We met Vic our bartender at the Hilton and he did a great job recommending an Italian restaurant at city walk.

but found this more convenient for City Walk and Universal.

Those were surprise charges, my fault for not reading the small print on the website.

We also got constant reminders that if any of makeup will get on towels we’ll be charged upwards of $50 for each item ..

Next day when leaving garage the automatic gate would not accept out parking card and charged another $30.

We were charged $5 for delivery of utensils/napkins.

Didn’t like that the front desk charged for bottle waters.

but her demands to produce a card to be scanned is something I only encounter with junior/newer staff and maybe once every 50 stays.

They could not contact the restaurant manager, seemingly not believing my breakfast charge, and after waiting 20 minutes they said I would receive a phone call within 2 days from the manager.

I was not charged for early check-in and was given a password for wi-fi.

They charge you $30 if you want to get into your room prior to standard check-in time.

Her credit card machine was having issues and she asked the other guy to use his machine.

Last time we visited we emailed to ask if it would be possible to get a universal studios view and we were given a fab room on the 20th floor with the view at no extra charge!

We refused to pay an extra charge, since we were promised another room at no extra charge.

The only items that caused me to not give a full 5-stars is the fact our rooms bathroom door was incredibly squeaky AND that, in order to check-in early we were charged a $25 fee.

The Cons, windows leaked when it rained, wetting our luggage & runners, extremely high charge for rollaway beds, tiny half size tub, not practical for relaxing.

If you do not leave before 6pm, hotel charges an additional $12 for 1 additional hour.

- The digital key card didn't work consistently, or at all at the pool.

My ONLY complaint is that the card we were given about breakfast hours indicated until 11am daily

Only whinge is parking charges either $28 self or $42 valet.

My 2 kids aged 9 & 11 are quite picky eaters and ate virtually nothing yet I got charged full price for them.

We had a problem with our original room, which maintenance couldn’t repair, so they said they would find us another room and send the key cards up to us.

They have a nice open bar area and a dining room just across from it, which offered me a free, modest continental breakfast during my stays, perhaps because I am a member of their loyalty program.

As for access and parking, it's very easy (although note parking isn't free).

In a city where everything has a price tag, it was nice to have complementary amenities.

That all changed this visit, the minute we got there the man at the front desk upgraded our room to a view of Universal (free of charge) he then gave us free upgraded Wifi.

but the friendly jewelry counter gentlemen told me they had free matches at the bar.

There is a free shuttle down and back (runs about every 15 minutes - also visits the Sheraton).

The staff is kind, the service is solid (the breakfast is great, especially if you're a diamond member and get it for free!

There is a short 8 minute walk to the theme park (partially uphill) or you can take a free shuttle that takes about the same amount of time

She really made sure that my stay at the hotel was as stress free as possible.

Free breakfast is included with Hilton Honors elite status, which felt like excellent value.

They also provided us with complementary breakfast buffet our first day which was unexpected and welcome.

One of us asked Gamil for gluten free toast and pancakes and he quickly made it happen.

I also enjoyed the gym as there was a room for cadio and a room for free weights.

The free shuttle runs from the hotel every 10-15 minutes, which comes in handy after a long day at the park or a late night meal at CityWalk.

They also provide a free shuttle service to the park.

The hotel has a filtered water station you can use for free.

It's easy to commute from her as it is near local metro station.

About half of our attendees were local and the other half flew in for the event.

The breakfast buffer is a bit pricey  bit wow, what a choice!

For a start this is not a cheap hotel and can charge up to $800 a night and for that I really expect my room to be serviced every day not just by request and that is due to expense and not the lame excuses listed on there website 
Also when classed as high end property I would had thought the room would have a shaving mirror.

Cost of room was around $300 per night due to the long weekend holiday.

Breakfast was expensive and you must make up your own room.

However I don’t like that I had to pay for parking.

As my corporate card is on-file and was confirmed on the reservation, I usually only have to present my id, one of the perks of having status with the Hilton brand, as if I failed to show up, they would charge my credit card for the rate/no-show fee.

but get 3 and half stars, because the parking should be included and not excluded from the price.

You shouldn't have to wait dozens of hours for amenities you paid for.

It was just overall disappointing for what we paid.

This hotel is way too pricey to be inhaling mold spores!!!!

The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable to sleep on, the a/c in our room hardly worked, the parking is expensive per night, the dining options are pretty lackluster.

The amenities are not over done and over priced.

We headed down to breakfast, this wasn't included in price of stay which I was of my only complaints, we had decided in room we were just going to order off menu

My last mini gripe is that the buffet breakfast is ridiculously expensive $100 including tip for two adults and a 13 year old!

Just before the trip - we noticed room rates had discounted - so I rang the Hotel direct to see if they could assist.

The hotel was quite nice - very much Marriott/Hilton level, There are some little niggles with a few things, nothing major that would cause a bad day, just minor things (hot tub closed one day, shower really leaked into bathroom floor, gift shop prices on soda insane, minor things).

Everything was excellent the only thing is that they don't have microwave on the room and if you need one you have to pay extra 30 dollars and that is not convenient if you are with kids because especially mine want to eat all the time

I was impressed with the overall ambience of the hotel and it's proximity to Universal Studios and Citywalk made it perfect for our vacation.

It was about a 6min walk to universal studios, and if we didn't want to walk there is a free shuttle that'll take you to Universal City Walk.

Though the hotel is large, it was easy to navigate and was a quick walk to Universal Studios (about 10 minutes) then we used their shuttle on the way back from City Walk (since we were exhausted by then).

We also enjoyed walking through there; the hotel is within walking distance from the beautiful City Hall as well as lots of dining and shopping options.

The wedding was held nearby at city hall so we walked over there with Suki in tow.

The hotel is on a big block with an interior courtyard that is adjacent to the impressive city hall dome.

Room #839 this time, with a nice view of the Pasadena City Hall.

After around 8pm, City Hall lights up and offers a great view.

@ An Asian Museum and City Hall are close.We were in for the CrueleFest concert at the Rose-bowl.

The best part about this hotel is its location, which is across the street from city hall and walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

The property is very convenient to the scenic City Hall area and there's a service station (AM/PM) nearby .

The City Hall at night is also a great attraction.

Hotel is close walking to old downtown, and cutting through city hall makes quick work of it, too.

I booked as a Marriott Bonvoy and was given a room away from the elevators facing the back of the hotel and Pasadena City Hall (I believe).

Well maintained and good service, nice in house restaurant and adjoining the entire City Hall complex with restaurants and bar.

The pool and hot tub provide incredible views of the city hall and downtown area.

There are a lot of historical buildings in the area such as the city hall building and a couple of churches all of which are very close by.

The hotel is clean, updated, and the pool overlooks Pasadena City Hall.

The hotel had a beautiful outdoor eating area and gardens, and we were right next to the beautiful Pasadena City Hall.

We had a nice view of mission like city hall.

The view of City Hall is absolutely outstanding, and the outline of City Hall on the blinds was such a charming touch.

They triple charged me for one valet service.

We were charged twice for the same night.

If you like dirty rooms, unexpected construction, and being charged an extra $300 above what’s on your receipt - this is the hotel for you.

It's a ChargePoint charger so it's slow and about $1 per hour to charge.

I had to call three times to get the charges to my family reversed, because they claimed it was taken care of when it wasn't.

Also was emphatic that NO ONE would let me in without an actual plastic card.

A couple of days after checking into the rooms, I noticed there was a charge on my credit card for $247.

Would never stay here again and working on disputing the charges to get funds back.

Upon checking out, there was no $2 balance.

I was not made aware of this charge nor was I give.

although more incidental charges than in years past.

I really do not believe a Westin/Marriot property would allow this and still charge.

I returned at 10pm to find a card on my door stating engineering visited and solved the A/C issue.

Appalled, I went over and asked why they were charging for water.

I was told the only thing they could do was give us 1/2 off the valet charge.

I pointed out that this had happened the day after Christmas, when my laptop was in my room, my son’s new iPad, cash, gift cards, etc.

They could have waived one night of valet parking charges or made some other overture,

I was overcharged at least $20 a night, no apology, no communication, they charged $40 over the quoted rate.

Long story short, after speaking with BONVOY, only the GM could honor the money paid as a credit to the same priced uncanceled room.

They have EV chargers on site that are free to use and are part of the ChargePoint network.
