It's central to all of the amazing restaurants and nightlife in West Hollywood and less than 15 minutes to Beverly Hills, Melrose, etc.

The Chamberlain is in a great location with so many surrounding restaurants and activities.

Both nights we were recommended fabulous local venues for dinner and after checking out, the staff came to my rescue when I realised I left my passport in my room safe,

The Chamberlain is a real gem tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet close to LA’s best shopping, dining and nightlife.

I like the restaurants and the nightlife.

Although we had planned a day of activities and restaurants in our own hometown, everything went out the window once we got to the super relaxing chamberlain and spent our entire time in the room or by the pool ordering room service (amazing flatbreads).

Location

On first glance the location is fabulous, located minutes away from Melrose Avenue & Beverly Hills, a short taxi ride from Central Hollywood and Universal studios, and set within one of the most hip districts for up and coming restaurants and nightlife.

Within walking distance of grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants and nightlife.

but yet so close to Santa Monica Blvd and the Sunset Strip for restaurant and nightlife.

This is a boutique apartment hotel in a residential area so the location is good because it is very quiet.

I would say that you would call this place a boutique hotel.

Small boutique hotel with excellent location in a residential area, Intimate interior spaces (bar and outdoor patio dining) with fabulous private cabanas on the rooftop pool deck.. Suites were huge and beautifully appointed.

For its location the price is ok.

I have know of chamberlain for a number of years - they are a boutique hotel centrally located in WEHO .

This is a superb choice for a boutique hotel and I believe offers great value.

Without a doubt one of the best boutique hotel experiences ever!

Great boutique hotel with lovely rooftop pool.

Cafe / restaurant in lobby has excellent service and high quality food and while expensive vs non hotel restaurants is probably about average price for hotel restaurants.

but food and beverage was a little pricey.

If there was anything negative I could find it would be that one of the 2 rooms we have booked is super dark with no natural light so avoid that end of hotel down the side of building plus the other negative is $60 parking fee

We also stayed at another hotel a  kilometre away and our stay there was terrible - so in future we will book the Chamberlain as it is a quality hotel for a reasonable price.

The next day, the hotel manager called us to apologize for the problem and offered to move us to a significantly larger room (with a full living room and a separate bedroom) at the same price as our current room!

It was their opportunity to wave the fee, they didn't take it.

The prices were Insane and you know it is because of the credits

but all of the hotels have expensive parking so you really need to figure that into your costs.

Be mindful these prices include no room service unless you request it!

To detract from that, a nightly resort fee is charged which seems exorbitant given the size of the hotel and limited inclusions.

Upon arrival, we learned that the $48.00 per night  fee means you park your own car into the garage and drive it out yourself.

I wouldn't stay here again if the the room was free and I was paid!

but this one definitely didn't rate as a memorable experience.

You can either pay the bill separately or ask to charge to your room.

This time weather encouraged use of roof top pool, Fabulous  sunbeds, umbrellas, great views and bar.Cold water and  sunscreen supplied.

Rooftop pool has a cool vibe and gym / fitness area impressive for a hotel if this size.

Check in and access to the rooftop pool was seamless and the cabana was excellent.

There was a bar and restaurant as well as a rooftop pool.

Rooftop pool is a beauty - great place for the kids and adults to relax under the warm Californian Sun.

Rooms are great suite-types, as is the rooftop pool.

The rooftop pool and bar had great views of LA.

Don’t miss the beautiful rooftop pool with the cutest, friendliest bartender in town, or the delicious breakfast in the restaurant.

The rooftop pool also has a bar and 360 degree views of the city and you can see as far out as downtown LA.

The next best thing about the Chamberlain is the rooftop pool!

And the carpets need cleaning because there was this old smell throughout.

One of the two lifts was out of order the entire stay, the fly wire screen on the balcony door was constantly jammed and eventually came off the rails and the bathroom had a musty/sewerage smell at times.

Soiled linen was left in the bathroom, the floors were not clean, and the light switches had visable grime on them. Disgusting.

The only criticism we had was while in the non smoking pool area with our 17 year old daughter, a girl smoking a joint was ignored by a staff member who came to deliver food to another hotel customer.

If you’re into smoking whatever you want, poor phone reception and a tone deaf staff, you’ve found the right hotel.

Somehow the hotel didn't match up to all the reviews - some areas smelled heavily of smoke and felt a bit run down.

but what makes this hotel not a place to recommend is that the room had a weird smell, the bathroom wasn’t clean 2 out of 4 times.

The hotel did not look like a hotel or smell like a hotel.

The only downside is that the parking is filthy expensive.

In addition, the stainless steel stand that supports the sink and counter in the bathroom is very badly rusted and the aluminum window frames are corroded and the window sills full of dirt and debris, indicating that management has not been investing in keeping the property in the condition you would expect for a hotel in this price range.

The 4th floor had an unattractive Oder right away off of the elevator and the room smelled worse.

The room had a smell - like an old musty smell in which I had to turn the super loud aircon on and open the balcony door.

It's as if they're ignoring the little scrapes and scuffs, smells and issues.

As mentioned in other reviews there is a strong smell on floors two and three.

Going up to the room we found out that the hotel has a very strong bad smell in the hotel

Rusty railings, worn paint, filthy sunbed curtains.

They moved me to another room which smelled like cigarette smoke.

A lot of negative reviews on here mention a smell - we couldn't smell anything.

Trader Joe's is just down on the corner as well as Starbucks.

A short walk to Trader Joe's, Starbucks and CVS.

with a Trader Joe's just a short walk from the hotel along with numerous restaurants close by.

There is a Trader Joe's and Starbucks down the block and many restaurants and bars on Santa Monica within easy walking distance.

Also close to Trader Joe’s and other spots to stock up on snacks wine etc as hotel price wine and snacks can run high.

but a short stroll to Trader Joe’s and Santa Monica Blvd.

Emilio our doorman pointed us in the direction of Trader Joe’s so we could pick up a few treats and upon returning back to our spacious digs we met Lily our housekeeper who was more than amenable to offer us a few more coffee products.

Starbucks and Trader Joe's are a few minutes walking distance from the hotel, an added bonus!

There’s even a Trader Joe’s nearby for my longer trips.

It was walking distance to the gay bars, Starbucks, Trader Joe's, the gyms, and shopping.

Location is also perfect everything you might need is 2 seconds walking distance: food places, Trader Joe's (literally one second walk), CVS pharmacy, dry cleaner, beauty places (both nails and massage). If you look for a boutique hotel with great service and quiet (away from the tourist craziness

I really like this hotel it's in a great location in West Hollywood right near Trader Joe's so you can go and buy water and snacks that are reasonable.

Neither can the pool and Marco Polo restaurant.

Marco Polo restaurant does a great room-service breakfast and all-day dining an interesting and fresh menu.

Close to local grocery store and walking distance to other fun restaurants and activities.

The food in Marco Polo restaurant was really good.

I would recommend dining at the Marco Polo restaurant and grabbing some afternoon Radlers or Aperol Sprits at the pool.

From the exemplary one on one customer service from Brendan the supervisor at the front desk, to Benny and Jay at the Marco Polo restaurant, this was an extraordinary experience we won’t soon forget.

The charming Silver Lake neighborhood is an ideal locale where this hotel is a welcome addition just steps to Sunset Junction where the “hipster’ vibe thrives in cafés, restaurants and nightlife.

Wanted to try the new Marco Polo restaurant at the Silverlake Pool & Inn and it didn’t disappoint.

Oh and our bathroom sink wasn't in our room.

Also couple things I noticed - Could use probably another hook in the bathroom - just to hang towels and also bathrobe
Additionally near the sink - could use a hook for the hand towel did not see one - just a thought for clients stay in future - overall thought of the type of hotel stay was perfect

Bad bed, awkward layout of room (sink in the bedroom, no dresser, low useless chairs) and short bar hours (closed almost every night by 8pm) make this place a pass.

For example, no place to hang used/wet towels; sink in room is closer to the bed than the closed off area which houses the walk-in shower and commode, requiring you to walk out of that room about 20' to the sink area located near the bed.

The tile in the shower was a little slippery.

There are no drawers of any kind to put away one’s belongings — no dresser, no bathroom drawer, no nightstand drawer.

but the rolling barn doors on the bathrooms can be noisy and heard from the rooms above.

but if you have someone trying to sleep and someone trying to do something sink related .

Forget about usable furniture or a shower that keeps the water from spreading out into the rest of the bathroom and then the hall.

The biggest problem was the strange walk-in shower stall.

although kind of odd in that the bathroom wasn’t adjacent to the sink and there was no dresser to un pack your clothes (there was a closet).

however-the seating (while looking great) is very uncomfortable, there is no desk, no true chair, and no luggage rack (I had to put my suitcase on the (utterly charming) (and heavy) stone side table).

As for room for improvement, I wish they had left more toilet paper in the room (there was only one roll).

I could see the Griffith Observatory from my room which was really neat.

There's also a beautiful view of the Griffith observatory and the Hollywood sign.

I've been to Los Angeles dozens of times, and it warmed my heart that my room had a view of one of my favorite places: Griffith Observatory (and the Hollywood sign to boot).

Close to dining, shopping and recreation: Silver Lake reservoir, Griffith Park, and plenty of walking opportunities.

Hiking in Griffith park is a short drive away.

Close drive to places around Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Hollywood, Griffith Park, etc.

We were surprised with some champagne in our room and the room we stayed in was tasteful, homey, and had a beautiful view of Los Angeles, including the Griffith Park Observatory.

A surprising and I must say appreciated room design finds the bed “floated” in the middle of the room (instead of the common position against the wall), facing a panoramic-view window that offered us a front-row seat of the stunning, often not-seen, east-side LA perspective of the Hollywood Hills, Griffith Park Observatory and the Hollywood sign.

The room was $360 dollars with another $100 in micelaneous taxes and add ons.

But when you pay 350-500 a night and want to use the pool and its crowded with no chairs left.

Guests may want to note that the in room bottled water costs $11 though!

Only negative is that valet parking is quite expensive ($49 per day).

but the prices are too high for the cold eggs we had.

A bottle of water from the sparse snacks basket costs $13!

Overnight valet parking is very expensive,

but there's a level of "cheapness" that doesn't fit the price you're paying.

Our only complaint was that the rooms were way over priced.

I couldnt sleep very well paid overn$400 dollars.for rhe room and then was charged another.$50 because i requested late check out. 12Noon.

The hotel is a little snooty and overpriced for the quality of the room.

I encountered a couple minor issues with the room and they resolved them promptly and professionally. The hotel is also conveniently located next to Erewhon Market (which is pricey,

The sticky, poorly applied floor tiles don't help to reduce noise from people walking in all the rooms around you.

Could hear the toilet flushing from other rooms and other guests in the hallway.

but you can hear through the walls a bit.

A lot of light and noise from the street.

Plumbing, road noise and other rooms very loud.

Local traffic on Santa Monica Blvd.is less noisy than in other cities,

It is between two noisy streets so you will hear cars most of the time.

The comfort level of this room was not acceptable people walking by window loud cars parking and driving just outside my window.

The sound proofing was non existent and we could hear people chatting and moving things throughout the night.

Unfortunately, rooms are not very well insulated from noises from other rooms

You can hear everything happening in the hallway--everything.

The weather was cold over the weekend so people avoided the pool which might have caused noise.

The guy who checked us in wasn’t properly wearing a mask, there were guests walking through the hotel without masks on, paid extra for an upgraded room and was given a room immediately off the front desk that was noisy, and there was a lack of social distancing at the pool (I realize this last one is hard to enforce).

Bring earplugs and ask to be on the top floor.

Well located within walking distance to Sunset Junction - a handy spot for good restaurants and Silver Lake reservoir - a pretty spot for walks.

The best Mexican Taco Stand in Los Angeles is just up the street on Sunset, the Tacos Delta.

This new hotel is brilliantly located with in minutes walk to Sunset Junction, where you find fantastic coffee, juice bars, and restaurants.

The smallish pool is heated and you get a nice sunset view.

This is a great new hotel located in the heart of Sunset Junction and the hip Silver Lake neighborhood.

Sebastian had such a positive attitude and gave great recommendations for restaurants and activities to do in the area.

The hotel is also close to some of the best nightlife and restaurants LA has to offer, the iconic The Viper Room is literally one block away.

One block from the Sunset strip and classic venues such as the Whiskey A Go-Go.

Again the staff were on the ball and the food and the surroundings were again quite exceptional.

Location is convienient to restaurants and nightlife.

It was the one place in LA where we did not need taxis, as all the venues like the whiskey, Viper Rooms and Rainbow rooms were within walking distance.

The Hotel is also right on Sunset Boulevard so really well located with many bars, restaurants and venues within walking distance which in LA was a great bonus.

It also has a lot of great restaurants and nightlife close by.

The rooftop pool and complimentary buffet breakfast were great bonuses.

The hotel has an amazing rooftop pool with great views of LA, and everything about it was great.

Great vibe in the bar and restaurant, and excellent relaxed scene at the rooftop pool deck.

The roof top pool is a major plus…it’s definitely one of the larger roof top pools in LA.

And once, when the shower was not in use, water backed up through the drain (from another shower somewhere else in the hotel, apparently) and covered the shower floor. Disgusting!

Everything would have been perfect if someone didn’t smoke pot and cigarettes on my floor or near my floor late at night on both nights.

The room smelled of an old, very old, musty motel.
