NOW FOR THE FRAUD PART- After checking out 2 weeks later i started seeing random charges from this hotel on my card for $30 then a week later another few charges $25 at a time!

but Troy on management would only send a bottle of wine and comp food and beverage charges.

I was charged the full price for the room.

I don't think the hotel's hospitality is at the caliber they're charging.

The billing at checkout was messed up and actually still not resolved.

Another note is that they charge $46 per night for parking, so definitely worth factoring that into your budget as we didn't realise until we got there.

I reported this and, hopefully, won't be charged.

Its the little things that matter, and charging a resort fee for a small bottle of water per day has completely shocked me.

In dispute with them now unfortunately as money has been taken off my credit card over a month after I checked out.

but of course, no one at the front desk seemed to know what money was, so he had to charge the parking on his card, but they wouldn't let him leave a tip on the card.

but the taxi had the card machine not working and didn’t know even the area I was supposed to be in to catch a pre-paid bus to Vegas.

How are they able to charge my credit card without a signature and while I was not there.

We got breakfast, parking, $25pp/day credit and a slightly-upgraded room for $250 (before tax).

They claimed we had ruined the duvet and so attempted to charge us $500 - yes $500 for something we did not do!!

The only drawback was the fees of $39/night charged for the overnight parking.

although the credit was not on my bill, and my bill was $150 more than it should have been that I would not be charged.

We explained that we refused the wine the evening before and asked that she not charge us the exorbitant $39 overnight parking fee, which she indeed dropped.

We asked for some parmesan cheese for our pasta, this took so long it arrived after I had finished eating my pasta – which the waiter clearly saw and did not apologise for – and then oddly we were charged $2 for the cheese which is a first in any restaurant I have been to in the world!

When we arrived at the front desk, the person in charge was talking to another hotel guest and he did not even say "hi" or "i"ll be with you in a minute" very basic stuff, nothing.

I had to ask for help with my bags when I was leaving as I was struggling to carry them down a few stairs and they charged me for the breakfast that they said they would not do.

The hotel has a rooftop pool and hot tub, with spectacular views, up to Sunset Boulevard on one side, and across LA on the other.

The hot tub was hot and the pool was warm.

The hotel was very peaceful, has a pool and a hot tub.

but wonderful and had great ambience at night (hot tub!).

Valet Parking is expensive at around 65$ a day

Parking is tricky because there is no overnight street parking allowed so the only option is to pay fifty four for overnight valet parking.

(Surely the $25 USD per night ‘amenity fee’ could’ve stretched to cover some Nescafé Gold Blend and a kettle ;-))
‘Great’, we thought, ‘the worst is over’, we will avoid the rooftop and park our car in the nearby parking lot to avoid the exorbitant $45USD/day parking.

For example, I had a friend meet me for lunch, and they don't validate parking, so he had to pay $15,

We paid over $330 per night for the room (that does not include parking) and stayed their two nights.

The valet parking is eyewateringly expensive and the only option as the whole area is permit parking only.

It would have been nice to have had a warning of the no parking during the a.m. hours.

Lastly, you are not in NYC and should not be charging almost $40 per night for parking.

Not at the desk, or for ice, or parking valet.

My only negative point is the car parking which comes has a shock as I was not aware.

Charging $36 a day for hotel parking is outrageous.

When you get there, they don't tell you that the parking is 34$ per nigh.

As much as I love spending time on the roof with fur blankets by the fireplace after enjoying the heated pool, the room with its fireplace is equally cozy.

The rooftop pool is a perfect place to relax.

It’s not our first time and definitely won’t be the last.. Petit Ermitage is the perfect setting for afternoon pool time, sunset drinks, enchanting dinners and late night debauchery and definitely didn’t disappoint for a cozy Thanksgiving staycation.

The rooftop - sitting outside, relaxing by the pool, catching some California sun & of course, people watching, is one of my favorite hobbies.

The hotel gives you an activity program at check in with morning yoga sessions by the pool, Don't miss the Toledo Show on Friday night, the show gives u a bohemian burlesque show that makes you feel like you stepped into a modern version of Moulin Rouge.

The pool scene, morning yoga, the hidden rooftop garden for breakfast, lunch and dinner + the rotating evening programming (from curated conversations to cabaret).

Additionally, the morning yoga class by the pool provided a perfect balance of relaxation and rejuvenation.

This is my happy place: sun drenched chest cooling off in the salt water pool; uninhibited conversation with a new friend while sipping a special requested drink from the gracious bartender; the smell of their custom made candle and I am reminded of all the lovely times I've shared at the Petit-thank you. .xo

The staff, the cocktails, the relaxation, on poolside beds and a refreshing salt water pool, in an environment where you can truly be your whole self, makes this one of my favorite staycation spots.

Was looking for a hotel with a good rooftop pool, and this fit the bill perfectly.

Roof deck and pool are lovely and great for relaxing during the day.

but welcoming feel, the pool is perfect temperature (I was able to swim in the middle of November!

Sprawling across multiple levels with dozens of cuddly spots to enjoy the LA weather, a perfect playlist, a heated salt water pool, engaging people everywhere, and a garden restaurant with sumptuous fare.

The pool and lounge area are the best, the drinks are superb, I'd recommend their spicy mescal margarita.

Spent one night here, the pool and rooftop area is 24hrs, cabaret show that day was amazing, and it was an enjoyable stay!

This hotel is great for smokers as you're allowed to smoke freely on the roof terrace and at the pool.

The rooftop pool area was a must - the oversized lounges were just as welcoming as the staff.

A big thank you to Seng for the great conversation, being right on time with the cold water by the pool, which was so refreshing in the 90 degree heat, in addition to the new sprinklers!!

Then enjoyed amazing cocktailes and rose by the pool.

The rooftop terrace with pool was fantastic and had a great crowd and cool vibe.

I paid (tip not included) 45 bucks for a negroni spaliato and a bottle of water.

but we ended up having to leave to make our dinner.. seems petty but these are the minor details you're paying premium for.. 
- Service in general was slow.

Worst service in a restaurant ever had, yet expensive.

We did notice a large number of people by the pool who weren’t staying at the hotel, taking up space from those of us paying to stay there, which was a little annoying, as room rates were not cheap.

The lovely rooftop could not overcome the very low quality of our overpriced room.

**ENTER JULIO TO THE RESCUE**

Without me ever having to ask, Julio offers to pay for mouthwash to be delivered to me via his own app and phone and let me reimburse him via Venmo.

but for the price there is simply no excuse for the apparent lack of training of staff and general poor service.

And I would never pay rack rates here-it's totally not worth that rate and in fact barely worth the $199 rate I did pay per night.

but the rest of the experience was mediocre and for the price - not acceptable.

I believe this approach is the worse possible one: I am the customer, I pay my dues and I want to experience the hotel which I am staying in normally.

Food is very expensive at the hotel as well .

The rooms are shabby, the shower barely adequate, the staff self-important, the rate overpriced for what you get.

however on check out I was hit with a $30 dollar per day resort fee!!!!!

From the greeting we received from the friendly and kind valet staff, to the cool and eclectic vibes you get when you pass through the ivy covered entrance, to the beyond comfortable rooms, to the stunning and fun-filled rooftop and pool, to the endless amount of entertainment, to the delicious room service, to the staff that go above and beyond, to the delicious drinks and amazing bar staff at the Butterfly.

The rooftop pool is so nice (and heated) and the view of LA is simply gorgeous.

This hotel has so much charm, from the amazing front desk personnel to the beautiful rooftop pool and gorgeous food.

From the welcome staff to the director, Troy Berry, and the historic rooftop pool, this is the unforgettable cherry on top of any business or personal trip.

Highlights included the wonderful staff, easy check in (room was upgraded), the rooftop pool (Fri-Sun reservations required), evening shows, and the most comfortable beds.

Great property with a unique, sexy rooftop pool vibe.

They have a very nice rooftop pool as well.

Food was delicious and arrived quickly, and the 24-hour rooftop pool was the best part.

The rooftop pool and lounge / restaurant area is simply one of the loveliest in the city and the rooftop staff is gracious and kind, especially when we stayed during COVID.

After dinner, we relaxed on the private rooftop by the pool, kept warm with heat lamps, and and enjoyed a night cap while we gazed up at the night sky.

I had the pleasure of staying on the 4th floor (their top floor) which comes with access to their private rooftop pool and the hotels two personal concierges - Taylor and Sergio, both of whom helped make my trip super memorable.

The rooftop pool bar is gorgeous, with great service.

Everything about Petit Ermitage was absolutely perfect for us: from the delicious breakfast to lounging in luxury by the rooftop pool to sleeping on the most comfortable pull-out couch in the world.

The beds were remarkably comfortable, the rooftop pool was well-heated and deeply relaxing, and the service was stellar.

The staff, the food, the restaurant and rooftop experience are all one-of-a-kind.

Highly recommend having a breakfast or lunch on the rooftop restaurant, definitely one of my favorite parts of the hotel.

I love the whimsical decor, the comfortable, spacious room, the irreverent Euro vibes, and especially the magical rooftop restaurant.

I had the pleasure of having dinner at the private rooftop restaurant and attending the burlesque show after and it was truly an amazing experience.

Enjoyed a four-course dinner with my boyfriend and a visiting friend from Australia in celebration of Valentine's Day at the rooftop restaurant at Petit Ermitage.

I also had lunch on the rooftop which was very good.

The hotel’s rooftop restaurant offered delicious food, amazing drinks and a breathtaking views.

We relaxed on the roof top after dinner on the day beds, under the heat lamp, and cosy blanket, with twinkling lights and the stars above!!

The rooftop restaurant is also outdoors, with most tables having their own canvas privacy curtains and space heaters in this private, tropical-feeling, exotic space.

We then had a truly romantic dinner on the rooftop in the Garden, enjoyed some live music in the Master’s Lounge, and relaxed by the pool the next day.

Looooved the rooftop restaurant which actually is better than a lot of "hot spot -restaurants" in the same area - a big plus to me!

The rooftop restaurant was lovely and the pool was chic and filled with chic-er guests.

The hotel is curated with exquisite detail from the rooms to the restaurant menu to the rooftop pool and the live music sessions they sometimes host.

We were so in love with the rooftop restaurant, the atmosphere, and the staff, so we ended up eating AND drinking a ton on the fourth floor where the restaurant and pool are located.

Simply one of the most beautiful rooftops and restaurants I’ve been to anywhere, period!

The rooftop restaurant, bar and pool were also fantastic.

We were pampered with a romantic tent for dinner on the rooftop restaurant along with taste and smells that tempted our palette.

butterfly bar and garden are absolutely magical and the restaurant at the rooftop pool was perfect!

The private rooftop where the restaurant is situated is home and sanctuary for hummingbirds and Butterflies.

Everything about my experience here was spectacular.

After dinner we had the pleasure of catching a live jazz band (the Tyler Hammond Jazz Experience - these guys play here often, definitely don’t sleep on them) in the parlor area before heading down to our amazing room.

This is a boutique apartment hotel in a residential area so the location is good because it is very quiet.

Small boutique hotel with excellent location in a residential area, Intimate interior spaces (bar and outdoor patio dining) with fabulous private cabanas on the rooftop pool deck.. Suites were huge and beautifully appointed.

For its location the price is ok. 

It’s a boutique hotel so don’t expect the same standard services big chain hotels give you

I have know of chamberlain for a number of years - they are a boutique hotel centrally located in WEHO .

This is a superb choice for a boutique hotel and I believe offers great value.

Without a doubt one of the best boutique hotel experiences ever!

While large, big name hotels provide comfort, this boutique hotel is scaled down and is a much more personable place.

We rented a cabana by the pool and the service was absolutely wonderful.

The pool is great with the best view of the whole city.

The pool and gym were very nice to enjoy.

I went to spend time at the pool for my Birthday and Bryan / server /bartender  was so incredibly accommodating and kind.

but the pool was warm and would definitely recommend a stay.

Cafe / restaurant in lobby has excellent service and high quality food and while expensive vs non hotel restaurants is probably about average price for hotel restaurants.

If there was anything negative I could find it would be that one of the 2 rooms we have booked is super dark with no natural light so avoid that end of hotel down the side of building plus the other negative is $60 parking fee

The next day, the hotel manager called us to apologize for the problem and offered to move us to a significantly larger room (with a full living room and a separate bedroom) at the same price as our current room!

After finding the house rented was dirty and infested with cockroaches at midnight on my first night in LA I am searching for a West Hollywood hotels in my price point close by.

but all of the hotels have expensive parking so you really need to figure that into your costs.

Be mindful these prices include no room service unless you request it!

To detract from that, a nightly resort fee is charged which seems exorbitant given the size of the hotel and limited inclusions.

I wouldn't stay here again if the the room was free and I was paid!

Parking is expensive at $45 a day for valet-

The only issue I had was the overnight parking fee of 45 dollars

but didn’t realized “continental” breakfast is just a small croissant/muffin and a tiny cup of dice of fruits, everything else on menu are to pay.

but the parking and amenity fees, along with the noisiness of the room above us is why I rated it 4 stars.

The breakfast and dinner room service options were also subpar and overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food you get.

The prices they charge for food and drinks is a complete rip off ! !

The only downside is that the parking is filthy expensive.

I did feel that staying at the hotel was quite expensive and there was no option for self parking just valet at a $45 dollar per night cost which added onto the hotel price and additional taxes was very high.

however, because of the automatic 25% gratuity fee, the proceeds of which the employees never actually see, is imposed.

Check in and access to the rooftop pool was seamless and the cabana was excellent.

Rooftop pool is a beauty - great place for the kids and adults to relax under the warm Californian Sun.

Great location, gorgeous suites, fabulous rooftop pool and very reasonable rates.

Rooms are great suite-types, as is the rooftop pool.

Don’t miss the beautiful rooftop pool with the cutest, friendliest bartender in town, or the delicious breakfast in the restaurant.

The rooftop pool also has a bar and 360 degree views of the city and you can see as far out as downtown LA.

The next best thing about the Chamberlain is the rooftop pool!

The roof top pool is a huge selling point

Beautiful rooftop pool with lovely views of downtown and the hills.

And the carpets need cleaning because there was this old smell throughout.

One of the two lifts was out of order the entire stay, the fly wire screen on the balcony door was constantly jammed and eventually came off the rails and the bathroom had a musty/sewerage smell at times.

Soiled linen was left in the bathroom, the floors were not clean, and the light switches had visable grime on them. Disgusting.

The only criticism we had was while in the non smoking pool area with our 17 year old daughter, a girl smoking a joint was ignored by a staff member who came to deliver food to another hotel customer.

Somehow the hotel didn't match up to all the reviews - some areas smelled heavily of smoke and felt a bit run down.

but what makes this hotel not a place to recommend is that the room had a weird smell, the bathroom wasn’t clean 2 out of 4 times.

The hotel did not look like a hotel or smell like a hotel.

In addition, the stainless steel stand that supports the sink and counter in the bathroom is very badly rusted and the aluminum window frames are corroded and the window sills full of dirt and debris, indicating that management has not been investing in keeping the property in the condition you would expect for a hotel in this price range.

The 4th floor had an unattractive Oder right away off of the elevator and the room smelled worse.

though was that my room smelled terrible--musty.

The room had a smell - like an old musty smell in which I had to turn the super loud aircon on and open the balcony door.

It's as if they're ignoring the little scrapes and scuffs, smells and issues.

As mentioned in other reviews there is a strong smell on floors two and three.

Going up to the room we found out that the hotel has a very strong bad smell in the hotel

In the room the wallpaper is peeling and there is a smell of an old folks home!

A lot of negative reviews on here mention a smell - we couldn't smell anything.

The smell the main turn off, disgusting when you have to spend time on our honeymoon for a week smelling that with no explanation!
