The Chamberlain is a great boutique hotel in a great location.

This is a boutique apartment hotel in a residential area so the location is good because it is very quiet.

Small boutique hotel with excellent location in a residential area, Intimate interior spaces (bar and outdoor patio dining) with fabulous private cabanas on the rooftop pool deck.. Suites were huge and beautifully appointed.

For its location the price is ok. 

It’s a boutique hotel so don’t expect the same standard services big chain hotels give you

I have know of chamberlain for a number of years - they are a boutique hotel centrally located in WEHO .

This is a superb choice for a boutique hotel and I believe offers great value.

Without a doubt one of the best boutique hotel experiences ever!

Great boutique hotel with lovely rooftop pool.

While large, big name hotels provide comfort, this boutique hotel is scaled down and is a much more personable place.

Fell in love with this cute, boutique hotel from the moment I stepped foot on the property.

Cafe / restaurant in lobby has excellent service and high quality food and while expensive vs non hotel restaurants is probably about average price for hotel restaurants.

If there was anything negative I could find it would be that one of the 2 rooms we have booked is super dark with no natural light so avoid that end of hotel down the side of building plus the other negative is $60 parking fee

The next day, the hotel manager called us to apologize for the problem and offered to move us to a significantly larger room (with a full living room and a separate bedroom) at the same price as our current room!

After finding the house rented was dirty and infested with cockroaches at midnight on my first night in LA I am searching for a West Hollywood hotels in my price point close by.

but all of the hotels have expensive parking so you really need to figure that into your costs.

Be mindful these prices include no room service unless you request it!

To detract from that, a nightly resort fee is charged which seems exorbitant given the size of the hotel and limited inclusions.

I wouldn't stay here again if the the room was free and I was paid!

Parking is expensive at $45 a day for valet-

The only issue I had was the overnight parking fee of 45 dollars

but didn’t realized “continental” breakfast is just a small croissant/muffin and a tiny cup of dice of fruits, everything else on menu are to pay.

but the parking and amenity fees, along with the noisiness of the room above us is why I rated it 4 stars.

The breakfast and dinner room service options were also subpar and overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food you get.

The prices they charge for food and drinks is a complete rip off ! !

The only downside is that the parking is filthy expensive.

I did feel that staying at the hotel was quite expensive and there was no option for self parking just valet at a $45 dollar per night cost which added onto the hotel price and additional taxes was very high.

however, because of the automatic 25% gratuity fee, the proceeds of which the employees never actually see, is imposed.

This time weather encouraged use of roof top pool, Fabulous  sunbeds, umbrellas, great views and bar.Cold water and  sunscreen supplied.

Rooftop pool has a cool vibe and gym / fitness area impressive for a hotel if this size.

Check in and access to the rooftop pool was seamless and the cabana was excellent.

Rooftop pool is a beauty - great place for the kids and adults to relax under the warm Californian Sun.

Great location, gorgeous suites, fabulous rooftop pool and very reasonable rates.

Rooms are great suite-types, as is the rooftop pool.

Don’t miss the beautiful rooftop pool with the cutest, friendliest bartender in town, or the delicious breakfast in the restaurant.

The rooftop pool also has a bar and 360 degree views of the city and you can see as far out as downtown LA.

The next best thing about the Chamberlain is the rooftop pool!

Hotel is presented beautifully and the rooms are xtra large , with  defined sleeping /sitting areas.

Excellent rooms , very spacious and clean , Ramesh on reception was excellent, very helpful and courteous and professional.

The two rooms we had for our family were a good size and very comfortable.

The room was beautiful (and I’m sure we just had what was left at midnight) Breakfast was great.

but with a nice relaxed and soft feel and they are very big rooms.

Large rooms; safe location; great service by staff; family friendly would highly recommend anyone staying in Los Angeles to stay at the Chamberlain we loved our stay.

The rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable and ideal for short or long stays.

Housekeeping always kept our room and the building in great shape.

Room was great, amenities, location. A++.

The room was too and included a comfy king bed, huge tv and a fireplace.

The room is spacious, very clean, roof top has a great view, and the bar and restaurant downstairs has friendly staff.

Claudia put us in a beautiful room big enough to fit friends and family!

And the carpets need cleaning because there was this old smell throughout.

One of the two lifts was out of order the entire stay, the fly wire screen on the balcony door was constantly jammed and eventually came off the rails and the bathroom had a musty/sewerage smell at times.

Soiled linen was left in the bathroom, the floors were not clean, and the light switches had visable grime on them. Disgusting.

The only criticism we had was while in the non smoking pool area with our 17 year old daughter, a girl smoking a joint was ignored by a staff member who came to deliver food to another hotel customer.

Somehow the hotel didn't match up to all the reviews - some areas smelled heavily of smoke and felt a bit run down.

but what makes this hotel not a place to recommend is that the room had a weird smell, the bathroom wasn’t clean 2 out of 4 times.

The hotel did not look like a hotel or smell like a hotel.

In addition, the stainless steel stand that supports the sink and counter in the bathroom is very badly rusted and the aluminum window frames are corroded and the window sills full of dirt and debris, indicating that management has not been investing in keeping the property in the condition you would expect for a hotel in this price range.

The 4th floor had an unattractive Oder right away off of the elevator and the room smelled worse.

though was that my room smelled terrible--musty.

The room had a smell - like an old musty smell in which I had to turn the super loud aircon on and open the balcony door.

It's as if they're ignoring the little scrapes and scuffs, smells and issues.

As mentioned in other reviews there is a strong smell on floors two and three.

Going up to the room we found out that the hotel has a very strong bad smell in the hotel

In the room the wallpaper is peeling and there is a smell of an old folks home!

A lot of negative reviews on here mention a smell - we couldn't smell anything.

The smell the main turn off, disgusting when you have to spend time on our honeymoon for a week smelling that with no explanation!

Being from NYC, I didn’t know that was a thing and so I had to be exposed to do that horrible smell for so many days.

A short walk to Trader Joe's, Starbucks and CVS.

with a Trader Joe's just a short walk from the hotel along with numerous restaurants close by.

There is a Trader Joe's and Starbucks down the block and many restaurants and bars on Santa Monica within easy walking distance.

Also close to Trader Joe’s and other spots to stock up on snacks wine etc as hotel price wine and snacks can run high.

Emilio our doorman pointed us in the direction of Trader Joe’s so we could pick up a few treats and upon returning back to our spacious digs we met Lily our housekeeper who was more than amenable to offer us a few more coffee products.

It was walking distance to the gay bars, Starbucks, Trader Joe's, the gyms, and shopping.

Location is also perfect everything you might need is 2 seconds walking distance: food places, Trader Joe's (literally one second walk), CVS pharmacy, dry cleaner, beauty places (both nails and massage). If you look for a boutique hotel with great service and quiet (away from the tourist craziness

2-3minute walk to Trader Joe's, 24 Kitchen, Starbucks, Wells Fargo.. 10 min walk to nightlife and more!

The Chamberlain is tucked away in a residential neighborhood within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping and even a Trader Joe's!

I really like this hotel it's in a great location in West Hollywood right near Trader Joe's so you can go and buy water and snacks that are reasonable.

Trader Joe's is just down the street-a minute away, Starbucks as well.

Up the street from a Starbucks, Trader Joe's and a 24 Hour Fitness.

but also there is a Trader Joe's and Starbucks a two minute walk away.

There is a supermarket (called Trader Joe's) about 2 minutes walk south down Westmount Drive, if you need a snack, fresh fruit or drinks.

It was also a 2 min walk to Santa Monica  Boulevard, where we could get take away like Subway and also food shop at a little super market called Trader Joe's.

but less than 3 minute walk to a Starbucks and a Trader Joe's and a CVS and lots of restaurants and bars!

There's even a trader joe's right down the street!

It is located on quiet street with easy access to major happening streets & my husband was happy to see Trader Joe's close by.

The rooftop pool and complimentary buffet breakfast were great bonuses.

The hotel has an amazing rooftop pool with great views of LA, and everything about it was great.

Great vibe in the bar and restaurant, and excellent relaxed scene at the rooftop pool deck.

The roof top pool is a major plus…it’s definitely one of the larger roof top pools in LA.

The hotel is very nice and the rooftop pool is the best feature.

The rooms are very large in size and the view from balcony was of all Los Angeles.

On the positive side, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, the room service breakfast was great, and the room overall was comfortable.

The room was incredibly spacious and clean with a great view.

For me, it's truly a home away from home, with the friendly staff, the spacious rooms, the marvelous pool area and the great dining and bar experience.

Our room was spacious and the bathroom was especially luxurious - the biggest tub I've ever seen!

The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, the balconies are entertaining for views and people watching (the balcony I had this year was directly over the street), and the pool is amazing!

The rooms are amazing, the staff are extremely friendly and outgoing, all accommodations were above and beyond.

I love the location, spacious room and service.

I coordinated for a few rooms and pool party for 35ppl.

And once, when the shower was not in use, water backed up through the drain (from another shower somewhere else in the hotel, apparently) and covered the shower floor. Disgusting!

Everything would have been perfect if someone didn’t smoke pot and cigarettes on my floor or near my floor late at night on both nights.

The room smelled of an old, very old, musty motel.

2nd room - there were people smoking an insane amount of weed - so much so that it was really intense outside our door.

Too bad some guests ruin it by breaking the no smoking rule (as the smoke travels up into other peoples balconies and rooms).

So, from our point of view, this hotel should be enforcing its own rules towards their customers… the smell is present also in the hallways, so everybody knows.

Also while Our room smelled fine some nights our hallway smelled like Snoop Dog and Willy Nelson were holding a conference on our floor, serious contact buzz!

The rooms could use a deep cleaning (the bathrooms were dusty and the grout was disgusting).

The tap water was icky and I didn't see any water service in the lobby.

The sheets had stains (nasty ones), the room fridge hadn’t been cleaned for ages (it had milk and other residual food in it), the shower made a mess in the bathroom, etc.

The the hotel smelled like burning dinosaurs.

Huge unsightly gap that I am quite sure there is all sorts of hair, debris and whatever else is left behind from the previous user. When I asked for the manager by the young man at the front desk, his response? "

Slight mold smell as we entered the room .

Hotel smells of weed and is full of dodgy old men with their 18 year old rent boys.

The only problem I had was my room smelled of smoke

We went a la carte instead and had terrible service and an eggs florentine that was undercooked and pretty disgusting.

We also came back to our room later in the day on several occasions to find multiple cigarette

room is worse, like being in an ashtray. why?

My experience was so pleasant from the easy check in, to the valet helping my mom assist me out of the car after surgery.

Service,food, experience and cleanliness.

but Norton's exceptional service and attention to detail truly made my experience unforgettable.

Our wedding was so smooth and all of our guests raved about their experience and the beauty of the hotel.

Difficult to fault my experience at this beautiful hotel.

It is hard to critique another flawless amazing experience at the London.

You will enjoy every aspect of your stay.

The rooms are very spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathroom  was a fabulous experience.

Staying at the London for a few days is a wonderful, almost dreamlike experience. However.

My husband had a red carpet-event, and I just wanted a good experience.

it is truly a hushed, warm experience and the valets keep things moving perfectly.

The rooms are clean and spacious, the service across the board is friendly and excellent, the breakfast buffet is terrific, and the check-in and check-out process was the fastest I have experienced.

Too often hotels in this price range under deliver, the london provides a great experience without feeling pretentious.

We stayed 2 nights and had a fantastic experience.

This hotel is a 5* experience and worth the money.

Second, we had lunch at the bar in the lounge.

The bar area had a great atmosphere, and our server was nice.

The bar is a lovely place for a quick drink at the end of the day.

The bar inside the hotel is a very layed back atmosphere.

We had drinks and a light meal at the bar.

Alesandra in the bar served us dinner — super attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was all outstanding (burger is amazing btw).

Pool area is wonderful , amazing views on roof top , nice bar area for a drink after day of sightseeing and maybe a celebrity or 2 we had the pleasure of Margot Robbie and Geoffrey Rush in the bar for a while so being from Australia that was a great thrill too add to a great stay and experience .

The staff was all really great and I found myself enjoying sitting at the bar for a change.

The bar staff was on point with recommendations.

The hotel has had so me refurbishments since I was last here mainly to the bar and restaurant.

The best part about my stay was the top notch customer service at the bar.

From checking in with Michael to Kevin at the bar and Deborah, April, Robert, Thomas and Michel at the morning buffet, it is all good!

Have stayed here a few times before - great to see the changes in the bar and around the pool area.

I also liked the bar where it was comfortable to watch the Warriors game, and the food was good and the waitress very nice.

Breakfast was amazing as well as the bar snacks.

I can't say enough good things about the staff at the bar and those walking around the pool checking on everyone.

Great meeting place too, the bar, great to linger in either just for a drink or lovely bar food.

The pool was heated and surrounded by flowers, lovely patios and terraces reminiscent of an Italian Villa.

The front desk was very welcoming and helpful and there is a gorgeous view of beautiful flowers and plants by the pool.

The property is covered with beautiful flowers and has a gorgeous pool.

The pool is beautiful and the flowers make for a great relaxing experience.

Our room was lovely, very big with two beds (which were very comfy indeed) a kitchenette and it overlooked the beautiful pool area which was surrounded with gorgeous pink flowers.

Swimming pool is superb, with flowers all around, very pleasant experience.

The patio with swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers and is a relatively quiet place in this loud and busy city.

The pool area is absolutely spectacular with beautiful flowers all around and everything was so convenient.

Trees and flowers surrounding the courtyard pool area made hanging out poolside each day very appealing.

I loved opening the window and smelling the beautiful flowers that surrounded our windows!

If you find yourself just wanting to relax for an afternoon in the hotel that is no problem because they have a private swimming pool which is surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants (it doesn’t  feel like sitting around a hotel pool in the middle of LA).
