The whole hotel is spotless and our room was cleaned each day whilst at breakfast.

but the shower in our room was a bit small for an over sized person plus you have a high step to get in and could be of a problem for older people.

Our pristine room had a balcony which overlooked the ocean.

Parking in Pescara is a major problem, and the parking at the hotel is somewhat tight!!

The only negative was the tight parking situation in the hotel's parking lot.

The dishes are not overloaded with sugar or fat.

but the popular dishes ran out quickly and took a while to replenish.

A group stay that was accommodated for very thoroughly, rooms very clean and tidy, pleasant stay, very quite in rooms, no disturbed sleep , bedding comfortable A*, breakfast very nice too.

Our room had White Walls with white sheets and no decorations on the walls, desk.

I booked a standard room and I was really pleased by seeing the evacuation plan attached to the door, less by the double bed (two single beds pushed together) that was really uncomfortable and by the fact that the walls are so thin to allow you to hear what happens in the next room, the airplane preparing to land, and other undefined noise.

the walls of the room are quite light, telephone calls from the neighbour can be followed.

Once in the room you have to insert the plastic square into the wall slot to turn on the lights.

Yeh noisy thin walls is the main feature of this otherwise well located and intentioned hotel.

The rooms are clean, small, and the walls are thin (which means you hear your neighbours very well, and also you hear every noise in the corridor, during day and night. ).

The door of the bathroom was not closing.

The badroom was very small with a very small shower cabine which is not suitable for adults (too small).

The only thing I noticed was that the shower head seemed to big for the actual cubicle so it was a little claustrophobic.

Shower is quite small i struggled to shampoo my hair not sure what a bigger size person would do (i am a size 8) maybe they have bigger shower cubicles in other rooms!

Very small for a 4 person family and if you want to take a shower do it in the beadh becouse the shower place is so small that you cant bend to take the soap on the foor or to wash yourself.

Our shower, old style, had an enjoyable xlarge shower head.

The shower box is very small, the small I have ever seen in any hotel.

The cubicle was 50cm x 50cm so that was really difficult to take a shower by adult.

but the bathrooms are very small and dark.

but there are other larger, beaches all along the strand with more amenities (and
 by amenities, I really  mean bar service).

I read some of the reviews so was prepared for the small shower and breakfast.

There was all sorts of vanity kits and shower caps on the toilet. Tip!

The shower was so small i would have to position myself diagonally in order to lift my legs up to wash them.

The only negative is that the shower was the smallest I have ever used and I had to turn the water off so I could shampoo my hair! .

I think you can get better service in a camping site with few facilities, so before you come or book take heed or bring your own instant shower pack.

Just one negative and that is the road can be a bit noisy at night

During the night you will hear every single noise from outside.

The only downside was that the hotel was a bit noisy at night which can affect your sleep.

I've read early where there were 4 lanes of traffic to cross to get to the beach and this is simply not true its a mere 2 lanes  across on a designated cross walk.

The hotel is facing a busy main road, so it's quite noisy at night time with cars and scooters beeping like mad all night long:( it never disturbed us much

Traffic noise is a problem if you intend getting any sleep, with the windows open.

Our room faced the front of the hotel, and the traffic noise was terrible and non-stop all night.

Good value family room was clean and comfortable with nice balcony.

Cleanliness of room was excellent, our cleaner Francesca was friendly and did a great job.

For a good price you can get a very clean room and a breakfast with a wide variety of choices.

Yes the decor is 1980ies, the facade needs a renovation, the windows need to be replaced and staff has a little attitude -

Rooms a little dated and no gym in the building.

The room was dated, very noisy in the morning, which woke us up, as it was located directly under the restaurant and had a slightly uncomfortable bed.

our room was a little dated, we did not have a room facing the front which didn't bother us as there was no traffic noise overnight.

The Esplanade is quite old fashioned, in that fin de siecle sort of way of old hotels, with stately decor and slightly shabby surroundings,

The "concept" is clearly "tasteless and old fashioned"),

Once you enter it is drab with no character, furnushing needs updating and staff need training in customer service.

corridors are empty and look like being in an industrial buiding.

Overall impression was that the hotel has seen better days, and could do with a refresh.

Unfortunately the rooms were small and ours was, frankly, dreary.

but we heard that the food and service in the evening was equally poor.

Breakfast service is very, very poor, infact we waitied 20mins to be served and had to then leave our seats to ask for breakfast (this happened every morning).

Bedroom amenities also quite limited - a small tv that didn't work to well (poor reception) was about it.

That being said and looking beyond the surface - this hotel has very welcoming polite staff, it was super clean and the room was spacious and the bed was comfy.

However, the room was clean and had stunning views over the sea.

It is loud, crowded in summer, and the parks and sidewalks are littered with dog feces (which apparently owners do not have to pick up) and cigarette

The rest was just average, not 4 stars (room a tad smelly, hard bed, old carpet and walling, disappointing breakfast)

Unfortunately the smell was still the same.

Then, went to my room - terrible mouldy smell in bathroom - got an allergic reaction and had to change room.

We asked for a sweet afterwards which took an age to appear and was a bit stale - the staff then disappeared completely.

Sounds and conversations from other rooms are quite easily heard, even if they're not especially noisy.

The wall are a bit thin, so noisy neighbours can be a problem.

CONS: Housekeeping typically drags furniture across the hard(wood) floors generating loud rubbing noises for hours as all rooms are serviced.

Our neighbors from above walked very loudly and dragged their chair on the floor,

No effective air conditioning only hot or cold and as the temperature to most Italians was cold we had to endure a stuffy room if you opened the window the noise was incredibly loud from the plaza below.

No cars are allowed to park in front of the hotel; it's in a piazza that is closed off from most traffic.

You could hear the chairs being drug across the floor in the room above you.

but as the main boulevard is closed off for pedestrian traffic, it could be difficult finding the parking area and our GPS did not seem to be updated with the streets.

The walls are thin and it's not quiet around there, so bring ear plugs to sleep.

Noisy room (other rooms' noises, not traffic - normal conversations and ring tones, not Saturday night parties) and, the worst thing of all, the non smoking room stinks of cigarettes.

I come to this hotel about 2or3 times a year , is located in center of pescara just a minute to train station , and near all shops and restaurants and cafe, its a kind of business hotel , rooms are clean and the staff are very much polite , is the best choice in pescara .

Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5, is that the walls seem unusually.

the wall paper was tired  starting to peel; only place to put luggage was on bed.

A shelf where a desk should be, a cupboard for a bathroom, polystyrene cups, nowhere for a case, bed against the wall, dated and shabby.

Have to say that it need already renovation, and they should more care about room details.

However the rooms look very outdated and the halls of the hotel give a hospital feeling.

The rooms need to be renovated to enhance the sound proofing qualities between the rooms.

The gate is close and in bad conditions full of rust.

She is dated and needs a bigger overhaul for the 4 star rating it claims,
