We also enjoyed walking through there; the hotel is within walking distance from the beautiful City Hall as well as lots of dining and shopping options.

The wedding was held nearby at city hall so we walked over there with Suki in tow.

The hotel is on a big block with an interior courtyard that is adjacent to the impressive city hall dome.

Room #839 this time, with a nice view of the Pasadena City Hall.

After around 8pm, City Hall lights up and offers a great view.

@ An Asian Museum and City Hall are close.We were in for the CrueleFest concert at the Rose-bowl.

The best part about this hotel is its location, which is across the street from city hall and walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

The property is very convenient to the scenic City Hall area and there's a service station (AM/PM) nearby .

The City Hall at night is also a great attraction.

but all was quiet by 10pm
Hotel is close walking to old downtown, and cutting through city hall makes quick work of it, too.

I booked as a Marriott Bonvoy and was given a room away from the elevators facing the back of the hotel and Pasadena City Hall (I believe).

Well maintained and good service, nice in house restaurant and adjoining the entire City Hall complex with restaurants and bar.

The pool and hot tub provide incredible views of the city hall and downtown area.

There are a lot of historical buildings in the area such as the city hall building and a couple of churches all of which are very close by.

The hotel is clean, updated, and the pool overlooks Pasadena City Hall.

The hotel had a beautiful outdoor eating area and gardens, and we were right next to the beautiful Pasadena City Hall.

We had a nice view of mission like city hall.

The view of City Hall is absolutely outstanding, and the outline of City Hall on the blinds was such a charming touch.

They triple charged me for one valet service.

We were charged twice for the same night.

If you like dirty rooms, unexpected construction, and being charged an extra $300 above what’s on your receipt - this is the hotel for you.

It's a ChargePoint charger so it's slow and about $1 per hour to charge.

I had to call three times to get the charges to my family reversed, because they claimed it was taken care of when it wasn't.

Also was emphatic that NO ONE would let me in without an actual plastic card.

A couple of days after checking into the rooms, I noticed there was a charge on my credit card for $247.

Would never stay here again and working on disputing the charges to get funds back.

Upon checking out, there was no $2 balance.

I was not made aware of this charge nor was I give.

although more incidental charges than in years past.

I really do not believe a Westin/Marriot property would allow this and still charge.

I returned at 10pm to find a card on my door stating engineering visited and solved the A/C issue.

Appalled, I went over and asked why they were charging for water.

I was told the only thing they could do was give us 1/2 off the valet charge.

I pointed out that this had happened the day after Christmas, when my laptop was in my room, my son’s new iPad, cash, gift cards, etc.

They could have waived one night of valet parking charges or made some other overture,

I was overcharged at least $20 a night, no apology, no communication, they charged $40 over the quoted rate.

Long story short, after speaking with BONVOY, only the GM could honor the money paid as a credit to the same priced uncanceled room.

The view of the hills are nice and the facilities are always clean and top notch.

The fitness center and adjacent rooftop pool are spotlessly clean and well equipped.

We forgot about the Westin's great workout clothes offer: they provide a new pair of socks, clean gym shoes and workout clothes for $5, so packing those items is unnecessary.

All of the equipment is clean and in good condition.

Workout facilities were clean and large enough to not feel crowded.

The amenities are also wonderful -- spacious and clean gym, pool with a beautiful view of Pasadena city hall and a great view from the upper floors!

All of the fitness equipment was clean and functional.

The gym is defintely a highlight overlooking the mountains and chockfull of great, clean equipment.

We were told that they will call us when the room is ready.

Ant the worst was that a left and expensive blouse in my room and made five phone calls to staff, housekeeping and the hotel manager.

Front desk had no discretion to correct the error while we were still at the property and referred us to accounting, and after multiple unreturned calls over a 7 day period, I had to rely on the Bonvoy Ambassador desk for help.

Were told to call tech support for wifi access and that they knew about the safe

The phones were ringing and the guests not sleeping, 
while our next door neighbors continued their shrieking.

- Business center is in the “Living Room” area of the lobby, where the music is too loud to have a work call.

We were told we would receive a call back with that information— ANOTHER LIE!!!!

I spent hours on the phone and via email to move my reservation by 1 day only for 1 of the rooms out of 2.

We call the front desk, and Chris answered and I'm like hey I think I talked to you last night about the shower and we just tried to shower again and it's still messed up!

My only gripe is housekeeping hours, in that I left my iphone charger in the room and when I realized I had done so at 5 PM on the afternoon of check out, that department handling lost & found had already closed for the night.

At each pool visit, I had to call the hotel from my cell to request pool towels and then hover until they arrived so they other pool goers would not grab them all.

I explained what Bobby had said to us on the phone, and apparently he told the manager that he never told us the jacuzzi was open.

After that time calling, I was always redirected to voicemail.

I called their manager and left a message and he never even gave me the courtesy of calling me back.

Everything walkable - great restaurants and Starbucks for we addicts….love this hotel, will be back - $22 valet parking is best deal in town!

The parking valet took my car keys and I asked for change for a $10 to give he and the other valet a tip and he kept the entire thing for them both.

Used valet parking every day and they were all courteous and fairly efficient.

The valet parking staff at the hotel was great.

Nice pool area, room was clean, fresh, valet parking perfect and staff spot on and friendly.

Our experience with individual staffers was top-notch - check-in, valet parking, gift shop, bartenders & servers all warm, friendly, professional and efficient.

The valet parking and concierge were most cordial, the saving grace of our 3 night stay.

the hotel and unless you plan to keep your car in the garage for your entire stay (no in/out privileges) - spend the the extra dollars and go with valet parking.

There were several people that appeared to be parking valet.

Any time I wanted to get my car those guys at valet parking got it for me in less than few min( thanks you ).

Valet parking is an incredibly reasonable $17 a night and the valet guys were great.

The Huntington is a drive away (the valet parking at the hotel is 17 dollars a night and extremely efficient)

Reasonably valet parking or self parking available.

Valet parking was very efficient and very reasonably priced.

I recommend Valet parking because easier.

The gym was fairly modern, and the outdoor pool had a nice view.

The room we received was a room on the 9th floor with a view of the nearby parking garage.

This room has nice views, comfortable beds and good service.

Our room on the 9th floor gave us views of the San Gabriel Mountains and City Buildings.

I've stayed in rooms throughout the hotel and while some are nicely spacious or offer nice views of city hall or the mountains, others are definitely noisy, darker, and less scenic (especially those near the pool or overlooking the central driveway of the hotel).

Besides the unfortunate circumstance, the room was nice with a view.

Our room had a lovely Mountain View and had everything we needed.

although it had a beautiful view from the deck needs an update.

I loved the property, the outside garden and fountains near the breakfast patio and the pool area that overlooked the city!

Was given a great room, #1247, with a really nice view of the Pasadena City Hall (probably due to Platinum Elite Status).

There is a 360 view of the Hollywood Hills, downtown L.A. and the beach from the roof top deck and fun music playing most of the time.

The room was big and had excellent views of the Hollywood Hills.

The view of the Hollywood hills was exceptional.

Customer service was great, the woman who checked me in walked me to my beautiful room with an amazing view of the Hollywood hills.

but the panoramic view of the Hollywood hills to the north , downtown to the east, Koreatown to the south and Century City to the west almost makes up for it.

Loved everything about our stay at the Andaz, spacious room overlooking the Hollywood hills.

We loved the decor/color scheme and the view of the Hollywood Hills was amazing.

The swimming pool was awesome, as it was in an elevated position overlooking Hollywood Hills, with a bar and light meals.

junk destination fee you're at an extra $100+ on top of your room rate.

Car parking is expensive, asked for my EV to be charged overnight and it didn’t happen (at $65 plus tip), so had to waste time to charge the following day.

Pool was a tad chilly during our October stay and parking is pricey

The blinds were torn and broken, the tap was leaking and the free coffee that was supposed to be in the lobby every morning was never out when we went downstairs and we went out ranging from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Also the restaurant is way over price, as this is not a five star hotel.

Also, our washroom door was covered in dust or mold which I wouldn’t have expected for the price paid (see picture attached) Worst of all, the shower was missing a door!

Food and beverage prices are a bit pricey

Wish the Destination fee that they charged was explained at time of check-in since using it at their bodega like area had to be used daily or you would lose it.

Hotel in general looked shabby in places and only a few seats around the pool with 4 empty expensive cabanas ?

Only drawback was it is quite expensive with $60 for valet parking ($55 self-parking), $270 for room and then lots of fees.

My one complaint isn't just the cost of parking,

Bit strange to me that you can only have one juice and hot drink with breakfast when paying what I would class as premium price for the stay

But not worth the over priced rates even with the crappy discount that SWV gave.

but pricey for what you get in terms of room quality.

Watch out for the surprise resort fee ($30 a day).

It is more like a discount motel with a grand Hyatt price. Shame.

but would not offer any discount on the rate, even after telling them the hotel across the road was $79 cheaper per nite.

On either side of the bed there were automated built-in nightlights that flashed to life at the slightest movement, blasting the room with light at all hours.

but they have the worse room ever with none vacuumed floors, towels with yellow stuff on it, and every night at 10pm there would be a sound that would start and not end until 2.

The union sends a bus load of protesters to blow horns and scream at the guest starting at 6:00 am.

First I called the front desk due to noise and they came up and asked her to be quiet, then the crazy behavior got worse and that’s when she tried to bust into our room from the adjoining door and the hallway door.

I asked to be moved and the front desk people could not even hear me.

but it happened to be directly across from the elevator which turned out to be really noisy at 2:30 am in the morning.

The strikers started early in the morning and finished around 7PM and made tremendous noise.

Our room was facing the Sunset Blvd with heavy traffic throughout the day

but do manage do drown out some of the outside noise.

2) It is quiet at night, we were back at the hotel before 10pm and there was nobody at their bar.

the band was loud enough to cause vibrations in my room , seven floors up .

You have to pass the bar every night when you entered the hotel which plays super loud.

We overlooked the strip and while it was slightly noisy, the hotel provides ear plugs!

The smell was horrendous   The hotel smelt of fat from the open cooking area on the ground floor.

The noise wasn't bad at all to be on Sunset.

Currently sitting in my room listening to construction noise.

We headed to the rooftop pool where it was definitely an LA scene with lots of younger singles and no other children.

The rooftop pool had a great atmosphere, and the bar staff were always there to suggest a great drink.

Rooftop pool is packed with people with good vibe

Roof top pool has nice bar; and food service; excellent views; and great music!

but couple things to review:
1) The rooftop pool / bar was wonderful after a long drive to sit outside/get a drink/take in the view.

rooftop pool amazing, location of hotel perfect, everyone helpful friendly, beds very comfy, gym great!

We spent two days at the rooftop pool- bartenders and servers were great and accommodating.

I found the rooftop pool remodeled and the city view phenomenal and largely unaltered from the previous set-up.

It was the first hotel on sunset and has a beautiful rooftop pool with views of Chateau Marmont and Sunset.

Restaurant staff are fantastic and the rooftop pool deck has an awesome view.

The rooftop pool is also a nice addition and offers great views over LA and the surrounding hills.

The rooftop pool is a must when staying here, it was just a little too cool and rainy this trip for me to get up there.

The rooftop pool is the best in the city.

The elevator lobby stunk of sewer gas over the entire stay.

The room is dark, dingy and smelled like smoke.

Dirty carpet, greasy office desk, worn furniture, smoke smells.

Spaces are permeated by damp, ranky smells, as old as the building itself.

The only two things that let it down for us were the limited breakfast food selections and the stale a/c smell in our room.

but the rooms need an upgrade and the perfume stench everywhere is gross.

A very strong pot smell in our room when we checked in was never dealt with by the hotel.

Room was sprayed with a noxious air freshener that reeked of chemicals.

* “No” - this was the reply I received along with a nasty tone and argument as to why I had to go down and get it myself.

And the smoke alarm was broken and beeping and had to be repaired twice, disrupting my sleep.

I can’t recommend as the rooms while large feel a little dank with poor lighting and carpet that needs to be removed.

It needs a better HVAC system, It smelled moldy.

Maybe getting rid of those old smelly carpets would help.

The hotel is very cool & gives you historic Sunset strip vibes.

The Andaz is right next to the comedy store on the sunset strip and comes with a destination packet including a $15 voucher to the restaurant downstairs and discounts to stores/ restaurants nearby.

Walking distance to Sunset Strip attractions.

The room was spacious and had wonderful views of the Sunset Strip.

I have stayed at the Andaz West Hollywood and its predecessor the Hyatt Sunset Strip on numerous occasions of the past 25 plus years.

This hotel is in a convenient location on the Sunset strip and the rooms & rooftop are fine.

John at check-in was able to score us a corner suite (which actually is really the entire end of the building) and even on the 4th floor, we had a view of nearly all of LA across the Sunset Strip.

If you’re looking to experience the infamous Sunset Strip, this hotel is staffed with the con-artists to suit you.

it was the best deal in that area of Sunset Strip.

My room was spacious for LA, and I got a rockstar view of the Sunset Strip!

but certainly in an ideal location for exploring the Sunset Strip.

This Sunset Strip hotel is steeped in music history given its location to iconic venues such as the Whisky and the Troubadour.

but the Andaz is a decent option on the Sunset Strip if you're a Globalist.

You are close to the sunset strip if that's your game.

Beds were comfortable and I would suggest requesting on of the highest floors so you can't hear any noise from Sunset Strip at night.

The location of the hotel on the Sunset Strip was perfect; the rooms were large, well appointed and very comfortable; the roof top pool was perfect for recharging; and finally the staff were great - welcoming, friendly, and happy to help!!

If you’re a Rock N Roll Fan looking for the perfect weekend getaway on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood this is the spot.

Located directly on the
sunset strip, you won't find a better pool
delicious food the most iconic music and
the coolest art anywhere.

The decoration of the hotel was uniquely appropriate for the sunset Strip!
