Other strong points are, in addition to the handsomely clever design of the room, the powerful shower with its simple control, good lighting over the bathroom sink, the floor-to-ceiling, full-width window wall, and well-chosen art.

but all the staff we engaged with -- front desk, restaurant/bar, valets -- were kind and professional and never gave us a standoffish vibe.

Room was small and lovely, well designed.

It can't be industrial chic inside with a clipped and manicured neighborhood outside.

Poolside was lively, well-kept, and had attentive onsite staff as well.

From the customer service, to the view of the Hollywood sign from my room, to the beautiful ambience restaurants and pool area.

Now imagine coming to an art inspired hotel and discovering this as your first experience.

but its really got some amazing food and cool scene and great art.

The concrete walls I appreciate was part of the design,

a large mosaic of laundry detergent bottles painted black. Interesting.

If you can swing it, spring for the Hollywood hills view-- the view from the other side of the hotel is primarily of a Carl's Jr. Can't wait to go back.

The rooms with a Hollywood hills view were perfectly set up to be productive with a great desk and view!

But if you get a Hollywood Hills view, you really won’t be looking at anything other than the floor-to-ceiling window view.

Hollywood Hills view rooms are amazing — I keep the shades open at night for a fantastic wake-up sunrise view in the morning — and the staff are wonderful.

I specifically asked for a quieter room since I am traveling with a baby and the hotel staff assured me that this room is quiet because it is facing the Hollywood Hills and we are on a high floor.

Having stayed in the Hollywood Hills View room, the view was awesome and worth the price if having a view is vital to you.

I’ve stayed on both sides of the 12th floor, highly recommend facing the a Hollywood Hills, it’s my preference.

If you want slightly more silence you have to pay extra for a room with Hollywood hills view.

The rooms are modern, industrial, contemporary, and I love the decor; I love staying on the Hollywood hills side for the incredible view.

One side of the hotel looks out onto the Hollywood Hills - which I recommend getting if you can.

The view is not to forget: waking up each morning looking at the Hollywood hills wasn’t too bad.

We could see both sunrise and sunset on the Hollywood hills from the floor-to-ceiling windows at the foot of the bed.

From the experience at the Front Desk to the actual room we booked (Hollywood Hills View Suite), we were satisfied the whole way through.

I requested and paid for a high room facing Hollywood hills and when I arrived for my 4 nights stay was upgraded again by the lovely lady at check in desk.

We was given the room with the King Bed - Hollywood Hill View, The room was thoughtfully decorated with a large window facing the Hollywood sign.

Also, the views of Hollywood are amazing.

Got upgraded to an amazing view of the Hollywood Hills.

The view over the Hollywood Hills is amazing.

On a positive note, we were lucky to have a great view of the Hollywood hills and the hotel's restaurant, Openaire, was fantastic.

It was clean, beautiful views of the Hollywood Hills, comfortable firm bed, and quiet.

The room was very clean and we had a view of the Hollywood Hills.

With Sensational views of the Hollywood Hills its just super chic, fresh sense style with clean lines!

And the view from our top floor room was sensational, an unobstructed view of the Hollywood Hills, Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory.

I had the privilege to enjoy the greatest view of Hollywood on the 9th floor for one night.

The view was immaculate (your bed is facing the window as you wake up to views of the Hollywood sign/hills + the Observatory) and the thoughtfulness of the space really made our stay serene.

They gave me a room with a view of the Hollywood hills and I could see the Hollywood sign from the room.

but very nicely designed and - if you pay for - you will have a nice view on the Hollywood Hills from your bed.

Definitely take the Hollywood View upgrade if it is available, you will not be disappointed.

Whilst not huge, the setup was perfect:

The hotel is located in the one of busiest street in Korea town and their windows do not block any noise from outside.

The hotel is in the center of Koreatown .

This is a wonderful hotel set in Korea town, amazing views.

Super location right on Wilshire in the middle of the Koreatown action (which was also new for me).

The Line is located in K-Town [Koreatown] which is a safe neighbourhood in LA and very central for exploring the city.

It feels like we are in the middle of a Korean town as many Korean restaurants are seen surrounding the place.

My room was simply the best I've found in all my visits to Koreatown, one of the best I've had in the US and Europe.

We stayed at the Line in Koreatown for one night, on our way back home from Palm Springs to San Francisco.

But you’re in the heart of Koreatown, so there’s dozens and dozens of restaurants in easy walking distance.

Line Hotel is situated in Koreatown, a very dynamic area of LA.

Close to really good restaurants in koreatown.

It is good location to be at in koreatown.

All of that being said, there are some good things: cool shop (Poketo) in the lobby, great having an Alfred coffee right there as well, location in Koreatown is great if that’s your scene, and the views are pretty great.

The hotel is located in Koreatown which is a great experience with some great restaurants within walking distance.

Plenty of food options around the vicinity, particularly Korean food given that it is located in Koreatown.

And considering you're in the middle of Koreatown, you're surrounded by tasty (and authentic) Korean food.

KoreaTown is amazing, and all within walking distance.

but we think that the exposed concrete is cool and modern.

Service was excellent and the room was a nice mix of modern style and comfort.

Just recently had a great stay - young, vibrant, modern, industrial.

It's a modern and simple hotel located near Koreantown in LA.

A young sitting next to me was so modern classically stunning I was in awe and had to tell her so.

The set up was modern and sophisticated with a relaxing vibe.

Breakfast is not included, you need to order room service and it is expensive.

I’ve never paid this much for a hotel, I might as well have stayed at the Ritz Carlton or another 5 star hotel for this price.

They told me the only alternative was to pay again for my stay and get a refund from the third party.

When I said that didn’t even cover my upgrade fee, he said the best they could do is $200.

To close, I paid a good chunk of money to not feel well rested.

They have lousy customer service and an expensive hotel without a parking lot.

We booked it a couple of months ahead for a conference at the hotel and used the conference’s rate to get the room for a two night three day stay.

We definitely didnt pay 200$ a night for this.

Also disappointed in the rate practices from this hotel.

They charged me $25 per night with the name under "amenities" for using WiFi,

Please go somewhere else, and pool was cold, so what is the fees charged for????

$26 Amenities fee- soaps are nice, not that nice- so our price went up by $71 plus tips for every time the car was brought around.

The hotel has a "resort fee" which is a ridiculous

and food and drink and was really hoping for a more premium experience at that price level.

The parking is $40.00 and the  "Resort Fee" is $29.00!

This was a very noisy Hotel, the noisiest hotel I’ve have stayed in .

The hotel needs to invest in double glazing the windows as it is extremely noisy.

Do not stay here unless you want to be woken up by airhorns from protestors at 7am!

If you like rooms that are like jail cells with TV's, noisy bars and traffic, quite rude staff, no parking, no good restaurants nearby - Then The Line is for you !

When I got back, I heard a siren that felt like I was on the first floor because it was so loud.

So bring earplugs or download a white noise app on your phone.

In my room, for a couple with a teen-ager, (three people total, two beds) we were tripping over each other and banging our head on the TV (hanging on wall corner) and tripping on furniture as we squeezed through to get to bathroom.

Especially as the shower had no pressure, was overdue for a remodel and the shower head came apart, and the fact that I could literally hear the guy in the room above going to the bathroom.

If you can tolerate the fan, it may serve you to block out the street noise.

but double pane windows and thicker walls would help a lot with traffic noise and neighboring rooms beside, below, and above us.

What really sealed the deal was when I had an issue with the room I was in and went to inquire about switching.

Unless you want to listen to loud music 24/7 go somewhere else.

It's very loud on both sides of the hotel from construction and traffic.

The bed was inches from the window with a black out curtain that didn’t go all the way down and the traffic noise was extremely loud all the time.

The window is not sealed properly so that you hear the loud street noise without filtering.

but Oh Boy noise from a street and adjacent room is unbearable.

However, I think even if you're a deep sleeper, it would be tough to get some shut eye with the noise.

Beware - there is a nightclub around the corner from the hotel, and even on the  9th floor it was Very Noisy.

Rooms are not well cleaned, same with the hallways, rooms are TINY and if your room faces Wilshire be prepared to get zero sleep.

The rooms are small and carpets are old and looks worn and dirty.

For this we received a small room with a view of a brick wall and breakfast was extra, about £15 each if we ate in the hotel canteen, £25 each if we ate in the cafe.

That aside, for a small room, the bed frame is sharp and painful, the mock coffee table useless, and the mini bar severely lacking.

The rooms are so small that there isn't much space to layout your luggage.

The main problem for us was despite the super small room, with so many amenities and merchandising that you do not what is to be used or to be paid for, the problem was the noise of the cars on Wilshire.

I didn't love how small the rooms were for an LA hotel.

Was in town for a convention, the hotel truly was a home base.

The unique look of this hotel caught my attention and since I knew I'd be visiting the Los Angeles area for a convention, I had to stay at Hotel Figueroa.

If I ever come back to LA(even if it's not for a convention), I will stay here again!

I stayed in a Junior suite with my sister, I was in town for a fitness convention, the convention center is easily walkable at .3 miles away.

Right downtown LA and close to sports and convention venues.

The staff during my meal times were very tentative and did not forget about me since I was alone for a work conference and convention.

Stayed at the Hotel for a large convention next door.

I was in town for a convention and this hotel allows you to feel like you are staying at a resort.

A must stay for the Convention or Staples Center.

I'd happily stay here again even without a convention discount.

This is a very nice boutique hotel with good access to the convention cento and Crypto Arena.

Nice property, clean and modern, within shouting distance of the LA Convention Center, Staples Center and LA Live.

Staple center is only an 8 minute walk and the LA convention center is only a 12 minute walk.

The hotel’s location was ideal for me since it was a short walk to the LA convention center.

This is my new LA Convention hotel for sure.

It’s the best option if you are attending to the staples or the convention center.

I walked each day to my event at LA Convention Center saving me $45/day parking.

Stayed there for a convention and was very pleased.

If you need to go to the Convention Centre, I highly recommend this amazing boutique hotel.

Ver well located Hotel in the heart of Downtown LA, walking distance to Staples Center, Convention Center and Malls.

Hotel Figueroa has been around a long time and the redesign was done with a gorgeous eye for style and comfort.

It was a refreshing change to stay in an older hotel with that has been updated with today's modern conveniences while still retaining the character of a building constructed 100 years ago.

The hotel itself has great vibes -- it really nails the combo of modern ambiance and classic charm, plus leverages the original architectural details and the hotel's interesting origin story.

The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff (especially the valets and bartenders) were top notch.

Although it is almost 100 years old, it has all the modern features of a newer Hotel Resort.

However, the rooms were absolutely gorgeous, modern, and comfortable.

Modern chic hotel with great vibe and ambience, lobby needs an upgrade as its appearance is not in keeping with beauty of hotel.

though the renovations are sympathetic, providing good room facilities and food in a contemporary (and trendy) style, The contemporary art display links with the YWCA (women) foundation.

All in all, stay here if you want access to cool venues without going out and do not care about having real services in your room like food and a modern television.

The bar area is dramatic mission style and very cool versus most of the modern lobbies of other hotels nearby.

If you’re looking for a sleek, modern, and newly appointed lodgings then the Hotel Fig is not for you.

There is a charm about the entire property that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto the latest hip, modern spot while also feeling classic and refined at the same time.

The hotel architecture, design, and decorations are superb, in that it brings a modern and renovated new feel to an old LA landmark.

The room was modern, updated and clean (like the rest of the hotel the décor still paid homage to its historic roots in the city), the amenities were fantastic and smelled incredible.

The rooms are well kept and have every modern amenity you would want.

Be aware there are hidden fees you find out about upon arrival.

For the price, the room was disappointingly small, and the hidden "resort fees" not indicated when I booked my stay was also disappointing.

but too pricey for things not to be working.

I originally booked the Hotel Figueroa for the low cost.

We found LA to be very expensive, and if there are people at the top of the organization making more than 3-5 times the most low paid workers, it just feels greedy.

If you want to pay alot, with mediocre service, over priced drinks, and waking up at 7 am to banging pots pans buckets of their own hotel staff protesting out side your window.

but they did have a similar one for the same price - I got the drink bill and it was almost double; bad move.

We had ignored it on our prior trips because we thought it looked too expensive.

Please please please support women in your hotel by providing superior service, security and equitable pricing for women!!!!!!!!!! !

The cost of parking is little much per day ,

Cafe Fig was mediocre, food came quicker than beverages and portions were small for the price.

Only complaints about this hotel are the lack of counter space in the bathroom and the cost of valet parking (although the amount seems to be standard for the area).

Parking is very expensive and added with destination fee it really raises final price tag.

As with any hotel in a major downtown area, parking is on the expensive side at $50/night.
