Tens of people talking to receptionists and hotel's staff and very busy lobby so access to elevators, and using them, is a bit challenging.

One if the best hotel I’ve stayed in Makkah the disabled room was awesome it had a Kabbah view from my bedroom window room 1836 and the disabled bathroom for me personally was great, Only small issues I had there was no bathroom in the ground/ reception floor area, Had to go to the basement or my bedroom to use the bathroom at the hotel and waiting for the lift can be annoying at busy time!

The The concergie staff didnt answer the phone for 2-3 days, i kept calling to book a taxi for pickup from the Harmain train statiuon to the hotel Reason - they were too busy checking in and checking out guest, no time to answer the phone.

Its nice and advised for short trip, busy elevators, a little expensive

We didn’t have any issues with the lifts- tbh they were busy

Lifts are very much busy and we had to wait for it.

I spoke to him (Abdul.W/K) and he basically said the hotel is very busy as it's Friday.

but still lifts are busy during pray time.

Human touch to service is missing being busy operations

Lifts are very busy before and after praying times specially that our visit was during a school break with a lot of visitors.

Lifts/Elevators - in busy periods it can take a while to come down, and for some reason some elevators were being serviced during the day - better planning here could make things even better.

but again could be bad during busy periods

However at busy time they only had 3 of the 12 lifts operating causing congestion and delaying people for up to half an hour.on the first night we needed to call the plumber to adjust the water as both taps were giving very hot water.

Consequently, a lot of time was wasted just waiting for elevators.2) The standard triple rooms could be more spacious.3) One star is lost during Hajj season:We also stayed at the very same hotel during busy Hajj season of 2017.Some of the staff was less friendly &service minded, and the extra beds were not so comfortable.

We then proceeded to the reception to check in which seemed very busy with guests and staff.

We stayed a few nights during the Hajj season so it was busy and we room shared for 4 of us.

Just one thing, on Thursday and Friday it is mega busy and to get on the lift there is 10-15 mind wait.

An outstanding stay, extremely professional and friendly staff, excellent handling of gusyes despite the fully booked hotel.

Hamza at the breakfast checkpoint  is very friendly, he greeted us and told us where to find what.

Also, breakfast is another clear example of Souq Okaz approach where it's hard to get a clean table and the service staff are overloaded with work so not that friendly. .

but the bathroom in particular looked old but they cleaned very well.I had like to thankyou supervisor shanu Jabbar and room clean guy Yusuf for their friendly attitude and smiley faces

From the start disapointing I arrived at 315pm went to Accor priority desk met with a friendly lady named Elaf after speaking and as a gold member asking for an upgrade was declined as they were very busy because of busy season (Ramadahn) that understood.

My stay was made comfortable by Sara in the concierge department who was super friendly, knowledgeable and is an asset to the hotel!

Friendly and helpful staff made the experience memorable.

It has connection hallway through the mall and right to the front of Masjidil Haram, at the King Abdul Azis Door.

but instead of city view, we got wall of other hotel, room had everything what we require.shopping mall had food court.

Every thing is around, because the hotel is in the middle of the market/ mall.

The hotel has 2 exits, one to the Mall with just few steps in the Mall to gate 86 and women’s gate.

Convenient food and shopping options close to hotel and in the mall in the Clock Tower location.

but as u walk through the mall you don’t realise the walk.

The location of the hotel is fantastic with exit either through the mall or through ajyad street.

super easy to get to the main masjid, mall was below us and a food court upstairs.

Very good location ( very easy access to kaaba and very easy access to the shopping mall) excellent hotel service (fast and very polite ).

I would like to particularly mention Sultan at the reception for his outstanding help and Nahla at the concierge for her excellent and professional attitude as well as her talent in painting.

Staff is so welcoming and helpful notably Mr. Shakeer is very hospitable and have an amazing personality who ensure to meet your expectations in a decent way.

Am very happy for my umrah stay in the Swissotel Makkah I was so excited and I feel like am at home with so respect and easy to be help with their staff and the hotel is very clean and so respectful and relaxed .

Housekeeping was good and efficient and rooms are very clean and cozy.

It was a wonderful place to stay at, location was good, cleanliness great, restaurant staff very professional, morning buffet exceptional,  can not complain, all good, Mr. ASHRAF at the restaurant, excellent personality, dedicated, makes you feel like a family member.

but people didn’t..

People still great, management team, front office and daily connection with house keeping team (Anis the shift leader and Tarik Islam) both are really super great ..

Even when you press 0 for customer service, they hardly answer!

Your staff at the reception takes approximately 20-25 min to check-in one guest. 2.

Nadeem from concierge and Saleem from breakfast area gave great service.

A manager named Abdulwahab was outstanding in responding to the needs of guests.

I went to speak to the hotel deputy manager on Tuesday 10bmay, his name is musab.

They now have a fresh egg/omlate station and a fresh pancake station.

The breakfast was quite good with a wide variety of selection of dishes including live stations and healthy options.

Breakfast was Ok, no omelette station, instead they served omelette in the buffet option.

but like me, if you're a British Pakistani, you won't be best pleased with the bland offerings, and the fact there is no egg station is a disappointment.

As a solo traveler, the value for money (among all the clock tower hotels) this one seemed the best.

My family and I (3 people) plus our travel group (60 others) stayed at Swissotel Makkah for 5 days during February for Umrah.

I had informed him that we had a very hectic travel and wanted to have rest before going for Umrah.

We would like to extend our deep gratitude to the Duty Manager at reception, Zyad Alhfaf, who helped our Taqwa Travels group immensely during check in and likewise sister Samah from the breakfast staff,who was very quick to help.

The front desk can't find my booking and my special requirements being a family travel together.

I would recommend to everybody, esp those traveling with families, they are great with kids here.

We booked for 2 nights stay for Umrah , somehow the travel agent booked us for iftar.

We have planned our First Haj next year and will be requesting my Travel Agent not to book us into this Hotel

Location is extremely comfortable to pray at Almasjid Alharam .

Our room had 3 separate beds, a fridge to store food and a kettle to boil hot water for tea.

On other hand, the bathrooms have stains in its building blocks, cold water was not working until we got plumber, toilet handle not functioning well, lights are unstable and power outlets didn’t work.

If we needed milk warming for our baby we had put the bottle of milk in a glass of boiling water it was really difficult.

Cold tap sometimes only puts out hot water making it difficult to make ablution.

The water in the bathroom was boiling, we have to call them to fix it.

We have  issue with the bathroom, where the water is always hot even the cold tap, every morning i have to call to fix this, and the technician is fixing our bathroom every day and leaves his boots trails all over my bathroom.

The negative things iv got to say is communicating with reception staff very difficult for a 5 star hotel you need staff to speak fluent English for example I asked for a bottle of water when i rang the customer service they sent out an engineer to repair my water pipe in the toilet,
The breakfast menu was basic to me.

Also when asking for water theu only give two small bottles.. 

Breakfast is included in our package..

They claimed it was water as they just finished cleaning the carpet (weird that they only cleaned one patch) and not to worry about ihram.

It took me a few days to master the shower which, every time when switched on  the water hit me straight in the face!!

Some days the cold water tap gave out hot water too.

The only issue was that we did not have hot water in the bathroom.

The hotel itself cannot be faulted - clean, hygienic, great customer service geared towards the international community, friendly staff such as Ibtihal at guest relations and also the food manager on floor 1 who always greeted us with a smile!

The hotel has a very good access to the Grand Mosque and the mall.

Easy access to haram direct from the hotel and from the Abraj mall.

Perfect location; very near to Haram, about 5 minutes to Kaaba, which is a major plus with direct access to the 24hr mall.

Direct access to the mall which is open 24hrs.

Location is inside the mall, so quite convinient for shopping(pharmacy, super market and restaurants).

Walk & access from outside the mall makes it more convenient.

You can walk to the mall from within the hotel as well as they are all connected.

The breakfast buffet was average and wasn’t to our liking so we ate breakfast at food outlets in the nearby Mall.

 the hotel provides direct access to the shopping mall within Abraj Al Bait complex.

Also, there are two malls which have a lot of stores, restaurants, pharmacies.. etc.

Also, the location with access to clock mall and to Haram was very useful.

It’s attached to a shopping mall which have a lot of restaurants and shops.

Once you know your way around, the movement between Hotel to Al Haram and to the shopping malls becomes very easy.

This hotel benefits from two entrances, one through the mall which I only used If I fancied something to eat from the mall, Tuheed’s is very good if you are looking for desi style food and easy on the pocket.

‏The hotel is located within Abraj  albayt complex and considered a good standard and the rooms are of a good standard and very close to the Holy Mosque and the complex has a very distinctive mall and the hotel staff perform Wonderful with the guests.

Regarding the breakfast, it is very poor with very limited choices and poor quality food (no fresh juice, only american coffee, no egg station, poor bakeries,. .

Bathroom accessories are very poor quality starting tissue papers and including the Shampoo.

I am giving it such a poor review due to the reservations team and customer relations team.

The reception was poor and the view was not good compared to the amount paid and the reception staff were slow and bad
 I want to take my money back and I filed a complaint with the tourism and antiquities  authority.

Dust was present on most surfaces in the room indicating a poor cleaning job was done.

The Service is really poor, I booked a room with Haram view,

I expressed by dis-satisfaction at the wait and poor checkout service.

Not satisfied, poor front desk, no wifi connection.

Never recommended this hotel except for hotel location nothing is worthy to stay here, 
very small rooms, Wifi strength was very weak, unpleasant stay.

What you gave me was a small room for two adults only.

Upon checking in, not only was the room small and completely different to the pictures posted on the website,

Rooms are small, moldy smell and worst cleaning.y wife even got an allergic reaction from the pillow because it was not cleaned.

Thinking to be in second home when you travel means be in a place where you will be in a warm welcoming, my reservation was normal room got a view to Kaaba and holy mosque, they gave me a room at the beginning was not to my standard

the overall cleaning of the hotel was great bathrooms need to be renovated as the water comes out of the shower cabinet making the floor of the bathroom filled with water..

The sink was loose and filled the bathroom with water.

The showers in the bathrooms don’t have complete closure and water tends to get filled up.

Water would spill inside the bathroom vicinity and it is what probably led to the wooden bathroom door to get over-humidified and cracked.

The shower cubicle glass door is fixed for some reason, so you can not close it and water spills out on the floor when taking shower.

I complained with no response except after calling booking seversl times by adding extra bed, this made the room more narrow and tight,
Bothroom need maintenance, water was present in the floor all the night.

There was no water supply for 2 hours just before Fajr time
The breakfast lounge is a bit far , always busy looks more like a wedding hall.

There was a hot water problem in the shower which could not be fixed after several attempts i eventually I had to move room, which was frustrating as I had to pack everything up again, which was time consuming.

My only problem was that the room did not have hot water availability through out the day.

The water pressure in the bathroom was strong.

* Bath shower waste water flows  to the opposite direction of floor drainage.

The "BAD" thing about this hotel:

Bathroom shower area - water wasn't  draining.

No tooth brush.. No quick response.. Poor plug of water boiler.. No enough drinking water.. Tv system is complicated..this will be last time in such hotel..

Rooms : 5/10, bathroom is pretty small and water clogs, room walkways is pretty narrow 

Parking: 0/10 - No Parking, front desk said they can only confirm once they have availability which is not confirm.

Whenever we shower, the whole bathroom would be flooded with water which is annoying because we can't do anything about it

However, the one thing which was bad about the bathroom was the showers: when we arrived the water was very hot so we called room service
