Very clean rooms and cookies at front desk!

All the staff were very welcoming,  they made sure we had everything we needed, the entire hotel was  Immaculate our rooms were immaculent!!!!

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, and the breakfast was always great.

Luckily a woman walked out and my mom asked her if that was cat pee and she said no it was the dairy, Our room and the inside of the building smelled fime.

We stayed in a room that overlooked into the pool room which made our room reek of chlorine and was so loud we had to avoid staying in our room because it was so loud all the time.

lumpy horrendous mattress and extremely filthy ingrained dirt carpet did not expect at supposedly a  highly rated hotel.

Indeed, driving up, I’m thinking, “I bet this place smells like old people too.”

The shower tiles are dirty and the drains are corroded  with hard water.

but obviously it would smell a little like chlorine!

however, our room this time was a "Suite" and although it was large, the carpet badly needed to be replaced, the furniture was a little funky and it smelled old.

That I guess also applied to the fact that mold was starting to grow around the bathtub.

My only complaint was that our room had a very strong chlorine smell because it had a door that led directly into the indoor pool.

There was kind of a musty odor in the room.

Because we were on the second floor next to the indoor pool, there was a musty smell filling our room.

Fortunately we were able to transfer to another room on the opposite side of the building away from the stench and noise.

but the new replacements smelled just as bad.

The carpet in the room is absolutely disgusting.

however the carpet in our room was old and had threads showing at the edges, plus I thought the bathroom smelled a little bit like urine, even though everything "looked" clean.

but she was soft spoken smelled like bad b.o and cigerattes

Difficult to keep room comfortable with the wall base heater.

The brick walls really keep the noise down.

The wall air conditioners are a pain - too cold, too noisy.

The structure is a unique textured concrete throughout and the walls between room are very structural as well, leading to virtually zero noise transfer.

This was the quietest hotel room I think I have ever stayed in, due to the quality of the walls.

With the brick walls, it is also quieter than many motels we've stayed at.

Something about those weird concrete walls just completely deadens any noises.

Walls are very thin, can hear people laughing and the TV all night.

The only downside was the texture and colors of the interior walls felt pretty industrial or at least institional.

Solid walls and floors keep noise levels at a minimum.

though there was a loud fan in the bathroom wall that ran constantly -- with no switch to turn it off.

The room was a little tight - not a lot of room between the beds or walls.

However, there was some kind of blue soap or shampoo streaking the walls when we checked in.

Three buses of high school students were in the hotel at the same time as I was, yet I couldn't hear them through those walls.

Walls are a bit thin and let sound through a bit more than most hotels.

We turned on the wall unit to start the heat  noticing it was totally turned off.

though the walls of our room looked like cement bricks).

AC was on full blast when we walk in, floor was filthy and covered in stains (turned my socks black within a few mins), floor had debris throughout the room, clearly had not been vacuumed.

Only wish they had a bathroom fan, room steamed up during showers and you could see walk damage due to the moisture.

Not a fan of the hotel gym nor pool towels.

Our only issues were the bathroom fan not working and the tub drain being a bit dirty and not fully closing.

The air conditioner settings didn't seem to change no matter what the settings were.

but a bit humid and was hard to breath with all the chemicals and humidity.

6AM beeps from the waffle makers, kids running, doors opening and closing all day and night with 1" gaps at bottom of doors, curtains coming down, heater not working, horrible stay, way too expensive, rip off, if I could, I would want  half my money back.

No exhaust fan in the bathroom left things a bit foggy.

but no closet and the air conditioner was kind of loud.

The only disappointment was that there was not an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

I didn't like the radiator type heat/air conditioning unit it was noisy.

First room door lock was defective and had to move after unpacked.

Fan was a little loud and you only have the choice of on or off.

When my husband and I walked into our room the a/c and heater was apart and laying on the floor.

Our room had a really noisy air conditioner, not sure if they all do.

When I got up to the room after checking in the air conditioner wasn't working.

However, the bathroom sink didn't drain, there was no ice machine on the second floor, and the air conditioner loudly clicked on and off about every 90 seconds all night long no matter what we did.

It might be helpful if there were some sort of buffer for sound besides turning on the air conditioning.

We were mostly able to alleviate this problem by turning on the AC unit on its "fan only" setting to get ourselves some white noise.

So I thought it was all cancelled and then on the day of my stay I got charged for 104.46.

They have a no charge and no hassle policy in regards to our two small dogs.

Also, breakfast is included and dogs are not charged extra.

No additional charges for having pet accompany trip either.

After I checked out they added a 250.00 smoking charge.

They waited until after I checked out to charge my credit card.

There is no charge for having a dog at most of the La Quinta hotels.

The rooms were fine and the service adequate, But the policy of requiring payment way in advance and then charging near triple the normal nightly rate was unacceptable.

however they charged me double the night stay the 2nd night because it was graduation weekend for The university there.

.how cold you charge my account with the name being Cunison instead of Tunison??? 4.

I love that we can bring her and not be charged an extra fee.

Think a hotel should notify guests when remodels are in play and they charge a premium.

Since the weekend is a special weekend the hotel saw fit to charge me 2.5 times the normal rate for the room.

They double charged me and then also charged my boyfriends debit card as well.

They charged us over $200/night just because there was a college graduation in the area and the last night of our stay it was $99.

La Quinta doesn't charge an extra fee for your dogs to stay here, so why won't you pick up after your dog after they go potty?

The prices continue to rise and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms continues to decline.

The desk clerk was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless as were the common areas.

I like how before were given our room key they verified our room was clean and ready for occupancy.

First time was for WSU week of welcome, accommodations were great, rooms were clean and well kept.

The rooms are clean and comfy, breakfast is included and there was a lovely variety of breakfast choices.

This is really you're average Holiday Inn Express with clean rooms, comfy beds and a decent breakfast.

The TV in the sitting room was probably 42” and mounted on a wall opposite the sofa.

The room wasn't quite as clean as I would have liked, and the walls were very thin and the room very loud.

2) The combo A/C and heater unitis controlled by a thermostat on the wall that is impossible to set correctly.

Most hotels of this type have plastic showers and bath tubs, here they have ceramic tile on the walls, very classy.

The shower was the worst, with huge gaps behind the faucet and shower head pipe, exposing the holes in the wall behind!

although we stayed in a 2nd floor corner room, the walls are so thin we cringed when above/below neighbors had to "see a man about a horse".

The temperature control was on the wall, and its operation seemed strange - it always blew cold air, even as I raised temperature.

My only complaint with HIE tends to be thin walls - woken up at 6am by the neighbour showering.

Only negative we noticed was the walls are a bit thin.

I think they should consider changing the outer wall into a big glass opening wall, similar to what some other hotels have.

Putting up a grab bar in the bathroom does not make a room accessible.

Also, when the people above flushed the toilet it sounded like a mini rainfall go down the wall which was loud .

Every time someone in the room above us flushed we could hear the plumbing in the wall next to one of the beds .

There was dirt and dust and “residue” on every ledge and counter, there were feces and urin from previous guests in the bathroom and pubic hair everywhere.

but the sink stopper was broke and needs fixed and the air conditioner didn't work right and it was a must have because of the hot weather.

I kept findng strands of long, black hair - on a towel, in the tub, on the toilet paper roll.The toilet had a ton of black marks on the inside (probably a function of just how old it was), the shower curtain was orange at the bottom and smelled of mildew.

The enamel was all chipped off the toilet making it look dirty.

The trash was not dumped in the bathroom.

The tub faucet had a significant noisy water leak.

but as a place for a shower and sleep for a night or two, it is not too bad.

We were on the first floor and could hear every move made in the room above us, from walking, showering, flushing toilet and talking.

The bathroom area was very small and only one person could be in there at a time.

but my supposed non-smoking room smelled like smoke, the bathroom needs repair, and seemed generally unclean.

Maybe some new toilet seats and vinyl floors in the bathroom would help

I experienced breathing issues during the night, an when I checked the air filters on the heater/AC in the morning it was obvious they had not been cleaned in ages! !

Yet we signed a paper stating we would not smoke.

Do not stay at this filthy and dangerous hotel.

I can not use a blow dryer if I don’t wish to look like I stuck my finger in a light socket and so I went to bed with damp hair .

It was filthy & unhygienic in COVID time.Even when I left message for housekeeping to clean our room.

I had already paid $100 for a filthy room and refused to pay extra for a couple of hours.

The second room had the smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling.

If you love the smell of cigarette smoke this is the place for you!

The carpet smelled of must and cigarettes.

The hallways smelled of musty cigarette smoke.

The room was a bit too noisy, especially at night (midnight), the guest on the upper room will take showers and all the water running down the pipes was really noise going down to the sewer.

The hallways "smelled funny" as my kids put it.

Room smelled of reoderizer, so you know that means.

The only problem was a daily doubling of a pending charge on my card for potential incidentals.

I did not like the fact that they charged 50% more on the night before the UI or WSU football game

A little over a week later we had an issue with our credit card company refusing to release the hold on our card

Room was clean and nice, breakfast was good and the location was convienent to everything.
