The club level lounge is perfect for breakfast - lots of choice.

Even a glass of bubbly with your breakfast you fancied it !!!

The breakfast was great , had everything you could think of.

We went full board my three meals a day was great, a glass of cava at breakfast goes down well, plenty fish and meat/ salads for lunch and dinner  the desserts are a fantastic, favourite part of my meals, we went to the spa today got a back massage and then used the indoor pool.

Breakfast in the level was 8-12 everyday and then from 12.30 there are snacks and white wine, red wine and sparkling wine as well as cans of fanta orange, lemon coke, tonic, lemon tea and soft drinks.

but some dishes were luke warm but a great array of food and the breakfast had everything.

We stayed half board and enjoyed the buffet and was worth the extra cost.

There was a wide selection at breakfast too with lots of gluten free options.

The choice at the breakfast bufet is substantial (including freshly cooked omelettes fried eggs and pancakes) with a large choice of cold meats cheeses yoghurts cereals fruit bread juices, hot drinks, etc., and a honeycomb and Pressco..

The breakfast and dinner offered everything what we wished to have - diferend kinds of meat, fish, vegetables, tasty deserts and always fresh fruits.

The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious.

I don’t eat first thing so it was nice to be able to have breakfast a little later in the morning.

There's basically only 1 restaurant besides the beach bar and it's a buffet and you feel like you are in a cafeteria..

The breakfast buffet was good with lots of choices including custom-made omelettes.

Breakfast was delicious with a great selection.

A matter of meters from a taxi rank (reception will call on to the door if you wish).

Unfortunately, you will find better soundproofing in a tent - may be ok if you accept that you are unable to sleep past 730 due to either being woken up by one or more of your neighbours’ alarms, scraping of chairs and thumping footsteps from above, every word of conversations in the corridor (there’s a one inch gap under the door).

however if it had been hotter it could have been uncomfortable as the rooms have sliding doors to the balcony so you have to have the door open for air, it is lovely to sit and hear the sea.

We had to leave our balcony door open every night, which is not what I would expect from a 4* hotel.

Due to the time of year the air conditioning is switch off so the room was very stuffy so had to have the door open to cool it down.

We always sleep with the patio doors open and the only bit of noise you hear is the ocean.

but housekeeping would come and open the door every 20 minutes even after we would answer and say not to worry about coming back.

Away from that issue, the rooms we were allocated were on the outside edge, overlooking the apartments next door, which are in need of tidying up, so not a good view.

There where finger and sweat marks all ovder the place ( specially doors, could see them all day long, every place i looked), i can still smell the previous guests in the room.

We had to sleep with the balcony door open all night.

Walls don't keep out noise internally and doors are squeaky.

Currently staying here, a problem with keys not opening doors consistently, had to change rooms twice, still problems with keys, breakfast is ok, waiting staff were nice, rooms very small, hallways needs a refurb, cleaners were v good,charge €20pp to use indoor pool, and asked for a cork screw and was told I’d be charged €5!

It had the same narrow hallways with doors as it was last time.

I told Achar to go inside and shut the door and smell it.

The Level doors open up so the smoke can drift inside - a smoking area  away from the majority of outside tables and the Level entrance might solve this?

we are regular visitors this hotel, we found the staff, from the door man that welcomes you through reception to higher management, all made us feel at home , on the LEVEL the concierge team were just amazing, sorting out any minor problems that arose during our stay, we will certainly be going back, the staff are more like old friends than employees

A lot of people complain about elevators and that is definitely a problem: they are terribly slow, fit only 4 people, there is no “close the doors”

This is what we thought until the invitation to the reception next morning is being slipped under the door.

No tissues in bathroom, no shower cap (had to go out and buy both)  No hook on back of bathroom door for dressing gown.

Maybe a day or so later, they came and stuck a plaque on the door.

Upgraded to 'The Level' at a cost of €420 fro the week for which the only real benefit was a guaranteed subbed and a quieter spot for breakfast.

This hotel was expensive and didn’t meet expectations as it lacked some standard room amenities which is a shame.

ADVICE: if you're wobbling over whether to pay the extra few hundred for the upgrade don't.

but a fair point to make if individuals can’t climb stairs)

If they would relax on this side of things, I would rate it higher.

but it’s hotel prices so not too surprising there.

though the prices have certainly increased.

but I guess I think hotel guests should not have to pay for that.

If you want something better, like small canapés you have to pay for them.

You do have to pay for any drinks tho  including water .

but you have to pay for it, and it comes in a can!

Lovely bedroom paid extra for Deluxe double with sea view we got just that on 6th floor we had been warned by Jet2 of over running building works in hotel with to be honest in our 4 night stay only materialised on last day

The manager  offered to refund the cost which was just over 20euros and and meal in the  buffet restaurant which  I would not recommend, instead of refunding the money they applied a credit to our account and as we had paid upfront, they refunded in euros less the cost of drinks with the free meal.

but this is only available if you've paid for the upgrade.

You pay nearly double to compare with similar hotels

Only minor challenge was the small and slow lifts

The waiters were extremely slow to both serve you and bring your drinks.

Check in very slow with too many details required for computer system.

One consequence of the new rooftop facilities is that the lifts can be a little slow .

even though there are 3 lifts in each part of the building, it is painfully slow.

There was three to use from and they were very small and slow.

but very slow lifts & unpleasant staff at the hotel reception, can be improved much more certainly.

Service at reception needs reviewing - extremely slow and not very helpful.

As mentioned by other travellers : the lifts are sometimes slow in their arrival.

Sometimes bar service around down stairs pool a little slow as short handed as staff are working on the roof top or in dinning rooms.

Lifts - just awfully slow and too small - use the stairs.

The water flow from the taps is so slow it took over 5 minutes to fill the basin for a shave.

The lifts as mentioned by others are a bit slow

Also the lifts are quite small and very slow.

Check in and checking out was slow and not too friendly.

breakfast was included and was simple and what you would expect - it would be nice to be offered the hotter options as we didn’t realise we could get those until after we had finished our last breakfast!.

Breakfast was also great with a really good choice.

There is is something  really special watching the sun go down, the city and port light up with a delicious Sangria.

Breakfast was in the restaurant and there was plenty of choice.

We were looked after very well by Carolina and we always visit here for a light breakfast when we stay in Malaga and went 7th and 8th and had nice hot coffee and ham and cheese croissants and were well looked after by Luis.

The staff was extremely kind and very serious about the COVID measures, especially for the breakfast (delicious, by the way).

We didn’t have breakfast as we prefer to eat out.

Breakfast was continental style with a good selection available for all tastes.

Masses  of choice beautifully presented just delicious.

The ground floor Matiz restaurant serves an exquisite menu of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, drawing on fresh local produce for a high-quality offering from breakfast through dinner.

They serve an excellent breakfast and choice for lunch and dinner is very good, with a tasting menu available should you wish.

but Roberto should be in charge of training.

Unfortunately very big and only one heavy key for the room, we prefer to get key cards, one for every person.

An odd thing was that there were no electronic cards to access the room, instead a very large keychain in wood (about 1 dm long) - felt just like the 80s!

It has overtaken, Valencia, Seville and Palma on our Xmas destinations score card.

I would much rather have a key card system which seems to be standard now at most hotels.

Because of the poor weather we got a taxi from hotel to airport and were charged €24.

(Note: rental car not really needed and there is a per day charge to park at the hotel).

We forgot to bring our daughter's stroller with us and can't thank the hotel enough for lending us the Bugaboo Bee stroller for the week at no additional charge.

Was shocked to find a 9 euro charge per day on the bill when we checked out.

Asked for a discount on this one room (we had two rooms) for just that one night - hotel employee said NO & said he felt comfortable charging full-price since we had been provided a non-smoking room & thus it was not possible for the room to smell. Ridiculous.

As 'half boarders' we were initially offered a comprehensive menu and then when I double checked we were allowed to order anything from it, they were swiped away and we were given a more limited verbal option.

The breakfast items are a bit sparse, you sort of get all the usual suspects, and can ask for eggs to be cooked to order for no extra charge, I got the feeling that if you did then you’d be waiting quite a while.

Another day we combined smoked salmon and scrambled egg, washed down with a glass of cava for which there was no extra charge.

I need the TV attended to - it was fixed immediately - maintenance guy David left a report card to say all was fixed.

Tea making facilities rudimentary, no milk, only cream and mainly herb teas - any more tea bags etc charged for - should be included in the price in this expensive hotel.

One complaint we had was that on the last day when we sat inside we found a menu of each table that listed a number of other items you could over free of charge including omelettes, churros and cava - we did not see any of these menus outside and no one bothered to mention this.

There's a wide selection of choices to suit both British and continental tastes and freshly made omelettes etc were available to order at no extra charge.

A notice said any extra supplies would be charged at 50cents per item.

Pity they charge so much (22 euros) for car parking.

The location in tbe historic part of town is perfect close to bars and restaurants both in the port and old town plus all the historic sites.

The location is outstanding for those wishing to walk around the historic center on foot, and the rooms do not disappoint.

As others have said, the location is ideal,  close by the cathedral, the Alacazar, the port and the food market.

Hotel Molina has everything you could want in a hotel – great location, hip rooftop pool, clean rooms, excellent bar and restaurant and fantastic service.

We were above the bar so we couldn’t get to sleep as so loud on road, all night we heard guests coming back shouting slamming doors until 6 in morning, from 4am bins been emptied and obviously as on street of bars lots of glass smashing and banging.

Our only complaint would be The Top bar plays very loud music on Fridays - too loud for comfort.So if booking make sure you don’t get a room close !

It was so loud we took our glasses to go, and no surprise, we were the only ones up there besides the staff.

There was a small reception with food being held at this time and only that party received any attention.

Unfortunately at the bottom of the courtyard there was a bar that was open until 1 o’clock and played loud music.

though we kept hearing the loud Easter celebrations from the outside.

And the most troubling issue I had: the person in charge of breakfast was very loud, plates and trays were handled in such a way that there was constant noise, clatter and for me this was a bit stressful.

beware at the weekends private parties have the pool area and the lower bbq area a little bit embarrassing with people saying you cant sit there.

We were put off a little by some of the music that was being played on the rooftop.

Oh and in the morning, the HOTEL, yes, that is what I said, THE HOTEL, plays loud rock music in the atrium so that if you plan to sleep, or just want peace and quiet you are not going to get it.

We had a room that looked onto the interior courtyard so it was really quiet, other people in our party has rooms that looked out onto the street and they said it was much noisier (but obviously better view to look out on!). The pool was open (though pretty cold!)

Unfortunately we too were woken well before 9.00am by the renovation work below - not overly loud

My only "complaint" was that the hotel books the roof top pool area frequently for private parties so we had very little access.

There was no background music just a loud tv in the background showing football which one of the reception staff kept popping back to watch.

but still not fixed  Told reception again when we went out to eat dinner and were informed that it would be fixed Result- another awful night Room extremely hot and when opening the windows the noise from outside was very loud Asked to be moved to a different room the next morning only to find that the air con was  not working in this room either.

The Bar did lack atmosphere post 2330 as it appeared that the majority of Client were event/conference goers, given the number of smokers outside the entrance at certain times of the day.

Some of my party didn't like the outside area being in the 'square' of the building

but was not loud enough to disturb us at night.

however very loud and although not a problem to us, it did start at eight in the morning.

The rooms are very comfortable and housekeeping is immaculate.

We stayed in 4 rooms as a group of 8 friends doing a speedy mini break in Malaga.

And the rooms are excellent, nice towels, dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries, and a kettle and things

Our room was so nice and clean and had a beautiful view of the Cathedral.

Clean and comfortable rooms with wooden floor, bathroom with walk-in shower.

Room and Hotel in general was very clean , also friendly staff.

Sleep quality is very good in the spacious rooms.

The rooms were light, airy, modern and exceptionally clean and the roof-top bar and pool was a winner!

The room was comfortable, very clean and with a small balcony over looking the street - we both slept very well.

They shouldn’t allow people to stop in that room!!! !

Front desk staff were very helpful, luckily we are able to check in early as the room was ready.

The breakfast has improved immensely since my visit pre-covid.

The breakfast is a must, great choice and a sensible breakfast time from 7.30 to 11am., which is very civilised for holiday breakfasts.

Breakfast was really fresh and healthy and staff were brilliant.

Comfortable, clean and a wonderful breakfast area with many options to get you going in the morning.

Rooms are clean and good en breakfast is really nice!

It was worth every penny and and actually saved us money as we had breakfast everyday on terrace and spent the afternoons and early evening sitting on it having a drink and taking in the

- unfortable pillows
- bath ancillaries are not changed on daily basis (if you shampoo is finished housekeeping will not put you New one)
- floor was quite dirty
- breakfast was very poor plus in was very dirty in the restaurant (waiters were sweeping crumbs off the tables on the floor!!!)

On the positive side there were, though, very many excellent and very good reviews against the small percentage of poor and terrible ones.

£375.00 for 3 nights with no breakfast- very expensive for the poor quality.

We discovered this hotel after a poor experience staying someplace else and the hotel really rescued our vacation!

The standard of finish is extremely poor, especially in the bathroom.

Care with English translations of notes, signs on pictures (in breakfast room) - very poor.

They make a big fuss of the shower unit which due to poor water pressure didn't work as it should have.
