong Chen offered the earnest helps when I got my locker locked without the key.

Jennifer Red Rosie was super helpful to us during our stay in Nanjing.

Carrie, Angela and Joyce are very professional and they ensured my stay in Nanjing a wonderful experience.

Joyce and Carrie in Westin Executive Club are very kind and helpful.

All the staff members treated me very nicely by greeting and smiling.

Very nice hotel - and location is near the Xuanwu lake (walking distance) - the entrance is a bit tight for taxis for cars to turnaround - the staff provide excellent service and rooms are comfortable

The room was comfortable, quite large, very quiet, and it had a small sitting area, good work desk area, and good lighting.

Westin Nanjing has been one of my favor hotel for number of years, the location is excellent, it is above a mall and subway.

The location is good, being close to the subway and close to shopping.

The hotel is located close to the subway and one of the gates for the Nanjing city wall.

Very convenient & easy to reach by subway, station of Xuanwumen of Line 1 from 2 main railway stations, Nanjing Train Station & South Train Station.

Subway can reach most of the attractions in Nanjing.

Excellently located for subway and Xuanwu Lake/Park which is really worth a visit if you want to chill out and need some exercise!

Close to the Lake (Xuan Wu Hu), Nanjing Train Station (2 stops by subway), downtown, etc.

On the positive side, the hotel is located very conveniently near the subway (line1) and Xuanwu lake, approximately 5 mins walking to each destination.

Coming from Beijing, it was easily accessed through subway.

it was clean with friendly stuffs and a great view of the lake  in the restaurant, and near to the subway, the breakfast was awesome , it was the best place i could stay in nanjing.

The hotel is located next to a mall (though it's now under renovation), 5 minute walk to the subway and a 10 minute walk to Xuanwu Lake.

The location is also pretty good as it's on a subway stations which gets to most historical attractions.

Easy to reach with public transportation (subway) and close to Xuanwu Lake Park.

The hotel is very close to the subway and there are so many good restaurants in the area and it made for a very nice area to walk around.

The breakfast was very good and the hotel location near the lake and the subway made it perfect.

It's also located next to a subway stop, so it's easy if you come in from the train station.

Second was to have a room which was supposed to have a lake view and in fact got the lake view if you are going to one particular place in the room to see it.

The hotel has a view to Xuan wu lake and city view.

Some of the rooms have a great view of the lake and the historical wall which is worth a look.

The hotel is much better than the Sheraton in Nanjing with the perfect location and lake view.

This is a decent sized room, with a bright tone and views of Xuan Wu Lake.

but the vision is narrow because the architect design compromises to allow every room have lakeside view.

The Club Lounge was a very spectacular one.

I particularly liked the Club Lounge as the service is excellent.

It can cause some damage to the bank cards, when sandwiched with other key cards.

Hour 6: finally they put a pre- auth on my card.

but on departure we were charged 466 RMB.

Now here is where our frustrations come, we had to find a way to spend the ¥800 dining credit because it couldn’t be applied to the Christmas Buffet.

Finally we got back to hotel at 4, and when taking the room cards, it seemed they’ve changed us the room to one in Floor 62.

The ATM in the lobby does not work with foreign cards (my wife and I tried several different types) -- there is a branch of the bank of china a few blocks walk away where the ATMs do work for foreigners.

Only problem here is they only issue 1 card and with 2 person in a room, both have to go up or down together.

The Intercontinental Hotel has some issues:
- Our room on arrival was not ready (2pm and booked a week in advance)
- We were offered another room which was ready for 200 RMB more

They gave us our food vouchers without telling us about the need to reserve spots.

Breakfast was a revelation - no one offered tea or coffee.

The service is stretched out over a very large area and if sitting at one end, you have to walk a long way from your table just to see what was on offer.

Special remark for the kindness and professionality of Cristal which always ensure perfect and sweet service.

The main beauty of the suite is the Xuanwu Lake view with much of the additional northern city in view.

Our family stayed at IC Nanjing for one night and our basic king-bed room was pre-upgraded to a high-floor lake view room with a fabulous view of Xuanwu Lake.

The location is great near Xuanwu Lake and other attractions.

Location wise is quite central to some of the well visited tourist spots such as Xuanwu Lake, Nanjing Massacre Memorial and Presidential Palace.

We had a room which was fit to play Mini-Golf, it was literally huge with a separate closet area, a big office desk to work and great view of the XUANWU LAKE.

The room was spacious and we had a beautiful view over the Xuanwu Lake.

The hotel building the the highest one in Nanjing, it has good view of Zijin Mountain and Xuanwu Lake.

We had an afternoon tea at the Horizon club lounge with the family staycation package.

Soft drink selection, tea and coffee more or less was just ok. 

Food at club lounge must be improved a lot.

For breakfast at the club lounge they offer a wide variance of high quality international dishes combined with a local touch, furthermore you can also choose complimentary  from a menu, I personally recommend the Zhenjiang noodles with an egg inside 😋.

This is my fourth stay with the hotel and every time I was received with the warmest greeting at the Horizon Club Lounge by Clark Yuan, the Front Office Manager.

Club lounge provides quick bites during breakfast, afternoon tea and evening.

We had breakfast twice at the Club lounge; nice decor with average service.

The rooms that are in the front of the hotel have good views of the city and the view from the club lounge can be quite breath-taking at night.

Breakfast at the Horizon Club lounge is great, food is good and space is big with relaxing feels.

For example, in our bathroom (#3711), the bathtub top had been broken in two different locations and was poorly fixed with cheap plaster.

But then reacted quickly to fix it when I said I cannot stand to stay in a smoking room.

Hopefully it will be fixed or i will have another restless night.

but also spacious and comfortable rooms, and well-trained, friendly and helpful staff.

We had friendly check-in at their lounge on 40th floor.

The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs, and made us feel very welcomed.

One prime example was elements of the a la carte service, in which select items were distributed by the serving staff.
