Hotel Bellagio is a little gem tucked away up a narrow cobbled path, allowing a fabulous view of Lake Como if you book a lake facing room with a balcony.

The view from our room was spectacular and the hotel staff were helpful and friendly.

I stayed with my daughter in April, the room was a lake view room, it had 2 french doors leading to 2 balconies with the most stunning views of Lake Como, the room was stylish & scrupulously clean, bathroom is well equipped & again very clean.

We had a lake facing room with balcony which I highly recommend.

We paid a little more for a lake view room and I’d say it’s definitely a must to get the most out of this little gem of a hotel.

The main  things to know are:  1)The rooms are very small and cramped, the bathroom especially.

The room is small and lacked a fridge, which I suggest they put somewhere in the room as you need one to keep cold water in.

Although the rooms are small they arte well equipped.

The room was on the small side and the furnishings seemed a bit dated,

Unfortunately we were unable to book a room with a view, so we were in a tiny room in the back of the hotel.

My first reaction was .. "I have found my forever Home" The rooms were small we was on the 2nd floor in room 204

- Good B&B (continental style) breakfast in a lovely breakfast room with outdoor terrace area.

The icing on the cake was being able to sit on the terrace and have breakfast under the beautiful trellis with a peek of Lake Como in the background.

Breakfast was good and served in the dining room or on the charming outdoor terrace.

Breakfast is very rich and plentiful with terrace.

We were so glad we chose a room with a terrace, it was nice to sit out there with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening and enjoy the view.

Lovely staff, lovely location, delicious breakfast on beautiful terrace, even a workout room for our fitness oriented teens.

Although no restaurant or bar Hotel Du Lac is sister hotel a few minutes away, offers discount for meals in their restaurant and has a lovely lake view terrace bar which is open in evenings - weather permitting.

but the hotel does have a lovely breakfast terrace with continental style breakfast.

Cocktails on the 5th floor terrace of sister Hotel Du Lac is highly recommended, a great way to start the evening with fabulous views over the lake.

In addition to the breakfast room, they had a lovely terrace.

They also offered breakfast, which was decent and had a cute little rooftop terrace to enjoy a pasty and coffee.

Breakfast on the terrace under the vines is a real gem - overlooking the lake!

We particularly enjoyed the gym, and the fabulous breakfast on the terrace sat under the vines; again with stunning views.

Breakfast lovely and there’s a pleasant outdoor terrace under vines to sit and eat.

They also have a gorgeous outdoor bar and patio on the fourth floor with magnificent views.

The hotel has an excellent location in town, beautiful lake views, awesome rooftop bar (make a reservation) and every staff member was very kind and helpful in making suggestions for dining and exploration.

The roof top bar was outstanding with very attentive staff and a sunset view to die for.

Be sure to book a table on the roof top bar to watch the sunset.

We had a short stumble to the rooftop garden bar and the bar closes early enough to not disturb our sleep.

We had a great server at the bar who looks like Chris Pratt and he made an excellent Cosmo!

The y have a rooftop bar which I would highly recommend.

Rooftop terrace bar had the most beautiful views in all of Lake Como, best place to watch the sunset.

Location opposite the ferry terminal, good rooms overlooking the lake and the rooftop bar is a nice addition.

The view from the 7th floor bar was amazing as well.

The downstairs bar is very popular and does an excellent Aperol aperitivo.

The roof top bar for hotel guests had beautiful views and pas a perfect place for cocktails before going out to dinner.

The roof top bar was closed on the only night we were able to go.

The negatives was the quality of furnishing in the room for what is charged was very poor.

The desk staff all spoke English and even offered some informal tutoring for my poor Italian - when asked for.

but that's probably due to the poor ventilation, but overall very clean.

There were some downsides, our shower was a joke and the breakfasts were poor--better to save money and walk a few yards for a super breakfast nearby.

Breakfast is somewhat poor, it was included in our deal.

So it was heavily booked out and we ended up with a room that was very poor accommodation.

Although the hotel was in a great location at the waterfront, the condition of the room given to me (despite the nice Lake view) was poor.

Bad or poor choice of food during breakfast - again very basic and poor standard.

We stayed in a large room without a view (a little bit dated) in preference to 2 other waterfront hotels offering rooms (with views) that were in poor condition.

WiFi reception in our room was very poor and didn't work often.

The staff and service were average - not great not poor

but maid service is poor and the AC does not work like in most of Italy.

Take no notice of any poor  reviews you have already read.

The cons are slightly tired furnishings and a poor shower option (hand held only).

The location is perfection- central, walk left or right to shops and restaurants.

The easy access to the ferry, restaurants and shopping added to the experience.

The staff on the restaurant outside were all very nice and attentive to our needs.

They made several suggestions on sights to visit and restaurants to dine at that made our stay in Bellagio perfecto!

Cocktails on the rooftop terrace as the sun set was memorable whilst breakfast overlooking the Lake was always a pleasure.

We love the situation if the hotel, very near the ferry and in the centre of Bellagio’s many shops , cafes, restaurants etc 
On this visit we used the one hour free session of the new, beautiful spa and highly recommend it.

The front desk will also make reservations at other local restaurants.

We ate lunch a lot at the hotel restaurant and each meal was memorable.

You arranged transportation into Como, made meal and gelato recommendations- Thank you!

The restaurants in Bellagio are so good, I wish we had more time there just for eating :) We went to Barchetta twice - once for lunch for pizza outside and once for dinner upstairs - both were great!

Really enjoyed cocktails on the terrace every night-make a reservation in advance.

The restaurant food at lunch as well as the evening was also good.

The downstairs restaurant was great for lunch.

Breakfast buffet at the hotel was darling with a beautiful cafe and patio to enjoy the lake views.

However, the other cocktails were excellent.

A warm welcome at the reception, very well furnished guest rooms, comfortable mattress, brand new furniture, fine quality toiletries, a well laid out breakfast with lots of options to choose from.

The room was perfect for us 3, (my wife and 13 year old).

Added to that, champagne in the room to celebrate a ‘big’ birthday was a really lovely thing to receive.

Only downside was very loud from Reception area at night and a slow elevator.

It was extremely slow and at times it was quicker to take the stairs.

My only one small complaint is that the internet was too slow.

We didn't have a balcony, which would have been nice, and the small lift is very slow.

Be warned – the lift is slow and small and only remembers one floor destination at a time.

The free to guests computer came was 20th,not 21st century and was so slow as to be useless-luckily the helpful owner/manager and reception staff used theirs to check in for our flight home.

but is very slow or doesn't work sometimes.

although there is free wifi in the room it was extremely slow and it kept disconnecting from wifi.

but on our level there were several small flights of stairs to negotiate from the elevator (which is tiny and slow) and our room.

As the whole town works on a very slow one way traffic loop, there's no problems with car noise along the front like you find in some of the lake towns.

Service at hotel and its linked restaurant is very friendly (if sometimes a little slow).

but slow and often rude service at the front desk.

We needed to show our hotel booking details to get a ticket  for access, and after a slow drive down the narrow, crowded main street, were fortunate in being able to find a parking space in front of the hotel which was ours until the morning for 3 Euros; otherwise its pull over, dump you bags and passengers in reception and park the car wherever you can.

Our room had a very small balcony with a 'peekaboo' view of the lake.

Beware that some of the rooms are very small (not unusual for Europe) and we changed our room part way through our stay to get a larger room.

The room was small, basic, clean and had a bit of charm.

We stayed in room 45 which was luxury after 3 weeks of tiny room travels.

But that was it Absolutely awful ongoing noise from the clanking ferry.

The only other issue was since our room overlooked the walking area where there are shops, it could be a little noisy.

Only downside was the noise from the ferry,

although we didn't need this & never had put them on the floor for renewal.There is a music bar to the right of hotel which doesn't finish until midnight which may impact on some guests although sound proofing is pretty good.

Wasn’t overly crowded while there so noise from waterfront didn’t come up to room.

We couldn't really enjoy the view not only because of the noise

The only down side was the relentless noise from late night music events nearby.On the Saturday night this went on till 4am.

Due to the position of the ferry boat stations it can at times be a bit noisy,

We were allowed to park in the limited traffic zone because we were staying there.

The noise was not her fault and there would be no refund.

This does mean it can be a bit noisy if you have the windows open in a lake view hotel room, as the ferries come & go all the time.

But then the rest of Bellagio does not awake before 1100 so not many other options

There may be some outside noise in the evening if you are sensitive to that,

Although it did not affect me, the noise from the ground floor tends to carry on to the first floor room and may be an issue for some.

but if you had the doors open was noisy as next to car ferry.

It's on the lake between the ferries, so, sure, there was boat noise

They can help you with any issues, also help you booking restaurants.

I would definitely stay here again to enjoy our terrace - first look in the morning, wine before venturing out for dinner and one last time before retiring.

While the terrace restaurant was lovely, right by the lake, and the service was also good, I have to say the pizza (and the rest of our snacks) were the worst we had the entire trip.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, the breakfast and coffee is excellent, the staff is very nice, and their restaurant is decent, the cocktails are excellent (a special shout out to the Bartender Leonardo from Colombia).

I ordered the prosciutto pizza and it was actually like deli ham with the blanket cheese possible.

You are able to dine in or outside the restaurant.

For mains we all had the Metropole Salad.

For example, we had planned a light lunch at the hotel restaurant that day we were leaving.

Restaurants and bars are very close, with more up the narrow street to the centre.

We did stop here for lunch at lovely lakeside cafe.
