I had to fold my rollator/walker in half to fit it in the elevator.

However, the elevator is small and can only carry 1 person at a time.

There is an elevator to take your suitcase to your room.

Never had to wait for one of the two elevators (2 people max).

Our room was changed without question as the first room we were given was next to the lifts and stairs nothing wrong with the room just my preference not to be close to lifts due to passed experience in other hotels, you tend to get a disturbed sleep.

2 extremely small elevators (1 person and 2 suitcases) took us quickly to our deluxe room.

Our room was a double, on the 4th floor, right next to the elevator shaft which at first, I was very concerned about, however, at the worst I could hear a very slight "hum" possibly the elevator motors, occasionally,

There are 2 lifts either end of the building, can fit 2 people with luggage.

though it was next to the lifts we never heard a thing.

although right next to the elevator, we didn’t hear a sound during the night.

We were not disturbed by the lifts at all.

The staff was wonderful, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Like others have said the bathroom and shower are small

but the room and bathroom were tiny and that seems to be a common thread among other reviews.

In that particular room the shower is for me a little small

Only downside for us was the small bathroom.

Upon entry into the room, I realised the luggage rack was too small for my suitcase

but an oddly narrow bathroom with a small shower.

A very small hotel with very small rooms & the most pathetic of all is the service & welcome you get at the reception.

But the room is a small and basic business room.

The superior double rooms are quite small though.

Though the room was rather small and there was not a proper cupboard for clothes, this was compensated for by the general atmosphere in the hotel that made us at once feel at home.

Thin walls, can hear people talking loudly in the room.

The immediate surrounding of the hotel are a bit stark with forbidding banks and blank walls

however hear the guests showering in the morning through the wall to the next room.

The only negative comment would be that the walls are thin and we were thankful to have older,quiet and early to bed neighbours.

The only drawback were the thin walls, one could hear the conversations and the people walking in the neigbouring rooms, which made sleep dependant how your neigbours were.

but very small (just like most European cities), and the window faces out to the wall and roof tiles of the adjacent building which we didn’t like but didn’t mind too much as we were outside most of the time.

As for the thin walls between rooms, they have only bothered me on one occasion when guests in the neighbouring room came home at one a.m. and (naturally) had things to chat about.

My husband and I stayed at Gran Duca di York for just one night and were charmed by its warm and picturesque ambiance, featuring Old World-inspired artwork and ceramic plates on the walls.

Only one gripe the walls of this room must have been wafer thin can hear people in other rooms quite clearly

Our only complaint would be the walls are a little thin and we had noise from surrounding rooms especially from the bathrooms either side.

The only thing which annoying me a bit is the paper thin wall.

Yellow is the theme, and all the walls will be some sort of yellow.

The art on the walls of the lobby (I was told) were relics from an old church.

There might as well not even be walls between the rooms, at least then one might understand that they provide no (seriously none) noise reduction and not make any noise before 6 am or so.

The only negative is that the walls are very thin and noises, voices and other sounds come through pretty clearly.

The supposedly quiet courtyard was noisy, breakfast disappointing, and the room,

The staff is not welcoming and the breakfast is very insufficient for the high price (lack of hot beverages, not enough seats sometimes…) The hotel is very poorly insulated and the tram noisy goes by all night long, making it very difficult to sleep.

A few individuals loitering in the vicinity of the hotel on more than one occasion, generally making noise and engaging in antisocial behaviour - it's not the hotel's fault, obviously,

Just to top it all off, the ancient tramcars roll under your window from 4 am in the morning until 2 am - the double glazing doesn’t stop much noise.

I struggled to sleep, we were on the fourth floor and there was a lot of noise outside.

though so could often hear our neighbours television.

BAD things: Aircon doesn't cope with the hot weather of these days (May 2022) and leaving a window open will be noisy, prepare for a hot night, breakfast is a bit sober and because of some groups the breakfast area was crowded and noisy, rude people in those groups as well

The room was very small and bec we have to open the window the road noise was bad.

Out of tow, noisy street and restaurants nearby are not to the standard suggested.

We kept it closed as otherwise there was too much noise coming from outside. BREAKFAST:

Rooms on the street side are noisy and sirens kept up at night.

Additionally, in the annex part of the hotel, the trams are very, very loud.

Also I think that the fact there was a building site right outside my window and they were starting working outside at 7 am making noise I should also of been made aware of this before I paid .

Our tiny room had a double bed that the staff had separated into 2 twins before we arrived.

But being a pretty basic hotel (not cheap though) you get a small room, no iron, no refrigerator or any other equipment - paper cups for your drinking water - no wine glasses of coffee cups.

I paid over £200 per night for a tiny room with no security safe or tea making equipment.

As usual rooms are small , they have removed the safe boxes , reception is very slow and boring for check in or if you need to ask for a small information , only one receptionist serving the guest and you have to wait between 10-15 minutes until the one in front of you finish first , if they are a group so you have to wait longer.

Train runs on the hour all night long, and one elevator, which both kept us awake all night.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great view and we were next to the stairs and elevator which meant that we did hear noise from other guests.

but a bit noisy when people walk the stairs or use the elevator.

Because there is a front desk in front of the elevator and they are always warmly watching over me.

There is only one elevator in the hotel which only accommodates 3 persons only.

My only suggestion is to ask for a room away from the elevator as noise does travel.

The only ''flaw'' was that the elevator is very small.

The size meant not having to wait for breakfast or the elevator.

If you want a little extra, some luxury, bigger elevator, less hot/cold water fluctuation, then you may want to look elsewhere -

The elevator is so small it barely have room for two or three people.

but in no way luxurious, and the property is generally a little pokey (the lift feels crowded even with only one person, for example).

The lift is very small, though, so can be a bit swishy arriving and leaving with luggage.
