The room had no A/C, by the way we took the delux room.

We could almost not sleep because the room was suffocating and hot.

The downside was that the air conditioning was not working properly and needs updating, the curtains in the room needed updating as well.

A hotel that is of Relais et Chateau stature should, at the very least, have a fan.

There does not appear to be any air conditioning, which I'm sure isn't a problem in the winter (and I know is something of an American idiosyncrasy).

The extra room smelled moldy and musty and had no heater in it.

Food quality is good, both for dinner and breakfast.

Breakfast was basic continental, lunch and dinner were good.

Each morning we had a lovely breakfast gbuffet and the coffe was so good.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the mountains, was varied with lots of fresh fruit as well as everything else (we did not have other meals at the hotel).

but we ate breakfast from an excellent selection on a gorgeous terrace with a magnificent view of the mountains.

Add very friendly staff and you have all the ingredients for a pleasant stay.

Since we are early birds, I cannot tell what the full breakfast menu was available.

The staff was extremely accommodating, the breakfast was perfect as was the dinner in Tapies!

The breakfast was served in a wonderful windowed dining room with tables inside and out that look out at the mountains.

The breakfasts are very good as is the food in the restaurants.

There is a nice breakfast buffet in a garden room.

The service at the hotel was incredibly friendly and the included breakfast was delicious.

A wonderful selection of locally sourced ingredients produces amazing dishes in the restaurant and every member of Staff here seem to make an 'extra effort' to ensure guests are looked after.

The staff is nice & accommodating; the breakfast is very good .We were at the resort when a tour group were also there & perhaps that is why we expected a little more .

The breakfasts were wonderful as was the other meals we had there.

Rooms were out of date and bathrooms were cramped and  had non- or poorly functioning amenities (hair dryer and showers), leaking faucets, stained and dirty carpets and poor housekeeping.

but we stay at R&C properties in part for the food and this was a poor representation.

We were quite a distance from the lobby & Internet was very poor for a 5 star hotel.

but the WiFi was very poor, and this is important for us.

This is at best a 3 stars hotel in need of renovation and service improvement.

but is in need of some renovation, particularly the carpeting.

but homely feeling ,the room is large and comfortable but the bathroom disappointing,small and outdated.

Otherwise the spa area was nice, and the outdoor pool relaxing.

I got to have a massage in the spa and it was ok,

Sauna, Turkish bath, gym, beautiful shower rooms, treatment rooms.

The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were pristine, the gym was good and indoor pool, wet and dry saunas were great.

There is a swimming pool and spa and restaurants.

The hotel site itself is also very nice, gardens, beautiful pool, spa, 2 very good restaurants, and of course the historical "Castell" above the hotel.

There is an indoor and an outdoor pool and a very nice spa.

Beautiful view of Pyrenees from our room deck, great restaurant, small pool, ok massage, nice quiet bar.

We also took advantage of the spa which was great.

The staff are polite and helpful, the rooms are delightful, the spa and its facilities the best.

We took advantage of the spa, the wonderful restaurants, the pool, and the peaceful property, to rest up for our remaining trip.

However a big part of why we enjoy the hotel is the pool and sauna/steam room and this visit the sauna and steam room were advertised as being open from 7.30am.

Fabulous location overlooking the valley, Cadi mountain range and town of la Seu d'Urgell, and our comfortable spacious room came with a terrace sharing the same great view!

In a charming town just off the main road.

The town of Seu D`Urgell itself is very Spanish and splendidly old fashioned and we still feel this is a wonderful area and hotel to spend a relaxing comfortable few days.

that get's you at the Cathedral and the nice historic town of El Sei d'Urgell in a nice, leisurely walk past the forest and river in 15-20 minutes.

This hotel has a beautiful setting just outside of town.

As part of our tour the hotel owner took us on a walking trip around the town.

Staff are superb , food very good , rooms delightful , proximity to a a very nice town , good facilities at the hotel and all in all a terrific place to relax and completely unwind .

If you happen to meet Katya, the owner, she is a delightful, knowledgeable woman about food and the town.

If so, this is what you get at this wonderful hotel which is near enough town to walk there yet far enough to feel that you are in the middle of nowhere.

Close to old town and very close to Andorra.

Service is great and the view over the town and mountains is very nice.

We enjoyed a day trip and hiking up beyond Toloriu in a town called El Querforadat.

I want to go spend a week or more there to see more of the town and area

but is well maintained, with beautiful views across the valley.

The view of the valley and the Pyranees beyond was gorgoeus in the morning light.

The view from the hot tub was spectacular.

The view from our room was terrific and generally speaking the buildings and grounds were extremely well looked after.

The views from all of the hotel rooms are spectacular.

If the weather had been drier and warmer, we would have enjoyed having a drink on the patio adjacent to the dining room with views of the town and mountains.

The rain allows us anyway to enjoy the external hot water Jacuzzi with its views.

To look out of the windows and enjoy the view is a welcomed bonus.

The hot tub outside overlooking the Pyrenees is breathtaking.

Guests are seated at a the table according to her ideas (“the lady should sit here”), or sent outside to wait until her staff has cleaned the tables in the restaurant and then forgotten for 30mins.

For Cocktails on the terrace we waited 15 minutes for the waiter to come.

but that hadn't come after a 20 minute wait, so we canceled our order and left.

We chose half-board and breakfast and diner were very good and plentiful.

Great location, quiet, comfortable  beds, great breakfast, no plumbing issues, friendly staff.

Consequently our dinner was far too late for us, delicious

They did have an excellent breakfast, and a nice bar area.

The breakfast was a buffet with adequate choices.

Breakfast was "self service" from a good buffet selection, with the addition of a small selection of freshly cooked hot items ( eggs etc ) Good Covid safety was shown, and we felt safe.

The Coffee / Tea hot food ( bacon, eggs etc ) were ordered from the waiting staff and quickly taken to our table.

My rate included breakfast, which was a large buffet with an assortment of very nice items.

Breakfast is a generous self service buffet with good feshly gound coffee.

The breakfast was one of the best we have had at a Parador.

The breakfast is served in buffet form and the hotel is offering a large variety for all sorts of food, including warm food.

With so many choices to eat in the area, we did not have breakfast or dinner here.

The breakfast was as in Paradores vast with a multitude of options.

The staff were great, food was good, both breakfast and dinner.

We stayed just one night with friends on a dinner bed and breakfast basis and enjoyed ourselves.

I would recommend getting the breakfast as it was excellent with a great selection.

The charge is 8€ per day for uncovered spaces, 10€ per day for covered spaces, or you can park in the garage underneath the hotel for 15€ per day.

but instead slowly use any bank card with a magnetic strip.

HOWEVER, as our car was loaded we wanted some security overnight and parked in the hotel's basement garage (lifts directly to all floors) and were charged €15 for the privilege.

Charged EUR4 to park a motorbike which for a rural town is a bit cheeky.

but the second time we dined in the Parador, I tried to have a full portion of sausage, but with french fries not beans, a half portion of sausage arrived - with beans again and the chips were served separately - and charged for over and above the cost of the menu.

I was charged for parking the motorbike in an unsecured area which was annoying.

but plan on disputing it with my credit card company.

My wife & I stayed on the nights of 11th & 12th August on a 5 night card.

A few irritations - they charge 10 euros a day to park and as we had two vehicles that racked up 60e; the group menu was disappointing on the first evening - they could only come up with two choices (despite the booking being made months ahead).

When we came to check out they had charged us for two motorbikes for 2 nights.

Parking is not easy unless you pay (or have an Amigo´s card).

We recently stayed here and found the hotel to be a mixture of some excellent things with others that were poor, given that the hotel is not cheap.

Our only criticism was that the wifi in the room was very poor and in the end we went and sat in the lovely peaceful lounge for a while to use our laptop and iPad.

I could connect to wifi for more than one hour and when I finally got the connection it was more than poor and slow.

Internet was quite poor - had to keep logging-on.

As mentioned in other reports, Wifi is patchy and poor.

The food in the restaurant - as in most Paradors in Spain - was commercial and very poor, the wine list was pathetic.

We had booked two rooms for two nights and because of the poor ambiance, we asked if we could check out a day early the evening we checked in.

Dinner was delicious and the service was excellent.

Our evening meal was very good and we both felt it was probably the best when compared to the other 3 Paradors.

We lliked the bar and the restaurant very much.

Food in the restaurant excellent and reasonably priced wine list.

Great overnight stay on the road north with a memorable dining experience in the restaurant.

The reception and restaurant staff ( well everyone we encountered ) was friendly and professional.

It was good value at 12€ We did not try dinner,

I was thrilled that the hotel had an on-site restaurant, as I wanted to try the Catalan menu for dinner one night.

Our dinners have been superbly cooked, locally sourced and well presented

The on site restaurant was an added bonus and the meal choices were outstanding.

The Tasting menu at dinner is not to be missed, fabulous and super value.

We stayed half board and all food and service were excellent.

The town is beautiful and the people friendly and welcoming.

This is an area of outstanding beauty and the last town before entering Andorra.

This was in a town unlike the other two, and largely modern in design

We enjoyed the small town (make sure you pop into the library and watch the rafting).

however, a plus staying here  in that it is on the edge of the old town and close to where the canoeing happened for the Barcelona Olympics!

Overall, this is still a very lovely hotel with very nice history and charm, and it's located in an excellent position in town.

While staying at this hotel, we were able to walk to so many points of interest within the town.

After a shower and short rest, we walked into the town for a gelato and coffee.

Right at the edge of the beautiful old town easy walk to shops, restaurants, bars and tea rooms.

Well worth a visit.We saw all of the town in one day, so if you were there any longer, you would need to go further afield.

The hotel is a hidden gem, as is the town -- full of history and beauty, nestled in a corner of the Pyrenees.

This is another modern Parador in the small town of La Seu de Urgell.

Unlike other Paradores where we stayed, this is located in town, on the edge (or maybe inside) the old town.

A beautiful property in the heart of the mountains.

The views from the window / balcony was spectacular looking over mountains and fields .

This would be our first stop on our IMT motorcycle tour thru the Pyrenees mountains.

Our room was stunning, very large and the bathroom superb, very roomy and all the facilities you could wish for.

We arrived here after a long travel day and immediately felt comfortable and warm. The room was large with a great view of the mountains (we saw snow up there on our second morning!)

The room had a little balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains and it was big and with a good bathroom.

It's a short drive to Andorra (didn't go) and a half-hour drive to the tiny town of Cava, where we did a mountain hike (make sure you have the map on Google Earth.

We had a Superior room with a lovely view of the Mountains.

The public areas are lovely and the view from our room over the countryside was beautiful, especially as the sun set.

I recommend it anyway, for location, views and service.

The youngsters hired mountain bikes and went hiking, we strolled around the Olympic Park.

but when you expect to have wifi and then cannot do things like communicate with the next place you are staying then that is extremely irritating.

but unfortunately the WIFi, as at other paradors, is very slow at peak times when they're system doesn't cope with the numbers of guests using WiFi nowadays.

Shame the wifi is way below average, an hotel like this should have much better wifi.

but very bad internet (not at all up to required standard).

The big disappointment was the quality of the WIFI which was totally unreliable on 4 different devices, not only in the room

Wifi is non-existent in the rooms, you need to go down to the bar area to get reception.

The only issue we had was that we had to keep logging into the WiFi.

The corridor was hotter than Hades because of the design of the hotel, which made the room warm, and there was no wifi signal to the room either.

The rooms are basic, bed ok, airco soso and leaking water on the bathroom ceiling which dripped down after a while.

The bed and furniture was fine, if not a bit jaded,

but we still had to stick to the twin beds.

We got a room with a double bed and a single bed, while I specifically asked for a room with three single beds.

However everything worked as expected and the breakfast was fine.

I got a generous gluten-free breakfast and we also had a delicious meal (weekly menu is fantastic).

Rooms were spacious and quiet, and breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and high quality ingredients.

We did have breakfast on the terrace, which was a great setting.

The breakfast was a dismal affair for Spain and we felt quite cheated, this being the least presentable/choice of breakfast we have experienced in the Pyrenees area which we visit frequently.

Breakfast was plentiful and with many choices.

Hearty Breakfast, individually prepared scrumbled eggs.

The breakfast was a great continental spread.

but that felt part of its charm
The reason I have this 4* rather than 3, was that the staff were really lovely, the place has a nice genuine feel, and the open area of the hotel where we had breakfast was fantastic

The continental breakfast had plenty of the typical European offerings.
