4) The AC Unit in the room was really loud - even when on the lowest setting.

Not sure I'm totally a fan of this during Covid,

The AC unit was SO loud (and this from someone that actually brings a fan to every hotel because I want some sound).

The wall mounted air conditioner was too loud to sleep and the traffic with sirens were problematic.

We stayed for several days and the bathroom is in dire need of ventilation.

Air conditioning unit was extremely loud.

The filters inside the air conditioner had not been cleaned also.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not generally much of a fan of the Courtyard by Marriott properties as a general rule--to me they're most often cookie-cutter mid-range places with little to nothing memorable or distinguishable from one to another.

have a noisy in room AC and the bedding is mediocre at best.

but the heating and cooling system was poor.

It kept freezing up, which was a huge bummer and negative because my kids could not watch TV unless they were in the bedroom area of the room.

The air vent in the room seen below is in much need of a cleaning.

Also there is no air vent it the restroom so it gets hot and steamy fast.

I was not a huge fan of the transition from the more traditional hotel restaurant/bar lounge arrangement to the current Bistro order counter concept.

I had to turn on the room window fan to provide some white noise.

The rooms have those noisy built-in wall units for heat and a/c, which would concern me in summer,

Incredibly loud HVAC units -so loud we could not hear the television when it was on.

While we were put in a new room, the shower did not work correctly so we ended up with a cold shower the first night.

but very basic and the sink area was squeezed in next to the closet with barely any space for toiletries.

The bathroom has the traditional split of the Tub and Toilet in one room, and the sink and room closet in the anteroom near the entrance.

Arrived at room, bathroom floor had not been cleaned properly and had many pubic hairs and stains on it, toilet had a feces stain and there were yellow stains on the bathroom walls and door, there was a long black hair in the sink.

So I'm supposed to move it from the shower to the sink if I want to use soap?

Secondly, the furniture is worn and stained, the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was coming out of the wall as well as the tiles around the bathroom flooring.

After using the shower, droplets form on the ceiling.

shower would not shut off two days in a row.

The tub and the walls in the bathroom had stains.

My bathroom door was so warped; it didn't close, and the entry door had to slammed in order to lock.

Stains on carpeting, scrapes and dings in side table, broken closet door and the faucet sink which was completely corroded was on the verge of breaking off every time we used it.

There was toothpaste from the prior guest that was still in the sink, and desk had large chunks of wood missing.

The bathroom fixtures seemed relatively low quality and in need of refreshing, including the toilet, which generally would continue running when flushed until the handle was jiggled repeatedly to find just the right positioning.

The parking garage is very dirty and overpriced at $19.00/day,
 the guest rooms are too small and the bathroom facilities need an upgrade.

To top it off our toilet overflowed our last day.

This hotel was perfectly situated in old Pasadena and close to many restaurants and shopping.

Great walking location to restaurants and shopping in Old Pasadena.

Location was great; close access to freeway, close to Old Pasadena and able to walk to a variety of restaurants, shops and a movie theater nearby.

the courtyard marriott los angeles/old pasadena is nice and convenient place to stay at when i attend the matrix training there.

We chose this place as it was central to Old Pasadena town and everything was within walking distance.

This hotel is in old Pasadena nicely located for business and leisure.

Old Pasadena has lots to do and a great many very nice restaurants.

The location allowed for easy walking around Old Pasadena and Colorado Avenue with a lot of night spots.

The location is convenient if you want to be walking distance to Old Pasadena and a short driving distance to the Rose Bowl.

This Courtyard was a great location for exploring Old Pasadena, the Rose Bowl and the parade route for the Tournament of Roses parade.

The stay was great - room was clean and more importantly quiet.

In town for one night and was impressed with the speed of check in, proximity of parking garage to our room and the overall cleanliness.

We were here for a night and it was very nice, the room was clean and very quiet.

Quick check in, clean rooms (this one seems to be more spacious than others), comfy bed, great water pressure.

The Courtyard Marriott was convenient and easy to access off the highway and to Old Town and The Rose Bowl Market .

Just a warning - Fall is football season and it was overrun with Fresno state & UCLA (their home Field is the Rose Bowl) fans .

We'd definitely stay here again for events at the Rose Bowl.

Also if someone else was in the elevator did I need to swipe mine too.

They were doing a little construction to the first floor and there was an issue with one of the elevators.

While we were there (Sept 2019) - the 2nd floor area near elevator had two burned our bulbs and the outside Christmas type lights had six burned out bulbs.

Park in the garage under the building, unload your luggage there and then take the elevator to the lobby to check-in.

Elevators are tucked into small nooks around the corner in hallways.

Their second garage is around the corner without direct access to the lobby without taking an elevator.

The elevator next to the front desk is the busiest and longest wait.

although it seems ridiculous to have to swipe your key to go down in the elevator.

Beds were comfortable and swivel tv mount was a plus.Now the bad..Breakfast was not the greatest.Foods had a weird taste and texture (eggs,potatoes,bacon,etc) The elevators were down 3x and once an employee was in one :/ .The pool is super small.Any more than 5-6 people and it was over crowded.

The modern lifts in the building were causing confusion for some quests due the room card sensor etc.

There are 2 elevators on opposite sides of the hotel.

One of the elevators was out of order and slow to operate.

Elevators can only be accessed with a room key keeping it safe for guests.

35 minutes later she finally got us in our room after I urged her to check the availability again and threatened to head up the elevator and clean the room myself.

The elevator is inadequate for the size of the hotel, which produces long waits.

The hotel was undergoing some construction when I was there so some delays with elevators and some construction noise.

I was not prepared to walk through a construction zone once I exited the elevator.

The pros of staying at this hotel is its location (very near Glendale Galleria and Americana), room cleanliness and the complimentary continental breakfast.

It was close to the 5 and convenient to everywhere we went, Griffith Observatory, Paramount Studios, Rodeo Drive, The Grove & Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

We were close to Griffith park and the Ford theater where we attended a show.

Sites relatively close to the hotel include Griffith Park and Observatory, LA Zoo, and Warner Brother's Studios (where Ellen is filmed).

This property was close to Hollywood, Griffith Park, and downtown LA.

Glendale was cheaper than staying in Hollywood and it was possible to Uber to Hollywood/Warner Bros/Griffith Park/universal etc.

Very close to drive to the Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory and Universal studios.

We were very close to Griffith Park, Universal City and the Dodgers stadium.

The location is excellent for visiting Griffith Park and Universal Studios.

Griffith Park Observatory is about 15 mins away as well.

Speaking of which, outside noise wasn’t bad, save the few times we heard sirens.

There was a lot of noise from the street at certain times.

No attempt has been made to minimize the sound or even block out the light completely.

Bad side is you're in front of the street and noise is unacceptable specially when fire or emergency siren pass by.

At night, we can hear footsteps from our room above and in the morning, we would be awakened by the garbage truck getting the hotel’s trash.

but it was noisy outside with all the cars (some extra loud) riding by
-Strip mall next door seemed a bit seedy
-Hallway had an odd smell the entire time we were there
-Door to room didn't close unless you pushed it, luckily we noticed right away or someone could have easily come in
-There was a metal gate that came down as well as an arm for the parking garage.

Since this is on a busy road, you will hear mufflers, emergency vehicles, etc.

If we can agree that sleep should be the number one priority of any hotel then this place is not for you, or anyone, who has not had military training to sleep through combat or does not find the soothing sounds of NASCAR racing a  lullaby.

For those of you that cannot sleep through loud noises that are just outside your window, you will want to avoid this hotel.

Bad location, very noisy, parking is hard to get to unless you know where to turn.

Upon entering the room, we were greeted with a very loud, sawing/grinding noise.

The room was very noisy (poor sound insulation) as the hotel is located on a busy street.

My only complaint is that I could hear the door slams when the other guest was leaving there rooms.

but lots of traffic congestion on main busy street.

There is also noise from footsteps in rooms overhead and in adjacent rooms.

It's only about 20- 25 min away as long as you don't hit traffic.

And it was very noisy outside during the night, not sure what.

We also enjoyed walking through there; the hotel is within walking distance from the beautiful City Hall as well as lots of dining and shopping options.

The wedding was held nearby at city hall so we walked over there with Suki in tow.

The hotel is on a big block with an interior courtyard that is adjacent to the impressive city hall dome.

Room #839 this time, with a nice view of the Pasadena City Hall.

After around 8pm, City Hall lights up and offers a great view.

@ An Asian Museum and City Hall are close.We were in for the CrueleFest concert at the Rose-bowl.

The best part about this hotel is its location, which is across the street from city hall and walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

The property is very convenient to the scenic City Hall area and there's a service station (AM/PM) nearby .

The City Hall at night is also a great attraction.

but all was quiet by 10pm
Hotel is close walking to old downtown, and cutting through city hall makes quick work of it, too.

I booked as a Marriott Bonvoy and was given a room away from the elevators facing the back of the hotel and Pasadena City Hall (I believe).

Well maintained and good service, nice in house restaurant and adjoining the entire City Hall complex with restaurants and bar.

The pool and hot tub provide incredible views of the city hall and downtown area.

There are a lot of historical buildings in the area such as the city hall building and a couple of churches all of which are very close by.

The hotel is clean, updated, and the pool overlooks Pasadena City Hall.

The hotel had a beautiful outdoor eating area and gardens, and we were right next to the beautiful Pasadena City Hall.

We had a nice view of mission like city hall.

The view of City Hall is absolutely outstanding, and the outline of City Hall on the blinds was such a charming touch.

They triple charged me for one valet service.

We were charged twice for the same night.

If you like dirty rooms, unexpected construction, and being charged an extra $300 above what’s on your receipt - this is the hotel for you.

It's a ChargePoint charger so it's slow and about $1 per hour to charge.

I had to call three times to get the charges to my family reversed, because they claimed it was taken care of when it wasn't.

Also was emphatic that NO ONE would let me in without an actual plastic card.

A couple of days after checking into the rooms, I noticed there was a charge on my credit card for $247.

Would never stay here again and working on disputing the charges to get funds back.
