The ala carte menu averages 600-700/- + taxes for a single dish.

It's over priced and not upto the standard.

I wish the hygiene of the rooms can be improved as compare to the yearly maintenance fee that is being billed to a club Mahindra member.

Avoid this at all cost and don't spend your time and money here.

they keep veg food with nonveg..and want Vegetarian to bear the smell of nonveg without considering their feelings..if u order food from outside they will forcefully not allowed u to take delivery of food..and then u need to stand outside of resort and eat at food in dark..club Mahindra is huge expensive staffs are highly arrogant and immature.

Although Mr Mahindra may have amassed millions/billions, it's at the cost of duping working professionals and not delivering as per promise.

The portion sizes are very small compared to the prices being charged.

Overall, we found it below mark for the price paid -

The food is extremely expensive, eg one plate of idli cost Rs 300, when neither the quality or quantity matches the cost.

The only not so good experience was with photography services offered they are too overpriced and top of it the print sevices are totally waste of money.

Even after senior citizen discount,the food charges are exorbitant even for vegetarian.

The price includes only indoor games and badminton, all others are charged extra, which is the only negative about this place.

Hey we visited club Mahindra madikeri.. we loved the property and the staff were good and food was good as well.

Spacious rooms aesthetically furnished with large balconies .One is in the midst of nature ,in the woods literally with constant chirping of cicadas etc.Great food esp fantastic pastries of very good quality not found in many CM resorts.

The gardens were beautiful and well maintained with a nice big pool, the location was great walking distance to Restaurants, tlThe unit was very large and well equipped for a family of The Housekeeping supervisor Mr sumanth a very nice and pleasant person, He was very attentive to any of my requests, matters were attended to within minutes.

Happy hub the staff were too much energetic from that Sunday gala dinner we met them.

Food was also good and we were taken care by Indira another nice team member
who is a chef.

For pure vegetarians some concession say 10%, can be given in food cost,since only non-veg.

Where they failed for me was their food pricing and also the quality of their food.

I guess they take complete advantage of the fact that since most guests like to stay indoors, they will have to take some packkage or another for the food and pay up.

Very expensive meal and no complimentary breakfast as well.

So the price for 2 meal was 1752 and they were offering it for 1472 if prebooked.

Food is very very expensive inside this resort & food quality is pathetic.

The Food is way expensive even for my standards.

Also, it is slightly expensive for lunch and dinner.

A la carte food prices could be cut down.

We did try their gourmet express menu which is priced on the expensive side

Food is quite expensive and segregation of various food areas is a bit of pain.

Food delivery in room is like 1 small cup of soup which is priced way too high.

The food prices at the restaurants were quite expensive for non-members.

We learned pool from priyam he is a very good guy in a very polite way he taught us .his dance also very good and last night performances Jaswant and priyam did very well thank you jashwanth and priyam

In hindsight, the supposed musical night was best avoided by me as some Bollywood crappy songs were being sung or played couldn’t make out

We visit happy hub there today was dj priyam from happy hub dance with us he is a very friendly guy and dj by bijo was also good and jashwanth also very good we really like the place.

And also hi tea clown act by jashwanth was amazing we would like to visit again

The show was very good, we enjoyed a lot.

Also we had a magic show , which was very interactive.

We enjoyed the most in the evening entertainment shows.

We stayed for two nights and took one day full tour and special mention about the Driver Mr.Timmiah who took us for the sightseeing and explained very well about all locations and very knowledgeable, friendly person

The evening entertainment is a really engaging program.

P.S - we availed the festive offer which includes and additional complimentary meal along with the breakfast , we took one at the Fern Tree and another at the Grill , the Fern Tree was way way better than the Grill In terms of service , food and Ambience.

The welcome team welcomed us and since we were celebrating my 42 years of practice, the cake decor was prepared.

The property perched on the top ,well laid our keeping the environment in mind .Spacious rooms with large glass to view the misty hills and the thick forest .Restaurants where their team of chefs churn out the gourmet delight be it Indian , continental , Italian & Coorgi  Their cocktails require a special mention .Right from the check in staff , Buggy drivers .housekeeping and serving staff all ensured we thoroughly pampered.

We are grateful for the warmth and hospitality of all the staff that worked behind the scenes to make our stay truly memorable.

Col.Muthanna who is running the museum within the property, it was really great to hear about the local culture and various traditions and architecture details from Col.

The property blends into its surroundings and has perfectly preserved the natural forest around it.

Team from reception and restaurant was really good, Manoj and Narayanan made our rooms fantastic especially a special decoration we loved it.

Narayan and Akshay did a beautiful decoration for a special occasion for us.

Our arrival was sweetened by a traditional Coorgi style welcome that included tying local scarfs/turbans and a warm cup of jaggery coffee all offered by the ever loving staff.

Shreeja house cleaning cleant well and decorated our room making us celebrate anniversary well

Chef Akhil made amazing lamb biryani and truly the best taste it had ,
Chef atharva mutton dish was yummy . .

It was our anniversary and we mentioned that before hand and they decorated the room well

Breakfast was a multi cuisine buffet, lunch and dinner were ala-carte.

Food is good at Ferntree restaurant where we also indulged in local Coorg vegetarian thali.

Got a surprise upgrade and food was good, buggy on time .Indoor activities are good and kids enjoyed it

The Food ,the Jiva spa ,the nature trials ,the mrgg yoga session ,all top notch .

Notable employees who kept us very comfortable were , Muskan The receptionist , Bhuwana and Wuimi - the waitress at Fern tree and the room service boys - Sonu and Partho.

We really appreciate the kind and courteous staff of the hotel, be it the restaurants, spa, front desk and buggy services.

The dinner at the Grill was dreamy - a candlelight dinner with mist around us - definitely a must try for any couple.

Service, restaurants, rooms, activities were all great experiences.

but they were always there within 5-10 mins of us calling the reception to drop us to the restaurants, lobby, activity center, you name it.

True Professional in his interactions, good listener and ensire personal attention was given to us during Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast.

The food quality, taste and more importantly the hospitality demonstrated by him is remarkable.

Few suggestions- please keep some fruits and healthy snacks in the room as hunger pangs are to be taken care of.

It is a lovely property at a high altitude and we got a scenic view from our room of the lovely mountains and forest.

Our room was the Premium Villa Room 509 , the view of the valley was perfect.

The room was spacious, it offered quite privacy.

Also, a huge thanks to Anant and Muskaan who got us 2 huge interconnected rooms that made living with family a wonderful experience.

Narayan who helped sort out room a couple of times was very good.

To name a few, Arun and Muskan from front office ensuring a smooth check-in (in fact there is no formal check-in which was a nice experience) and settling in to our room.

Surprise birthday  cake for my wife which was very delicious :)

This Resort definitely deserves 5 stars for the facilities offered to the guests, taking them around the property in the buggie, any calls made to the reception in 5-10 minutes staff come to your room, Best of fog, scenic view from every room in the resort one can witness and lip-smacking food (kudos to the chef Akhil again) 

Definitely recommend anyone to visit this property and enjoy your stay

The rooms are classy, spacious and with panoramic view which give a feeling of being in the clouds.

Front office staff specially Nabeena was so friendly.

Since our grandmother was travelling with us he gave us a family suite and made sure there were no stairs in the room and the access was easy .

The room had a king size bed and smaller sofa beds for the children, the living room was huge and well equipped with lots of special treats for the kids and us to enjoy.

Great food, entertainment in the activity room & Infinity Pool, incredible masseurs, service staff, nature walks, World class gym and what not.

Great service, large and well designed rooms giving a sense of unlimited space, outdoor  temperature controlled pools and jacuzzis , a small lake and a spa with class, all add up to a superlative experience.

The buggee service to go around in the resort is so helpful and prompt (mostly).

but my verdict: Staff at Tamara is much warmer and food + service is better.
