When we visit our daughters in West Hollywood, we always stay here because the hotel is upscale and clean and it doesn't break the bank.

Our stay was pleasant, the room was clean and the furniture was comfortable.

Fantastic hotel, comfortable and clean, within easy reach of all the major sightseeing locations, especially as sightseeing tours available from hotel and with stops close by also.

The property was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and assisted with any questions we had.

but for the price it just felt right, additionally we felt comfortable in the hotel - everything felt, clean, organised and relaxed.

The rooms are spacious, clean & the beds are super comfortable.

If you find yourself just wanting to relax for an afternoon in the hotel that is no problem because they have a private swimming pool which is surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants (it doesn’t  feel like sitting around a hotel pool in the middle of LA).

The flowers that wrap around the pool are just beautiful!

but one where free breakfast is helpful - It always feels nice to wake up and not have to get up, fully dressed and trudge out looking for a place to eat where you'll probably end up spending $50 - $60

There is also a free breakfast in the dining room, which is well-attended and generous.

Good location, walking distance to several restaurants, free continental breakfast, beautiful outdoor pool, gym, comfortable room for up to 4 peopke, courteous and helpful staff.

There was a complimentary breakfast which we had most mornings of our stay, sadly for us as vegans there wasn't a huge option

I found there to be plenty of options, and i'd rather have this free breakfast which sets me up for the day.

The balcony was beautiful and we drank wine at night looking at the views, and then enjoyed the included breakfast  there the next morning.

Room was nice, bathroom spacious, pool area lovely. Just needs some serious updating in some areas (especially the very ropey elevators)

Cons: the place smells so strongly of some kind of chemical.

Carpets old and smelly, breakfast was limited and paper plates plastic knifes and forks.

Unfortunately the area was smelling of weed as some guests used the back area to smoke in.

however the new room smelt a little fusty, hotel reception sofa and rug is dirty, staff require more customer service training.

On the flip side, customer service was rather cold, and in spite of upgrades, this is an old building with a funky smell from the lobby to the rooms.

There is a horrible old carpet smell throughout building - distinct wet/old smell - in the room and halls - it badly needs replacing.

The tiles in the swimming pool were filthy you could wipe the dirt of with your hands, see attached photo.

Had a bug in my bed, pullout bed had a downward incline where your head was lower than your legs, breakfast lacked a variety of foods and lobby had a musty horrible smell.

Only things we had issues with were the HVAC system which seemed a bit dated, and a musty smell in the hotel room and throughout the halls.

The air conditioning/heating wall unit was absolutely filthy.

The cigarette smoke would permeate the halls.

-The BREAKFAST is yet another bait and switch - they offer disgusting moldy 25 cent pre packed muffins with NO COFFEE and call it breakfast.

butt germs all over the place and no one said a word.

One on of the tables by the couch, there was some gross residue that wasn't wiped down by housekeeping--though it was not visible until we saw it on the wiping cloth.

although it was dark and felt smaller than room 212, it smelt fine so we accepted it.

but only disappointment was that despite the hotel being non smoking, someone before us had flouted the rules!

The pool area is lovely , sadly some people ignore the no smoking policy,

So it is a rather dirty and smelly area(urine etc.

Breakfast among the worst in my entire life, just packed food on board plates.

we constantly had to ask for more plates cutlery and food they couldn't keep up with the demand.

The use of single use/disposable paper plates and cutlery seems wasteful.

No restaurant or bar, breakfast is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery in a cramped room that struggles to cope with the amount of guests staying, we had to clear our table when we had finshed and put the used plates, cutlery and waste food in an overflowing bin, see photo.

but you could take your tray up to 4th floor breakfast room where there was more seating up there ,the main breakfast room was floor 3 street level, we didn’t need to go to floor 4 as we always got a table.

Paying $300 a night should entitle us to more than disposable cutlery and plates.

but is served with paper plates and plastic cutlery.

however even my children commented on the use of plastic plates and cutlery as environmentally unfriendly!

but what is with the paper plates and plastic knives and forks.

The most unusual thing was the use of paper plates and plastic utensils for breakfast.

The only thing that could be improved would be the use of paper plates and cups for breakfast.

but they had paper plates and plastic cutlery which I found a bit strange but all in all was a good enjoyable stay

Very basic breakfast and disposable plates and cutlery.

however the food is very average and served on paper plates.

By this I mean - cups provided in room were of the disposable variety, and individually wrapped in plastic bags; all of the eating utensils, plates, and cups at breakfast were disposable as well.

One thing i did not like was having to use paper plates, plastic knife, folk, spoon, and paper cups.

Do not expect to use the kitchen since it is empty (no cups, no plates, nothing.

Would not stay again because breakfast food tasteless and paper plates even if free.

Cement floors in our ground level room (sparkling clean), perfect climate controls, LOTS of counter space, a very comfortable bed, an awesome luxury coffee maker in the lobby, morning sweets, and a delightfully cute/clean/warm pool to get a quick respite before dinner.

Huge fan of this boutique open hotel/inn with great amenities including a heated pool, safes and mini fridges in each room.

It was very clean and comfortable and the heated pool was a nice bonus.

The hotel was ideally located for us easy striking distance for the studios and the Hollywood hills, a nice pool as well.

We received housekeeping every day (rare these days), and the pool is beautiful and heated.

Pool area is great, and the pool is a great temperature.

The heated pool is great after a busy day, with free pool towels, and there is free coffee and hot drinks in reception, as well as filtered water.

Despite these little gripes, I had a nice stay and would recommend it, mostly for the location and the heated pool! !

Parking in the back and the front, nice pool, spacious room.

Kamal provided recomnendations on places to visit and dining in the area and was always spot on.

HELPFUL NOTE:  The motel is walking distance to several great restaurants/bars and a Trader Joe's.

The staff is so nice and helpful, they even gave us a coupon to use at the restaurant next door which worked perfectly!

Also the staff is very helpful in making suggestions of where to eat and ideas of what to do in the area.

The area seem to have lots of great eatery and we didn’t try.

An 8 minute walk form WB tours, lots of great restaurants, and gas stations.

The bathroom was a little small and very basic though.

The second issue with the hotel is the very small bathrooms.

The only negatives was it was loud, being by a busy street, with car and airplane noises and the bathroom was a little small.

The bathroom was tiny and difficult to maneuver, like having to shut the bathroom door just to get into the shower.

The bathroom is so tiny you can barely turn around in it; even the toilet is small and junky.

The bathroom was so tiny, the open door came close to touching the toilet that's on the opposite wall.

Given that the geometery is the same as it was when it was a motor lodge, the bathroom was a bit small and the room design was super simple.

After turning on the flashlight on my phone I see that there is no slot to insert the key card,

I had a billing dispute and they were exceptionally rude and unwilling to work with me.

This hotel is way off four stars quality, room is a little bit old, no charging stations for electric cars and they charge $35 parking per night.
