Breakfast is nice with a good range of both sweet an savoury items on offer.

I took breakfast on one day anf the selection was excellent.

but we were welcomed to eat in the lounge (no room service unfortunately) - but they gave us the menu, which was short but very comprehensive for all tastes and we had a really delicious meal, excellently prepared with quality ingredients, plus an excellent bourgogne red.

The breakfast in the morning was also very tasty and there was a good selection.

but managed to sleep ok.

Starting with the warm welcome of Mr William, which is a great hotel specialist and after the good reception you get a clean nice room and very healthy breakfast and diner which are included.

Having breakfast till noon in the w-e is also a super deal. Location is top (5min walk to the old center, on the rhone, in a nice building)

The continental-style breakfast was similarly generous in quantity and quality.

The late breakfast and checkout time on weekends is a nice feature.

They have good choice of breakfast and all-day club room drinks (including a glass of alcoholic beverage, starting at 18:30).

Nice breakfast (did not have an opportunity to try the free evening snack (with wine) available.

What let the experience  down: 
The room was pretty basic with no wardrobe and just an open rack and shelves for clothes.

Our room was designedly minimalist -- so not much space to unpack clothes for longer stays --

but lacked storage having only a couple of shelves and some clothes hangers.

The only slight niggle was the lack of storage space for clothes.

At the Okko it was very minimal, nowhere to put your clothes, bedding not pressed and the worst thing by a mile is the plastic walled toilet in the corner of the room.

but if you are bringing lots of clothes for work or outings which need to be hung up or are planning on shopping, there will seriously be no place to put anything.

but there was a hook device for hanging clothes.

but a few shelves and clothes hangers in the open.

There is no wardrobe/closet for clothes, just a pole with some clothes hangers.The bags have to be left on the floor and no unpacking can be done..rather tiresome if one is staying a few days as we did.We were assured by the staff that all the rooms in the hotel were similarly furnished.All in all the impression was that this hotel was designed for the single traveller staying a short time.. and a companion was added later as an after thought!

The same minimalist bedrooms with slightly awkward wet room/toilet and one hanging hook for clothes.

but there was very little room for storing clothes - a tiny bar for hanging clothes with only four hangers (I asked for more which were available).

but the only thing we missed was a wardrobe (instead you are supplied with a hanger bar, so all your clothes are in the open).

The hotel is clean and tidy, please remember it is a boutique hotel so do not expect lots of hanging or drawer places for clothes, there's not a lot.

Great location with fabulous staff and a wonderful ambiance with so many nice touches.

Modern hotel, room very comfortable, excellent design and the bed very comfortable.

The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and the room came with a tv on the wall, a writing desk with enough space to work, easily usable WiFi, and something that is always appreciated: an actual coffee machine and not just instant coffee.

The rooms are great, very comfy beds, nice interior design and well-managed stuff on pandemic issues.

The atmosphere is brilliant, the team is professional, warm and discreet, going the extra mile whenever possible.

What really distinguishes this hotel from any other hotel is the Le Club area: a comfortable living room style area where you can sit, relax and get a drink or snack 24/7.

I love being able to sit in the comfy and  stylish club area before and after dinner.

Good value and it was nice not to worry about needing a reservation at the city restaurants.

The Aperitivo at 17:30 is also really nice: you get a free drink and there are snacks and cheeses to taste right before you head off for diner.

The complimentary cheese and cold meats, soup, and salad plates -- with a complimentary first alcoholic drink -- served from 6.30 to 9 each evening was a perfectly adequate substitute for an evening meal.

Loved the club room and the wonderful food and drink offering available all day long.

One of the best bits about the hotel was the 24hr snacks and drinks that were provided free by the hotel, between 6.30-9.30 they also provided a light meal of meat, cheese, bread salad etc plus 1 free alcoholic drink per person.

The staff provided us with amazing dinner recommendations and the overall experience was just pleasant.

The club concept was great, we really enjoyed the light dinner with cheese, salad etc from local suppliers, which was not expected, therefore a pleasant surprise for us!

I did have to eat it with a tablespoon tho.

The kitchen provides snacks and drinks all day, with a continental breakfast and appetizer style dinner with the first alcoholic beverage on the house!

Bathroom was small, door was awkward and difficult to open.

The rooms are pretty small and the bathroom is a glass cube in the room which doesn't make for a whole lot of privacy.

The bathroom is too small and my husband hit his head seriously with the mirror, safety issue due to the limited space is a concern.

We had a classic room, quite big (although bathroom was small to the point of being claustrophobic).

but modern and adequate - although the bathroom was maybe too small (there's a weird reach-around to get to the TP).

but very small especially the bathroom (I think this is the only bad thing in the hotel).

But the bathroom was so tiny you need to be pretty slim to fit in  there .

The bathroom was very tiny and turning on the light would wake up whoever was in the bedroom.

Bathroom is rather small (shower itself has good size) and consists of a glass box (without sufficient ventilation) resulting in excellent acoustics.

but the bedroom was almost too small to open my case on the floor; the bathroom was also small but sufficient.

My only quibble is that the bathroom is tiny and was designed by a man, with no space for a towel rail or hooks, so we had to drop the towels on the floor each morning and have them replaced - very eco unfriendly.

I didn’t like the air and the smell in the club and in the hallways, because of that the whole hotel seemed rusty.

the bathroom had no functional ventilation, it smelled like drainage and mold.

My bathroom had a faint odour of sewage or water not draining properly.

The glassdoor did not close, we had only cold water in the shower, there was mold and sick did not drain properly.

A slight bad smell coming up from the basin.

Rather, the floor around the shower slopes a bit to a drain underneath it.

I could have overlooked the mold in the shower, the chipped room paint, and even the wrinkled sheets,

but the curtain surrounding it was filthy and unnecessary.

but hearing everything, inconvenient when traveling with someone), old and a bit run down tiles in the shower-which was a bit tricky to operate, but ok, also my bed linen and pillows had a moldy kind of smell, bathroom toiletries in the room-one soap and a bottle of shampoo (although I found  note explaining that this is some kind of eco-friendly option, and that you can receive complimentary toiletries at the reception).

The only complaint I had was the sewer smell that would migrate into my room by morning - it went away after running the shower

At the hotel Okko you may not have a bar fridge with overpriced stale snacks in your room,

but we were provided a deodorizer for the room and moved to a much bigger room on the third floor on our second night.

Hotel is so new there is still the faint smell of paint in the stairwell.

The staff and hotel owner are very welcoming and they offer the best and most delicious fresh breakfast "à la française".

Breakfast was good with fruit, bread, poached eggs, etc.

Staff was friendly, did not participate in Breakfast, we tend to go to local small coffee/pastry shops.

The rooms were clean, quiet and well maintained and the breakfast satisfying

Breakfast was available virtually all morning, perfect if you are not an early bird and don’t like to rush in the morning.

It includes hard or soft-boiled eggs, fresh croissants, yogurt, fruit.

We enjoyed a nice breakfast buffet with pastries, meat and cheese, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, cereals and yogurt.

Breakfast was lovely and made for a great start to the day.

nevertheless our two suitcases were opened in the only available area so the bathroom door couldn’t be opened without moving o e of them….and the shelve for the TV was so close that we had to hang a shirt on it to warn us not to hit our heads,,, in the end it became comical….

Thank goodness, because carrying our 46 pound suitcase up the stairs would have been tough.

We found this to be the case in smaller restaurants for lunch as well.

Due to space limitations, the  elevator is typically very cramped, sufficient for two people and their suitcases.

Let's just say it appears that the linens and pillow cases had not been changed.

We had to leave at 3:20 am to catch our flight, they arranged the transportation for us, confirmed the night before and gave us the driver's mobile phone number just in case.

The rooms are small and cluttered so it was difficult to place suitcases and move around the room.

Narrow staircase not ideal for big people & heavy suitcases - the lift could only fit 1 person in so not really suited for a family.

The hanging space consisted of some hangers over the only place I could put my suitcase.

but Tracy and I don't mind a bit of adventure and after working out the best configuration for the suitcases we were very happy with the layout - after all, you only really need somewhere to wash and sleep.. the rest of the time you're out and about.

City hotel rooms in France are small as was the case here

nb the elevator only goes to the 5th floor so we have to carry our suitcases up the last flight - easy due to a wide and low staircase.excellent 2 star hotel

although quite old and not an impressive entrance (need to take lift or stairs to first floor reception) was a quaint and a comfortable stay for 3 nights in Lyon.

When you arrive at this hotel you will initially wonder what you have walked into, it has a tight entrance way and a very old lift, and a tight circular staircase.

The hotel looks old from the outside and from the entrance,

The stairs are old, and the entrance is dark at night.

The entrance is a bit disconcerting, being an electronically-operated door that allows you to reach reception up some quaint stairs.

However we were a bit taken aback by the crammed entrance, backpacker's wall painting and narrow staircase.

When you come up the elevator from the garage, you'll be directly in front of the Theatre Celestins and literally only about 50 to 75 yards from the hotel entrance.

Don't be put off by the rather forbidding entrance and the tiny lift; upstairs, the staff are welcoming and the place has charm even if it's not super chic.

The ground floor entrance was initially a bit daunting,

The hotel entrance is a narrow hallway (shared by other building occupants) leading to a tiny lift and staircase.

The front lobby and entrance is very small and dark, and the elevator is extremely small.

Don't be pit off by the rather shabby hotel entrance and thr fact that the first time you need to be buzzed in to get to  the second floor cramped check in desk .

Stepping in from the street we immediately got a bit of a hemmed in feeling - the hall and staircase up as well as our room being a bit cramped.

The bathroom is not in line with the concept, slightly too modern and the same can be said with the corridor colors.

The entryway to the hotel is a little off-putting initially: bare, gray hallway to a tiny elevator.

As has been mentioned by others, you need a key to enter floor 1 off the street, which is just a hallway to the elevator or stairs, as the hotel desk is on floor 2.

We were a little disconcerted at first, entering the hotel via its narrow hallway and tiny lift up to the first floor reception.

You must be buzzed in from the street (or use your key after hours), use a key to access the hallway to your room and then, of course, use your room key to get into your room.

Our room was one of around six on a small corridor accessed via a heavy door, and many/most guests seemed to be in there, making it pretty noisy till around 2am.

I see some reviews say a little run down, everything was fine in our room, the halls and stair are tight so sure they are a little dinged up from the luggage

The hallways to the rooms are also very basic and a bit forbidding,

Only criticism was that the wifi would not work in the room, so you had to use the hall, or the downstairs eating area to access wifi.

The hallways and stairwells were a little worn and could stand some updating - not shabby by any means, just not crisp and new.

It is like an apartment building so you get a key to a certain floor and enter that part of the corridor with your key where there are then about four rooms.

We had to sit in the hallway in our pajamas to check our email and surf the web at night.

Short walk (2min) to the place Bellecour, and most of the spots such as Place des Terreaux or Vieux Lyon are within short walking distance.

A short walk to Vieux Lyon in one direction, and a shopping district in the other.

From there it is a short walk over any of the many bridges crossing the Soanne into the Old Town.

Hotel is perfectly located 100m from Bellcour Metro and within a short walk of the Rhone, Soane.

The hotel is a short walk to plenty restaurants, the Metro and the river.

Vieux Lyon is a short walk across the Saône River.

Easy and short walk to the old section of Lyon.

It's a short walk to the funicular to Fourviere Hill with the Roman amphitheaters and museum.

The location was quite good, across the street from the Celestins Theater, a very short walk to the Saone river, a very short walk to Place Bellecour, a very short walk to the rest of the between-rivers city, and very close to some of the best brand name  shopping in the city with Cartier being a block away.

It is a very short walk to Old Town and everything to see in the Presquille area.

We stayed 2 nights, great location in Lyon, short walk to the old quarter across the river, and in a good shopping area.

Easy walking to the old town, the river and many of Lyon's attractions as well as a short walk from the pedestrian shopping and restaurant areas.

Perfect location: quiet street in window shopping  neighborhood (but do go in and browse), Close to 3 charming squares (places) Less than 10 minute walk from many great restaurants (try a bouchon) and short walk to river and old town.Loved my room.

This hotel was in an ideal location,  just a block from the river, and short walk to Old town Lyon.

The location is great you can walk to almost everything.

All the shopping and restaurants of the Presqu''Ile are steps away and you can get to Vieux Lyon in just a 5 minute walk.

It is close to everything a first time visitor wants to do, we walked morning, afternoon and evening and it was very easy to return and freshen up for the next excursion.

Very well positioned for walking over the river to old Lyon and also walking into the modern centre with plenty of places to eat.

The location is second-to-none, just a few minutes walk from Lyon's centre, from transport, the rivers Rhone and Saone.

Friendly staff; reasonable price; location - you cannot wish better: in the center of Presqu'île, 5 minutes walk to Old Lyon.

It is an easy walk to the old town from here, even for elderly people.

The hotel is in a perfect location near Place Bellacore and an easy walk across the bridge to the old town.

Only a few minutes walk from the historical Lyon (Le Vieux Lyon).

Could walk to the old town area - many wonderful shops - as well as an unlimited number of restaurants.
