When we made our way back to the lobby, this man gave me his card and said the next time I visit to stop by and find him and he will tell me some more history I don't know.

Last night, they charged me $60 because “I was there more than 5 hours.” 

I pointed out the mistake, and the valet workers said there was nothing they could do and “it’s a computer issue.” All the time, they were looking at each other and laughing, obviously ripping me off.

Tipping and service charges should not fall on the responsibility of the customer.

We had to show our card initially to come in from both entrances,

I had a little trouble getting things to charge in the room and it would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room as well.

but at checkout the receptionist tried to charge us for 2 nights.

I've since used the website to book a room just to see if the charge is mentioned anywhere during the booking process - it isn't.

The room was nice, a bit dirty I found an old uno card under the rug.

We arrived late to the hotel felt reception was not welcoming and the hotel and the hotel put a $600 on the credit card, we were not told that we would have to pay city tax either until we checked out.

but minus the compensation they had paid therefore not compensating me at all, and there response is just to say we have released all funds.

Very odd that they would allow anyone to charge anything to a room without a signature.

Minor gripes are the expensive valet parking & needless extra charge for using the WiFi & pool.

Upon departing we were never asked how our stay we were just told a invoice would be sent to my e.mail address of our bill.

Disappointed I couldn[t charge my phone and watch on the nightstand.

There weren't too many hiccups in the beginning (besides me being double booked and charged twice,

There were no robes (although there were flip flops which if you used them, you'd be charged for them) and the TV could not maintain a steady signal.

Some billing issues on the way out the door in that they charged me for my room stay twice,

I asked for a reciept or some proof that i wouldn't be charged for vallet since i never used it (i used a parking garage down the street) and he said they dont do that so i am watching my credit card like a hawk to see if they will try to sneek the charges on.

even though my total nights stayed would only be two after this fiasco) those funds do not immediately show up in your account.

As I grabbed the ironing board and look down there is a room key and another card with a bunch of white powder substance.

We stayed for the Hollywood Christmas parade and as hectic as it was the minute you walk in its the most peaceful vibe

This is a beautiful property, with an excellent location to everything you would want to see in Hollywood.

The hotel is in a fantastic location on Hollywood blvd and is right across from the Chinese theatre.

This immaculately maintained, beautiful hotel is located right on Hollywood Blvd, allowing easy walking access to the Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, Musso & Frank’s Grill, along with all other attractions along the route.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed the amazing facility upon entering the great lobby.

but he covered his post and kindly directed us to the golden USPS mail drop right inside the lobby.

Shout out to Cameron (security guard) at the lobby, for his excellent service and friendliness.

The staff transformed the lobby into a beautiful space for the wedding and we were lucky enough to get to experience several of the event rooms throughout our stay.

The lobby and lobby bar are beautiful as well.

The live music in the lobby was great each night we enjoy our adult time sipping on classic martinis in such a beautiful lobby was the perfect way to finish off the day exploring.

We could imagine all the old Hollywood celebrities chatting away in that magical lobby, complete with gorgeous ceiling, arched entrances, columns, chandelier, palm trees, plush seating, and beautiful lighting.

I enjoyed sitting and working in the magnificent lobby, where, one evening, a clarinetist and guitarist played gypsy jazz; they are world-class.

One of the most beautiful and cozy lobby bar areas that I’ve been in.

Cool lobby, even cooler pool area, nice and comfortable rooms and excellent service.

We had a snack/meal in The Lobby bar and found it so relaxing and tasty.

The Lobby is beautiful and a great place to relax and enjoy drinks.

But the lobby in the morning is so old Hollywood and the jazz playing softly is the vibe you pay for.

You step directly onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame as you exit from the lobby, Grauman's Chinese Theater and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum are directly across the street.

We started our trip with drinks and apps poolside that were delicious, with great music and ambiance. Dinner at Shirley Brassiere was superb, and the service was impeccable (loved our bartender!)

The old timely music at the pool is so nostalgic and the drinks at the pool bar are delicious.

Tropicana is a great pool area with fab music and atmosphere.

We enjoyed the pool, the music and the cocktails.

Pool is great with DJs playing some evenings.

I liked the DJ they had Sunday afternoon.

The bar downstairs was super interesting f with live music both nights which was also a plus.

Definitely makes you feel the glory days of Hollywood from the nostalgic music played in the elevators to the beautiful lounge and pool area.

The pool was heated and we got to enjoy poolside music, food and drinks.

The room itself was modern, comfortable, cleaned well, and not too loud at all considering the DJ outside by the pool and the people enjoying themselves at the bar or swimming.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday grab a drink in the Lobby bar and listen to live music.

they have a DJ on the weekends and the vibe is super chill.

The hotel lobby had live music every night and the seating, service and drinks were top notch.

At the pool, it was always good to take a nap and swim in the warm water with background music.

We did love the pool area, and we spent a wonderful afternoon there drinking cocktails and enjoying the DJ.

The pool is cool and deep, great music playing all day long and chic elegance of an evening.

but they didn't open until 5:30 A.M. Coffee is the one amenity every hotel should have even if we have to pay for it.

I requested different room and I had to pay additional $65 per night in order to get room with out obstruction.

but had a limited selection and it was a bit of a production (and cost $7 for one chamomile teabag).

The price should include everything stop the resort fee nonsense, wifi isn't $35 a night and not everyone uses the pool.

I have never paid more than $28 or $32 for parking based on their clearly marked pricing ($20 for 3 hours and $4 for each additional).

It belongs to the luxury class and is therefore not cheap.

We were treated like an inconvenience not as paying guests.Will never stay here again especially for what it cost us.

My only disapproval was a miserable girl bar tender adding service charges for drinks sitting at the pool bar.

but I would say the breakfast offering and pool bar offerings are overpriced but tasty none the less.

The price point is a bit on the high side for a solo traveler, and you are looking for a cheaper place to park your car, there is a public garage across the street that will save you $20 dollars a day.

For example, if you go to the front desk and ask for a room rate - they will ask you to just check on your phone - instead of checking their system.

That said, what you find in the rooms isn't all free, so take care to check the price list (in your room) before enjoying anything; some items come at a cost that you might not realize - this caught us out.

Terrible service, high prices, average food.

There were items for sale in the room which I don’t get and why would you pay those prices for caps and flip flops people must be mad, Marshalls and target are across the road to buy items like that.

but not least my girl friend forgot her pricey sandals at the pool and sad no one could find them, Leila searched found them, and send them to the room !

*They don't include wifi or the use of the pool in your room rate, so prepare to pay more then you betted on.

Our anniversary dinner at the Shirley Brasserie
Gourmet restaurant was perfect.

Went to thanksgiving dinner here and the food was delicious.

Loved all the history and loved that we were in walking distance to an in and out burger.

I love the fact that they have restaurants and activities right at the hotel.

The food and beverage options are fantastic (the breakfast patty melt at 25 Degrees is a fave), and amenities like the bars, pool, and Spare Room are awesome.

Resturants and the bar lounge/lobby were also really cool. And.

The food at all the restaurants is very good.

But had access to all the restaurants and entertainment within walking distance.

Everything was top notch from Valet and check-in, to the room, bar, and restaurant!

Recommended her favorite items on the menu.

We ate at The Shirley Brasserie which is definitely a highlight meal of this honeymoon & took the opportunity to dip in the pool in the morning.

The evening ended with an incredible meal at the Shirley Brasserie.

Excellent stay, nice pool, great bakery , good food, super attentive staff.

Fabulous photo back grounds, interesting amenities, drinks and food.

We enjoyed sitting by the pool and having a cocktail every evening, as well as enjoying a meal at each of the restaurants.

Fruit plate wonderful like the rest of the food here.

The pool, gym and restaurants were great too.

We had a King room and it was very small.

We had a very small room (no room for 2 big suitcases)

but unfortunately it is high season and there were no other rooms available so we had to make do for 5 nights in this tiny room.

The hotel is old so expect historical ambience,the rooms are small

Our queen room was very small and totally inadequate for two not especially large adults.

The room is very small, cramped with a single chair for one person.

WHAT A JOKE… the room we were given was a tiny double bed in a tiny, smelly room over looking a dodgy car park!

but keep in mind that it's a historic property and the rooms are tiny.

Unfortunately the hotel’s age means that the rooms are quite small, bathrooms are tiny, water pressure is poor, air conditioning is very noisy, there are long waits for an inadequate number of elevators, and the pipes creak and bang.

The rooms are tiny, depressing, and loud as they are on sunset blvd.

but didn't realise the rooms would be this small.

Awful small room, bathroom so small you can’t turn around.

Imagine that the room has a small blacked out window that cannot be opened and curtains that cover a wall!

The King room was much too small with a roll away bed for 3 - it looks larger in the photos on the website than it really is.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the feel of classic Hollwood was great.

Service is impeccable from front desk to valet.

The room was spacious & very clean, the staff were great & it has an amazing location on Hollywood Boulevard.

I have stayed here twice now and the staff are just amazing.

We asked if a tour of the rooftop was available and they arranged for Bellhop Timothy to take us up.

All the staff are very helpful and delightful to deal with.

He is always welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and its history.

The location is very central, the staff extremely friendly and the  beds and pillows are so comfy!

The entire experience at the hotel was top notch, the staff was friendly, our room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable.

All the staff we encountered offered amazing service.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the helpful and friendly staff at the entrance and  at front desk.

but all the staff we engaged with -- front desk, restaurant/bar, valets -- were kind and professional and never gave us a standoffish vibe.

Great hotel with great vibe, cool design, excellent restaurant- all that gor good value!

It can't be industrial chic inside with a clipped and manicured neighborhood outside.

Poolside was lively, well-kept, and had attentive onsite staff as well.

From the customer service, to the view of the Hollywood sign from my room, to the beautiful ambience restaurants and pool area.

but its really got some amazing food and cool scene and great art.

the bed was amazing and the warm colors gave a sense of home away from home

The pros were the look of the hotel, the artistic touches in decor, lobby bar food, comfortable bed, and great coffee shop.

I decided to book this hotel after reading all the good review in the web, the pictures look hip and inviting.

Service was excellent and the room was a nice mix of modern style and comfort.

Perfect atmosphere and pets are allowed and loved!

The ambience of the room and the hotel as a whole was excellent.

Just recently had a great stay - young, vibrant, modern, industrial.

We was given the room with the King Bed - Hollywood Hill View, The room was thoughtfully decorated with a large window facing the Hollywood sign.

I liked the idea of The Line (cool, location, that view of the Hills and the Hollywood sign in their pictures that i read about in the New york Times and so I booked here) 

The floor to ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of the hills and the Hollywood sign.

In the distance, you can make out the Hollywood sign on the hills (the pic I uploaded is 3x zoom).

Also, the views of Hollywood are amazing.

It's supposedly an upgrade because of a better view where you can see the Hollywood sign. Whoop-di-doo-doo.

With a view on Hollywood sign … you can expect something special.

We had a room on the 6th floor with a fantastic view of the Hollywood sign in the distance.

I had the privilege to enjoy the greatest view of Hollywood on the 9th floor for one night.

Very fast check in, my room had this from floor to ceiling window with a great view overlooking the Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory in the distance.

Some initial highlights: Alfred's coffee in the lobby (check), Trendy bar attached to the hotel (check), amazing Hollywood sign views from our hotel window (check), awesome staff (check).

The view was immaculate (your bed is facing the window as you wake up to views of the Hollywood sign/hills + the Observatory) and the thoughtfulness of the space really made our stay serene.

We loved the exposed concrete walls in the hotel, the stunning views of the Hollywood sign from our room and brunch at The Commesary was delicious.

but I liked the View of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory.

Room was comfortable and well decorated,  and even came with a view of the Hollywood sign.

Definitely take the Hollywood View upgrade if it is available, you will not be disappointed.

My favourite hotel in LA - the views of the Hollywood sign are stunning and the rooms have everything you need.

Whilst not huge, the setup was perfect:
-	Awesome view to the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory from the 9th floor.

However, from arrival the experience was positive; valet parking and check in efficient, rooms allocated on Hollywood view side of hotel - "we realise you are a family and need quieter rooms" - which was great.

After that i was really happy with a view toward the Hollywood sign and peace and quiet.

But we had a wonderful time, the staff was really nice, the room super trendy with a nice view over Hollywood sign.
