though we were being taken care of by dear friends.

Barbara at the Tower Bar made our entire trip amazing by telling us the history of the hotel and making sure we were always taken care of.

We were incredibly appreciative of Katie (front desk), Barbara (restaurant), and the entire wait staff for making us feel comfortable and well taken care of during a period when logistics and staffing must be especially challenging.

From the moment we checked in we were taken care of by Steven, who delighted us with an upgrade for our one night stay.

I didn’t provide this feedback to the Sunset Tower reception staff because they didn’t care to ask about my stay.

we explained that we didn’t care what room we had, and understood it was unlikely to be ready until later (which was fine)

After they shared a few words i assume about my situation, he was so delightful and took care of my cocktail as i waited (try the southside).

Was taken care of by bartender Larry and host Alex.

The service was perfect, Eddie did a great job taking care of us and later on we came back and had some cocktails with Larry who had us laughing the entire time.

My fiancée and I were celebrating with a few friends and he went out of his way to take care of us plus create a personal connection with us.

I ordered food on my own and Angel was helpful in delivering it and making sure everything I needed was taken care of.

Thank you Brett, Zack, Christos and George for taking care of my guests for a birthday dinner recently.

One of the valet guys, Madison, took care of us the entire trip.

One of our room was very tiny and clearly not the superior room we had booked and paid for.

My room was so small there was no room for storage, the central air  conditioning  wasn’t working, the menu is limited, overall disappointment

The views are spectacular, rooms are small

The only drawback is that the rooms are quite small and the walls are paper thin.

The room was small and stuffy and about 80 degrees.

The room was small and noisy, I could hear the elevator rambling up-and-down through-out the night; there seemed to be a function on every day which prevented us from using the facilities of the hotel, which is why we came in first place; there always seemed to be a lot of confusion in the lobby with a lot of staff

I love the food, I love a long breakfast on the terrace, excellent drinks menu, the staff are always fantastic; equally friendly and professional, comfortable beds….

Beautiful views from the rooms and the terrace,  Lots of attention to detail.

The lunch in the terrace is a good experience too.

Terrace was the perfect spot for dining or relaxing by the pool.

I’m very familiar with the city and it’s hotels, having stayed at a number of them, and after dining at Tower Bar and The Terrace countless times, I decided this trip to try the hotel.

I come here every Sunday for breakfast at the Tower Bar terrace, and keep returning for one thing: THE SERVICE!

The Terrace is a fabulous spot for breakfast and lunch or for just being fabulous.

Writing this long after midnight with a party on the pool terrace 10 stories below.

Breakfast in the terrace is really sweet, too.

Terrace dining area and bar is comfortable and inviting.

Lunch on the terrace by the pool on a sunny day is always a treat.

There’s such a buzz to the place which we adored, especially the amazing Terrace Bar, which id hugely recommend for drinks / dinner / dessert.

I must of course also mention he who makes my daily time out on the beautiful, calming and serene terrace and pool area with views to kill - some of my most relaxing, enjoyable time spent:  the one and only Angel.

We were escorted by our lovely host Ava to the terrace where we sat in amazement of how the decor, music and energy of the room worked well together.

The terrace with the pool and overlooking the city is such a cool view, service killer!

The decor throughout the property is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the breakfast terrace.

Breakfast on the Terrace helped ease the pain, mostly because I like pancakes and bacon.

The food is delicious and the bar/ restaurant has a great atmosphere.

though a bit cramped.The bar and the restaurant have a wonderful feeling of history, elegance and charm.

I can go alone sit at the bar, sip on a glass of rose and be happy.

The bar and restaurant is a great scene too and there’s nowhere I would rather stay.

but I will say I was not limited to the bar as I had no reservation.

I've been a regular of the Bar for awhile now, and the old adage "home away from home" could not be more true about this joint.

She walked me to the bar and sat me with a bartender Larry.

Stopped in mid afternoon for a quick drink at the bar and all I have to say is Larry is an awesome bartender.

Sunset Tower was a top to bottom wonderful experience, from Larry at the bar to the wonderful people at the front desk to my beautiful and clean room.

My room wasn’t ready on time so Anna treated me to a drink at the bar.

At night, the bar is a big deal local hotspot. But.

However, Larry at the bar was the treasure buried on this beautiful island.

but you have to single anyone out then it’s Angel - a gem if there ever was one - ably supported by story teller Dylan, the ever polite Eta and the irrepressible Larry (now promoted to the Bar) whose laughter can be probably be heard ringing out in the Ynez Valley.

She was not friendly at all, did not offer us a complimentary drink in the bar, not even a smile.

We had drinks in the bar as nightcaps 3 of the nights we stayed and ate in the hotel on our final night - it was that good and vibey!

Flat child even enjoyed a martini at the bar.

Conveniently located across from old Mann’s Chinese Theater & Dolby Theater near Hollywood/Hyland.

Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Wax Museum, Walk of Fame and Dolby Theatre!

I stayed here to attend an event and the Chinese Theatre which is across the street from the hotel.

My corner suite overlooked the Chinese Theater, the Magic Castle, and the Hollywood sign on one side and Hollywood High School on the other side.

We were able to see the Hollywood sign - Yes (((The Hollywood sign))) and the TLC Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame from our window; good looking out, Jay!

The Chinese Theater, the Dolby Theater and shopping are right across the street.

It had a great view of the Chinese theater and the strip.

Once we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary upgrade to one of their gorgeous Double Deluxe rooms in the main building, which included an unobstructed view of the Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood sign appearing in the distance.

Was amazing as well because it was close to Runyon , the Chinese theater , etc .

With a location that cannot be beat across the street from the Chinese Theater, guests literally step right out to the stars on Hollywood Boulevard.

It has great rooms and ideally located opposite the Chinese Theatre it really was the ideal place to base one self for a Hollywood Tour.

Even better, classic Hollywood landmarks like Musso & Frank, Chinese Theater and Boardners Bar were all on the doorstep.

The Chinese theater is a 2min walk and Madam Tussauds is just opposite the hotel.

Its located across the street from Grumans Chinese Theater, the sidewalk outside its front doors are embedded with stars.

The hotel is located right on Hollywood Boulevard opposite the Chinese Theatre so perfect for exploring.

Perfect location as right in front of the Chinese theatre where the oscars are held as well as movie premiers and literally on the walk of fame!

From the initial conversation when I followed up after I booked our reservation, to the valet staff, to reception where we were provided with bottles of water, to the room with great views of the Hollywood sign and Grauman's Chinese Theater, it was a great experience!

To his credit, he was back in touch with me within a couple of hours with a number of offerings to sooth the disappointment we'd expressed.

When we made our way back to the lobby, this man gave me his card and said the next time I visit to stop by and find him and he will tell me some more history I don't know.

but it’s not ideal when you’re working with a pre-paid debit card for your holiday. 5.

Last night, they charged me $60 because “I was there more than 5 hours.” 

I pointed out the mistake, and the valet workers said there was nothing they could do and “it’s a computer issue.” All the time, they were looking at each other and laughing, obviously ripping me off.

they added $13.50 service charge for tapping 5 draught beers.

We had to show our card initially to come in from both entrances,

I had a little trouble getting things to charge in the room and it would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room as well.

The actual items we were charged for were not identified and there's no clarity as to when the mystery items allegedly went missing - only when they were charged.

They said that for international cards, the period is between 28 and 30 days.

So you can imagine my surprise and disgust at being charged $40  Amenities Charge on checking out!!!

The room was nice, a bit dirty I found an old uno card under the rug.

The man in charge of valet (didn’t get his name I would like to thank him)saw we were distressed and got one of his guys to go out onto the street and try get us a taxi and spoke to reception about it.

During my stay which was only 3 nights around $1500 total was taken from my card over 2 nights in 3 different transactions.

* After I checked out they've made a series of deductions from my visa which are hundreds of dollars over the bill I signed on check out - these are in dispute

Room card was handed out, and I was off to my cabana.

On the day of arrival, after complaining to the duty manager, we were given a $140 credit for dinner.

The Hollywood Roosevelt is a great base location when in Hollywood, or a destination in itself.

Great location off Hollywood Blvd for walking around.

Location is right on Hollywood Blvd & easy walk to Runyon Canyon Park up toward the Hollywood sign.

Great hotel and a great location for seeing Hollywood.

We chose the Hollywood Roosevelt because of its location and history and were happy with our choice.

Wow this hotel is totally awesome so much history awesome vibe the best customer service ever the most stunning poolside cabana room 101 with private garden and overlooking a unbelievable pool the hotel and room decor rock amazing shower massive beds

A MUST STAY LOCATION WHEN IN HOLLYWOOD

This is a beautiful property, with an excellent location to everything you would want to see in Hollywood.

Last remarks: In case you want to vibe the old Hollywood and stay at a very cool hotel with a rich history and central location in Hollywood, this is your place.

The hotel is in a fantastic location on Hollywood blvd and is right across from the Chinese theatre.

This immaculately maintained, beautiful hotel is located right on Hollywood Blvd, allowing easy walking access to the Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, Musso & Frank’s Grill, along with all other attractions along the route.

Iconic hotel located on Hollywood Blvd, frequently used for film shoots, after parties, etc.

Many of us are from Madison, WI and the bartender for our happy hour was a Badger!

but they didn't open until 5:30 A.M. Coffee is the one amenity every hotel should have even if we have to pay for it.

When we entered the room there is a smaller vestibule that has the cabinet holding the mini-fridge and several bottles of alcohol, wine, and snacks to choose from (for a hefty fee).

but had a limited selection and it was a bit of a production (and cost $7 for one chamomile teabag).

but as others have said for the price point it's not as nice as the BH Hilton and others fully renovated.

but we had to pay a big difference so we declined.

I didn't notice that their default price is for a non refundable room.

I paid the $60 because I wanted to get home,

It belongs to the luxury class and is therefore not cheap.

She never returned so we paid the bill at the bar and went elsewhere to eat.

but it was absolutely not worth the cost of the stay.

but I would say the breakfast offering and pool bar offerings are overpriced but tasty none the less.

The price point is a bit on the high side for a solo traveler, and you are looking for a cheaper place to park your car, there is a public garage across the street that will save you $20 dollars a day.

For example, if you go to the front desk and ask for a room rate - they will ask you to just check on your phone - instead of checking their system.

Some of the drink prices can be a little on the high end

That said, what you find in the rooms isn't all free, so take care to check the price list (in your room) before enjoying anything; some items come at a cost that you might not realize - this caught us out.

We had a King room and it was very small.

We had a very small room (no room for 2 big suitcases)

but unfortunately it is high season and there were no other rooms available so we had to make do for 5 nights in this tiny room.

My first time was in a very small room in the tower.

The room is very small, cramped with a single chair for one person.

WHAT A JOKE… the room we were given was a tiny double bed in a tiny, smelly room over looking a dodgy car park!

The room has a small table with two fixed chairs facing each other, which seemed like it would have been a workable area,

but keep in mind that it's a historic property and the rooms are tiny.

Staff were all very polite and helpful, always spoke when they saw you 'good morning', 'have a nice day', 'welcome back' etc
I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a classy hotel (with a certain level of fame) with friendly staff and in a great location.

The hotel is close to all of the glitzy tourist traps, walk of fame stars and museums in the area.

The location was perfect, close to the Burbank Airport, walk of fame, and a Starbucks!

All-in-all still the best place to stay in on the walk of fame.

It is in a fabulous location, right on the walk of fame.

Situated right on the walk of fame this hotel is close to everything you need for a stay in Hollywood/LA.

Walk out the door and you’re on the walk of fame.

not in the best area, we got told to F-off on the walk of fame by a 'female'.

A minute away from Hollywood Boulevard (Chinese theatre, walk of fame and multiple tourist locations), a few minutes from the famous In-N-Out and a short drive from Beverly Hills and The Grove.

After a work conference in Vegas, it was a solid base for a few days in LA being right on Hollywood Blvd, the Walk of fame, Big Bus Tours and the metro train.

but you are right on the walk of fame and caddy corner across from the Chinese theater as well as shopping , Jimmy Kimmel’s studio and souvenir shops.

However, people would appreciate it being on the walk of fame, near the Chinese Theater and near the Dolby Theater as well.

Perched victoriously on the Walk of Fame and across from Grauman's Chinese Theatre, its' Spanish Colonial interior features comfy leather sofas, fabulous wrought iron chandeliers and beautiful tiled fountains.

Good location, just on Walk of Fame and close to Dolby theatre.

The entire property is super dark, low lights (think RED AND BLACK colors) and feels like a cheap Vegas dance club than a LA luxury hotel.

It was rather dark on the patio and in the room.

The rooms are dark and need a little work.

The hotel is a little dark, especially at the check in.

Stayed a few years ago and the hallways where very dark.

but not great at the restaurant, I found the lobby a little dark.

Official hotel website didn’t reveal how the interior looks like- it’s quite dark when you check in at the concierge.

One reception staff wanted to send us to the pool area after dark when the pool area was closed!

Rather tacky decor, and the bathrooms are very dark, dated, and grimey (rusty sinks, moldy shower, even saw a water bug in the shower one morning! Gross.)

A bathroom either with a reasonable shower or a freestanding tub with a shower curtain hanging inside it (nothing luxurious about that, and why I moved the first night), too many mirrors, and a way too dark.

The hotel had a recent make over by Philippe Stark and this hotel is intentionally very dark throughout.

The hotel is quite dark - both in the rooms and in general areas.

I really do not have anything negative to say about this property with the small exception that all of the mirrors in the room were very dark gray which made the room seem dark and smaller.

The rooftop pool is terrific and the cocktails were great---the service at the pool was excellent.One issue I have is that the hotel, as a whole, is too dark for me.

The over use of mirrors, heavy velvet fabrics and faux fur and the dark rooms makes me double check behind corners and closet doors.

but I personally found it too dark in the lobby and in my room even with the drapes open.

The smiling faces of Kyle, Patrice and Madison every time you walk through the lobby are just the best!

House keep is limited - need to call them to get the rooms cleaned .

but laugh at the comedy of the situation, one of the front desk workers could have easily run a few bottles up the first time I asked rather than keep passing the buck to room service (who never answered the phone ever).

They didn’t even care, talked to the manager (Adey) and the security guy (Julián) they told us to call 911 
Police officers arrived and they said this HAS HAPPENED BEFORE…..BEAWARE you are at risk!!

45 min later I received a call from security inquiring what happened and making sure I wasn’t hurt.

According “Roberto” from in-room dining, ice delivery is contingent on and prioritized by guests that “pay and tip.”  Very rude staff and I was advised by a manager that the hotel records guest calls, which is helpful to track conversations with rude staff.

Massive party in room with over 20-30 people per room in multiple rooms in entire hallways, underage girls coming and going, police had to be call by guests after midnight to have peace and quiet.

On the last call to the front desk I said if you think I'm paying for the room after no sleep then think again.

Our bags never made it to the room, no one helped us with our bags once we went to the front desk, no one answered the phones our whole stay.

He said if I was interested in learning about the new policies I should call management and ask about every specific new policy in regard to the pandemic.

None of my calls or concerns were appropriately handled to remedy the situation.

although it was obvious I was on the phone.

Public areas have loud music and if you’re looking to have video / audio calls you may be hard pressed to find a quiet spot.

I told management about both of these situations and I never got a call or a verbal apology.

They gave me the runaround, lied about not receiving emails (yet replied to explicit questions in the email), lied about phone numbers, phone calls and gave me the runaround sending me to numerous different people.

however get a return call when i inquired into 86.00 pitcher of juice.

I rang down to get car when leaving and waited 25 minutes

The basin is quite strange or let us call it different.

When we spoke to the hotel they gave us a complete runaround - speak to the restaurant, speak to the manager, this manager is out, we'll call you back, and then never followed up.
