And it was true - friendly and helpful staff, clean place, fab food, beach and sea 👍🏻, animation for kids, daily sport schedules for active guests - just perfect!

Location close to the beach and Medulin city centre.

The Park Plaza Belvedere is near these landmarks: Banjole Beach, Valle dIstria/Bale, Medieval Theme Park Sanc.

There is also good access to the beach and sea.

The hotel has several pools, a private beach (at a rate if i recall), a hair salon, bars, exchange rate office and so on.

Pool area is nice and close to the beach.

We were visit Pula town is very close and recommend to visit Premantura beaches, Kamenjak national park.

We will definitely return next year :)

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, have tried the wonderful kayak tour (3 hours) with Ivan to the Ceja island and the amazong bike tour (35km) to discover the Premantura beautiful natures and beaches with Dario, absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.

Breakfast was unsurprisingly poor, no fresh juice, terrible coffee and being vegetarian, I discovered bacon dropped into the roasted vegetable dish and the staff using serving spoons across all the dishes.

But all other options were poor - and VERY salty!

The breakfast is especially poor, the coffee is not very nice and there is a very limited selection of fresh fruit.

but by day 5 we were close to saying we would eat out the food was getting so poor and unimaginatively repetitive.

Orange juice is of poor quality and would be nice to have milk jugs and tea pots for the table.

The evening entertainment is largely poor with a singer or small group providing music both in and outside.

The first two evening meals were very poor -  food was cold and I found lacking in choice.

no barrier or any means of stopping yourself from falling down and beyond that a car park hardly the  balcony park view we had booked  the poor fitting skirting board and the poorly fitted joints to the décor and the dust covered skirting board ( I cleaned some to show)made for a lousy experience ,children or elderly persons would have been in serious trouble if they had fallen in especially after the rain we had

but that was ok for us. food is great (try the pizza in the restaurant!)

All other people (waiters, ladies of the wellness area, barman, everybody that work in the hotel) are always available to answer to your questions or to solve your problems

The room is too small for family of 4 and costs more than 320EURO.

The rooms are quite small, especially not wide enough.

.but NOT. The room is very small (we got the standard room), even my 3 year old kid noticed that the first time we got in the room: "Oh daddy, the room is so small!"

We had decided to upgrade to a bigger room as some of the reviews said rooms can be a little on the small side,

it should be a duty of the hotel to remove towels from chairs if they are not used for 1 or 2 hours.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, the only con was the lack of cleanliness, which is expected by such a hotel; both my parents and their friends complained about it and said rooms often were not done by 4pm, towels missing and so on.

This hotel was heaving with people when we arrived and people were laying on towels everywhere 'literally' we was seriously thinking we had made a bad choice

though let down by broken umbrellas and small pool towels.

Sometimes  when we went to return towels , their wasn't anyone to return them  to , so had to help ourselves to cards .

however nearly impossible to get sun loungers as people put towels down early then disappear all day.

but the rest of the room was set for 2 people, classes, mugs, towels etc.

but I accept that I saw a number of guests wandering around looking for somewhere to sit when many beds lay empty with towels holding them for absent guests.

I would say at least a quarter of beds were 'reserved' with towels and not used all day.

Some people put towels down and don’t use them for hours.

People have towels out from 6/7am and don't even use their beds.

Only one incident of having a towel removed by a family wanting to have 5 together (and claiming innocence on how one of our hotel towel had been dumped on the other sunbed)

The majority of beds remained vacant all day, reserved only by a towel!

Pool area - doesn’t seem enough sun beds for the amount of ppl - lot of ppl lying on the grass with their towels.

Apparently you’re not allowed to put towels on beds to save

Wish the hotel would remove any towels from the sun loungers put on pre-breakfast as it was annoying!

Be observant that the "sea side" doesn't mean that you will have sea view if you choose family room (attached picture from the room terrace).

Definitely recommended to book one with sea view.

Highly recommend this hotel, nice and professional staff, great amenities, great view and location.

We recommend the see view rooms, especially in the 5th or 6th floor.

You are on the beachfront which is a positive and close to

Our room had very stained carpets and limited space for clothes which spoilt an otherwise great room overlooking pools and sea , everything else is great.

Entertainment provided by the hotel was better and cheaper than similar trips offered by the travel company and if your into cycling go on a mountain bike trip with Dario a great way of seeing parts of istria that you might not otherwise see.

We also visited the aquarium on the resort which was good and visited Brijuni National Park.

There was a surprisingly interesting aquarium in the historic old fort, which was with a visit.The sea was beautiful and clear,

There is a beautiful Aquarium on the premises and we spent a good 2 hours in there.

The old fort with Aquarium boasts sharks, crocodiles and a turtle rescue centre; as well as loads of other sea life and the Old Fort Setting with its tunnels and cave like walkways makes the visit by far the best I’v ever visited.

You can walk to the aquarium from the beach which is in a fort so worth a visit.

Two tips for the local area - the aquarium is definitely worth visiting and the views at ‘Pirate Canyon’ are fantastic (just walk clockwise for 10 mins round the coastal road from the hotel).

There is a laundry mat, lots of little boutique shops and restaurants and if you take the bus outside the hotel it takes you into Pula for a very reasonable 11 kuna to see the authentic side of Croatia (worth it) or you can walk to the Aquarium (worth it also).

We went to the aquarium one day too which is basically 5 minuted walk, that was good and passed a couple of hours.

It did rain on one day all day so we went to the Aquarium.

We enjoyed a few days chilling by the pool, visited the on site Aquarium which was brilliant!

Aquarium nearby was also fun in the fort!

The resort is right by the sea, it has plenty of walks to explore and an aquarium.

The complex has a wonderful aquarium which rehabilitates turtles, so worth a visit.

There is a nice aquarium, plenty of sports, bars and restaurants.

The aquarium is a 10 minute walk or maybe less from the hotel.

Beach, snorkeling, yachting, water sports, water slide, water trampolines, kids club, aqua aerobics, yoga, restaurants, champagne bar, shops, supermarket, aquarium etc.

i took my youngest son to the aquarium in the short rain storm which is a handy place  to have within ten min walk.my kids are aged 15 and 11 and had lots to do

There is also a pleasant aquarium in the grounds as well as the sports facilities and beach you may have read more about.

The Aquarium was definitely worth a visit, we didn't expect it to be so close by and it exceeded our expectations with so many things to see.

We booked breakfast, and the breakfast was good, a lot to chose from and fresh.

We were half board and enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning after swimming a mile each day in the pool.

We opted for self catering and breakfast in the dining room.The breakfast had everything you could think of lovely selection of fruit and croissants loads of sweet options and everything such high quality.I Think I overindulged every day!

The food was delicious at both breakfast and for our evening meals.

We enjoyed food at breakfast, and the kidsclub was nice.

We then went for lunch by the pool which again was spotlessly clean, the food was amazing and the service was outstanding-this was repeated throughout our stay in both of the restaurants we used (Park Plaza Histria is where we enjoyed a full buffet breakfast, dinner which was served to us by the team as part of the hotels Covid procedures.

Food, buffet style was excellent with plenty of variety.

..We had booked B&B, the restaurant that served breakfast was very efficient and organised, there was a good choice of hot and cold food, fruit, breads and pastries, juices, tea and coffee, this was all self serve.

Every meal she would outline what was suitable for vegans and by the end of the holiday we were being presented with a menu at breakfast for that evening.

At breakfast there was gluten free bread and cornflakes.

We also used the breakfast buffet which was around £8 per person and well worth it.

Delicious array of deserts and fresh fruit.

There was a street food night during our stay "Hook & Cook" funky dance music and delicious food.

We ate in the restaurants on the site quite a few nights and they were all delicious in particular Kuglana where the service and food was impeccable.

I thought the breakfast and dinner was fine.

Pictures and reviews all seem of a great standard when researching this complex, you take the few comments with a pinch of salt

A massive complex with lots of restaurants and a couple of bars.

This Complex is spread out in a forested area by the sea, an outstanding area of beauty.

There’s a bus stop just outside the complex.

Very large complex with 4 hotels and numerous apartments.

We used five of the restaurants on and around the complex and they were all very good, the Yacht restaurant was our favourite, serving fabulous food in lovely surroundings.

Over all the complex was nice with lots of facilities and the city of Pula just a short bus ride away.

Park Plaza is on a complex of hotels and apartments and I stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment with my Sister and her partner in September.

I showered in my flip flops (dramatic or not this bathroom made me feel it was necessary)

There needs to be clear instructions sent out about what to do and where to go when you arrive, it's a HUGE complex with several hotels plus the pine forest with the apartment blocks.

Lots to do on the complex from spa days, using the gym or just relaxing by the beach or pools.

Walk round the peninsula to find the beach bars - there is one before you enter the complex on the roundabout.

ALL the staff were lovely, good English spoken throughout this large complex.

it was positive, i would recommend it but be aware, its a complex.

The complex is massive, with multiple hotels within the grounds & a small street of shops.

Other than that, overall a nice complex with lots going for it, just bear in mind the hidden charges.

although the hotel complex had the pretence of being decent it has had better days and needs a refurb .

but it’s part of a wider Park Plaza complex where you can use the facilities of the neighbouring hotel (within the same complex) which does.

We didn't actually stay at the hotel, we stayed b&b in the apartments on the same complex

This is a large complex on Punta Verudela which caters for all travelers from couples to family groups.

It also seemes like the cleaining staff is a bit overworked, or just not very good, because a cardboard cutout was left in out card insert place (the one needed for the lights to work) one day.

If the public want to use it, it should be charged as they’re not hotel guests.

There is no access control by card to the building where the accomodations are situated (at Kamelia 8 appartments/building).

but it was a simple 15 min wait to get into the pool and secure a bed ( no charge) .

This would be a 5 star review if it were not for the charge.

Yes they charge for sun beds & parasols which is a bit annoying

The best rates we got was on Revolut visa card.. the only negative is the extra charges for slide and sun loungers.

but we did go in the afternoon and there was no charge.

I only marked as four stars, rather than five, as charging for sun beds is something I have never encountered before and

but just be aware of all the extra charges when you are there.

Your Hotel bar charging children £5 for a slush is wrong.

(You queue up about 845 to put your towels down and then they come and charge you 20kuna per bed later in day.)

I urge you to check your sleeping arrangements before you book - as it is so cheeky that they charge guests for a bed.

but they charge 50 or 60 kuna per day for it and they close it around 5 pm. Unbelievable.

Yes, there is a 20 Kn charge per sunbed/parasol, you have to bring your towels from home, and you have to be there by 9 to get a bed.

In the end they wanted to charge in excess of Euro 600 for a one week room upgrade.

Only grumble was the additional cost for sun loungers which were started being charged for once it hit the 1st June.

Loved chilling by pool and understand why they charge for sun beds( only £2.50 for the day) WE will most certainly be making a trip back next year!

No problem with charging for sun beds if this stops people fighting over them

If you want to have a few drinks throughout the day and go out for dinner, expect to be spending around €100 a day minimum

Overall, we had a lovely holiday.

Room standard really good and the best quality bed linen ever had in holiday hotel.

It was our first vacation with our new baby and we found everything we needed.

I’ve just returned from a 7 day holiday in Verudella Pula, it’s my first time in Croatia, and I loved it.

Amazing family holiday, we enjoyed every aspect of it.

We returned on Saturday from a fantastic holiday in Puna staying at the Park Plaza Verudela.

Our second holiday with our soon to be one year old daughter.

(When booking holidays you tend to look at a number of hotels so a lot of info to take in, when it says sofa bed you see that as an extra.

There we went on a cruise tour which was the highlight of our holiday.

We wouldn’t hesitate to return to the resort for a holiday for either  ourselves as a couple again or back with the family!

I always try to give consideration to what we’ve paid when reviewing holiday locations.

Overall we had a great holiday and I would definitely come here again and maybe try out park Plaza Histria which looked more luxurious.

We had an absolutely fantastic family holiday - great weather, great people and lovely setting.
