The location is a great base for many of the attractions and things to do, steps from the Chinese Theater and Dolby Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The location is unbeatable as you are part of the Hollywood & Highland complex adjoining the Dolby Theater and TCL Chinese Theater.

The hotel is less than a block away from The Chinese Theatre and Madame Tussauds is maybe 2 blocks.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater, and Hollywood and Highland are literally steps away.

Hotel was conveniently located one block from Hollywood Blvd and the walk of fame, Mann's Chinese Theater.

Nice rooms, helpful staff, and just a few steps around the corner to see the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater and many other attractions.

This hotel is in a GREAT location, within easy walking distance of shops & restaurants; also Hollywood Blvd, Chinese Theater, El Capitan Theater, Ghiradelli Chocolate Shop, etc.

The best feature about the hotel is the location - attached to Highland Mall and walking distance to TCL Chinese Theatre, walk of fame, Dolby theatre, Madame Tussaud wax museum to name a few.

The building is located right next to where the Oscars are held each year, and within a 5-minute walking distance of the famous Chinese theatre.

It's a quick walk over to the mall and Chinese theater.

It is literally a few steps to the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard, the Chinese theatre and is linked to an adjoining shopping mall where there are food outlets.

Hollywood walk of fame was nearby along with the TLC Chinese theatre.

Located right in the middle of Hollywood, it has everything to offer including Chinese Theatre, jimmy Kimmel Live, Hard Rock and shopping centres!

The hotel is located in the center of Hollywood connecting to the shopping center and the famous Dolby and Chinese Theater.

You are located next to Hollywood walk of fame and the Mann's Chinese Theatre.

This hotel is situated 5 minutes away from nearby attractions like the Walk of Fame, Dolby Theatre & Chinese Theatre.

Location is on the doorstep of everything you might want as a tourist- restaurants, walk of fans, Chinese theatre, shopping Centre, tours. .

but no note to say there was a charge for it which worked out at nearly $15 a bottle!

Hotel refused to refund the fee even if the reason for the charge was because of their wifi system.

but they charge a fee each day for things you don’t want like one free movie ticket for 2 guests and one tour ticket for one guest which means the other guest must pay.

but when we arrived back home in the UK, the full amount was immediately returned on our card.

Then told there was nothing they could do there was no Hollywood sign room to move us to and that they wouldn't be able to refund us only give us a credit to spend in the hotel despite the fact we are over half way through our stay now.

I did not like the fact that they charge for bottled water and at such a high price, and without clear indication of it (small print).

There were plenty of charging stations in the room for all four of of us to charge phones and iPads.

Must have done credit card fraud  claim to sort it out with the hotel.

This change in hotel cost us an additional $455 USD in hotel charges and uber fares because of the unethical and disgraceful actions of the management at Loews Hollywood Hotel.

Flight delayed one day and despite both Loews and Booking.com telling me I would not be charged the first night (which due to flight delay, I did not use), I was charged it and when trying to get reimbursement was led on a merry-go round between the two companies.

Also don’t rent a car they charge $60 daily to park it.

They charge $11 for water bottles - in-room and have a $25 destination fee that we weren’t informed of.

This should have been taken from our Expedia credit

The gentleman told us we could use the credit Sunday and Monday morning.

Got $20 daily credit for the store which covered my breakfast.

I was charged an incidentals deposit and was told that it would clear as soon as check out was done.

I was charged twice and can’t get hold of the billing department to assist or resolve, Been trying for the past 4 days, I’ve sent emails, the person on chat can’t help me.

Likewise, we booked an upper floor with a view of the ‘Hollywood’ sign and supposedly were VIP Access patrons eligible for a free room upgrade (plenty were available)

The suite we had was comfortable, roomy and had a great view of the Hollywood sign.

I stayed for four nights - My room was on the 20th floor and had a great view of the HOLLYWOOD sign - Hotel personnel we’re friendly and curious - The hotel is in the perfect location for sit-seeing on foot.

We loved that we had an amazing view of the Hollywood sign behind the hotel and Jimmy Kimmel Live was right acoss the street.

My daughter wanted to see the Hollywood sign (she is 8) so I found a thread on trip advisor that mentioned Loews had rooms with Hollywood sign views!

We had the room with Hollywood sign, room was spacious, everything was very clean.

An extra bonus was having the Hollywood sign right outside your door.

The position of the hotel means you either have a nice view of the Hollywood sign or of Hollywood blvd and the LA skyline from your room.

I was able to see the Hollywood sign perfectly.

The front desk made the check-in process easy and upgraded us to a Hollywood sign view and a beautiful, spacious room.

We had a king room that had a great view of the city and the Hollywood sign (beautiful sunrise view).

The rooms are lovely, we got a free upgrade to one with a view of the Hollywood sign.

Check-in was very easy and friendly and the room was very clean, spacious and the view from the room was awesome as we could see the Hollywood sign clearly.

Loew’s in Hollywood is a great location

The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better for going to Universal Studios and for exploring Hollywood.

The main reason for this rating is the location, the location, the location.

While a good location and pretty hotel, the service was awful.

This Hotel was very nice, perfect location, as central for everything and overall happy with everything.

The location is great for tourist things, the Hotel itself is attached to the Ovation shopping centre which has shops, restaurants, even a gaming arcade which is iconic in the US, called Dave and Busters.

If you want to stay at the corner of Hollywood and Highland - the most touristy part of Hollywood this hotel is the location for you.

Obviously Loews is a premier property so you will pay for that in addition that it is in a very convenient location.

The best location possible for Hollywood.

We were visiting relatives in Hollywood and the location was great for us.

at first we were unsure because of the area the hotel was located in.

The location was perfect for us and we felt very safe here and plenty of shops and  restaurants beside us.

The rip off destination fee is the most annoying this hotel insists of having,you are supposed to get premium WiFi worth $12.99 as part of it

even though they don’t use what the fee is paid for.

Parking and breakfast are not really cheap,

Expect to pay a mandatory daily resort fee of $28 dlls.,plus $20 dlls every day for parking.

No hidden Hotel charges at the time of checking out, just the $300 refundable deposit to pay on arrival (even if you pay in full like we did)

I was here for business so not too sure about the price.

Very expensive for what it is and we had few towels with stains and looked not good

We were told they could not give us any discount on the room rate because the booking was made through booking.com.

Here is a disgraceful hotel, do not pay to be disgraced with your money here.

We are staying here having travelled from England and specifically booked and paid additional for a Hollywood sign room.

Only reason I’m not giving a 5 star is due to the hidden fees.

the only thing that disapoint me was to pay mandatory the Resort Fee once i wouldn't use any of those facilities and I had to pay for that.

It's only a 2 min walk to the Walk of fame and Dolby theatre, perfect location to take the hop-on hop-off or other bus tours and visit sights.

Location wise it truly is just a step or two from all the action, you have Dolby Theatre, Jimmy Kimmel and couple of events were happening on the walk of fame during our time there which was so exciting and to my husbands delight we were also walk away from most of the classic food chains he been meaning to try during our time in LA.

The pool was heated and surrounded by flowers, lovely patios and terraces reminiscent of an Italian Villa.

The front desk was very welcoming and helpful and there is a gorgeous view of beautiful flowers and plants by the pool.

The pool is beautiful and the flowers make for a great relaxing experience.

Our room was lovely, very big with two beds (which were very comfy indeed) a kitchenette and it overlooked the beautiful pool area which was surrounded with gorgeous pink flowers.

Swimming pool is superb, with flowers all around, very pleasant experience.

The patio with swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers and is a relatively quiet place in this loud and busy city.

The pool area is absolutely spectacular with beautiful flowers all around and everything was so convenient.

Trees and flowers surrounding the courtyard pool area made hanging out poolside each day very appealing.

I loved opening the window and smelling the beautiful flowers that surrounded our windows!

If you find yourself just wanting to relax for an afternoon in the hotel that is no problem because they have a private swimming pool which is surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants (it doesn’t  feel like sitting around a hotel pool in the middle of LA).

Good location, walking distance to several restaurants, free continental breakfast, beautiful outdoor pool, gym, comfortable room for up to 4 peopke, courteous and helpful staff.

There was a complimentary breakfast which we had most mornings of our stay, sadly for us as vegans there wasn't a huge option

I found there to be plenty of options, and i'd rather have this free breakfast which sets me up for the day.

The balcony was beautiful and we drank wine at night looking at the views, and then enjoyed the included breakfast  there the next morning.

Fantastic hotel, comfortable and clean, within easy reach of all the major sightseeing locations, especially as sightseeing tours available from hotel and with stops close by also.

Firstly the place is excellently located and good value for money all things considered in LA.

It is in a convenient location on Sunset Boulevard, we used the underground car park for the duration of our stay ($29 a night) and then used Ubers to get everywhere.

although the Hollywood area as a whole can be slightly sketchy, this location was secure and private.

You are in the perfect location with public transport right outside your door if needed! Staff are always ready to assist, breakfast is great (and free!)

The check in staff very super helpful and the location was great, on the outskirts of the town near the Comedy Store.

Cons: the place smells so strongly of some kind of chemical.

Carpets old and smelly, breakfast was limited and paper plates plastic knifes and forks.

Unfortunately the area was smelling of weed as some guests used the back area to smoke in.

however the new room smelt a little fusty, hotel reception sofa and rug is dirty, staff require more customer service training.

On the flip side, customer service was rather cold, and in spite of upgrades, this is an old building with a funky smell from the lobby to the rooms.

There is a horrible old carpet smell throughout building - distinct wet/old smell - in the room and halls - it badly needs replacing.

The tiles in the swimming pool were filthy you could wipe the dirt of with your hands, see attached photo.

Had a bug in my bed, pullout bed had a downward incline where your head was lower than your legs, breakfast lacked a variety of foods and lobby had a musty horrible smell.

Only things we had issues with were the HVAC system which seemed a bit dated, and a musty smell in the hotel room and throughout the halls.

The air conditioning/heating wall unit was absolutely filthy.

The cigarette smoke would permeate the halls.

-The BREAKFAST is yet another bait and switch - they offer disgusting moldy 25 cent pre packed muffins with NO COFFEE and call it breakfast.

butt germs all over the place and no one said a word.

One on of the tables by the couch, there was some gross residue that wasn't wiped down by housekeeping--though it was not visible until we saw it on the wiping cloth.

although it was dark and felt smaller than room 212, it smelt fine so we accepted it.

but only disappointment was that despite the hotel being non smoking, someone before us had flouted the rules!

The pool area is lovely , sadly some people ignore the no smoking policy,

So it is a rather dirty and smelly area(urine etc.

Breakfast among the worst in my entire life, just packed food on board plates.

we constantly had to ask for more plates cutlery and food they couldn't keep up with the demand.

The use of single use/disposable paper plates and cutlery seems wasteful.

No restaurant or bar, breakfast is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery in a cramped room that struggles to cope with the amount of guests staying, we had to clear our table when we had finshed and put the used plates, cutlery and waste food in an overflowing bin, see photo.

but you could take your tray up to 4th floor breakfast room where there was more seating up there ,the main breakfast room was floor 3 street level, we didn’t need to go to floor 4 as we always got a table.

Paying $300 a night should entitle us to more than disposable cutlery and plates.

but is served with paper plates and plastic cutlery.

however even my children commented on the use of plastic plates and cutlery as environmentally unfriendly!

but what is with the paper plates and plastic knives and forks.

The most unusual thing was the use of paper plates and plastic utensils for breakfast.

The only thing that could be improved would be the use of paper plates and cups for breakfast.

but they had paper plates and plastic cutlery which I found a bit strange but all in all was a good enjoyable stay
