In the modern day world, the least you could expect was a call or an e-mail.

The room was modern and clean with daily housekeeping.

Modern hotel, seems to have been renovated recently.

The room was large and the bathroom modern

The room I stayed in was extremely modern.

The room was spacious, modern & very clean.

but ultra modern design which compensate the well finished meals offered by a fantastic team of  skillful chefs.

but it had a luxurious rain shower with a modern and clean feel throughout.

The hotel is a large and modern building.

The hotel is located on a hill above the sea  with beautiful modern rooms that have stunning panoramic views of the sea and city below and the castle above.

The hotel seems new and modern and the rooms were clean and big enough.

The pool areas were quiet during our stay.

Our suite overlooking the pool had plenty of space as well as a comfortable bed.

We always went to the public pool since that had a bar and was more lively.

The hotel is very clean, has 2 pools and a helpful front desk who will help you with local tips.

Ultimately, the restaurant was persuaded to serve us a salad outside by the pool.

There are two pool areas, one a public area to accommodate the appt/self catering and the other a terraced pool area for the hotel guests only.

They offered a worse hotel and the posibility to come back and use the pool - and no reimbursement.

Nice pool, nice restaurant, breakfast totally acceptable.

There is now also a second pool a few steps away with swim lanes.

Having a pool was an important factor for me when booking the hotel and it was nice and calm with enough chairs.

Stop over for a night on a hot day, interesting hotel a mix of hotel rooms and apartments at the end of Milazzo, bright comfortable room and good bathroom, large balcony, good pool which was welcoming after a drive from Catania, friendly welcome at reception, central service core and atrium spectacular, car park is a bit of a plod in the heat

Good air condition, nice pool area with sea view.

Pool- great, good size and perfect temperature.

although this hotel seems popular with families, especially in the summer, meaning the pool is used as a play area for kids.

Fantastic views from the room and two swimming pools.

It is spotless and bright and spacious and breakfast and all the things you'd want are there - great pool with views, lovely breakfast etc, yet it is lifeless and without character.

The Wi-Fi, as has been mentioned before, is incredibly poor in this day and age.

However: the hotel is hard to find; our room had an uninspiring view over the back yard and the balcony had no chairs; breakfast was very poor for a 4 star hotel; there was not much character - a case of style over content.

The sanitary facilities proved to be in a poor state.

but works well

Breakfast really very very poor !

Sound insulation in between floors poor, hope that the person above you doesn't walk about much or go for the highest floor rooms.

but very poor reception in the room or in general areas.

Breakfast is definitely not at the level of a 4 stars hotel, I would evaluate it as poor (not good fresh fruits, pastries averages, salty stuffs like cheese, ham, tomatoes. almost non existing, no egg.  )

although these were provided when I requested them.

It was my last morning when a waitor finally came and asked for the first and only time if I wanted coffee or a cappuccino.

but again this was not offered and when i asked they were non committal.

Staff is very unfriendly, we asked the reception three times to speak with the manager

However the staff were quite rude, they did not give us any information about the town and when asked simply gave us one word answers.

Breakfast is disappointing-cold and minimal choice.Coffe  refills only after multiple request.

Cheap toast bread run out and had to be asked ; SME happened with the cheep cheese and ham - incredible incompetent people 

I am usually quite relax about this -

When we asked for help we were told to leave our patio doors open for air.

At this point we requested to speak with the manager who agreed to get some supplies in especially for us the following morning.

The hotel is globally clean - large and nice room with view on Milazzo port  - staff at the breakfast particularly available and kind - staff at the reception rather distant - parking inside not very easy

The dining room staff were helpful and the room staff were diligent.

Hotel itself is neat and room and bathroom was nicely renovated.

The rooms facing the sea has a wonderful view over the sea and the mountains and the A/C is working really well.

The literature in the room indicated that the restaurant was open until ten and the bar open until 11.

The rooms are great, a decent size with a very comfortable bed.


We showed up at the hotel, expecting a room

I stayed in a room with sea view & cozy balcony.

The rooms have been redone in very pretty neutral shades.

We were a group of 15 and our rooms were lovely.

Our cousins in other rooms had robes and slippers.

I'll give 4+

On plus side:
1)Close territory with free parking
2)Big and clean rooms.

but wanted to leave this place after 10 minutes as we got into the room.

We stayed for a short stay , excellent location , excellent parking area , great Breakfast , good clean rooms.

Our room and general facilities were clean and in good condition.

It's the little things, like noticing a customer when they arrive or helping without asking or just simply ending the conversation with an "is that all, ok have a good day" and a smile.

The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly.

Although the hotel staff was very friendly, communication was sometimes difficult since they hardly spoke English.

We were very pleased with the Front Desk staff.

I met one kind receptionist during my stay.

Reception staff very helpful and friendly , even restaurant staff for both breakfast and dinner very friendly.

Staff was distant and we felt unwelcome especially when cheking in.

When we mentioned this at reception it was quickly replaced.

The hotel offers some wonderful views across the bay and to the hills beyond.

As with boutique hotels their are some aspects of this hotel that are great and very much a focus for the operators whilst other areas are maybe overlooked.

The hotel has a beautiful saltwater pool on the deck overlooking the bay.

Let me start with the positive:
As a solo traveller I really appreciated a decent sized room with a double bed and a big balcony with a limited view

Fantastic views from the balcony on the third floor onto the seaside and Etna volcano.

The only positive for me was it's quiet location and the view from the room.

Our "view" for this over-priced hotel was a stucco wall.

Balcony is also very stupid with view on parking and no chair or table to seat there.

A twin room with spa, Nespresso machine and a magnificent view overlooking the bay, Milazzo and with Mount Aetna in the distance.

The view from the poolside is fantastic and if the weather is good you can relax on a sun lounger and have a dip in the pool,

Attached photo was "Chapter 1: Raw of the mountain" the ham was spectacular the almond foam less so! !

This hotel is located in a beautiful area with spectacular views of the sea.

but it never was really clear why the water supply was not stable.

Some problems faced due to lack of a more competent maintenance management: certain difficulty in closing the bedroom door, an inefficient shower partition separating the tub from the bathroom area, allowing water to flood the bathroom floor, after each and every bath.

but i would have expected a 4 star hotel to have black tea and hot water.

The hot water was Luke warm and I had to ask several times for hot water which was never given.

While the quality of the cold dishes was quite good coffee turned out to be coloured water.

With the outside temperature getting close to 30 it was boiling hot, and at night we found it impossible to sleep.

A bottle of milk and a single bottle of water shouldn't cause a fridge to breakdown.

If you are getting up before 7am you need to allow 10-15minutes to let the hot water run through otherwise you get a cold shower.

-The water was hot in the bathroom , and instruction how to work the shower units!

but quickly fixed was the hot water that was at best look warm at 6am.

There's a nice Bar down stairs along with an great area to chill out in.

Great granitta at the bar accross the street.

The rooms were clean and tidy, well equipped and very individual  They kept the bar open for us and were very attentive.

The bar was comfortable and well stocked, the wi-fi always worked wonderfully and everyone who worked at La Chicca was incredibly helpful.

The hotel is ideally located close to restaurants, bars and shopping area.

The breakfast room is attractive - in fact it is the bar and restaurant -

The Hotel also has a comfortable lobby where wifi is available.The hotel is owned by two sisters, one of which is in the photo at the bar, she was just wonderful.

Staff is very helpful and kind - you can ask advice for restaurants and bars, as well if you need some help you can be sure that guys will tell you or try to make a solution for you, to make your stay more pleasant.

If you want to go to a bar (drinking) you have to walk +- 10 minutes .

There are lovely restaurants and bars near by.

Beaches, a castle, a pizza festival, excellent bakeries and more.

The hotel is very close to the waterfront with lots of good restaurants.

Close proximity to harbour for boats to Eoli Islands  as well as lungomare walkway!

Location was very good, it was right between the harbour area and the beach, so both were within minutes walk.

It's near the piers for cruises to the Eolian islands which is the main reason why you would stay in Milazzo, unless if you are in the refinery business.

We traveled to Cinque Terre, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast,

The hotel is very convenient to boats departing for the Aeolian Islands - a 5 minute walk to the pier.

La Chicca lies 500 meters from the beach.

Good location as it only a few minutes walk from the downtown area and waterfront.

The hotel is located in the center of Milazzo so you can walk to any location the ports, beach, shopping, reastaurants or castle.

This hotel is very close to the town centre.

La Chicca Palace is a smart, modern hotel close to the centre of town and the ferries, yet in a relatively quiet location.

It is also in a very convenient location close to bus station, ferry terminal and to the town centre.

The hotel is within walking distance of both the port and the town centre.

La Chicca is located conveniently in the center of Milazzo.

Milazzo had a surprisingly pleasant town center - not only ports and refineries as the entry into town might lead you to believe.

It is near by the sea and in the middle off the centre.

After a disappointing few days in (the gross city of) Palermo, serendipity has lead us to this great place.

Clean, Good Breakfast and Staff makes you feel very welcoming!

The room is clean, the location was great near the port bo foot and the staff were great.

Good sized rooms, very clean and friendly, helpful staff.

Also the rooms are nice and clean and the hotel are in the centrum soo it's easy for go out for walking in the evening.

Our room was very spacious with a large comfortable four poster bed, clean, quiet, with WiFi, TV and so on.

The hotel was amazing, great air conditioning, elevator, clean, good breakfast included.

The hotel itself is always clean and maintained with the utmost care.

The lobby and room were modern and spotless.

She half apologised and said she did not believe the neighbours who had complained.

Only staying one night, so I cannot say if they would move me to another room if I complained.

Some things not specific enough to complain about

the place is compact, stylishly decorated and quirky.

The owner has put thought into every aspect of her beautiful hotel: from the art adorning the walls to the bathrooms it is evident that every detail has been immaculately planned.

A lovely family run hotel with character and charm.

The hotel itself appears quite modern with an artistic stairwell and artwork in the breakfast area.

This is a refurbished traditional hotel close to the ferry terminal for  the ferries to the Aeolian Islands off Sicily.

It's was one of the best hotels i've ever been. stylish.

The decor on the corridors and public spaces is very nice and fits well into the atmoshere of the hotel.

The hotel is quite new with interesting decoration through out.

Well maintained, very good general aspect and decoration.

Junior suite room is comfortable and stylish, totally worth it to stay there and make a little surprise for yourself.

Surroundings are very nice and I had a nice time in Milazzo.

it is so refreshing to meet an owner of an establishment that cares about its guests as much as Giovanna - italian charm personified!

It starts with the outside of the building, which is painted in nice and smooth colours.

Staff is nice, nice location, and that is really it.

The view from the window was directly in to some persons living room, which is unavoidable given the central location of the hotel.

Overall, apart from the location, this hotel had very little to recommend it

Great location, walk to shops, restaurants and the beach.

The location remains excellent for town, restaurant and ferries.

The hotel is beautifully located, to the one side, a walking distance to the Port/ferries to the Islands and shopping stores and to the other side the ocean.

Location handy for the boats to the Eolian Islands, jetty some 300 meters away.

I hope that the Management will read this and react more positively than they have to some comments in the past.

We were lucky in that we had a family room with an extra bed and a beautiful large bath so were very comfortable.

The only reasonable explanation is that a holiday weekend was looming and she was angling for me to leave so she could let the room at a higher rate.

It is cheaper hotel, we ordered a room because the price was cheap and we didnt have any exprctions.

The room we had was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the street.

The rooms are great  , mine had a modern feel to it in comparison to other hotels in italy.

The rooms are gracious and very comfortable, the staff is warm, professional and polite, it has most the  comforts of a top of the line hotel at an incredible price..a great bargain, I have stayed here numerous times throughout the years and I love it!

Every time we stay at LaChicca we stay in the same room.

It is run by 2 sisters who are extremely stylish ladies themselves.

The staff is really kind and takes excellent care of the customers , in my case making a reservations not related to my stay.

Owner greets you and is friendly, genuine and helpful.

The lady owner was pleasant and clearly struggling with the Covid restrictions.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, while maintaining strict Covid protocols on distancing.

SUPER friendly and helpful staff who provided useful advice (and discounts) on parking car nearby and booking a meal.

Giovanna at reception was particularly helpful with all aspects of our stay.

The staff here were very helpful and friendly.
