The area around the hotel is quite good for dining and having breakfast and you also can use and hop on hop off bus, which is not far from the hotel.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, coffee and tea in the beautiful space provided.

Terrific staff (Brandon, Leo and Jose were amazing, as was the breakfast team), comfortable rooms, nice food options and coffee in the morning.

A nice breakfast and lunch restaurant named Tartine is in front of it.

It was really nice to have the breakfast and sit outside in the front where they have tables… Very peaceful.

However there is a delicious bakery right across the street.

The Room service for breakfast was convenient.

Tartine across the street is delicious and a little oasis.

but delicious food available with room service.

Delicious coffee (drip and espresso on demand).

The accommodations are wonderful, the location couldn’t be better, and the morning breakfast is a great bonus!

There is an awesome bakery, Tartine, right across the street that has delicious food items for breakfast and lunch; they are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

I do miss the precovid complimentary breakfast.

the coffee service is amazing in the morning and i got to meet Teresa, she made such a delicious cup of coffee for me!

There is a Tartine--a wonderful CA based bakery, across the street for breakfast and lunch and a plethora of food options nearby.

The friendliest staff, free wine tasting nightly, right across the street from the best breakfast spot Tartine and free bike rentals.

They should make a deal with the bakery across the street and have continental breakfast available, though.

Convenient place for coffee, breakfast or lunch.

Hopefully, when we come back, we can then enjoy the breakfast, newspapers, and the Tesla service that was canceled because of COVID.

Look past the new paint and snazzy outdoor lounge area, and find ants (and worse) throughout your room, outdated technology and HVAC, construction and noise throughout the day, and alleyway noises and lights throughout the night.

No discount for major construction underway.

Not to mention there’s construction no room service  and a rude staff.

Stayed her for a night during a business trip and got a little nervous when I pulled up because they were under construction.

My only complaints were no access to the front outdoor area due to construction and I didn't care for the scent of the shampoo and conditioner provided in the showers - seemed cheap for a nice hotel.

The worst of it was the construction activity which was quite noisy.

We arrived to a construction zone, terrible and scary first impression.

Upon arrival, I noticed a significant amount of construction being done and my concerns for rest grew significantly.

There is quite major construction work going on that took place outside of the hotel that I was not informed about.

If we had known there was construction planned, we would NOT have stayed at the hotel until it was done.

This all might change as the construction comes to completion

(I recall some construction when we were there last, and the staff wasn't as personable).

Construction is supposed to be completed in the next 3-5 weeks (I think).

They said the construction would go from 9;30 til 4;30,

The entire lobby is under construction and some of the rooms.

Despite having to check in through the garage, the staff couldn't be more friendly despite the adversity caused by the construction.

- I understand there were going through construction (which is cool), and the occasional noise and dust is fine.

There was no warning that the first floor is completely under construction.

My mother in law has a scooter and she enjoyed how big the roll in shower was also.

but they look great and the complimentary breakfast was a very welcome surprise.

but one where free breakfast is helpful - It always feels nice to wake up and not have to get up, fully dressed and trudge out looking for a place to eat where you'll probably end up spending $50 - $60

No complaints about the quality either - its pretty good and free!

We felt the price we paid for our stay was very reasonable and the only thing I can fault is the breakfast.

Breakfast was decent and many options for dietary preferences.

Very close to local shops if you forget anything! They also have a nice and convenient breakfast available if that's something you look for in a hotel (eggs, potatoes, ham, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, etc.)

You are in the perfect location with public transport right outside your door if needed! Staff are always ready to assist, breakfast is great (and free!)

Breakfast was a great selection of pasties, bread, cakes, fruit, cereal, cooked items + yoghurts, it made a great start to the day.

There are 2 breakfast rooms and the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant.

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic!

Cons: the place smells so strongly of some kind of chemical.

Carpets old and smelly, breakfast was limited and paper plates plastic knifes and forks.

Unfortunately the area was smelling of weed as some guests used the back area to smoke in.

however the new room smelt a little fusty, hotel reception sofa and rug is dirty, staff require more customer service training.

On the flip side, customer service was rather cold, and in spite of upgrades, this is an old building with a funky smell from the lobby to the rooms.

There is a horrible old carpet smell throughout building - distinct wet/old smell - in the room and halls - it badly needs replacing.

The tiles in the swimming pool were filthy you could wipe the dirt of with your hands, see attached photo.

Had a bug in my bed, pullout bed had a downward incline where your head was lower than your legs, breakfast lacked a variety of foods and lobby had a musty horrible smell.

Only things we had issues with were the HVAC system which seemed a bit dated, and a musty smell in the hotel room and throughout the halls.

The air conditioning/heating wall unit was absolutely filthy.

The cigarette smoke would permeate the halls.

-The BREAKFAST is yet another bait and switch - they offer disgusting moldy 25 cent pre packed muffins with NO COFFEE and call it breakfast.

One on of the tables by the couch, there was some gross residue that wasn't wiped down by housekeeping--though it was not visible until we saw it on the wiping cloth.

although it was dark and felt smaller than room 212, it smelt fine so we accepted it.

but only disappointment was that despite the hotel being non smoking, someone before us had flouted the rules!

The pool area is lovely , sadly some people ignore the no smoking policy,

So it is a rather dirty and smelly area(urine etc.

Breakfast among the worst in my entire life, just packed food on board plates.

we constantly had to ask for more plates cutlery and food they couldn't keep up with the demand.

The use of single use/disposable paper plates and cutlery seems wasteful.

No restaurant or bar, breakfast is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery in a cramped room that struggles to cope with the amount of guests staying, we had to clear our table when we had finshed and put the used plates, cutlery and waste food in an overflowing bin, see photo.

but you could take your tray up to 4th floor breakfast room where there was more seating up there ,the main breakfast room was floor 3 street level, we didn’t need to go to floor 4 as we always got a table.

Paying $300 a night should entitle us to more than disposable cutlery and plates.

but is served with paper plates and plastic cutlery.

however even my children commented on the use of plastic plates and cutlery as environmentally unfriendly!

but what is with the paper plates and plastic knives and forks.

The most unusual thing was the use of paper plates and plastic utensils for breakfast.

The only thing that could be improved would be the use of paper plates and cups for breakfast.

but they had paper plates and plastic cutlery which I found a bit strange but all in all was a good enjoyable stay

Very basic breakfast and disposable plates and cutlery.

however the food is very average and served on paper plates.

By this I mean - cups provided in room were of the disposable variety, and individually wrapped in plastic bags; all of the eating utensils, plates, and cups at breakfast were disposable as well.

One thing i did not like was having to use paper plates, plastic knife, folk, spoon, and paper cups.

Do not expect to use the kitchen since it is empty (no cups, no plates, nothing.

Would not stay again because breakfast food tasteless and paper plates even if free.

Then the A/C in the room was so loud it kept waking me up all night.

There was no hot water, power or air conditioning due to the outage.

3- They failed our wedding party with the bar situation, delivery of gift bags and discounts for the night/most of a day that there were no lights, no hot water and no air conditioning!

The AC unit in the room was super noisy and he had to turn it off to be able to sleep and we were still hearing the AC from the neighboring room.

Air conditioning vent in room rattled like a freight train coming through every time the unit started blowing.

though it was a bit to cold to have a swim the pool area had a gas heater so you could still sit outside.

My only qualm with the room was the AC was kind of loud,

The air conditioner/heater was so loud it woke me up everytime it kicked on.

Super loud air conditioner made sleep difficult.

Placed in a room with very noisy A/C unit, unable to sleep while running.

Dust in the vents and mold in the shower.

Not sure if this was just our specific room or if other rooms had a similar issue with the AC units.

I slept horribly for 2/4 nights constant heavy walking above the kid jumping up and down on the floor air conditioner noisy, Beds are not comfortable.

The only complaint was the air conditioner was a little loud

Bedding was stained, bathroom had rust, the A/C unit in the room was so loud it would wake me from my sleep.

Plus we couldn't figure out the thermostat, and the front desk told us that no one would be there until 6:30am to look at it and it would be illegal for someone to come into our room.

The aircon in the room was very noisy , it kept waking us up and while boarding the shuttle to the airport in the middle they don’t have a checking process and a guy who we believe were high on drugs jumped in and stared at us while seating in front of us and looking at our luggage.

Includes a wonderful breakfast with multiple cold and hot options.

Amazing breakfast with good flavor, clean dishes and clean kitchen.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful.

Plus, it was pretty much a breakfast buffet and had lots of options for everyone in our family.

Friendly staff, decent breakfast similar to most places that offer a free breakfast, clean comfortable large rooms.

The staff is always quite helpful, the accommodations are excellent, and so is the Breakfast Buffet.

I had a fantastic stay, the hotel offers so much, including a great complimentary breakfast and coffee!

Room was clean no funky smell our junior suite was very spacious bathroom was well kept didnt had a chance to check other amenities beside the next day breakfast when we got down most of the food was pretty empty and not much options to be honest no meat no sausage or bacon and bacon rid bits was empty for the omelette all we had was omelette for me and the bf cereal for my daughter and waffles.

Looks like there is also a shuttle to the Irport, and free breakfast  in the morning, and a fire pit out by the pool

The rooms are clean, bathrooms clean, breakfast is great too!

but I found him obnoxious…and I’m sure he thinks the same about me if I told him I didn’t like him calling me “boss.”  Is it a millennial thing?

I’ve had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges and also their corporate office.

They could also answer their phone at the front desk a little more conscientiously.

but we chose not to utilize it because you have to call them to be picked up and we didn’t want to wait for a shuttle upon our return.

You need to call the hotel when you have landed and they then dispatch the shuttle.

I am from UK and this is an expensive phone call for me, also meant hanging around for 45 to 50 minutes .

They don’t answer the phones at the front desk so I had to go down and show them pictures of the damage and left behind food for fear of being billed for the damage.

I had to call the hotel twice for them to come get my fiance and myself.

We are a family of 5, so the 2 Q and a double sofa bed fit the bill for a silly early wake up call to get to LAX.

This is mainly due to the fact they are tasked with many conflicting jobs:  front desk, answering phones, tending bar, and taking food orders.

Had issues with phone reception for T-Mobile, hope Hyatt can work with T-Mobile to fix this.

They didn't call me ahead of time to let me know my room wouldn't be ready, and the didn't care that they didn't have a room for me in the first place

But it seems an employee forgot to do this in the morning, and I couldn't get anyone to check me out over the phone, so I proceeded to the front desk to check out, which honestly isn't even a big deal to me

You will get faster Internet by tethering your tablet/laptop to your mobile phone’s LTE connection.

At check out we were assured that there was no fees, however one of our cards was in fact charged, after a phone call to the hotel and again being informed that we.should not have booked through a third party a refund was instructed, 2 days later another charge was presented

One of the guest hosts even let me use her charger while I was waiting for my Uber because my phone was on 1% and had realized I left my charger.

My only complaint with the room is that the shower curtain smelled of mildew and you can visibly see pink slime on the bottom of the curtain.

I was awaken at 4am with a low battery on the smoke detector which continued to go off for hours while trying to sleep.

but the room was not clean there were boogers in the shower.

The staff was really amazing and were able to accommodate us to a better room after receiving one that smelled bad/ dust like and a poor quality sofa bed with ripped sheets.It seemed that they didn't do thorough cleaning in between stays as you could see the mold between some tiles.

but three of the four they showed me had an odd smell.

Hotel room smelled bad and our neighbors were doing drugs and partying late into the night.

but the first room we were assigned had the distinct smell of weed as well as some vomit on the hallway floor outside the room.

Despite the no marijuana smoking or vaping signs it is obvious and clear it's still happening.

I nor my eight year old daughter are smokers.

but it was the only hotel available that I could’ve checked in due to my age

The rooms that have not been remodeled are in terrible condition being outdated and grimy and stinky, bed was not comfortable.

The entire hotel reeks of both cigarette and marijuana smoke.

but musty smelling, cold pool, not much of a hottub but at least there is one.

The overall experience was good - 50 dollar for parking was not fun, the room was inferior that the one that I payed, the room was smelling as fried chicken and the AC was loud as an old tractor and I needed to turn it off to sleep.

Laundry room had smelly washers and dirty dryers full of sand.

Room was to hot air conditioner didn’t work call front desk and didn’t help they say to wait like 30 minutes we waited all night and never work.

It took 3 days to receive this gross fan.

Room amenities were bad - safe broken, fan would not turn off, fridge thermostat not working, ironing board would not close and so it went on.

The air conditioning grates shot cold air onto your head all night.

Condensation was building on the outside window which was blocked and you couldn’t see anything.

but the room was extremely humid and smelled very strongly of mildew.

Room smelled horrible - no wonder the ceiling fan was on when we arrived.

The second night, when we tried to adjust the thermostat, we heard a big pop and no more blower.

We initially thought it was condensation or dripping from the a/c.

I’ve been a big fan of Embassy Suites Hotels for decades & have Gold status with Hilton, so I wasn’t really concerned when I first arrived.

If you turn on the light in the bathroom, a rattly loud fan comes on - doesn't work, just makes horrible noise.

but worn out bed and weak a/c and needed better cleaning.

The worst part was that the air conditioner did not work

Maybe should have asked for a fan from the front desk.

The heater and ac doesn’t work at all and the front desk is aware yet they still book rooms .

The bathroom stall was gross with mildew and mold showing as well as the vent of the bathroom was really loud.The pool smelled damp and old definitely needs a renovation.

The bathroom ceiling had rust marks and was not properly ventilated as well.

The AC, for not being an in-room unit, was obnoxiously loud.

Also, I stayed in a “renovated” room and the bathroom door wouldn’t close and there was a chunk missing from the bottom of the wall.

Housekeeping came to "clean" the floor and bring us towels (we'd used them all when the shower overflowed).

The rooms are terribly outdated (stained showers + toilets) and the basics aren't even up to par (the ironing board cover was covered in stains + 2 of my bath towels had holes in them -- I cringe to think about how old they are).

The shower enamel was all cracked and missing.

The toilet instead of draining down, wanted to flow up, so obviously installed incorrectly.

After traveling for 26 hours straight and very little sleep from the other side of the World, all we wanted to do was take showers and sleep.

There were stains in the bath tub and the door frame from the bathroom into the main room was bubbled from water damage.

The hotel is tired (rooms old, rust and cracked tile in bathroom, uninviting bar, dusty and dirty staircase, and slow elevators) in the middle of an unwalkable area (office buildings with no public access or public facilities) near LAX.

When we got into our room, the shower was spewing black flecks in the water.

Mold on the ceiling, peeling paint in shower).

Second room had issues with sink, 2 out of 3 GFCI outlets were broken, broken closet doors, sticky floors and carpets, broken shower.

The first night we could at least get the room blower fan to work to help remove the moisture from our showers.
