Love the roof deck pool and the views of Hollywood in this central, strategic location on the Sunset Strip.

There is a 360 view of the Hollywood Hills, downtown L.A. and the beach from the roof top deck and fun music playing most of the time.

Room was clean and had a spectacular view of the Hollywood Hills and West Hollywood.

The room was big and had excellent views of the Hollywood Hills.

The view of the Hollywood hills was exceptional.

Customer service was great, the woman who checked me in walked me to my beautiful room with an amazing view of the Hollywood hills.

but the panoramic view of the Hollywood hills to the north , downtown to the east, Koreatown to the south and Century City to the west almost makes up for it.

The rooftop pool was the crowning jewel with breathtaking views of the Hollywood hills.

Loved everything about our stay at the Andaz, spacious room overlooking the Hollywood hills.

We loved the decor/color scheme and the view of the Hollywood Hills was amazing.

The swimming pool was awesome, as it was in an elevated position overlooking Hollywood Hills, with a bar and light meals.

junk destination fee you're at an extra $100+ on top of your room rate.

Car parking is expensive, asked for my EV to be charged overnight and it didn’t happen (at $65 plus tip), so had to waste time to charge the following day.

Pool was a tad chilly during our October stay and parking is pricey

The blinds were torn and broken, the tap was leaking and the free coffee that was supposed to be in the lobby every morning was never out when we went downstairs and we went out ranging from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Also the restaurant is way over price, as this is not a five star hotel.

Also, our washroom door was covered in dust or mold which I wouldn’t have expected for the price paid (see picture attached) Worst of all, the shower was missing a door!

Food and beverage prices are a bit pricey

Wish the Destination fee that they charged was explained at time of check-in since using it at their bodega like area had to be used daily or you would lose it.

Hotel in general looked shabby in places and only a few seats around the pool with 4 empty expensive cabanas ?

Only drawback was it is quite expensive with $60 for valet parking ($55 self-parking), $270 for room and then lots of fees.

My one complaint isn't just the cost of parking,

Bit strange to me that you can only have one juice and hot drink with breakfast when paying what I would class as premium price for the stay

But not worth the over priced rates even with the crappy discount that SWV gave.

but pricey for what you get in terms of room quality.

Watch out for the surprise resort fee ($30 a day).

It is more like a discount motel with a grand Hyatt price. Shame.

but would not offer any discount on the rate, even after telling them the hotel across the road was $79 cheaper per nite.

On either side of the bed there were automated built-in nightlights that flashed to life at the slightest movement, blasting the room with light at all hours.

but they have the worse room ever with none vacuumed floors, towels with yellow stuff on it, and every night at 10pm there would be a sound that would start and not end until 2.

The union sends a bus load of protesters to blow horns and scream at the guest starting at 6:00 am.

First I called the front desk due to noise and they came up and asked her to be quiet, then the crazy behavior got worse and that’s when she tried to bust into our room from the adjoining door and the hallway door.

I asked to be moved and the front desk people could not even hear me.

but it happened to be directly across from the elevator which turned out to be really noisy at 2:30 am in the morning.

The strikers started early in the morning and finished around 7PM and made tremendous noise.

Our room was facing the Sunset Blvd with heavy traffic throughout the day

but do manage do drown out some of the outside noise.

2) It is quiet at night, we were back at the hotel before 10pm and there was nobody at their bar.

the band was loud enough to cause vibrations in my room , seven floors up .

You have to pass the bar every night when you entered the hotel which plays super loud.

We overlooked the strip and while it was slightly noisy, the hotel provides ear plugs!

The smell was horrendous   The hotel smelt of fat from the open cooking area on the ground floor.

The noise wasn't bad at all to be on Sunset.

Currently sitting in my room listening to construction noise.

We headed to the rooftop pool where it was definitely an LA scene with lots of younger singles and no other children.

The rooftop pool had a great atmosphere, and the bar staff were always there to suggest a great drink.

Roof top pool has nice bar; and food service; excellent views; and great music!

but couple things to review:
1) The rooftop pool / bar was wonderful after a long drive to sit outside/get a drink/take in the view.

We spent two days at the rooftop pool- bartenders and servers were great and accommodating.

I found the rooftop pool remodeled and the city view phenomenal and largely unaltered from the previous set-up.

It was the first hotel on sunset and has a beautiful rooftop pool with views of Chateau Marmont and Sunset.

Restaurant staff are fantastic and the rooftop pool deck has an awesome view.

The rooftop pool is also a nice addition and offers great views over LA and the surrounding hills.

The rooftop pool is a must when staying here, it was just a little too cool and rainy this trip for me to get up there.

The rooftop pool is the best in the city.

The elevator lobby stunk of sewer gas over the entire stay.

The room is dark, dingy and smelled like smoke.

Dirty carpet, greasy office desk, worn furniture, smoke smells.

Spaces are permeated by damp, ranky smells, as old as the building itself.

The only two things that let it down for us were the limited breakfast food selections and the stale a/c smell in our room.

but the rooms need an upgrade and the perfume stench everywhere is gross.

A very strong pot smell in our room when we checked in was never dealt with by the hotel.

Room was sprayed with a noxious air freshener that reeked of chemicals.

* “No” - this was the reply I received along with a nasty tone and argument as to why I had to go down and get it myself.

And the smoke alarm was broken and beeping and had to be repaired twice, disrupting my sleep.

I can’t recommend as the rooms while large feel a little dank with poor lighting and carpet that needs to be removed.

It needs a better HVAC system, It smelled moldy.

Maybe getting rid of those old smelly carpets would help.

The hotel is very cool & gives you historic Sunset strip vibes.

The Andaz is right next to the comedy store on the sunset strip and comes with a destination packet including a $15 voucher to the restaurant downstairs and discounts to stores/ restaurants nearby.

Walking distance to Sunset Strip attractions.

The room was spacious and had wonderful views of the Sunset Strip.

I have stayed at the Andaz West Hollywood and its predecessor the Hyatt Sunset Strip on numerous occasions of the past 25 plus years.

This hotel is in a convenient location on the Sunset strip and the rooms & rooftop are fine.

John at check-in was able to score us a corner suite (which actually is really the entire end of the building) and even on the 4th floor, we had a view of nearly all of LA across the Sunset Strip.

If you’re looking to experience the infamous Sunset Strip, this hotel is staffed with the con-artists to suit you.

it was the best deal in that area of Sunset Strip.

My room was spacious for LA, and I got a rockstar view of the Sunset Strip!

but certainly in an ideal location for exploring the Sunset Strip.

This Sunset Strip hotel is steeped in music history given its location to iconic venues such as the Whisky and the Troubadour.

but the Andaz is a decent option on the Sunset Strip if you're a Globalist.

You are close to the sunset strip if that's your game.

Beds were comfortable and I would suggest requesting on of the highest floors so you can't hear any noise from Sunset Strip at night.

The location of the hotel on the Sunset Strip was perfect; the rooms were large, well appointed and very comfortable; the roof top pool was perfect for recharging; and finally the staff were great - welcoming, friendly, and happy to help!!

If you’re a Rock N Roll Fan looking for the perfect weekend getaway on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood this is the spot.

The views from my hotel and the roof were gorgeous!

We got a room with an amazing view over Sunset Blvd.

The hotel didn't disappoint - the staff were very helpful and the view from our room was amazing.

but it’s not too loud everything felt perfect the view of the hills is amazing and we also had that view from our hotel Room .

but the views and comfy beds make up for it

City & Hollywood Hills views can’t be beat.

I had a King room with sitting area and the view was awesome!

Our view was across Sunset Boulevard, over the Pendry, and displayed the LA basin.

Our room was fantastic with a wonderful view over LA.

I will start by saying that this hotel has a great view of the Hollywood hills.

the views were stunning both during the day and especially at night.

(Hollywood Hills, Bel Air, Rodeo Drive etc) Good views of Hollywood hills from room and also the pool. Perfect stop for us and provided great location and refresh (sleep and shower)

Great food, room size, view, and value across the board.

We used the pool a few times which was really nice, good cocktails and a great view.

Pool deck on top of the hotel has beautiful views of West Hollywood.

Love the pool on the rooftop and the views.

The room was very roomy with a great view of the LA skyline.

And the view from our room was SPECTACULAR!

.Free coffee in the am, variety of snacks to grab and go, free wine in the afternoon, aluminum bottles of water and refills on each floor.

The bathroom was also spacious with good water pressure and Lather amenities.

The lobby area is modern and there’s a water and coffee station and a few snacks.

I love the water and ice station (I believe there is one on each floor), which has both sparkling water and regular water!

Little touches really added to the stay, such as free snacks in the lobby and each floor having a free filtered water top up facility.

The provision of free chilled water, wine time and the supply of snacks for guests was a generous and welcome touch

They gave us vouchers for reusable water bottles that you can refill on your floor where the ice is located.

Bring a water bottle, they have water stations where you can fill up with ice, which was a huge plus.

The staff welcomed us with reusable water bottles and snacks.

Large rooms with a  comfortable bed, good water pressure and air-conditioning make t an easy home away from home.

Rooftop was perfect for spending a lazy afternoon reading and the bartender was super attentive - we were only having sparkling water,

So nice that they have water and snacks in the lobby 24x7.

Dior at the front desk was so nice and accommodating that she offered me premium water, and an upgrade with better view.

Our room was spacious with a coffee making machine, water, slippers and robes supplied. .

I got to my suite and there wasn’t any water in the room.

The snack area is also very helpful and we found the water bottle refilling stations great!

Bottled water is given on arrival in refillable cans and there is a water point you can relfill.

but I understand it saves on water and Los Angeles needs all the water it can get.

but no note to say there was a charge for it which worked out at nearly $15 a bottle!

Hotel refused to refund the fee even if the reason for the charge was because of their wifi system.

but they charge a fee each day for things you don’t want like one free movie ticket for 2 guests and one tour ticket for one guest which means the other guest must pay.

Then told there was nothing they could do there was no Hollywood sign room to move us to and that they wouldn't be able to refund us only give us a credit to spend in the hotel despite the fact we are over half way through our stay now.

I did not like the fact that they charge for bottled water and at such a high price, and without clear indication of it (small print).

but after departure they charge your credit card with higher amound as was agreed in booking, and when you challange/claim that invoice is not correct, then they ignore you.

This change in hotel cost us an additional $455 USD in hotel charges and uber fares because of the unethical and disgraceful actions of the management at Loews Hollywood Hotel.

Flight delayed one day and despite both Loews and Booking.com telling me I would not be charged the first night (which due to flight delay, I did not use), I was charged it and when trying to get reimbursement was led on a merry-go round between the two companies.

Also don’t rent a car they charge $60 daily to park it.

They charge $11 for water bottles - in-room and have a $25 destination fee that we weren’t informed of.

This should have been taken from our Expedia credit

I was charged an incidentals deposit and was told that it would clear as soon as check out was done.

I was charged twice and can’t get hold of the billing department to assist or resolve, Been trying for the past 4 days, I’ve sent emails, the person on chat can’t help me.

I’ll start out by saying that my ONE AND ONLY complaint was the destination fee ($25.99) the hotel charges daily and a $20 credit they give you (daily) that go towards the destination fee (confusing!).

The issue here is no one wants to miss out on the credit meaning the coffee shop is overcrowded and painfully slow.

But the service in room of the frigobar (locked for 6 days without reason) and then, they charged me things i didn't consume 5 days after i leave the hotel.

BUT we had to deal with the reception 4 times, each time very very unpleasant, and no explanation for the breakfast credits of $20 per room, we lost $320, the hotel did not wish to make a gesture.

Finally, since checking out we have been charged double the destination fees that we were expecting - they’ve probably increased their prices since we booked.

I paid this happily, being told it would be returned to my credit card the day of check out.

Likewise, we booked an upper floor with a view of the ‘Hollywood’ sign and supposedly were VIP Access patrons eligible for a free room upgrade (plenty were available)

Thanks to Ben at the Front Desk had an Upgrade for a reasonable Price to a Suite with an Amazing view on the Hollywood sign- we loved it!

The bowling,cinema,tour pass destination fee at $37 a day is one per room irrelevant of how many guests are staying and just a discount really which you are forced to pay for something you won’t use which is a disgrace and the staff get very defensive and aggressive when questioned about it.

The fee is $28 a day for nothing and a total con.

Expect to pay a mandatory daily resort fee of $28 dlls.,plus $20 dlls every day for parking.

Very expensive for what it is and we had few towels with stains and looked not good

Here is a disgraceful hotel, do not pay to be disgraced with your money here.

Only reason I’m not giving a 5 star is due to the hidden fees.

$20 surcharge for room service $60 a night valet parking microwave only available on one floor

the only thing that disapoint me was to pay mandatory the Resort Fee once i wouldn't use any of those facilities and I had to pay for that.

Even a single water bottle costs about $15,

Parking is a little expensive @$60 a night valet or 20$ a day self park

All kinds of issues for self parking when trying to pay

Do not stay here, we paid €300 for a security deposit.

but I was now out of pocket as I would need to pay a higher, last minute rate.

It is a bit pricey, so you will have to prepare,

A scam none the less when  you trust expedia for no hidden fees and then you get hit with the resort fee on the way out.

For the price I paid I would expect no bugs!

If you do stay here, request a room on a hover floor so you can bar some nice views of the city.

The room was so comfortable, my window had a view of the Hollywood sign, it was beautiful, the pool at night it was amazing.

We had a view of the hollywood sign, capital building and the observatory.

Has a great pool on 5th floor, with views of the Hollywood sign.

We stayed at a suite at 20th floor, the view was amazing.

Visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Wax Museum, Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica Pier, Observatory and can view the HOLLYWOOD sign, and Beverly Hills.

You can't beat the location, right next to the Hollywood Walk Off Fame and easily accessible to everything!

Our room gave us a direct view of the Hollywood sign and yet was also located within walking distance of the Hall fo Fame and straight onto the main strip.

It is near to the main theatres, walking fame street .

Location was great minutes from Walk if Fame, Kimmel studio and Hop-on-Hop-off bus.

It's in a beautiful and convenient location if you want to visit the 'walk of fame stars,' and the tourist spots that surround it.
