Right downtown LA and close to sports and convention venues.

A must stay for the Convention or Staples Center.

It was a very pleasant surprise that this place participated in the Los Angeles Comic Con discounted bookings; this is the best hotel experience I've had while staying for a convention.

This is a very nice boutique hotel with good access to the convention cento and Crypto Arena.

If you need to go to the Convention Centre, I highly recommend this amazing boutique hotel.

If your visit to Los Angeles, means a visit to the Convention centre, Staples centre , Microsoft theatre and the Grammy Museum this is absoulutely the best hotel location to be.

Location is good, close to convention centre and Staples.

It is very close to major destinations - within a 5-15 minute walk of Staples Centre and LA Convention Centre.

We were attending a convention that was held in the convention center down the street — easy walk & close to a number of other restaurant (if not inclined to eat at the hotel) & entertainment options.

If I ever come back to LA in the future for a convention this is the place I will stay.

The ambiance was beautiful and it just added to our trip making it a great trip.

Amazing hotel - loved the decor - best latte and Taro latte, food was great and staff from the door person to reception to bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and welcoming and very definitely would stay again

Hotel Figueroa is definitely my new favorite downtown hotel.

So much more character than any other property in Down Town LA, great bar and restaurant "scene" and very sympathetically reimagined rooms.

Right in downtown LA near LA Live for lots of places to eat.

This was hotel hit all the right notes, super swanky brunch with great wine and cocktail selection, relaxing pool area (how is that possible in downtown LA) and great people watching amongst the many velvet settees.

On checkout day we had a full day to walk Downtown and Victor provided an awesome itinerary and information on things to do and see.

Hotel Figueroa is a quaint hotel with plenty of character, delicious restaurants and bars, and a laid back pool, which seems like an oasis in the middle of downtown LA.

The Hotel Figueroa is in an especially great Downtown LA location.

For us the location was very good as a lot of what we wanted to do was downtown anyway

Overall it’s a nice option for downtown LA.

The valet parking fee is also exorbitant, and the lot parking for overnight stay is more expensive, according to the parking attendant.

but too pricey for things not to be working.

We found LA to be very expensive, and if there are people at the top of the organization making more than 3-5 times the most low paid workers, it just feels greedy.

We had ignored it on our prior trips because we thought it looked too expensive.

The cost of parking is little much per day ,

Cafe Fig was mediocre, food came quicker than beverages and portions were small for the price.

Only complaints about this hotel are the lack of counter space in the bathroom and the cost of valet parking (although the amount seems to be standard for the area).

Parking is very expensive and added with destination fee it really raises final price tag.

As with any hotel in a major downtown area, parking is on the expensive side at $50/night.

however, the $30 unexpected "destination fee" and $150 pre-authorization that they spring on you upon your arrival after you've paid in-full in advance are a bummer.

Just note that the service fees can add up and the valet parking gets expensive.

but if I wanted to check in at 11 am instead of noon, I would have to pay $100.

You pay 30$ every day for a “hotel fee” that does not give you anything.

but you must go outside for print work because no printer .Price are hefty when booking you need to pay extra tax .There is no self parking only vallet service adjacent to hotel

Just do the right and "everyone else is doing it" is not a reason to engage in junk fees.

Overpriced for how tiny and poorly laid out the room is.

While I was basically satisfied with my stay at the Hotel Figueroa, the Hotel's lack of transparency regarding their destination fee led to my writing a poor review.

Staff were very friendly, rooms beautiful and food great.

Restraunts were excellent, and the location to other fine dining is great.

The staff throughout were friendly and accommodating, food was good to excellent.

We were able to order food to the room from the restaurant which was delicious!

HotFig is a fantastic resource for restaurant, bar, and hotel!

Cafe Fig is a fantastic lounge with excellent drinks, food, and service.

Fantastic location near LA Live, easy walk to many restaurant, room was clean and functional, may be a couple of extra lamps will help to brighten it up a little

The Sparrow restaurant was delicious and bartenders were very attentive.

The rooms were impeccable, the food excellent and the bartenders knew their job well.

I was traveling for business, a conference in DTLA, and the room was a very nice refuge for me to be comfortable when I needed to relax after a long day as well as get back to work efficiently when I needed to.

From the moment I got out of my car, the staff at the Figueroa hotel were ready to greet me, and help me get situated.

Their staff was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff are uniformly delightful, and I give special mention to Jackie & Mauricio at the front desk.

The staff was welcoming, and the view at Sparrow was perfect for my stay.

Hotel was very accommodating and family friendly.

Valet personnel was great, they were very helpful and easy to work with The  front desk personnel was polite, food from Cafe Fig was very good (shrimp and grits).

It was stylish, clean and sell maintained, and the personnel, from reception to valet to housekeeping and wait staff, were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Best part of my stay was the friendly service of Jonathan  from the valet staff.

The housekeeper, bartender, concierge and valet were all helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

We particularly appreciate the front desk staff, having been greeted by Fatima, the valet staff who made it so easy to access our vehicle and offered suggestions on how to navigate our surroundings, and the responsiveness of the housekeeping staff.

The outstanding hospitality we received was impressive, always a hello, and a smile from the staff from the valet to the front desk to the housekeeper.

They make it so easy, The entire valet team at the hotel are super welcoming and professional.

Liz one of the supervisor at the valet was a very outstanding, gave the face of the hotel.

Lizeth and eddie from valet welcomed us and were super friendly , they valet our car Which we used several times and every time we did we had no problems.

Valet was efficient and pleasant, and so was the front desk.

She was amazed at how welcoming the staff from valet to offering to guide her through the property as she looked for me.

The front desk and valet staff were wonderful when we cruised in late last week; the lobby is AMAZING and our room was clean,

Everyone was so kind and happy to be of service, including the valet and the gentleman who cleaned our room during the stay.

We received first-class treatment from every member of the staff, from our first encounter with Ron who escorted us in from the valet to when we said our goodbyes.

There is dinged up furniture, chipped paint, dust bunnies in the vents, tears in the curtains, rusty fixtures, etc.

Bathrooms are postage stamp sized, with old, tankless piping on toilets, tiny shelf space obviously an afterthought.

I found: many hairs all over the bathroom and vanity area, a bandage wrapper/trash, a false eyelash, a small blood stain on the wall.

Even with such a great filmography background paint peels, walls are warn and dust covered the non working ac vents in our room AGAIN WE USED THIS AS A PLACE TO CRASH NOT A PLACE TO ENJOY AMENITIES so for things to detract our first LA experience takes a lot.

We were also surprised to find that all our cosmetics
had been disposed of three days before we were to check-out (the
employees were on strike, so it could have been a mistake by an
inexperienced room maid).

but there were no separate shampoos and conditioners but just one conditioning shampoo.

The carpet, furniture and baths need to be renovated as soon as possible.

The shower curtain reached about an inch into the tub so water got all over the floor.

We moved to another room and whilst the bath was a little better it was still peeling and this one had a bit of poo on the outside of the loo.

Being an old building, the bathroom was predictably small.

This is a historic hotel and this comes at a price with lift and aircon breakdowns.

The manager, Mr. Valentine took the time late on Thanksgiving day to take us around to the historic rooms of the hotel, and take us back to 1923 and all the pomp and circumstance of the Oscar ceremonies.

The Biltmore is a historic hotel that has beautiful architecture in the lobby, ball rooms and common areas.

Had the pleasure of running into Valentine, he was kind and welcoming and gave us a grand tour of all the historic places around the hotel.

A lot of history associated with the place and one of the staff, Mr. Valentine, was kind enough to voluntarily show my friend and I around the hotel's banquet rooms and halls and explain the historic significance behind each of them.

It's a shame because I read that this is a historic hotel and while it is gorgeous and timeless, it just needs renovations and upgrades to keep it clean and nice for the modern day.

Helpful staff, well organized parking system, well labeled areas, and fun history of the historic people and events who used this place.

This is such a historic and beautiful hotel.

Highlight of our trip was meeting Valentine who kindly showed us around and talked about the historical background of the hotel.

Our stay at the Biltmore was a magical trip through time to the classic golden Era of Hollywood

but when we checked out I asked if they could do anything with the early check in charge  we paid seen as they now had a room they could use, she said she would ask her manager and get back to me but nothing has come of it

So, eventually, I asked if they could compromise by comping the two nights of parking for my friend and maybe a few room charges.

I apologize that I am not rich and I don’t have an unlimited Amex card!

Checked my bank statement and was charged after checkout a bunch of fees.

but nope, they just attempted to run on a skeleton crew, all while charging us full rate for little to no service.

The "destination fee" or resort fee of an additional $35 a night was charged to me without me knowing after my checkout in my billing statements.

Definitely check and know all the charges before you buy

I’m a 100% disabled veteran who has been grossly overcharged by the Biltmore Hotel front desk staff and as a result my checking account at Navy Federal Credit Union is now overdrawn because the computer system was not properly functioning

Billing department won't answer their phone.

This happened to be the exact amount of the credit card hold that they asked for upon checking in.

Only downside was that the room had little available outlets to charge our devices and we had to unplug lamps to get access.

Then, they charged for things that were not even used, like parking: I have no driver's license or car and was charged for parking (60$) and had to spend an hour arguing with the front desk to get reimbursed.

I know how it works and after reading some very recent reviews, I knew they overcharged for no reason so I asked for the receipt for my records.

I booked through AMEX travel and of course in trying to get reimbursed; the service of this hotel is so so bad AMEX hasn’t been able to actually hear back from them.

Only time they spoke was can I have id and credit card.

The bad side is their hidden charges - check-in people never explained this to us.

I was charged $10 because I had to make a trip back to my room to load my luggage in my vehicle while I was parked

I stayed in the room by myself, and there were no bellhops to help load things.

And they add a 29$ facilities fee AND a 25$ destination charge per day, so be careful, the rates are BS.

However, we were billed ahead of time, on October 18, for an online special and as of March 31, 2022 we have only received a refund for one of our three rooms.

We have stayed at other resorts that try to use modern materials to look like this type of design,

The bed was comfy, bathroom was clean - slightly dated

I would stay again, it's still beautiful and elegant.

The lobby was a vast, grand space, an architectural masterpiece adorned with fine art details and warm lighting.

It was wonderful .The architecture and staff and amenities are beautiful and I would stay here again.

Wow wow wow what an amazing hotel, if you love Hollywood Glamour, history, this is your hotel.

The hotels is beautiful, with amazing architecture.

Cost is on par with that style of bar, no complaints.

On top of this, I booked Biltmore because of the architecture and rich history!

First this place is a museum within itself, the beauty in design and comfortability is to beholde.

Nice hotel with a very good decoration and a teference place in LA.

I recommend this place to anyone, it’s a beautiful atmosphere, it’s just very regal.

The check-in process was easy, the room was clean and stylish.

Definitely recommend checking out the Biltmore hotel, architecture and design.
