The excellent maitre d' Donatello at the onsite restaurant  La Terrazza Belvedere is very attentive, polite, accommodating and made us feel so welcomed and right at home.

Had dinner at La Terrazza and it was not that good - not nearly as good as we expected.

although we tried different restaurants in the lake area, including Michelin-starred ones, we looked forward most to the dinners we had at our hotel restaurant, La Terrazza, which serves outdoors in fine weather and indoors in rain.

The hotel restaurant, Ristorante La Terrazza, is absolutely fabulous!

While the view never changes, one of the most amazing changes this trip was new Chef Luca Orini at La Terrazza Ristorante at the hotel.

We were treated to outstanding meals at the hotel restuarant La Terrazza along with impeccable service.

The service is SUPERB, the views of the water are spectacular, the entire flow of the hotel from the pool, to the outdoor lounges, to the breakfast area - everything just flows perfectly.

The pool was nice and there was a hot tub

The pool and grounds are beautifully appointed.

The heated pool a nice touch, only spoiled as usual by unruly children who think the pool is theirs for their enjoyment only .

We enjoyed the pool every day and we have all rated it the best swimming pool and view we have ever swam in through all of our extensive travels!

The views of Lake Como are stunning on the eastern slope of this unnamed peninsula that pierces the lake like an arrow, especially from the outdoor deck above the pool.

The pool was very nice with beautiful  views and excellent service. A++++

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and offers a wide variety of amenities ranging from the pool, pool bar, spa, and gym.

All the facilities you will need are at the hotel; good size outdoor pool and jacuzzi with well equipped gym and solarium.

We were especially grateful we chose a hotel with such a lovely pool (and infinity jacuzzi overlooking the Lake), as we visited during a heatwave.

Pool was lovely and location was just out of town which made it quiet at night.

They bring out complimentary light snack pool side (fruit on a skewer).

Everywhere we went, whether it was walking by the pool bar or walking past the front desk, we were greeted.

Very easy to stay here if you only speak English, service is extremely professional, staff at all levels very very friendly, pool area overlooks lake - this place is great.

Their pool is good for laps or general wading.

The food, the drinks, the room, the views  not sure I could have asked of anything more.

but just steps away, making it a prime location, quiet and convenient for popping down to shops and restaurants.

After reading reviews and overhearing people discuss the expensive restaurant we cancelled our booking there and pleased we did.

but eating, drinking, lying out, working out, going to the spa and reading.

I pampered myself in the incredible state-of-the-art spa facility, enjoyed the culinary expertise of the chef at breakfast & dinner each day & was blown away by the warmth of every single staff member.

Eat dinner there, and breakfast for two mornings.

I second the other reviews on the levels of service .. the hotel was full yet the service levels at the pool bar, restaurants, reception were outstanding .

Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day, as were lunches by the pool.

So the staff composed four takeout boxes for the two of us with a wonderful selection of breakfast foods.

We stayed half board and the food was excellent.

.and only a 5 minute walk to the heart of Bellagio bustling with restaurants, shops, cafes.

Restaurant staff was great and we enjoyed dining there.

They stored our luggage, recommended amazing restaurants in town and much much more.

The poolside bar made delicious cocktails.

The food and drinks at both the pool bar and La Terrazza were also very good and so convenient to have nearby.

The food was excellent at the two breakfasts and the single lunch and dinner we ate there.

Room 410 on fourth floor had excellent view of the lake with windows that opened.

Our room had the most beautiful views across Lake Como & a wonderful patio area (sadly due to October weather we didn’t make as much use of this as would have liked)

We had a lovely, newly renovated room with a balcony that was very large.

Room 110 was spectacular, with stunning views from the oversized balcony/terrace.

To offer several examples, the luxurious array of body washes and lotions are noteworthy, the larger trashcans without lids uncommon in most hotel rooms are much easier to navigate, the breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had, and the room service food is so good you might want to have your nightly dinners in your room.

Our room  was the bilevel suite with lake view and fit my family of four perfectly.

She personally escorted us to our room, a Junior Suite with stunning lake view.

They have a complimentary spa (though massages/services are additional, as expected)—a steam room, sauna room, and other amenities—all very clean and modern.

We had a gorgeous 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a kitchen and living room.

We liked their Spa, especially the mountain salt room and perfume showers.

The hotel and rooms were super clean and nice.

The room was comfortable, the bathroom was a large size, and the staff was really wonderful.

This is a five star hotel - truly exceptional service, breakfast buffet (high-class Italian style with meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, made-to-order breakfasts that are not like the usual high fat in the US), location & room (view of lake from public area of hotel & many rooms).

Bellagio is ‘the Pearl of Lake Como’ & Hotel Belvedere is definitely the Pearl of Lake Como with its stunning views of Lake Como from its beautiful rooms overlooking Lake Como.

The rooms having a stunning view, the pool area is comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic and relaxing all at the same time.

Its high up the mountain so even the lower rooms have great views

Quick 5-10 mins walk to all restaurants and shops

The staff is outstanding- speak great English.

7 days of paradise: our stay in Belvedere was outstanding, the view of our room was magical I really do suggest to take either these room when you book 605-606-607, they are comfort rooms with lake view, so they do have their own patios, you can spend ur time just sitting in ur patio enjoying the mesmerizing views of lake como and enjoying the peacefulness of the place, staying in Belvedere makes you forget that you are staying in the super touristic bellagio, like you are staying in a resort in a magical place in the mountains.

This has to be the by far the best hotel in Bellagio
Our comfort room is magnificent and everything is high quality, the view from the room terrace is perfect,  with full view of the lake and the little town of Pescallo
Front desk staff are very professional, cheerful and they are very eager to help.

The view from our room was spectacular, the staff friendly and the restaurant delicious and friendly (very helpful for my husband who is gluten free.

We had a room with view towards the street as that was significantly cheaper than the lake view room.

Breakfast was fantastic and lunch and dinner also amazing all home cooked and very authentic Italian, best risotto I have ever tasted, the hotel is spotless and beds are comfortable, do book a lake view room it was magical to wake up too every morning I am still missing it now!

The staff are all so helpful and friendly and the views form our room were breathtaking.

While the hotel room was a good size, it is probably worth paying the extra for a lake view room.

We had a lovely lake view room on the 4th floor.

The view from our room took our breath away, and will stay with us forever and the view from the terrace restaurant either at breakfast or dinner was amazing.

The room is very small and dominated by an enormous bed which is actually two singles pushed together so an extremely uncomfortable ridge along the centre.

Our room was a small corner suite, spoiled only by having the shower over a very narrow spa bath.

Room 106 is very small for the price I’m paying.

One small negative was that the room we had was a little small for a group of four.

The only glitch was our first night when our room was very small and literally we're tripping over the luggage to walk.

On the last day we discovered there was a library; a small room with terrace just to the left of the main hotel.

The room is very small and the bathroom is small even for my wife who has a petite figure.

The staff was incredibly attentive on day 1 and every day after and were ready to do anything to make our stay special.

T hotel staff were amazing, very helpful from the day we booked until check-out.

The staff were uniformly friendly and professional.

Service at breakfast was friendly and attentive.

We enjoyed an aperitif on the terrace in the evenings with the most incredible view, that one could never tire of.

The room was a really nice size with a lounge area both inside the room and outside on our private terrace overlooking the gorgeous lake como.

The team at the poolside terrace saw me and immediately got to action - elevate the left leg, first aid kit to start cleaning the wounds and an ice pack to bring down the swelling.

To our surprise and pleasure, there were even French doors leading out onto a private terrace from both the room and bathroom!

It has absolutely stunning views from both a juliet balcony and a terrace with room to sit and have a drink.

I used the swimming pool which was very clean and ate at the restaurant twice, and had drinks on the restaurant terrace almost every day.

Breakfast was great, lots of selection, dinner on the terrace was also very nice.

The views are breathtaking- two terraces.

Having dinner at night at the terrace is a romantic experience.

Small terrace permits open doors and a relaxed setting for looking over the low and pool.

The food is outstanding with a terrace that faces the lake.

The stand out was the dining experience in the evening. We ate on the Ferragosto holiday on the terrace, and despite a busy evening, the service was very attentive, choice of options spectacular (try the octopus!)

Donatello stands out as a highlight of the trip – he runs the entire beautiful restaurant and terrace staff with style and grace.

A fabulous sun terrace and infinity jacuzzi pool with lake views complete the tranquil feel of this complex.

The on-site dining, La Terrazza, is a pleasant surprise with stunning views of the lake.

The best part of the pool/hot tub/deck was the view of the lake and mountains.

Alice made the entire process stress-free and organized a perfect proposal under olive trees overlooking the lake, with an undercover photographer.

Wonderful view, great staff and ideally located to get shade in the rooms and a nice breeze in the afternoon.

but on the quiet side of the lake with absolutely stunning views.

The hotel has great views, the very best service and fabulous breakfast.

but although they could not see the lake they had views of the lovely gardens .

but you will be surprised by the magnificent garden in the back.

On a positive note, the lounge areas were beautiful as were the pool and garden areas.

We stayed 3 nights in a garden view room and it was beautiful
The breakfast is really great, as well as the restaurants.

but the gardens are breathtaking and so interesting to look at.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, with three pools, a garden, and a spa.

The pool and gardens in the rear of the hotel are spectacular with unbelievably breathtaking views.

The hotel had many rooms all serving different purposes from a relaxing lounge, foyer and drinks area, the amazing restaurant and downstairs trattoria, spa area (with one of the 3 pools), in the garden was the pizza restaurant, tennis courts, conservatory and gardens.

Our firm favourites have to be the most sumptuous breakfast you could imagine and the garden pool.

Enter the elegant open lobby to the scent of roses and move on to your room that will either overlook Lake Como itself or the incredible terraced garden in the back.

He had arranged our proposal in the private gardens of the hotel, overlooking the Lake and the staff could not have done any more than they did to make the evening perfect.

We stayed in a garden view room and a lake view room, both different and both absolutely stunning.

and beautiful surroundings and gardens for walks.

But the flower garden pool was so tranquil and relaxing, it was the winner for us!

They have a beautiful pool which floats on the lake, as well as a warm pool in the rear gardens.

The hotel location is brilliant, near the Villa Carlotta gardens and  3 mins’ walk from the regular ferries to Varenna and Bellagio which are only 15 mins away, or the fast ferry can take you to the town of Como at the top of the lake.

The gardens and outdoor areas are simply impeccable, never seen a better taken care property.

The property itself is just gorgeous, with gardens, pools. beautiful.

The valet, front desk, concierge, La Terrazza and Beach bar staff were exceptional.

The main restaurant La Terrazza which was supposedly gastronomic was far from it.

We had a table booked for La Terrazza restaurant for a birthday/anniversary (of which they knew),

Also cannot say enough about the food at La Terrazza.

We had the chance to try all the facilities into the hotel, from the three pools to the different restaurants (our dinner at La Terrazza Ristorante has been the cherry on the cake).

We ate at every restaurant over the course of our stay and everything was delicious, especially the creative take on ravioli at La Terrazza.

Breakfast is the best I’ve ever seen in my life and also dinner at La Terrazza was a magical experience with top notch service and a menu to die for!!

We used to eat in La Terrazza main restaurant every night when we stayed.

Breakfast is served overlooking Lake Como on La Terrazza, the appropriately named terrace restaurant, with Hermes-orange awnings and boxes of spice-scented carnations hanging off the wrought-iron balustrade.

While I was panicking my husband noticed that in his personal bag the zipper where he keeps passports and money from different countries was open and our passports had fallen out.

It was not enjoyable and a waste of money.

Will say though, that it was super expensive, we ended up paying over $2600 for 1 night with 2 rooms, which is a bit crazy

We stayed in mid September, which whilst not high season, we were still paying 800 Euros per night for a twin room.

If I had all the time and money in the world I’d check in and never check out.

I was shocked and my husband couldn’t stop laughing because I was the one paying.

It is this first impression that then resonated as a theme throughout my stay: nothing modern, lack of investment and always after your money.

Finally, be prepared to pay a lot of money here.

Another thing that really bugged me, everyone wants you to wire transfer money.

but at the price point not worth the money they charge.

paying more than 1,150 euros per night you deserve a proper King bed!!!!

not so gracious especially after spending 200 euro on the taxi.

but felt for what we were paying it was what we expected - rooms were smaller, bathrooms difficult to navigate.

(And the restaurant food was horrible - save your money if you want to eat on property and go to the Pizzeria or the T-Bar; much better food.)

It's not the money - it's the principle of it.

When you are paying a very high price we had expected (as per the website photos) that all rooms would have a separate shower.

but only 4 if value for money is properly considered.

We dined at every restaurant on the property , swam in every swimming pool , enjoyed the spa, and loved EVERY minute.

Service is first class and pools and amenities are top notch.

Here are the pros and cons from my perspective:
Pros:  truly stunning position on the lake, two gorgeous pools, good food  and one of the most elaborate and amazing breakfast buffets I have ever seen.

The service at the pool was also excellent.

The grounds are lovely, pool is fun, food is excellent, and the service is doting.

The rooms had a beautiful view of the main pool and Lake Como and the room was kept immaculate daily with GHT housekeeping.

The pool behind the hotel is jungle like with the most beautiful landscaping. Ps.

(4) 3 swimming pools including the front pool in the lake, a back pool, and a heated spa pool.

Excellent pizzas at the hotel pool (hill-side).

but T Pizza was our favorite), leveraged the concierge, booked private transits, toured the gardens, laid by the pool.

The infinity pool is as good as any I have been in.

The T-Pizza is the casual restaurant by the pool and they serve up the best pizza and Aperol Spritz!

We were able to take advantage of the spa and the infinity pool.

The colorful hotel has a fun vibe.. 2 outdoor pools, a beautiful cocktail lounge with live music, and a lake terrace for dining.

I want to add that all the staff including waiters, front desk, concierge, doormen, pool attendants etc we encountered were lovely, friendly and attentive.

Chose a room over looking the swimming pool at the back of the hotel.

The grounds are breathtaking especially the floating pool and hidden / tranquil pool.

As a result  of this poor service  we cancelled  our next booking at their Michelin  resteraunt the reception  staff didn't even ask us why !

Helpful tip: If you decide to send a van instead of a sedan and charge the customer for your poor choice… tell them.

however there is no excuse for poor food and bad service.

The live music in the bar at night was poor, it was a man singing to a backing track on a keyboard.

It has a poor view out to the backyard pool, it’s quite small and feels outdated and old.

It was the  bright spots that saved the rating to average as opposed to poor or worse.

One other quibble - wi fi service was  extremely poor.

Very poor, definitely wont go back unless it is renovated properly.
