but 10/15 mins walk to the pretty harbour with some lovely bars and restaurants if you want a change.

We did find a few drinks we liked, and the bar men were good on the whole.

Pool bar was housed in a shed where the attendant sat smoking, the use of glass rather than plastic drinking receptacles was common.

It was an open bar- if you could get to it.

The bar staff worked hard to fulfil the never ending number of drinks orders.

The salad bar was great, rest of the the was ok, plentiful and fresh.

The staff here are great, special thanks to Dorian, Tamara, Dario and Joseph and Jovan who work tirelessly in the bar and restaurant areas and always have a smile and will help you learn some useful Croation.

However, one of the bar staff was happy to make me a latte himself when I was stuck behind somebody for a particularly long time!

Would strongly recommend a walk to the old town and Blue the cocktail bar.

Medulin has a pretty little harbour and some bars and restaurants, was lovely to have a cocktail there at night.

Pool bar and main bar were available for the drinkers.

We really enjoyed this holiday and loved the nearby beach and bars.

Worth paying a bit more for the partial beach view in our opinion.

The outdoor pool terrace and sunbathing areas were good although could have been a little cleaner, the local beach was only a short walk away

The beach is not far from the hotel, then in another few minutes you're at the harbour.

The beach is not sandy it is basically slimey flat stones.when you go in the water.

Pula and Rovinj are definitely worth a visit and Medulin Harbour in the evenings has a lovely vibe.

The hotel is close to other restaurants if you wish to dine out, beach is a two minute walk away.

Beach closest to resort is pebbly- BUT- walk to the right for five minutes and you get the sandy beach!

There is a harbour 5 mins away with restaurants if you want.

Great bonus to be able to get beach towels everyday  for use on the sun beds.

Location - location is brilliant, right on the sea front and easy transport links to Pula, the port for Venice and many trips.

5 minute walk to beach and around 15 minutes walk to the harbour/marina.

The Staff - We had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager Maja at the BBQ, who was very friendly and personable.

The staff were all fabulous, as were the Croatians in general and were all friendly and helpful.

All the staff were so friendly ans helpful they couldn't do enough for you.The food was excellent with plenty of choice, i didn't get to the  al a carte as it was booked you have to book 24 hours before.

The food is some of the best we have had for an all inclusive buffet style.

We weren’t blown away by the food, some themes were good, others were average, that said, we didn’t starve.

The food was the best we'd ever had at an AI, particularly the meat was always tender and tasty, the Beef Wellington was cooked to pink perfection.

Farm lunch was a definite highlight and I’m thrilled we got to experience it (even with allergies)

Plenty of choice of cocktails, wines etc.

Dinner is wrapped up in the restaurant waiting for you, very thankful for that!

Rooms are on the small size with limited storage space

Be careful of hurting your shins on the corners of the bottom of the bed - because the room is so small you end up squeezing between the bottom of the bed and the dressing table and the corners of the bed are exposed and very sharp.

We had a room on the first floor that overlooked the gardens to the side of the hotel,  the rooms are small

but the room was quite small and it got very noisy.

Rooms are on the small side especially if staying for 2 weeks no drawers just two wardrobes with 6 hangers can request more though!

The rooms are very small and travelling with one of the girls getting ready each night became a well mastered synchronized event.

Because the room was quite small we asked for an upgrade to a slightly bigger one.

As people have said before, the rooms are on the small side and I took extra hangers which I left behind for others to use.

but VERY short of storage space and we are not  heavy packers.

My only quibble was not much storage or hangers,

Storage space is minimal, 10 hangers between two wardrobes, one drawer and two bedside cabinets.

Only issue we had was the lack of storage, only 2 small wardrobes and one very small draw

Rooms might be classed as being a tad small with not a great deal of storage, we were there for 2 weeks so did struggle for space

Despite a Covid outbreak in the hotel ,  which was managed brilliantly by the hotel management , I would recommend this hotel to anyone 

My reason for giving a 4 rating is easy , the pool is absolutely freezing, storage space in the room is not enough and finally glasses can be left on tables for hours !

However rooms could do with some more storage space.

As has been commented by others, the storage space is a little compact

I would question the reliance for communication through the TUI Blue app when you are at the hotel, yes a lot of people do have smart phones and are tech savvy

So 5 stars for the staff, including the waiting staff and cleaners, whose name we didn't know

The staff go out of their way to help where and when they can, always smiling and chatting with us and others.

but had i rang reception i could of had more.

This is our 4th time here and just as amazing, some of the staff have retired due to covid

First and foremost ,all the staff both kitchen, house and others were great.

Her enthusiasm is contagious and we enjoyed all of her aqua aerobics sessions.

We arrived just beforehand 1200, check in was handed very well, due to the number of new arrivals, rather than hang around in the reception area everyone is taken to the library, given a drink and have a brief welcome talk from the Guide.

All the staff seem to enjoy working there, they are all pleasant and happy to help or serve, they all work incredibly hard.

so missed out on all the informative stuff.

Aquarium was great, well worth a visit, we went in the early evening when it was cooler and quieter, great views from the roof

We also visited the aquarium on the resort which was good and visited Brijuni National Park.

There was a surprisingly interesting aquarium in the historic old fort, which was with a visit.The sea was beautiful and clear,

There is a beautiful Aquarium on the premises and we spent a good 2 hours in there.

The old fort with Aquarium boasts sharks, crocodiles and a turtle rescue centre; as well as loads of other sea life and the Old Fort Setting with its tunnels and cave like walkways makes the visit by far the best I’v ever visited.

You can walk to the aquarium from the beach which is in a fort so worth a visit.

Two tips for the local area - the aquarium is definitely worth visiting and the views at ‘Pirate Canyon’ are fantastic (just walk clockwise for 10 mins round the coastal road from the hotel).

There is a laundry mat, lots of little boutique shops and restaurants and if you take the bus outside the hotel it takes you into Pula for a very reasonable 11 kuna to see the authentic side of Croatia (worth it) or you can walk to the Aquarium (worth it also).

We went to the aquarium one day too which is basically 5 minuted walk, that was good and passed a couple of hours.

It did rain on one day all day so we went to the Aquarium.

We enjoyed a few days chilling by the pool, visited the on site Aquarium which was brilliant!

Aquarium nearby was also fun in the fort!

The resort is right by the sea, it has plenty of walks to explore and an aquarium.

The complex has a wonderful aquarium which rehabilitates turtles, so worth a visit.

There is a nice aquarium, plenty of sports, bars and restaurants.

The aquarium is a 10 minute walk or maybe less from the hotel.

Beach, snorkeling, yachting, water sports, water slide, water trampolines, kids club, aqua aerobics, yoga, restaurants, champagne bar, shops, supermarket, aquarium etc.

i took my youngest son to the aquarium in the short rain storm which is a handy place  to have within ten min walk.my kids are aged 15 and 11 and had lots to do

There is also a pleasant aquarium in the grounds as well as the sports facilities and beach you may have read more about.

The Aquarium was definitely worth a visit, we didn't expect it to be so close by and it exceeded our expectations with so many things to see.

Pictures and reviews all seem of a great standard when researching this complex, you take the few comments with a pinch of salt

A massive complex with lots of restaurants and a couple of bars.

This Complex is spread out in a forested area by the sea, an outstanding area of beauty.

There’s a bus stop just outside the complex.

Very large complex with 4 hotels and numerous apartments.

We used five of the restaurants on and around the complex and they were all very good, the Yacht restaurant was our favourite, serving fabulous food in lovely surroundings.

Over all the complex was nice with lots of facilities and the city of Pula just a short bus ride away.

Park Plaza is on a complex of hotels and apartments and I stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment with my Sister and her partner in September.

I showered in my flip flops (dramatic or not this bathroom made me feel it was necessary) 
The complex was lovely

There needs to be clear instructions sent out about what to do and where to go when you arrive, it's a HUGE complex with several hotels plus the pine forest with the apartment blocks.

Lots to do on the complex from spa days, using the gym or just relaxing by the beach or pools.

Walk round the peninsula to find the beach bars - there is one before you enter the complex on the roundabout.

ALL the staff were lovely, good English spoken throughout this large complex.

but its all very impressive and the standards are high

it was positive, i would recommend it but be aware, its a complex.

The complex is massive, with multiple hotels within the grounds & a small street of shops.

Other than that, overall a nice complex with lots going for it, just bear in mind the hidden charges.

although the hotel complex had the pretence of being decent it has had better days and needs a refurb .

but it’s part of a wider Park Plaza complex where you can use the facilities of the neighbouring hotel (within the same complex) which does.

We didn't actually stay at the hotel, we stayed b&b in the apartments on the same complex

This is a large complex on Punta Verudela which caters for all travelers from couples to family groups.

It also seemes like the cleaining staff is a bit overworked, or just not very good, because a cardboard cutout was left in out card insert place (the one needed for the lights to work) one day.

If the public want to use it, it should be charged as they’re not hotel guests.

There is no access control by card to the building where the accomodations are situated (at Kamelia 8 appartments/building).

but it was a simple 15 min wait to get into the pool and secure a bed ( no charge) .

I had read in other reviews that these are charged for at a daily rate

This would be a 5 star review if it were not for the charge.

Yes they charge for sun beds & parasols which is a bit annoying

The best rates we got was on Revolut visa card.. the only negative is the extra charges for slide and sun loungers.

but we did go in the afternoon and there was no charge.

I only marked as four stars, rather than five, as charging for sun beds is something I have never encountered before and

but just be aware of all the extra charges when you are there.

Your Hotel bar charging children £5 for a slush is wrong.

(You queue up about 845 to put your towels down and then they come and charge you 20kuna per bed later in day.)

I urge you to check your sleeping arrangements before you book - as it is so cheeky that they charge guests for a bed.

but they charge 50 or 60 kuna per day for it and they close it around 5 pm. Unbelievable.

Yes, there is a 20 Kn charge per sunbed/parasol, you have to bring your towels from home, and you have to be there by 9 to get a bed.

In the end they wanted to charge in excess of Euro 600 for a one week room upgrade.

Only grumble was the additional cost for sun loungers which were started being charged for once it hit the 1st June.

Loved chilling by pool and understand why they charge for sun beds( only £2.50 for the day) WE will most certainly be making a trip back next year!

No problem with charging for sun beds if this stops people fighting over them

Staff at reception was super cool and friendly, they even upgraded my room towards the sea view and allowed early checkin.

Overall, we had a lovely holiday.

Amazing family holiday, we enjoyed every aspect of it.

We returned on Saturday from a fantastic holiday in Puna staying at the Park Plaza Verudela.

Our second holiday with our soon to be one year old daughter.
