I know that when I'm there, I will be well taken care of by both Angel and the other employees.

though we were being taken care of by dear friends.

Barbara at the Tower Bar made our entire trip amazing by telling us the history of the hotel and making sure we were always taken care of.

We were incredibly appreciative of Katie (front desk), Barbara (restaurant), and the entire wait staff for making us feel comfortable and well taken care of during a period when logistics and staffing must be especially challenging.

From the moment we checked in we were taken care of by Steven, who delighted us with an upgrade for our one night stay.

I didn’t provide this feedback to the Sunset Tower reception staff because they didn’t care to ask about my stay.

After they shared a few words i assume about my situation, he was so delightful and took care of my cocktail as i waited (try the southside).

Angel and boy Tony took great care of me.

Angel bends over backward to make sure we are taken care of, and we always are.

Was taken care of by bartender Larry and host Alex.

The service was perfect, Eddie did a great job taking care of us and later on we came back and had some cocktails with Larry who had us laughing the entire time.

My fiancée and I were celebrating with a few friends and he went out of his way to take care of us plus create a personal connection with us.

I ordered food on my own and Angel was helpful in delivering it and making sure everything I needed was taken care of.

Downgraded room for one of us
One of our room was very tiny and clearly not the superior room we had booked and paid for.

My room was so small there was no room for storage, the central air  conditioning  wasn’t working, the menu is limited, overall disappointment

The views are spectacular, rooms are small

The only drawback is that the rooms are quite small and the walls are paper thin.

The room was small and stuffy and about 80 degrees.

The room was small and noisy, I could hear the elevator rambling up-and-down through-out the night; there seemed to be a function on every day which prevented us from using the facilities of the hotel, which is why we came in first place; there always seemed to be a lot of confusion in the lobby with a lot of staff

I love the food, I love a long breakfast on the terrace, excellent drinks menu, the staff are always fantastic; equally friendly and professional, comfortable beds….

Beautiful views from the rooms and the terrace,  Lots of attention to detail.

The lunch in the terrace is a good experience too.

Terrace was the perfect spot for dining or relaxing by the pool.

I’m very familiar with the city and it’s hotels, having stayed at a number of them, and after dining at Tower Bar and The Terrace countless times, I decided this trip to try the hotel.

I come here every Sunday for breakfast at the Tower Bar terrace, and keep returning for one thing: THE SERVICE!

The Terrace is a fabulous spot for breakfast and lunch or for just being fabulous.

Writing this long after midnight with a party on the pool terrace 10 stories below.

Breakfast in the terrace is really sweet, too.

Terrace dining area and bar is comfortable and inviting.

Lunch on the terrace by the pool on a sunny day is always a treat.

There’s such a buzz to the place which we adored, especially the amazing Terrace Bar, which id hugely recommend for drinks / dinner / dessert.

I must of course also mention he who makes my daily time out on the beautiful, calming and serene terrace and pool area with views to kill - some of my most relaxing, enjoyable time spent:  the one and only Angel.

We were escorted by our lovely host Ava to the terrace where we sat in amazement of how the decor, music and energy of the room worked well together.

The terrace with the pool and overlooking the city is such a cool view, service killer!

The decor throughout the property is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the breakfast terrace.

Breakfast on the Terrace helped ease the pain, mostly because I like pancakes and bacon.

The food is delicious and the bar/ restaurant has a great atmosphere.

though a bit cramped.The bar and the restaurant have a wonderful feeling of history, elegance and charm.

I can go alone sit at the bar, sip on a glass of rose and be happy.

The bar and restaurant is a great scene too and there’s nowhere I would rather stay.

but I will say I was not limited to the bar as I had no reservation.

I've been a regular of the Bar for awhile now, and the old adage "home away from home" could not be more true about this joint.

She walked me to the bar and sat me with a bartender Larry.

Stopped in mid afternoon for a quick drink at the bar and all I have to say is Larry is an awesome bartender.

Sunset Tower was a top to bottom wonderful experience, from Larry at the bar to the wonderful people at the front desk to my beautiful and clean room.

My room wasn’t ready on time so Anna treated me to a drink at the bar.

At night, the bar is a big deal local hotspot. But.

However, Larry at the bar was the treasure buried on this beautiful island.

but you have to single anyone out then it’s Angel - a gem if there ever was one - ably supported by story teller Dylan, the ever polite Eta and the irrepressible Larry (now promoted to the Bar) whose laughter can be probably be heard ringing out in the Ynez Valley.

She was not friendly at all, did not offer us a complimentary drink in the bar, not even a smile.

We had drinks in the bar as nightcaps 3 of the nights we stayed and ate in the hotel on our final night - it was that good and vibey!

Flat child even enjoyed a martini at the bar.

Some warm and lovely service which helps this old gem keep its charm.

but at the same time friendly, warm and smiley.

The lighting was warm and everything was super clean and thought out.

They were genuinely warm and friendly, like family welcoming you home for the holidays; professional, offering impeccable serie mailing packages, recommending restaurants and things to do.

I was so pleased to experience for myself the exceptionally warm and friendly atmosphere, lovely terrace/pool area, and incredible staff.

Always has a warm greeting and big smile and from visit to visit remembers breakfast favorites.

Steeped in history the unique architecture of this building stands out and invites you inside to an atmosphere so cosy, it’s like being given a warm cuddle.

Even at 3 in the morning, James at the front desk made sure to greet me with a warm and friendly Hello.

tim, the concierge at sunset tower is always so warm, welcoming and helpful.

The ambience was warm and welcoming, truly feels like old Hollywood.

but what really sets it apart is the warm and friendly staff at the Restaurant  and Terrace.

It was quiet and cool on a warm and busy July weekend.

It was hot outside, and the air conditioning could not keep up, so by mid afternoon the room was very warm.

Dimitri, the maitre d' in the evening, is warm and wonderful -- he's an institution unto himself.

It is a boutique hotel that creates a safe, warm environment for its guests.

The hostess Nicole greeted us with a warm smile and promptly seated us.

The Sunset Tower Hotel is a warm and welcoming oasis on the busy Sunset Strip.

We slept in after our first night and had a early  breakfast on the Terrace, where Angel and Barbara gave us warm and charming service.

The hostess of the Terrace Restaurant which was incredible  was warm and welcoming and made sure we got the best seat in the restaurant.

And many thanks to Pedro who magically maneuvers the pool umbrellas so that we are not blinded by the blazing sun this very warm winter in LA.

NOW FOR THE FRAUD PART- After checking out 2 weeks later i started seeing random charges from this hotel on my card for $30 then a week later another few charges $25 at a time!

They also charges us for items we never received.

Everynight there is something going on..tarot card readings, bedtime stories, themes .

I was charged the full price for the room.

I don't think the hotel's hospitality is at the caliber they're charging.

The billing at checkout was messed up and actually still not resolved.

but that's what you owe, can I have your credit card”. Seriously?

Another note is that they charge $46 per night for parking, so definitely worth factoring that into your budget as we didn't realise until we got there.

I reported this and, hopefully, won't be charged.

Its the little things that matter, and charging a resort fee for a small bottle of water per day has completely shocked me.

Even helped sneak an envelope to us during dinner (I didn’t have a way of hiding the anniversary card from my wife).

In dispute with them now unfortunately as money has been taken off my credit card over a month after I checked out.

but of course, no one at the front desk seemed to know what money was, so he had to charge the parking on his card, but they wouldn't let him leave a tip on the card.

but the taxi had the card machine not working and didn’t know even the area I was supposed to be in to catch a pre-paid bus to Vegas.

How are they able to charge my credit card without a signature and while I was not there.

We got breakfast, parking, $25pp/day credit and a slightly-upgraded room for $250 (before tax).

They claimed we had ruined the duvet and so attempted to charge us $500 - yes $500 for something we did not do!!

The only drawback was the fees of $39/night charged for the overnight parking.

although the credit was not on my bill, and my bill was $150 more than it should have been that I would not be charged.

We explained that we refused the wine the evening before and asked that she not charge us the exorbitant $39 overnight parking fee, which she indeed dropped.

Valet Parking is expensive at around 65$ a day

Parking is tricky because there is no overnight street parking allowed so the only option is to pay fifty four for overnight valet parking.

(Surely the $25 USD per night ‘amenity fee’ could’ve stretched to cover some Nescafé Gold Blend and a kettle ;-))
‘Great’, we thought, ‘the worst is over’, we will avoid the rooftop and park our car in the nearby parking lot to avoid the exorbitant $45USD/day parking.

For example, I had a friend meet me for lunch, and they don't validate parking, so he had to pay $15,

We paid over $330 per night for the room (that does not include parking) and stayed their two nights.

The valet parking is eyewateringly expensive and the only option as the whole area is permit parking only.

It would have been nice to have had a warning of the no parking during the a.m. hours.

The only give away is the valet parking in front.

We utilized the valet parking for our stay, which was quite expensive at $39 a night,

We found lots and I don't agree with the $30-40/day parking fee.

The Valet parking was 38$ which could have been less if we parked 50 meters away at a $20 a day car park.The 360 degrees views of LA from the roof top was stunning.

I paid (tip not included) 45 bucks for a negroni spaliato and a bottle of water.

but we ended up having to leave to make our dinner.. seems petty but these are the minor details you're paying premium for.. 
- Service in general was slow.

Yet the Bohemian feel of the Ermitage does not come at the expense of comfort or luxury, as is sometimes true in the Old World.

Worst service in a restaurant ever had, yet expensive.

We had paid around 350-400$ per room (we booked 2 rooms)

We did notice a large number of people by the pool who weren’t staying at the hotel, taking up space from those of us paying to stay there, which was a little annoying, as room rates were not cheap.

The lovely rooftop could not overcome the very low quality of our overpriced room.

The prices are very high for the condition and the rooms.

Without me ever having to ask, Julio offers to pay for mouthwash to be delivered to me via his own app and phone and let me reimburse him via Venmo.

You should pay for drinks - coffee or juice.

This caused us to pay significantly more in last minute room rates.

but should you be on an expense account, do not miss!!

but for the price there is simply no excuse for the apparent lack of training of staff and general poor service.

And I would never pay rack rates here-it's totally not worth that rate and in fact barely worth the $199 rate I did pay per night.

but the rest of the experience was mediocre and for the price - not acceptable.

The rooftop pool is a perfect place to relax.

Who wouldn't want to stay at a place that has a 24 hr heated saline rooftop pool!!!???

The rooftop pool, a serene haven during the week, transforms into a lively hub on Fridays, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays.

The rooftop pool deck was the highlight, and lounge chair reservations are available.

Was looking for a hotel with a good rooftop pool, and this fit the bill perfectly.

Spent one night here, the pool and rooftop area is 24hrs, cabaret show that day was amazing, and it was an enjoyable stay!

We had cocktails by the rooftop pool while occasionally going for a dip.

From the greeting we received from the friendly and kind valet staff, to the cool and eclectic vibes you get when you pass through the ivy covered entrance, to the beyond comfortable rooms, to the stunning and fun-filled rooftop and pool, to the endless amount of entertainment, to the delicious room service, to the staff that go above and beyond, to the delicious drinks and amazing bar staff at the Butterfly.

The rooftop pool is so nice (and heated) and the view of LA is simply gorgeous.

This hotel has so much charm, from the amazing front desk personnel to the beautiful rooftop pool and gorgeous food.

The rooftop pool is exceptional, not to mention the fire pit and the Master Room..

From the welcome staff to the director, Troy Berry, and the historic rooftop pool, this is the unforgettable cherry on top of any business or personal trip.

Highlights included the wonderful staff, easy check in (room was upgraded), the rooftop pool (Fri-Sun reservations required), evening shows, and the most comfortable beds.

They have a very nice rooftop pool as well.

Food was delicious and arrived quickly, and the 24-hour rooftop pool was the best part.

We decided to grab a drink in the local neighborhood before our dinner on the rooftop.

The staff, the food, the restaurant and rooftop experience are all one-of-a-kind.

Highly recommend having a breakfast or lunch on the rooftop restaurant, definitely one of my favorite parts of the hotel.

I love the whimsical decor, the comfortable, spacious room, the irreverent Euro vibes, and especially the magical rooftop restaurant.

I was fortunate enough to check out Petit Ermitage this past weekend based on another friend's recommendation who said the rooftop dinner alone would make the stay worth it.

I had the pleasure of having dinner at the private rooftop restaurant and attending the burlesque show after and it was truly an amazing experience.

Enjoyed a four-course dinner with my boyfriend and a visiting friend from Australia in celebration of Valentine's Day at the rooftop restaurant at Petit Ermitage.

I also had lunch on the rooftop which was very good.

The hotel’s rooftop restaurant offered delicious food, amazing drinks and a breathtaking views.

We relaxed on the roof top after dinner on the day beds, under the heat lamp, and cosy blanket, with twinkling lights and the stars above!!

The rooftop restaurant is also outdoors, with most tables having their own canvas privacy curtains and space heaters in this private, tropical-feeling, exotic space.

We then had a truly romantic dinner on the rooftop in the Garden, enjoyed some live music in the Master’s Lounge, and relaxed by the pool the next day.

Looooved the rooftop restaurant which actually is better than a lot of "hot spot -restaurants" in the same area - a big plus to me!

The rooftop restaurant was lovely and the pool was chic and filled with chic-er guests.

The hotel is curated with exquisite detail from the rooms to the restaurant menu to the rooftop pool and the live music sessions they sometimes host.

We were so in love with the rooftop restaurant, the atmosphere, and the staff, so we ended up eating AND drinking a ton on the fourth floor where the restaurant and pool are located.

Simply one of the most beautiful rooftops and restaurants I’ve been to anywhere, period!

You won’t have a more unique experience anywhere else!

A particularly memorable aspect of my stay was a full-body adjustment and massage from Dr. Thor, a wellness staff member with a Viking-like appearance.

Everything about my experience here was spectacular.

After dinner we had the pleasure of catching a live jazz band (the Tyler Hammond Jazz Experience - these guys play here often, definitely don’t sleep on them) in the parlor area before heading down to our amazing room.

Very friendly service,the staff was extra accommodating and just an amazing experience overall

but the actual hospitality of it all has fallen off the wagon.

The experience was lovely, the staff was courteous and professional.

The most exceptional and unforgettable Hotel experience I have ever had.

It's a world within a world, a delightful puzzle box of experiences that make every stay a memory to cherish.

This may be one the most eccentric and rich experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.

If you’re open to surrender to the experience, honor people’s privacy, not take yourself too seriously, and be curious to discover delight, then you’ll have a great stay and probably many more thereafter.

The vibe there is very warm and relaxing.

George’s wine knowledge was tip top and Charlie was the friendliest and most warm.

From the  carrying of my case into the hotel, the warm welcome at reception and complimentary bottle of water to the attentive staff on the rooftop and bar who ensure you are well looked after and feel like a welcome friend.

but still has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

My stay last weekend was amazing - starting with a warm greeting from the valet staff outside, everything flowed beautifully throughout.

From the warm greetings of the valet staff, Raymond, Francis, Ever and Marco.to their friendly goodbye it was the perfect evening.

Everyone on the staff is so wonderful, from Thomas at front desk, to Mama, Seng, Miley, and George providing warm and welcoming service.

Food arrived relatively quick and was still warm and everything tasted, again, delicious.

In general, the entire staff was warm and accommodating.

The team there is warm and the service was on point.

Embracing the small size of the property itself, corridors glow in warm pools of light which show off the commissioned and other art to great effect and create an almost Mediterranean feel in the yellow hues of the walls.

After dinner, we relaxed on the private rooftop by the pool, kept warm with heat lamps, and and enjoyed a night cap while we gazed up at the night sky.

The staff were amazing, the perfect amount of friendliness and attentiveness - always ready with a smile and a warm hello.

Check out the rooftop deck for yoga, warm water swim, views, fireplace and relaxing.I felt special to be there and have such a great place to have a pillow, people watch and the amusement factor was tremendous.
