You don't know how this has made my niece’s birthday truly special and memorable.

We've decided to celebrate my birthday here and true enough it was a fun-filled experience for my family.

Sofitel was also thoughtful to send me a birthday cake even when our family staycation was a late celebration for my birthday.

Special thanks to Carlo from the front desk who made sure my husband and I can celebrate my birthday in the most fantastic way.

I had fun celebrating my birthday last night at Sunset Bar Foodtruck, Sofitel Philippine Plaza.

We booked here because, honestly, I do love Sofitel, and I wanted to celebrate my birthday here.

Booked a room for my birthday, Carlo of reception asked if we are celebrating anything and he upgraded our room to luxury city view.

Carlo the front desk guy is indeed marvelous as he upgraded our room to a luxury suite due to it's my birthday.

Made a side comment that it's my friend's birthday and voila!

Best decision was to celebrate my birthday at Sunset Bar with the BBQ grill buffet and fresh and refreshing breeze from the bay.

We had a sumptuous meal and wonderful experience at Sunset Bar while celebrating our daughter’s advance birthday treat.

Cesar and me had a grand vacation after my birthday at Sofitel Hotel Manila we had a great time in that place specially the buffet so yummy foods and drinks..We
Also enjoyed swimming in the pool and watch beautiful scenic views.. We enjoyed picture taking too.. We had a relaxing vacation and stayed in the room for enough sleeping time without any rush and no deadlines to hit and works to do.. Having a vacation at Sofitel Phil Plaza Hotel is an excellent venue.

They gave us warm care and a friendly crew, especially Ms Sharmaine who assist and gave us a surprise birthday upgrade treat.

We were surprised when we entered the room, there were a lot of balloons and a birthday banner.

The complimentary birthday cake was good, though.

Booked a room (free night inclusive of the membership) last Jun 23 for the dates 29-30 Aug to celebrate my birthday.

Thanks for making my son's birthday memorable.

They also gave a complimentary birthday cake for my sister.

We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday at the Mindanao Ballroom of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila on July 23.

Ms.Au in the spiral give us a nice table and brief us per station they have in breakfast .

We were first timers at the Spiral for our dinner buffet!

The breakfast buffet was excellent with choices from different ethnic food types (filipino, japanese, chinese, etc.).

The staff was excellent and I had a great daily breakfast in Le Bar with Rusell.

The Spiral buffet has a variety of foods that you cant help

I keep coming back to Sofitel in manilla as the rooms are perfect and the breakfast is the best I've found anywhere in the world (and I love in Qatar!!).

Rooms and breakfast are great not to mention pool and spa facilities.

The food is amazing, with a unique buffet that includes all sorts of yummy, fresh food.

Secondly, do have the breakfast in Spiral….it is the best hotel breakfasts you will ever find — I challenge anyone to nominate something better!

I'd like to personally thank you for assisting my family and, most especially, for ensuring that my niece had a wonderful birthday stay at the Sofitel.

But Carlo, the front desk officer, gave us an upgrade upon learning it's my son's bday celeb.

The staff were supportive and provided timely pool access to my nephew who was with us and immensely enjoyed his pool time.

We recently celebrated my daughter’s debut at Sofitel .

We recently celebrated my son’s wedding at the Luzon ballroom of Sofitel Philippine Plaza (Villena-Pimentel Wedding).

We got a great deal with breakfast already for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Thanks also to Mr. Russel from the concierge who helped us to fix my nephew's broken shoes.

First time going here with my fur baby and I must say it's hassle free and kudos to this property for being pet-friendly now.

Forget thinking about swimming the full circle, kids won't let you do that.

The whole family especially my nephew were very impressed.

The kids had a really great swim at their huge pool.

Been staying here off and on for a few years now and it just keeps getting better each time .Only a few minutes away from the airport.Perfect place for family with children great swimming pool and play area .Spiral Buffet restaurant with great choice of food and the staff are nice and friendly especially Abby as you enter the restaurant.

We had a great experience at Sofitel Hotel from the suite room and for our breakfast at the Spiral hidden room most especially during my daughter's 18th birthday celebration.

but its either NO ONE IS ANSWERING OR THEY WILL FORWARD THE CALL TO THE OPERATOR OR IN DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT.

We tried ringing concierge a lot of times

but also failed to call me back to apologize for the inconvenience.

At no time did his activities disturbed my conference call.

Rest assured to call you on our future events in Sofitel.

We were on call with Agoda and we waited for 2 hours while they were "fixing" the problem, sitting in the lobby, to no avail.

Finally, at 11 am, they were able to order food. I spoke to the hotel’s front desk staff, VIn, and was able to raise the issue to their front desk manager on duty whose name I couldn’t quiet remember due to the bad connection because I was calling from Seoul( I guess, it’s Mina or something.)

8. the house cleaning day after day took out my robes without bringing them back and i had to call reception to bring my robes back

9. as many reviews stated the room is not well maintained the shower needs a deep cleaning some walls need repainting and some furniture need to be fixed or renewed.

I rang the reception from 9pm until after midnight, 5 times on different occassions

Positives:

-yummy Filipino dish section during breakfast

Downfall:
Unfortunate Experience
-no one assisted me upon arrival (1 luggage, 1 big paper bag, 1 plastic bag, laptop bag), maybe because I used a regular white taxi unlike the other guests or maybe because they are busy assisting the crew from Qatar Airways 
-it will take you at least 3 phone calls just to check what are the current offerings in the hotel. (e.g.

Call this Novotel or even lower brand. Oh!

At least now I know I still have a place to call home when I come to the Philippines for business.

This time it has bedside powerpoints for my cpap and phone charger.

But the problem persisted and I again, had to call in the next day at 8PM to remind them to deliver in the lounge food to my room.

My aunt left her phone somewhere we dont know.

The food takes 1-5 hours to arrive and you might have to repeatedly call to follow up as they are very busy and probably forgot your order.

In a nutshell:
- food arrives more than 1-2 hours late, and you need to repeatedly call to make sure they are on it
- when the food arrives, there is a 50% chance it is not your order or an incomplete order
- if you call the operator (for anything), you wait at least 10 minutes before somebody answers
- I was entitled to an treadmill (since I was in a suite),

Calling everyone is difficult (dont use NYE as excuse, you should plan better).

First day at Sofitel hotel Manila receiving very warm welcome at  executive lunge, wonderful experience and great food and drinks.

Friscian, Lovely/Louise (sorry, I can't remember your name correctly) for their A+ service, Catherine -- your cocktail concoctions are the best!!

I would like to commend that the staff at the frontdesk, restaurant, food and banquet service, and engineering staff during the event were all cooperative.

The food selection was also amazing, the best club lounge in Asia.

The amenities here are lovely - great restaurants, pool, spa and gym were all lovely.

The food, of course, was good and reasonably priced.

but the quality of rooms and the service given, despite having their prices increased in the years since my last stay here has degraded so much I just hope they can return to form someday, but right now?

but some of the food were already stale and some were cold.

The room is already old, carpets at the hallway are dirty and linens doesnt smell that good.

Cleaning: A smelly carpet, whose past was obviously greater than its present, with or without peanut shells, depending upon the previous occupant (we got the with-peanut-shells kind).

The doors leading to the terrace were disgusting.

The differences lies that we had mask and a little social distancing.

Also, at the ballroom we are worried about the set up of lights and sounds as the smoke machine was not used properly!

although we had a hard time finding a spot for our things while on the pool and the bath tub was continuously draining even if the drain was closed.

First room that was given was filthy and the only”renovated” in that room was the toilet and the rest of the room was still out dated, we complained and they showed us another room,

Once in the rooms, not quite what I saw in the pictures, our rooms had a  kind of musty smell and dated.

I wouldn't send my worst enemy in there the stench of smoke is so foul.

When we arrived the the room we found it to be extremely outdated, dirty and disgusting.

Carpets and furniture are almost disgusting.

Smell of humidity, safe not functioning, you can hear the voice of the neighbors.

before we left we also realized that we were sleeping on a disgusting bed with a really dirty old duvet insert/filler, this wasn't apparent to us until we opened the curtains that morning.

but our room looks outdated & smells like a rug.

The room was quite dusty, the fridge was very old, had hair inside and dirty yellow mold, bathroom tiles had black mold and need maintenance.

Lightly burned sunny side up egg and omelette!

Hotel room is outdated with carpet coming off the floor, dirty moldy grout in the shower, and in desperate need of a new Smart TV.

'Tis my 5th time to stay here in Sofitel and its always a treat coming here.

I think this expression summarizes everything about the food in Sofitel.

We decide to stay at sofitel plaza since we have seminar .

Our staycation at Sofitel Manila is one of the best we've had.

Spent a couple of days at Sofitel Manila in the club rooms.

I chose the Sofitel because it was relatively close to the airport and was one of the few luxury hotels in the area.

It was a breeze checking-in Sofitel (Early check-in).

Loved every minute of our stay at Sofitel!

We really felt at home as Club Millésime guests at Sofitel Manila.

We had our staycation at Sofitel Manila last weekend and all i can say is that we were truly delighted with our whole experience.

He even told us the history and story of Sofitel.

The expansive lobby was very elegant filipino with wood furnishings, chandeliers, a spiral staircase, and the staff wore traditional filipina dresses.

I wanted to give  HAM, NINA and PIA who assisted me during my stay.

Janelle Crisostomo, the manager on duty, was very accommodating and made sure that we got all we need.

After the buffet I went up to their sports bar and their staff was super accommodating.

Awesome experience in Snaps bar thanks to Rizza, JP, Van and Jake.

The breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied.

So much variety and the rib eye steak was tender and delicious.

This is our first time to try New World’s  buffet.

Very Good experience,  very accommodating,  delicious  food, nice ambiance,  very accommodating server.

The breakfast is great too and it’s suggested that you book the deals with breakfast inclusive of the meal.

The foods are delicious and I love how Neri and Jerica serve us.

It was our first time to dine out as a complete family, post-pandemic, and I have to say the buffet at New World didn’t disappoint!

Carpet is worn out and dirty along with the walls.

The standard rooms need new carpet and more sound insulation as my neighbor’s morning call back to the office always woke me up.

Unfortunately the carpet didn't seem to be well-maintained and smelled like old carpet.

Its just that the carpet in the looks old.

The other thing didn’t like this time a part from “small bathtub” was cleanness particularly floor (carpet) in the room and toilet floor (I stayed 10 nights).

stained carpet is really disappointing and there were lots of them.

The carpets where and worn out and in serious need of replacement, as they were wearing and had steins on them in places.

The carpets when up vacuumed during our stay, the bathrooms were not cleaned properly and items where not replenished.

The carpet in my room looked like a crime scene.

The only downside I had was that I found that my room seemed a little dated and there was a stale smell in the carpet and sheets.

Maybe the carpets need to be chemically cleaned or replaced.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner here.
