The lack of elevator would have been a problem had we not have been able to move to the ground floor (you still need to climb a few steps)

If you are having a heavy luggage there is no way for you to lift it up through the stairs.

These rooms are carpeted, they have no fridge and no lift.

The 2 things I didn't like was that there was no elevator, so hauling your bags upstairs was not fun.

Danielle at reception went out of her way to find us a ground floor room, please note that this hotel does not have an elevator.

Negatives: No elevator (at least on our building).

Only thing to note - there is no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage you'll have to carry it up the stairs yourself or ask for help.

Cons:

If you have a lot of luggage be aware there is no elevator and ask for help.

Also, I couldn't find an elevator in any of the buildings,

but a bit small--Room 106 ground floor (we asked for it as they do not have an elevator); however, the have staff bring your luggage upstairs.

He told us there is no elevator, so if we had a lot of luggage he could call someone.

We were upstairs and they have no lift which is a problem when you have 2 large suitcases

It was quiet and clean, and had ample storage, a separate kitchenette, a comfortable bed, free parking, was within walking-distance Trader's Joe, had a coffee maker with free ground, a coffee, included a refrigerator, a microwave, a magnifying-lighted make-up mirror, a hairdryer, a lockable safe (but too small for my 17" computer).

Clean, quiet, free parking, warm breakfast, safe area, close to freeway and grocery stores.

Friendly and helpful staff, great location and clean hotel with free parking.

The room rates are very fair and parking is free.

The benefits of staying here were free parking, a pretty courtyard and a generous continental breakfast, our room was horrible.

The noisy conversation continued for about another 20 minutes.

It can be a little noisy with the street traffic so bring a white noise machine if you are a light sleeper.

We did use earplugs to sleep as the traffic from the road outside was rather loud.

If you get a room near the street, it can be a bit noisy.

Took stars as employees loud during posted quiet hours, had to ask for wifi password & heater never turned off

We could not sleep first night because of car noise coming from outside.

Since our room was near the main street it was really noisy.

I wear earplugs at night and never noticed.

The noise of other guests arriving and departing can be slightly intrusive at busy times and the car park can be tricky to enter and exit.

The main road is quite noisy in the morning

but rooms are small and you can hear the people on the floor above you.

Noisy from the traffic on Pico and the gate.

Literally the only downside to the place is that it's only a block or two from Interstate 10 so there is some constant low level traffic noise.

Every time someone comes in and out the you hear it slam shut!

I am not sure that I would've preferred to have stayed at the beach hotels given the noise, traffic, partying, and craziness of the pier.

The only reason I'm giving this hotel a "very good" rating and not an "excellent" rating is because other guests didn't seem to be very respectful of what I would consider quiet hours.

The rooms were clean and the little kitchenette was perfect.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable and temperature of AC was easy and comfortable.

Amazing location right down the road from the pier and beaches, plenty of parking, a Trader Joe's, restaurants, and major roads 10 and 405.

The best thing is that there is a Trader’s Joe 1 block away.

It was 5 minutes from our family reunion with a trader Joe's nearby.

Many great eating places nearby, and a Trader Joe's next door east if you want to get wine and snacks.

The hotel is in a great neighborhood- we really enjoyed walking around and there's even Trader Joe's nearby.

The large room with a kitchenette and a Trader Joe's grocery store across the street was great.

There is a nice Trader Joe's right next door.

Here you are near Santa Monica, there's a Trader Joe's right next door and the complimentary breakfast offerings were great!

The grocer Trader Joe’s is just next door as is another option for buying adult beverages.

Close to UCLA oncology center in Santa Monica.

Location driveable convenient to UCLA, shopping, beach, eateries.

I stayed here just one night before a visit to UCLA and it was ideal for that purpose.

Back in L.A for the first time in a long time this Hotel location is only a couple miles from airport and they do have airport shuttle, staff was very accommodating.

Onlu helpful folks were the Airport shuttle driver, and Mr. Lee front desk supervisor.

It’s clean and handy to the airport, Carlos , the airport shuttle bus driver is a great asset to the hotel and is very helpful and polite.

The hotel isn't far from the LAX airport and the shuttle service was great.

Their shuttle to the airport starts as early as 4:30 AM every half hour.

While checking out I had expressed that I would like to be on the next shuttle to the airport, and was instructed to wait in the lobby for them to arrive.

The hotel was hosting a dance competition for girls from all over- went to see my granddaughter- needed a fridge for meds in my room and they wanted to charge me $25 one time fee

Do not feel this is appropriate for a supposedly upscale hotel

She came back pissed coz it turns out you needed a key card to use their restroom.

but 20 bucks with only a 10 dollar credit for something hot.

When I asked about the shuttle times the agent noted that i could use my breakfast credit at the bar or for dinner.

In the parking lot, there are tiny signs that you can only see if you look closely indicating a $18 per day charge for parking.

I would have given it a 5th star rating if it wasn't for a last minute surprise charge for parking fee.

For the $180 a nite plus daily charge, you may want to consider a non-Hilton property while staying by LAX, and believe me there are better choices.

Why have a reservation, digital check in and have a card on file to charge if your not going to hold the room size or bed count that was reserved?

The business end was a little confusing as they put two charges on my card that they couldn't describe.

The recently started charging $18 for parking regardless of honors status which is really Nickle and Diming their best customers.

but today is not working. We can call you a taxi"
- "The hotel will be responsible to cover the charge since is not providing the shuttle service?"

Also charged me $4 For two bottles of water that I did not drink.

but began charging me for parking the following day.

They WERE NOT NICE about it and ended up charging us full price NO SHOW!

When I reviewed my charges on my credit card not on my Hilton statement there were $4 extra charged.

(if I managed a hotel near LAX I would definitely have 24 hour shuttle service!)

The area was close to many restaurants and activities, loved how close it was to LAX.

We needed a place near LAX and Budget car rental and based on the reviews, decided to book here.

The rates are usually pretty reasonable for the area, especially if you need to stay near LAX.

The Room was ready.. Hotel staff were very professional and the breakfast hot and delicious I would definitely stay here again should I traveled through or near LAX..

This particular property was chosen last minute because of proximity to LAX and available reward points rooms for the weekend.

Arriving at 11:30 I was excited to call to get the shuttle service, I was informed that, the dispatch closed at 11:30.

The people on the phone did not seem to care.

Although we had difficulty understanding each other on the telephone, the shuttle arrived 15 - 20 minutes after we had called and we were the only people on the shuttle.

I told them that we were checking out and one of the agents sat there on his phone not even bothering to look up.

but after many stays over the last 20 years we’re calling it quits.

Reception personnel seem to be uninterested in anything other than their phones.

And i was waiting my degital key to show up in my phone, i still didnt get it .

but the line was long and the solo make staff member was to involved with a phone call with someone that sounded like they were at the airport.

but did not offer any compensation for the 10usd call we had to make.

Only one desk agent not enough to handle check in and answer phone for shuttle pick ups.

To top it all off, I was overcharged by $20 and had to call Hilton 3 times to get the charged fixed.

Took a long time (over 30 mins) to get shuttle to hotel because we weren’t advised we had to ring to request - the Hilton LAX passed by on constant loop twice while we waited.

The Hilton app wasn’t working when we tried to check in on my phone so we had to go inside.

Requested a 3:30am wake up call and desk clerk stated that he would arrange a cab for a 4:00am pickup!

but she insisted to call me over to check me in and in between checking me in, went back and forth helping her co-worker.

The front desk manager was not friendly and very rude to me and other guests I overheard and rude to guests on the phone.

This information is not explained when one calls in for a room rate, the parking fee and occupancy charge together was 30% of the room rental.

Probably should have known this was not going to be a great hotel experience when then hotel pickup took 45 minutes an 3 phone calls.

We call front desk and they swear there’s no construction going on.

Overall room was clean and common areas were clean.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooms were spotlessly clean.

We just chose it for proximity to the airport and the fact it had a shuttle.

Could’ve used a waffle location is close to the airport. .

Proximity to the airport is convenient if flying in and out of the LA area.

First the good:

If all you need it’s a place to sleep and close to the airport.

The location of the hotel is super close to the airport.

I like the location as it is close to the airport for anyone who is in transit and next to the freeway.
