Very good experience,  the staff were incredibly friendly & helpful even leaving us a special gift in the room for my 5 year old son!

The room was cozy and pleasant and the staff friendly and helpful - and did not make me feel terrible about not knowing a word of Spanish.

The hotel's neighborhood was central to many places to eat and shop.

yummy breakfast- thebwine and tapas at the bar were delicious.

The restaurants are good too delicious food and they take very good care of you.

The reception staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, they booked us tickets, gave us really good recommendations for meals and were fabulous with directions.

And the building is quite lovely, with several places to eat.

We expected to make far more use of the metro than we needed to (we were pretty much walking distance to everything), with great places to eat in every direction.

The hotel is close to restaurants, museums and other major landmarks.

We got an upgrade for just €40 a night and our room was extremely * spacious , well furnished and with good amenities.

The rooms are so beautiful especially the terraces.

Room- we were on the 3rd floor (superior room) I would pay the extra for an exterior room if you can it is worth it.

We had an interior room that was fabulous- comfortable and well appointed.

We had a lovely stay, from the greeting on arrival (thanks Christina), the breakfast team, the bar team and the efficient room cleaning team.

Our room (403) was spacious, except for the bathroom, which was quite tight.

We were super welcomed by the people at the reception and the rooms were very nice and clean on arrival.

but the size was still great--some room for practicing yoga.

No complementary water (unacceptable given the standard and rate of the hotel), cheap nescafé coffee sachets (what kind of decent boutique hotel does not have nespresso machines in-room - they cost nothing these days!

but the room had only a small 2ft x 4 ft window.

Our room was very small - even by city centre standards.

While the rooms are small, the size is what you'd expect in a city centre hotel and the space has been very thoughtfully designed so you still get a comfortable experience.

-In an area absolutely bustling with people and traffic, when our balcony door was closed we heard nothing from outside.

Breakfast gave a choice of hot dishes as well as the buffet and there was no limit to how much you could have and the waiting staff were friendly.

While most of the staff were generally friendly, the service is hit & miss - particularly in the restaurant.

Pros: staff were brilliant and very friendly, we were given a 'three days in Madrid' recommendation sheet with various activities and restaurants local to the hotel upon check in which was a great touch.

We went to the rooftop and the view is amazing, we didn't use the pool because it was too cold.

We actually are staying again at Dear Hotel Madrid on our weekend return from La Mancha and are really looking forward to having a cocktail and wine on the rooftop while watching the sun set over the rooftop and mountain range line view!

The pool is small, just enough to dip in.

Few, small common spaces, tiny pool, looks great in photos though.

Only downside was that the pool is a small plunge pool that was freezing cold, and we couldn’t access it on the day we had hoped due to maintenance works.

The staff is great, Hector at the front desk made extremely helpful recommendations about restaurants, flamenco shows etc, his advice made our trip much better.

Ours had a large living room with couch, small kitchen with stove top and fridge, small table for eating, separately bedroom and large bathroom.

There was a kitchen area, large living/dining room with a pull-out queen bed, and a bedroom with a king-sized bed.

We had a large suite with a very comfortable bedroom, large living room, great bathroom and a kitchenette.

Nice size living room to go along with your bedroom.

The heating and air-conditioning is good, TV in living room and another smaller one in the bedroom.

but the bedroom and living room both had Flat panels set up for your viewing pleasure.

Huge rooms with kitchenette, living room and seperate bedroom.

It is  clean and well-maintained from the spacious living room, front desk, the suite, the cafe.

My toddler son stayed with me so the hotel added an extra bed in the living room, they upgraded us to two suites and both were excellent rooms.

The kids slept on separate pull-out beds in the living room.

The kitchen and frig are life savers plus the bedroom separate from the living room rocks!

We have the one bedroom suite : one queen size bed at bedroom, and they placed two single beds at the living room, great for family.
