The area around the hotel is quite good for dining and having breakfast and you also can use and hop on hop off bus, which is not far from the hotel.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, coffee and tea in the beautiful space provided.

Terrific staff (Brandon, Leo and Jose were amazing, as was the breakfast team), comfortable rooms, nice food options and coffee in the morning.

A nice breakfast and lunch restaurant named Tartine is in front of it.

It was really nice to have the breakfast and sit outside in the front where they have tables… Very peaceful.

However there is a delicious bakery right across the street.

The Room service for breakfast was convenient.

Tartine across the street is delicious and a little oasis.

but delicious food available with room service.

Delicious coffee (drip and espresso on demand).

The accommodations are wonderful, the location couldn’t be better, and the morning breakfast is a great bonus!

There is an awesome bakery, Tartine, right across the street that has delicious food items for breakfast and lunch; they are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

I do miss the precovid complimentary breakfast.

They should make a deal with the bakery across the street and have continental breakfast available, though.

Convenient place for coffee, breakfast or lunch.

Hopefully, when we come back, we can then enjoy the breakfast, newspapers, and the Tesla service that was canceled because of COVID.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we did avail ourselves of the hotel free car service.

The staff is friendly and accommodating, the hotel is adorable, quaint, and convenient to many places, and amenities like the local car service, morning coffee and happy hour are a great touch for an independent hotel.

Trying to arrange in-house car use for a two block ride to the UCLA cancer center was very disorganized and we ended using a car service.

The room, common areas (happy hour was great! ), free local car service and the location (so walkable, safe  and near great restaurants!)

The car service is great and we used it quite a lot whilst staying there.

The complimentary car service (3 mile radius, first come/first serve basis) was an excellent perk.

The breakfast was one of the best we've had and the use of the hotel car service was really helpful.

We used their free chauffeured car service to go to dinner and back 3 nights in a row.

The hotel also offers free car service within three miles of the hotel, nice perk.

Bikes, breakfast and a car service are provided at no additional charge.

The amenities are above par, daily breakfast, daily happy hour, unlimited coffee, service car to take us anywhere within a 3 mile range, excellent staff, etc.

Another amenity which came in handy was the car service that will drive you anywhere within 3 miles.

The car service they provide guests was very convenient and useful.

Look past the new paint and snazzy outdoor lounge area, and find ants (and worse) throughout your room, outdated technology and HVAC, construction and noise throughout the day, and alleyway noises and lights throughout the night.

No discount for major construction underway.

Not to mention there’s construction no room service  and a rude staff.

My only complaints were no access to the front outdoor area due to construction and I didn't care for the scent of the shampoo and conditioner provided in the showers - seemed cheap for a nice hotel.

Stayed her for a night during a business trip and got a little nervous when I pulled up because they were under construction.

The worst of it was the construction activity which was quite noisy.

We arrived to a construction zone, terrible and scary first impression.

Upon arrival, I noticed a significant amount of construction being done and my concerns for rest grew significantly.



There is quite major construction work going on that took place outside of the hotel that I was not informed about.

If we had known there was construction planned, we would NOT have stayed at the hotel until it was done.

This all might change as the construction comes to completion

(I recall some construction when we were there last, and the staff wasn't as personable).

Construction is supposed to be completed in the next 3-5 weeks (I think).

They said the construction would go from 9;30 til 4;30,

The entire lobby is under construction and some of the rooms.

Despite having to check in through the garage, the staff couldn't be more friendly despite the adversity caused by the construction.

- I understand there were going through construction (which is cool), and the occasional noise and dust is fine.

There was no warning that the first floor is completely under construction.

Really enjoyed the the l’occitane amenities and really missed the free breakfast they used to provide.

Tastefully decorated, delicious breakfast included, complimentary wine/beer 6-8pm, free town car shuttle service, cozy beds, quiet rooms, located in quiet neighborhood - Tartines bakery due to open across street/very convenient to all happenings in Santa Monica!

As far as amenities go, we were delighted that the Ambrose offers a generous complimentary continental breakfast with lots of healthy choices available, a nightly happy hour, and a free short range shuttle service.

The Ambrose was very comfortable, very clean, and had all the amenities I needed including fast Internet, free breakfast, and a quiet location.

The included breakfast was very high end and generous.

Breakfast which was included in our rate exceeded expectations.

We stayed here while my father had surgery at UCLA Santa Monica orthopedics.

It is a great small hotel very close to all the UCLA medical facilities and it is in convenient walking distance to almost everything.

but not too far away from the beach and from Westwood and the UCLA,

The location is ideal for those visiting UCLA hospitals/medical centers,

We had a couple of rooms with family here for UCLA graduation.

We were in town for a doctors appointment at the UCLA spinal center (Dr. Holly is amazing!

Then the A/C in the room was so loud it kept waking me up all night.

There was no hot water, power or air conditioning due to the outage.

3- They failed our wedding party with the bar situation, delivery of gift bags and discounts for the night/most of a day that there were no lights, no hot water and no air conditioning!

The AC unit in the room was super noisy and he had to turn it off to be able to sleep and we were still hearing the AC from the neighboring room.

Air conditioning vent in room rattled like a freight train coming through every time the unit started blowing.

though it was a bit to cold to have a swim the pool area had a gas heater so you could still sit outside.

My only qualm with the room was the AC was kind of loud,

The air conditioner/heater was so loud it woke me up everytime it kicked on.

Super loud air conditioner made sleep difficult.

Placed in a room with very noisy A/C unit, unable to sleep while running.

Dust in the vents and mold in the shower.

Not sure if this was just our specific room or if other rooms had a similar issue with the AC units.

I slept horribly for 2/4 nights constant heavy walking above the kid jumping up and down on the floor air conditioner noisy, Beds are not comfortable.

The only complaint was the air conditioner was a little loud

Bedding was stained, bathroom had rust, the A/C unit in the room was so loud it would wake me from my sleep.

Plus we couldn't figure out the thermostat, and the front desk told us that no one would be there until 6:30am to look at it and it would be illegal for someone to come into our room.

The aircon in the room was very noisy , it kept waking us up and while boarding the shuttle to the airport in the middle they don’t have a checking process and a guy who we believe were high on drugs jumped in and stared at us while seating in front of us and looking at our luggage.

It is a great location and is very quiet, despite being so close to the airport.

We had visited friends and a relative in suburbs of LA and were ending a short trip to LA near the airport.

We had a very long flight and decided to grab a hotel close to the airport before boarding our next flight.

The location is perfect for running over to Redondo Beach as well as being near the airport and stadium.

Its location is perfect, close to the airport, the Sofi Stadium and the beach.

This hotel is nice and close to the airport, and only a couple minutes on foot away from the Flyte Garage where we were able to catch a shuttle bus to So-Fi Stadium for a concert.

Room was clean no funky smell our junior suite was very spacious bathroom was well kept didnt had a chance to check other amenities beside the next day breakfast when we got down most of the food was pretty empty and not much options to be honest no meat no sausage or bacon and bacon rid bits was empty for the omelette all we had was omelette for me and the bf cereal for my daughter and waffles.

Looks like there is also a shuttle to the Irport, and free breakfast  in the morning, and a fire pit out by the pool

I had to call the dispatch back several times, and interestingly each time I spoke to the same dude (the phone number is not to a call center,

but I found him obnoxious…and I’m sure he thinks the same about me if I told him I didn’t like him calling me “boss.”  Is it a millennial thing?

I’ve had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges and also their corporate office.

They could also answer their phone at the front desk a little more conscientiously.

but we chose not to utilize it because you have to call them to be picked up and we didn’t want to wait for a shuttle upon our return.

You need to call the hotel when you have landed and they then dispatch the shuttle.

I am from UK and this is an expensive phone call for me, also meant hanging around for 45 to 50 minutes .

They don’t answer the phones at the front desk so I had to go down and show them pictures of the damage and left behind food for fear of being billed for the damage.

I had to call the hotel twice for them to come get my fiance and myself.

We are a family of 5, so the 2 Q and a double sofa bed fit the bill for a silly early wake up call to get to LAX.

This is mainly due to the fact they are tasked with many conflicting jobs:  front desk, answering phones, tending bar, and taking food orders.

Had issues with phone reception for T-Mobile, hope Hyatt can work with T-Mobile to fix this.

They didn't call me ahead of time to let me know my room wouldn't be ready, and the didn't care that they didn't have a room for me in the first place

But it seems an employee forgot to do this in the morning, and I couldn't get anyone to check me out over the phone, so I proceeded to the front desk to check out, which honestly isn't even a big deal to me

You will get faster Internet by tethering your tablet/laptop to your mobile phone’s LTE connection.

At check out we were assured that there was no fees, however one of our cards was in fact charged, after a phone call to the hotel and again being informed that we.should not have booked through a third party a refund was instructed, 2 days later another charge was presented

One of the guest hosts even let me use her charger while I was waiting for my Uber because my phone was on 1% and had realized I left my charger.

My only complaint with the room is that the shower curtain smelled of mildew and you can visibly see pink slime on the bottom of the curtain.

I was awaken at 4am with a low battery on the smoke detector which continued to go off for hours while trying to sleep.

but the room was not clean there were boogers in the shower.

The staff was really amazing and were able to accommodate us to a better room after receiving one that smelled bad/ dust like and a poor quality sofa bed with ripped sheets.It seemed that they didn't do thorough cleaning in between stays as you could see the mold between some tiles.

but three of the four they showed me had an odd smell.

Hotel room smelled bad and our neighbors were doing drugs and partying late into the night.

but the first room we were assigned had the distinct smell of weed as well as some vomit on the hallway floor outside the room.

Despite the no marijuana smoking or vaping signs it is obvious and clear it's still happening.

I nor my eight year old daughter are smokers.

but it was the only hotel available that I could’ve checked in due to my age 
(20).. the carpet kinda of had a weird smell, i didn’t really like .. overall it is a nice hotel but not the best

The rooms that have not been remodeled are in terrible condition being outdated and grimy and stinky, bed was not comfortable.

The entire hotel reeks of both cigarette and marijuana smoke.

but musty smelling, cold pool, not much of a hottub but at least there is one.

The overall experience was good - 50 dollar for parking was not fun, the room was inferior that the one that I payed, the room was smelling as fried chicken and the AC was loud as an old tractor and I needed to turn it off to sleep.
