Food and Beverage Manager Mr Lahiru, assistants Milinda,Lahiru, Front Office manage Mr Niranjan and excellent team,Ex Chef and team who dished out some tasty choice of meals ,House keeping team who offered well cleaned rooms, Maintenance and animator team who supported in every possible way  .All in all great service by all who helped Outbound Adventures to facilitate a very successful corporate event.

We conducted an animation programme at Hotel Club palm bay under the guidelines of Animator Shalika.

Specially, Animation games were attractive and fun for every adults and childrens.

Hotel offers a large rooms, delicious meals, Acess to a pool and you can play basketball, badminton, tennis etc.

Overall experience is good, many activities are in place to pass the time, Guest relation officer Lahiru has helped a lot during our stay, 

Buffet had a range of options to try out.

Although our focus was the tournament, the environment of the hotel was very pleasing and staff was extremely helpful.

Many outdoor and indoor activities are available here.

Swimming pools great and fun with Volleyball water ball games.

They also have other team activities suitable for groups.

The swimming pool is one of the best part including other variety of activities including pool table, gym, and a tennic court.

The best part were the pool and the other facilities (SPA, basketball and badminton courts, private beach)

Buffet on all 3 meals tasted homely and had a lot of verity and balance.

We booked to celebrate our 5th anniversary and staff are very friendly,delicious food menu,pool is big and good for children.

Today me and my family members came for the club palm bay.it was very beautiful and biggest hotel i had seen..rooms are very clean and beautiful..i most like that environment..foods are delicious.. We came to this hotel for spending our holiday with our kids.it was really amazing place to enjoy with kids.the foods are very delicious and there are different types of traditional foods and other kinds of foods.

lunch buffet was amazing and super hygiene.

Many variety of buffet meals, gives the opportunity to enjoy the meal without complaining.

But we are sure that we closed all the doors before going to sleep and we are clueless how someone had entered our room and stolen our goods.Immediately we informed the hotel management  and they visited the room and said they have never heard a theft like this one.

But it certainly doesn't feet like a place which was closed for nearly 2 years.

Almost suddenly Kalinga Pereyra went to his room and informed us over the phone that the door to room 124 was open.

The Staff were evey helpful and made sure we were able to get the best experience at the hotel.

Excellent service and hospitality, excellent foods and house keeping, good condition rooms .staff is very friendly and helpful.thre was a street festival and enjoyed well with family.

Despite the one night stay this hotel has fulfilled the expectations of a lone gem by the beach.

We enjoyed the swimming pool and beach as well.

Friendly staff, beach is not clean as Trincomalee beach.

but the hotel has a very large beach park with showers, across the road.

The view of the hotel is pretty nice, 2mins walking from the beach. Food is amazing, I just love how Sri Lankan and continental all the meals are :)

This hotel has a big buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner with many local and foreign dishes.

we went there for a day outing with our company staff and its head count was around 500.but carolina beach staff offered us an amazing service and they gave their best for our happiness.when concerning their foods, they offered a very tastable  and affordable buffet menu for our day outing.specially i have to mention one lady called "Ms.Deepthi" and she was a major role of their remarkable service experience.she is very helpful and customer oriented character.

Food was even delicious and did not take much time to make what we requested.

We stayed there for 3 nights and the calm and quiet environment and friendly service and its ability to accommodate more than 300 people at once and serve them all at once are remarkable things about this place

The location is next to the beach which adds more value and the hotel environment is perfect.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

The atmosphere was casual, the view and restaurant beautiful, especially at sunset.

Superb atmosphere, great service and food is awsome.

Wash room was very dirty & the basic needs like hot water or even proper water supply was not there..

The Air con gave trouble and it was very hot in the room.

The hot water in the shower is also not in order.

The hot water never worked properly and the water pressure in the bathrooms was poor.

There is no shop, no money exchange, and limited hot water!

We had ants crawling on our bed and an open drain near the toilet which was bery smelly.

There were some bad smell when we entered into the room.

One of the pools had exposed wiring and steel drainage point sticking out which could cause a serious injury.

Pls never visit this hotel.Not clean at alll.Food was nasty.The pool was filles with isects.They have breeded too.Rooms smell reallly awwfull.It stinks alot.Washrooms are not maintained at all.The tap is rusted.PLS NEVER VISIT THIS HOTEL.

Beverages which they served us was warm and smelled like pee.

A few areas to work on would be to ensure that the rooms smell clean and fresh and cleaned regularly.

The current small swimming pool by the restaurant is adequate and believe it or not fitted with a urine detector, which is something of a first to me.

Room service is very slow.

I am sure this is sewer and maybe the sand deals with it,

I specially enjoyed the view and the big pool they have.

I, especially, enjoyed the view of the sunset.

Rooms are comfortable with all the amenities you’d come to expect, they have a nice view of the pool.

The room was located on the upper floor and was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the pool.

The Carolina Beach is a good hotel at a nice location (The hotel is well located with view of ocean), in Chilaw Sri Lanka, a good business hotel with all the facilities,

It provided a great view of the Indian Ocean.

but if you want to chill and relax and not be disturbed by hawkers/ peddlers, just soak up the warmth, the sea and the pool, this is the place to go.

Lies around 7 km away from Chilaw town and faces the ocean with nice beach.

you can not do much in the beach as the sea is rough in this part of the country.

We were looking for something with great seafood, a bit different, great views,

The hotel has a stunning pool, easy beach access (just across the narrow road in front of the hotel entrance), very good food, and quality service if you can forgive some of the language barriers and newness of the establishment.

The PVC pipes which run across the beach from the hatcheries to the sea look somewhat alarming to the untrained eye since they resemble sewage pipes

Some rooms has some issues with hit water and toilet flush

8 a. m. We were woken just to receive 2 bottles of water.

There's was a large split in the floor which meant that  when it eventually started to flow, water was saturating the ground underneath.

but I didn't want to swim despite the water looking clean.

Another problem is the running water which is not clean, so we could not use the jacuzzi.

There was dust on all flat areas, spider web in the shower and the cold water tap was difficult to prevent from dripping.

but really just need a lick of paint and bleach the bathroom.

Rooms are good only the shower might need a little upgrade.

but maybe even some fresh paint and the bathrooms need some fixing up.

The bathroom looks a bit old, cracks in the wash basin, and stuff like dirty spots and lamp fixtures not attached properly , stains in the sheets  (that were definitely freshly washed when we arrived), give the place an air of faded glory.

The bathroom in particular was a bit unappealing..

The bathroom was disgusting, with dust on every surface, a dirty floor, other guests' hair on the floor and soap scum on the sink.

but the air conditioning was very noisy and there was no hot water in the shower.

In order to show russian tourists (which are the majority in here), shower have light in it, which means hose is lighted

but I prefer a more simple location and I certainly could not complain about the cleanliness or lack of amenities etc.

i.e.. bedside tables and lamps, a fridge, aircon and fan and best of all 2 bath mats so no more wet and slippery floors.

No wash cloths or bath amenities (bar of soap only).

Bathroom looked tired and in need of paint and freshen up!

A trail of ants greeted us at the bathroom door - beyond the door was a grim bathroom which made our skin crawl.

The bathroom had a cracked mirror and the floor was filthy.

On the one hand the room was quite a good size with a sea view from the balcony and on the other hand the bathroom had seen better days.

Our room was not salubrious at all; the bathroom in particular is quite basic, the water flow from the shower isn´t great either.No television in the room (not that this was an issue for us).

We have had amazing time here in Sanmali, it was off season,but still the food was awesome, especially the local sea food soup, fish plate, sri lankan breakfast, we have also tried the local coco "Ra" drink,something like our heuriger/new fresh wine, staff was very very nice to us, kind, helpful, friendly, and willing, most of thedays we spend woth Priyantha a great personaliry and friend of us,

We could try local breakfast, "Ra" drink, etc.

but the staffs, hospitality,  ambience and nice spread of breakfast is worth the stay.

We would like to recommend this hotel for it's family atmosphere, delicious rice & curry and very friendly people.

They proposed many different options from room only, with breakfast, half board and do board at a very attractive price.

The Food is very nice, you should try the Sri Lankan breakfast!

The hotel for a good rest has it all: great nutritious, vitamin-fortified Breakfast in the fresh air.

The food was delicious and the service very hospitable.

but they did, and invited us for a breakfast.

Breakfast is buffet with some western dishes.

Before I launch into all out criticism I should say that there was a young guy serving breakfast who was very efficient and pleasant, clearly trying hard and yet you wonder to what end in that place.

The evening meal was the first buffet of many in Sri Lanka and was fine.

Breakfast was brought to our table and was tasty, especially the fruit plate.

but staff are friendly and food selection we had (buffet) was reasonable.

but for some basic tlc they could charge twice as much and you feel you had a bargain.

Although this is about two pounds it's the principal of the thing being charged for nothing.

We agreed to pay one night's room charge.

Things were not helped since the hotel was billed as being in Negombo.

I went with my family and stayed here for 2 days.It is a lovely place to enjoy a holiday.

I visited this place on sinhala new year vacation with my family.

I sincerely say your hotel and service impressed me a lot and I have no hesitation in recommending "Sanmali Beach Hotel" to all of my friend who may visit Sri Lanka in future on their vacation time.

i had a wonderful peaceful vacation, exactly what i wanted, im gratefull to staff so much, they all are helpfull, polite and i never face a problem during my stay.

We chose to stay at the Sanmali in Marawila for the last 3 days of our holiday prefering not to use Negombo as an airport waiting room.

Booked in for a week of a hopefully relaxing break during an extended birding trip covering all of the Indian subcontinent.

if you are looking for a getaway with a laid back atmosphere and friendly staff, this is the place to go.

On our first morning breakfast was "served", a very good juice, fruit, omelette, toast, bread, jam, coffee and tea as the day before was a public holiday.

Just got back from an amazing two week holiday at SANMALI beach hotel.

Anyway on arrival and check in I got more poor excuses and eventually an apology for the transport debacle and as a gesture of customer goodwill I suggested they pay for the cab so they refunded the cost.

The service was very slow to get a drink and the food at the buffet was poor quality and very expensive - going to a  local place would be much cheaper and better food.

however a nightmare with a poor vegetarian choice.

The room was seedy, poor, uncleaned and generally run-down.

Comparing the cost of staying  a night at 5 star hotel,  you can stay  3 nights at Sanmale with all the facilities.

If we got it for under 30USD next time we would probably come back, if it was more expensive we would find a different place.
