All the staff except for the younger one was not helpful nor emphatic when we told them our bag got stolen inside the lobby.

They are also in a great location for the train station and central Milan.

The hotel location is great and close to Central Station where we got off the train and found the hotel easily.

Very useful if you're not wanting to eat in a restaurant every night.

There are many restaurants, cafes nearby the hotel as well as a small Carrefour Express supermarket about 700 metres from the hotel.

Lovely bar area with very friendly bartender who gave recommendations for a couple of restaurants.

The room was comfortable and clean and I would stay there again.

Our room was clean and comfortable; bed linens fresh; good pressure and hot water in the shower and nice Italian made toiletries.

We had two different rooms at Hotel Berna this time because we left to spend a few days in Bergamo.

It was very central, lovely staff, clean rooms with great beds and the buffet was amazing.

We were surprised that water and soft drinks were complimentary and 6pm drinks at the bar was very special.

We appreciated all the extras, including the free soft drinks and chocolate  in the room, free glass of wine each night we were there and the very nice buffet each morning.

The mini fridge in the room was kept stocked with free water and soft drinks and you could take more bottles of water and mini muffins from the reception area anytime.

Charing hotel, excellent location, easy walking to central Milan, thoughtfully provide free cold water and soft drinks, lovely air conditioned rooms which is a must at this time of year!

There was a complimentary glass of wine served on our first night and the soft drink mini bar in our room was free.

Really nice quaint hotel in the middle of the Duomo area, typical Italian hotel ie high ceilings good decor nice people running it, very good breakfast good shower, great bed , cleaner in every day clean towels etc, free soft drinks from your room fridge every day👍all in all very nice hotel.

What made this hotel outstanding was the excellent breakfast buffet and during the day a complementary offer of apples, muffins and bottled water at the reception additionally to the soft drinks in the minibar and a welcome drink.

Thin walls, can hear people talking loudly in the room.

The immediate surrounding of the hotel are a bit stark with forbidding banks and blank walls

however hear the guests showering in the morning through the wall to the next room.

The only negative comment would be that the walls are thin and we were thankful to have older,quiet and early to bed neighbours.

The only drawback were the thin walls, one could hear the conversations and the people walking in the neigbouring rooms, which made sleep dependant how your neigbours were.

but very small (just like most European cities), and the window faces out to the wall and roof tiles of the adjacent building which we didn’t like but didn’t mind too much as we were outside most of the time.

As for the thin walls between rooms, they have only bothered me on one occasion when guests in the neighbouring room came home at one a.m. and (naturally) had things to chat about.

My husband and I stayed at Gran Duca di York for just one night and were charmed by its warm and picturesque ambiance, featuring Old World-inspired artwork and ceramic plates on the walls.

Only one gripe the walls of this room must have been wafer thin can hear people in other rooms quite clearly

Our only complaint would be the walls are a little thin and we had noise from surrounding rooms especially from the bathrooms either side.

Only downside is the walls are paper thin,

The only thing which annoying me a bit is the paper thin wall.

Yellow is the theme, and all the walls will be some sort of yellow.

The art on the walls of the lobby (I was told) were relics from an old church.

There might as well not even be walls between the rooms, at least then one might understand that they provide no (seriously none) noise reduction and not make any noise before 6 am or so.

The only negative is that the walls are very thin and noises, voices and other sounds come through pretty clearly.

It is a fantastic hotel in the heart of Milan for budget travellers.

Going to Duomo have to walk or take tram that was quite cheap.

but affordable price this is ok

Classical budget hotel that is worth 3 stars.

Ibis is a good budget choice located between sights and the train station.

If a good and cheap accomodation is what you need while being close enough to the city then this is the one.

It is relatively cheap, provides a good night's sleep and is well located.

Our room was large for a budget hotel and staff were helpful.

A good location for a budget hotel if you are happy to walk approx 25 minutes into the main centre, which we were happy with.

if you are on a budget i would say this is the best property which you can stay in nearby the Milano Centrale Station.

Breakfast was quite good, especially to compare with other budget hotels in Milan where you mainly get basic things like croissants and coffee.

Around the corner in Vialle Vittorio Veneto is newish Cafe called New Caffe Italiano which does very inexpensive and delicious snacks including good coffee, tea and great beer.

A nice three star Hotel in Milan conveniently located near Metro and City Center

Ibis Milano Centro Hotel is a nice three-star hotel in Milan conveniently  located near the Central Train Station of Milan and near the Buses to the Malpensa (50Km) & Linate Airport (6Km) [(Buses just next to the Main Rail Station-Stazione Milano Centrale-(1Km from Hotel)] , about 5-6 min walk from two Metro stations, namely Republica (M3-Yellow Line) & Porta Venezia [(or Lima Station M1-Red Line)] and about half an hour on foot from the City Center (Piazza Duomo - about 2 Km) 
The Ibis Milano Centro Hotel is a nice budget hotel with relatively spacious rooms, clean, safe, modern design and very good service of personnel (polite, attentive and helpful).

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the location was convenient for exploring the city.

An outside garden area is a real treat and perfect after a day exploring Milan.

The hotel has a safe/secure facility to keep your luggage whilst you explore the area.

Room was spacious and quite and location of the hotel was great for exploring.

Would recommend for a good base to explore Milan

The location is fine for exploring in Milan and easy to get to by train.

Typical hotel pillows..Overall, if you look for convenient place to sleep and explore the country (10 minutes to train station where you can jump to Italo train and arrive to Venice or Florence in 2 hours) this is good.

but enough.Room had no view but that was totally  ok Metro station  is 5 mins walk and not that far away from main shopping street of the city -Corso Buenos Aires-.Restaurant is great for dinner and breakfast.Overall a very good base to explore Milan.

It is important for traveling by train and for exploring the city.

but nice little stopping place to refuel after a long day exploring this hotel is perfect.

For our last stop on a 7 week European adventure, we wanted a base for exploring the northern parts of Italy.

Located approx 20 mins walk from Centrale FS train station and 5 mins walk from the Repubblica metro station, it’s ideally placed for visitors wishing to explore Milan or further afield using public transport.

All in all a good example of this type of hotel and a great base for exploring the city.

The hotel is ideally suited for exploring milan with the metro a 5 min walk away and various tram stops on your doorstep .

Very clean hotel and staff were very helpful, good location for exploring Milan and 10 to 15 min walk to Milan Central station for day trips to lake Como etc.

It is in a very good area to explore Milan: at walking distance from the centre of the city and Corso Venezia and close to the Central Station,

The hotel has been very sympathetically refurbished and is well placed to explore the city.

Overall a very good base for exploring Milan.

I did not opt for the extra $$ to include a breakfast, lots of close by places to explore at better prices.

10-15 minutes' walk from Centrale station and 5 minutes from the metro, it makes a convenient base from which to explore this great city.
