The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the feel of classic Hollwood was great.

He shared a lot of the history of the hotel, and even took us on some quick tours of the more interesting and historic features.

But we keep coming back to the Roosevelt for its history, the quality of service, and the glitz and the glamor that remain from a bygone era of the classic film stars.

Our family really enjoyed every part of this historic hotel; the decor was gorgeous and authentic and really gave that something different Hollywood vibe.

They have Cabaret & comedy shows here as well as show classic films.

The old timely music at the pool is so nostalgic and the drinks at the pool bar are delicious.

The live music in the lobby was great each night we enjoy our adult time sipping on classic martinis in such a beautiful lobby was the perfect way to finish off the day exploring.

He asked us where we were from, and since most of us were from out of town, Cody offered to give us a short private tour of some of the beautiful and historic parts of the hotel.

We were attending a concert at the Hollywood Bowl & decided to make a romantic weekend out of it. We chose Hotel Roosevelt because we love historic, charming buildings with great stories to tell, and it was near the venue (we walked back 20 min.)

Overall, it's a really cool, classic place.

All the modern comforts on the inside and all the historical splendor on the outside.

He gave our family an unforgettable historic tour of the hotel and was so kind with our son.

The Roosevelt is a classic hotel that continues to stay modern and well appointed.

When we made our way back to the lobby, this man gave me his card and said the next time I visit to stop by and find him and he will tell me some more history I don't know.

Last night, they charged me $60 because “I was there more than 5 hours.” 

I pointed out the mistake, and the valet workers said there was nothing they could do and “it’s a computer issue.” All the time, they were looking at each other and laughing, obviously ripping me off.

Tipping and service charges should not fall on the responsibility of the customer.

We had to show our card initially to come in from both entrances,

I had a little trouble getting things to charge in the room and it would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room as well.

but at checkout the receptionist tried to charge us for 2 nights.

I've since used the website to book a room just to see if the charge is mentioned anywhere during the booking process - it isn't.

The room was nice, a bit dirty I found an old uno card under the rug.

We arrived late to the hotel felt reception was not welcoming and the hotel and the hotel put a $600 on the credit card, we were not told that we would have to pay city tax either until we checked out.

but minus the compensation they had paid therefore not compensating me at all, and there response is just to say we have released all funds.

Very odd that they would allow anyone to charge anything to a room without a signature.

Minor gripes are the expensive valet parking & needless extra charge for using the WiFi & pool.

Upon departing we were never asked how our stay we were just told a invoice would be sent to my e.mail address of our bill.

Disappointed I couldn[t charge my phone and watch on the nightstand.

There weren't too many hiccups in the beginning (besides me being double booked and charged twice,

There were no robes (although there were flip flops which if you used them, you'd be charged for them) and the TV could not maintain a steady signal.

Some billing issues on the way out the door in that they charged me for my room stay twice,

I asked for a reciept or some proof that i wouldn't be charged for vallet since i never used it (i used a parking garage down the street) and he said they dont do that so i am watching my credit card like a hawk to see if they will try to sneek the charges on.

even though my total nights stayed would only be two after this fiasco) those funds do not immediately show up in your account.

As I grabbed the ironing board and look down there is a room key and another card with a bunch of white powder substance.

We stayed for the Hollywood Christmas parade and as hectic as it was the minute you walk in its the most peaceful vibe

BUT the noise on an evening from Hollywood Boulevard was deafening until about 2am when it did quiet down.

We stayed on the 5th floor looking out to Hollywood Boulevard, It was a pleasant view and you could see the walk of fame and the Hollywood sign in the distance.

Spacious room, good housekeeping - they freshen up the room, friendly staff - always welcoming and  right at the door step of Hollywood boulevard.

Hotel was reasonably priced, right in the heart of the action on Hollywood Boulevard, and had a gorgeous lobby and bar.

Located in prime area on Hollywood Boulevard, step through the lobby doors and be transported an oasis.

The location is perfect, right on Hollywood Boulevard Ana walk to almost everything

The Hollywood Roosevelt - a great place to stay right on Hollywood Boulevard with super friendly staff, clean rooms and a nice view out of the window. Next time we will buy one of those lovely bathrobes :-)

Amazing experience, started positively when offered a free upgrade and had a loft suite with a great view of Hollywood Boulevard and the Oscars preparation.

Ideal location on Hollywood Boulevard, especially for someone like myself visiting LA for the first time.

Located Hollywood Boulevard, the Walk of Fame, home of the first-ever Oscars, yards from the theatre where Jimmy Kimmel hosts his live television show.

We had a Cabana room by the pool and loved it.

The food and beverage options are fantastic (the breakfast patty melt at 25 Degrees is a fave), and amenities like the bars, pool, and Spare Room are awesome.

The pool was really nice, the gardens were lovely too.

Sitting by the large pools enjoying the sun is a great way to spend an afternoon.

Pool was nice, hotel lounge was comfortable and clean.

The Halloween Party at the Tropicana Pool was great fun.

We ate at The Shirley Brasserie which is definitely a highlight meal of this honeymoon & took the opportunity to dip in the pool in the morning.

It was a wonderful stay and we enjoyed the pool.

Excellent stay, nice pool, great bakery , good food, super attentive staff.

Wonderful pool and luxurious lounge chairs.

Enjoyed the pool scene, lots of young adults enjoying themselves with the sun, and cocktails served pool side.

We enjoyed sitting by the pool and having a cocktail every evening, as well as enjoying a meal at each of the restaurants.

The pool, gym and restaurants were great too.

Great staff and amenities, never got to use the pool area

but they didn't open until 5:30 A.M. Coffee is the one amenity every hotel should have even if we have to pay for it.

I requested different room and I had to pay additional $65 per night in order to get room with out obstruction.

but had a limited selection and it was a bit of a production (and cost $7 for one chamomile teabag).

The price should include everything stop the resort fee nonsense, wifi isn't $35 a night and not everyone uses the pool.

I have never paid more than $28 or $32 for parking based on their clearly marked pricing ($20 for 3 hours and $4 for each additional).

It belongs to the luxury class and is therefore not cheap.

We were treated like an inconvenience not as paying guests.Will never stay here again especially for what it cost us.

My only disapproval was a miserable girl bar tender adding service charges for drinks sitting at the pool bar.

but I would say the breakfast offering and pool bar offerings are overpriced but tasty none the less.

The price point is a bit on the high side for a solo traveler, and you are looking for a cheaper place to park your car, there is a public garage across the street that will save you $20 dollars a day.

For example, if you go to the front desk and ask for a room rate - they will ask you to just check on your phone - instead of checking their system.

That said, what you find in the rooms isn't all free, so take care to check the price list (in your room) before enjoying anything; some items come at a cost that you might not realize - this caught us out.

Terrible service, high prices, average food.

There were items for sale in the room which I don’t get and why would you pay those prices for caps and flip flops people must be mad, Marshalls and target are across the road to buy items like that.

but not least my girl friend forgot her pricey sandals at the pool and sad no one could find them, Leila searched found them, and send them to the room !

*They don't include wifi or the use of the pool in your room rate, so prepare to pay more then you betted on.

Gourmet restaurant was perfect.

Went to thanksgiving dinner here and the food was delicious.

Loved all the history and loved that we were in walking distance to an in and out burger.

I love the fact that they have restaurants and activities right at the hotel.

Resturants and the bar lounge/lobby were also really cool. And.

We started our trip with drinks and apps poolside that were delicious, with great music and ambiance. Dinner at Shirley Brassiere was superb, and the service was impeccable (loved our bartender!)

The food at all the restaurants is very good.

But had access to all the restaurants and entertainment within walking distance.

Everything was top notch from Valet and check-in, to the room, bar, and restaurant!

Recommended her favorite items on the menu.

The evening ended with an incredible meal at the Shirley Brasserie.

Fabulous photo back grounds, interesting amenities, drinks and food.

Fruit plate wonderful like the rest of the food here.

We had a King room and it was very small.

We had a very small room (no room for 2 big suitcases)

but unfortunately it is high season and there were no other rooms available so we had to make do for 5 nights in this tiny room.

The hotel is old so expect historical ambience,the rooms are small

Our queen room was very small and totally inadequate for two not especially large adults.

The room is very small, cramped with a single chair for one person.

WHAT A JOKE… the room we were given was a tiny double bed in a tiny, smelly room over looking a dodgy car park!

but keep in mind that it's a historic property and the rooms are tiny.

Unfortunately the hotel’s age means that the rooms are quite small, bathrooms are tiny, water pressure is poor, air conditioning is very noisy, there are long waits for an inadequate number of elevators, and the pipes creak and bang.

The rooms are tiny, depressing, and loud as they are on sunset blvd.

but didn't realise the rooms would be this small.

Awful small room, bathroom so small you can’t turn around.

Imagine that the room has a small blacked out window that cannot be opened and curtains that cover a wall!

The King room was much too small with a roll away bed for 3 - it looks larger in the photos on the website than it really is.

Service is impeccable from front desk to valet.

I have stayed here twice now and the staff are just amazing.

We asked if a tour of the rooftop was available and they arranged for Bellhop Timothy to take us up.

All the staff are very helpful and delightful to deal with.

He is always welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and its history.

The location is very central, the staff extremely friendly and the  beds and pillows are so comfy!

The entire experience at the hotel was top notch, the staff was friendly, our room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable.

My wife and I booked this hotel for our anniversary trip and we were underwhelmed.

We had a great trip and would definitely stay there again.

A delightful discovery this trip was Shirley Brasserie, which presented a top notch experience to my friends and myself.

Did a celebrity tour bus also while in town as well as a trip to Santa Monica :) Pool area was also nice with events and atmosphere.

This trip, we watched Casablanca in the Cinegrill Theater and that experience was so unique and so fun.

One of the highlights of our recent trip to L.A. was, without a doubt, our stay at the incredible Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

The pool area is an oasis in a fairly busy part of town (Hollywood Blvd) and great for relaxing in between trips out.

I would definitely go back for another concert trip!

I had stayed at the Roosevelt in June for a family trip and I knew I wanted to go back.

but this trip reminded me why I always liked to stay there.

Overall, I’d definitely stay again on this hotel on our next trip to LA.

Will absolutely come back — and am already planning another trip.

The manager had upgraded us from a standard family room to an upper-level suite with stunning views of the boulevard and the Walk of Fame below, as well as the Hollywood Hills (we could even see the Hollywood sign from our bed in the morning!).

Located directly at the walk of fame, it’s perfect.

Our room had an amazing view out to the Walk of Fame and we even could see the Hollywood sign in the distance, which was so wonderful given we lost the opportunity to go to Griffith Observatory due to weather.

Location was spot-on for bus tours/ Universal/ observatory and Walk of Fame is literally on doorstep.

The location is perfect for experiencing the walk of fame, the Chinese theatre, and shopping galore.

You step directly onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame as you exit from the lobby, Grauman's Chinese Theater and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum are directly across the street.

The location was great, right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The hotel location on the Walk of Fame near the chinese theatre was ideal for seeing the sites.

Staff is amazing and the location offers a front row seat to the Hollywood walk of fame and the insanity that is Hollywood itself.

If you just have a few days in LA don’t miss the opportunity to stay súper central in Hollywood, at the walk of fame in front of Chinese theatre and Dolby theatre.

The location is hard to beat if you want to be in the middle of Hollywood and close to the Walk of Fame, Dolby Theater, the El Capitan Theater, Jimmy Kimmel, etc.
