It's a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location---a five minute walk to either Buckingham Palace or Westminster Abbey.

Buckingham Palace is at the end of the street, so royalty are neighbors.

The location is perfect, close to Buckingham Palace and Westminster.

That said, its very well located with the underground being a stones throw from the property, even the bus is a 5 minutes walk, so connectivity is sorted, the Buckingham Palace is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, so is the St. James Park, very touristy

I had a very memorable stay at this hotel as it is just 6 minutes walk from the Buckingham palace beautifully decorated and maintained and the junior suites are a very good option for a family of 3 to stay good food very authentic Indian food  good amiebience and the staff is very polite and helpful 
I had all Indian restaurant   But taj hotel Indian food is the best than that of banaras michellim star hotel

It's walking distance from the Buckingham palace and very close to all the important attractions in London.

A great location (walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Westminster and St. James' Park).

Close proximity to Buckingham Palace, Green & St James Park and Victoria railway Station is an added plus.

Let’s start with the location, which is nothing short of perfect- Close to everywhere you want to visit including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, The Eye, Hyde Park, Mayfair, and Buckingham Palace!

Well located, just few steps from Buckingham Palace and Saint James Park underground station.

Hotel reception is nice and location too Buckingham palace at the end if the road and nice high street with eating places .The hotel reception was nice

The hotel is centrally located close to St James & Victoria Stations and Buckingham Palace.

It was also in a great location, close walking distance to the Buckingham Palace, and also near to Big Ben.

It's in a great location - literally a block from Buckingham Palace, and the breakfast (included in my rate) was really good.

The location was ideal, 5-10 min walk from Victoria station/underground and 5 min walk to Buckingham Palace.

The hotel is old and requires further care and update to the hallways furniture, rooms and specially bathrooms.

Typical of English hotels in old buildings, one had to walk through rather complicated corridors to reach the room.

Refusing to go to reception dressed in a bath robe, we called again, and after a total of about 15 minutes of waiting in the hallway, a gentleman arrived and unlocked the doors for us.

Dead flowers were left on the table in the hallway for days.

The hallway walls and carpet are beat up, and the furniture is cheap and damaged in the rooms.

Room 317 were up until 3 am sorting the shopping out throwing boxes on to the corridor, speaking really loud banging the door open & shut all night..

Spa ridiculously busy and would not adopt a booking system 

Premier rooms far away from reception - a gazillion maze-like corridors to follow.

If I had to nitpick I’d say that the cocktails were a little expensive, and that the corridors leading to the rooms looked slightly shabbier than the lobby and the rooms themselves.

No problems with noise from the corridors or outside, although there must be an Underground line right below the hotel, as you could hear the sound and vibration of trains,

however the odd layout of the room saw the 2 chairs in a small nook, immediately facing a wall at the end of a small corridor.

but sadly the carpets in the hallway outside mye room, and in the room, were old, dirty and smelly.

Hotel was extremely expensive considering the old, unpainted rooms, hallways that smelled like backed up sewers.

however had to go via the courtyard as the internal corridors were a labyrinth.

Our “classic” room was small, in need of redecoration and down a nasty corridor.

Strange smell in the hallway on my floor (6th floor).

The location is 10 / 10; Check in experience was 6/10; Room would be 7/10; breakfast would be 9/10.

While the location is excellent and the hotel is clean and the staff friendly, the beds are the worst I have ever encountered.

We like the location and have been very satisfied with our room and any dealings we have had with staff.

We walked almost exclusively which says volumes about the location and many of the walks are through the parks.

The location can’t be beat; the service is exceptional.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable.

We had split our stay in London with our family to be in two different locations for ease of getting around with two small boys (ages 3 & 4).

It would also have been helpful had the person taking the booking on the phone  warned us about the diversion and had a map of such which the Hotel could have emailed us at the time of booking.

We in fact ended up having to call to get it sent up several hours later, at which point we were already too tired.

Had to call out the maintenance team because none of my sockets, TV etc would work, they came about 2 hours later when i was getting into bed.

Then when someone responds, I sometimes get an irate person irritated why I was calling that number when I only dialed the shortcut from your phone. 4.

The concierge was terrible - he didn't call me back multiple times on dinner reservations.

There were many occasions where our room was not made up for the entire day and we had to call up the housekeeping at 11 in the night when we returned to our hotel asking to clean up the room and their response used to be sorry sir the housekeeping staff has left for the day.

v. After repeated calls to the front desk to request for the duty manager she came up 1.5 hours from my first request, and did try to be helpful.

We received a call back to our colleague’s room to say that there was no one available to help us.

The clientele spoiled it (watching Loud social media videos on mobiles while using the relaxation loungers).

While in London, we had two mishaps - my daughter’s IPhone was stolen, and I fell on the sidewalk and sustained some injuries.

Her manner was abrupt and she also charged me twice for some local calls.

And when we asked to talk to the manager to explain this brilliant policy, we were ignored and they did not call back.

After calling up they said this was normal practice and the security deposit will be refunded.

We did have a few hiccups in being unable to reach housekeeping reception or room service from the room phone

In our family stay at 10 pm in the night maintenance technician rang the bell and came in to fix a toilet leak in another room below our room.

We checked in and there was nothing there so I had to call and ask- the reception staff didn’t know about it

We managed to log on via our mobile phone

However, we did face some problems with my birthday cake even after quite a few calls and emails before reaching there

Booked on telephone requesting quiet area due to medical condition related to hypersensitivity to noida d was guaranteed this Spoke with advanced booking on 3 occasions to clarify and they stated I would have quiet area overlooking the courtyard Neither of these promises materialised sadly Paid over £1000 and was disgusted at the untruths they told me Shocking experience to say the least

They made us feel as valued, and as important as anyone who may walk in the door.

Our luxury stay started the moment we walked into the stunning lobby and everything and everyone about this hotel just continued to impress.

It was convenient to all the places we had plans to visit and could walk everywhere.

We were able to walk to the changing of the guard and didn’t need to fight traffic!

Eventually I parked up nearby and walked to the Hotel & met up with the X Keys Concierge.

I did morning runs in St. James park, and we were able to walk to almost anywhere in London.

On Friday morning, we leave after breakfast for a walk around London and come back to the hotel at 2PM as we have Spa treatments booked for 3:15PM.

Victoria Station is also just a 10-minute walk away (from there you can take a train to Gatwick).

I was able to walk everywhere (15 mins to Big Ben, 5 mins to Buck House, 40 mins to Oxford street etc….).

You are five minute walk to the tube stop.

And, in 2 mins, you can walk up to Buckingham Palace.

Mega close to Buck Pal, (3 min walk) where I had a ticket for the Jubilee Party In The Palace.

The location is great, just a 5 minute walk from Buckingham Palace, Westminster and the royal parks.

A very short walk to Buckingham palace and shopping!

Tube is so easy, 10 mins into Victoria which is close to Buckingham palace.

to get to Buckingham palace by myself, I would think with a bigger room you would get a better view ?

The district line for the underground connect Earls Court Station to the historical places like Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London  and Even as far as Hampton Court.

We are in good shape and workout often so we were able to walk to all the main London sights from the hotel including St. Paul's, The Tower of London, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, etc.

The location was convenient to what we wanted to do in our 18 hour stay, which was to see Harrods store and Buckingham Palace.

It is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The bathrooms are spotless and serene, fixtures and amenities are of a very good quality.

The staff is warm and responsive, the rooms are lovely and so clean, and the neighborhood is terrific!

The facilities were clean, upkept and exactly what I needed.

Interiors are vibrant, fun and full of character, common spaces are always clean and in order.

but spotless with nice bathrooms, fridge, coffeemaker.

Thoroughly enjoyed the well-appointed room.

The team was pleasant and welcoming, the rooms were quiet, clean and well-appointed, and the beds were super comfy.

The hotel was clean and well presented- I expected that and the small kitchenette was brilliant for breakfasts and there are plenty of eating places nearby for dinner.

There were few minor issues with the room, such as the mini-fridge not being cold enough,

Unfortunately this was not possible in the bathroom, which was incredibly cold!

We couldn't get the heater to work though, so it was a little cold esp since it was winter.

The only thing I would suggest is for there to be breakfast options within the hotel and probably to install a heater in the bathrooms as they can quite cold during the winter months.

What we didn't like about the room was the view of a cement half wall and my wife commented that it always seemed cold.

This time, because the bathroom is a lot bigger, it does get a bit cold at night.

My only issue was that the fridge wasn't very cold and I had medication that needed to be refrigerated, a problem solved by helpful staff bringing me lots of ice whenever I needed it.

Also, the refrigerator control didn't seem to make any difference to how cold it got.

Only slight problem was the room was very cold.

First: the shower ran hot and cold the entire time, mostly cold, and not appreciated in winter - especially not for someone who has very long hair like mine which needs to get washed!

The heating was noisy and not very effective (but it was an exceptionally cold night).

but on the fifth floor in the morning the water was often cold and pressure low.

but after waiting almost 2 hours for this to happen, I had no choice but to run under the cold tap.

They were  very noisy early in the morning and late at night and constantly going into eachother’s rooms, banging doors etc.

Also the door to the room needs more sound protection; it felt like people outside were in our room.

The only downside is for anyone mobility-challenged, as it does take a few steps to get to the front door.

The hotel slipped a note under our door saying the housekeeping staff needed to invade our privacy every 24 hours or a manager would.

but there was a lovely patio that we could open the doors up to which helped make it feel more open.

you can hear everything going on outside the bedroom door.

The elevator has no annoying sound when it arrives on the floor and the door opens and closes absolutely smoothly and gently.

but the placement of it in relation to the closet and the bathroom meant doors were constantly banging into each other.

Only complain is that there are too many stairs, front door, the corner before i arrive my room. .etc.

but we did hear our neighbors from across the hall, even with both doors closed.

The front of house staff took my luggage as soon as I opened the door.

A staff member came up and was listening at their door ( we could see through our little peep hole;) ,

But with the kitchen in a cupboard and a M&S Food Hall a few doors down from the station, I don't need an overpriced hotel breakfast.

The kitchenette was within arms reach near the bed and to open/close the folding doors to the ktichenette, you had to move aside a chair each time.

When we opened the door of the new room on the next day, we saw a man trying to fix the air-conditioning.

The door should be a a sliding door so you have room in the bathroom.

The one big negative thing about this hotel is when we stayed in room G10, we were next to the luggage storage, I think that we hear them open and close the door all the time and in the morning, the house keeper cleans too early that they will definitely wake you up.

The front door is secure and accessible through your key card.

A room card was required to open the front door, which gave us an extra feeling of security.

The hotel is a converted asylum/home, so there are small staircases around the hotel that you have to manage with your luggage as well as stairs to reach the front door of the hotel from the street.

Location on a quiet street a short walk from Earl's Court Tube station.

The location is also great  being only a block from the London underground.

The residence is located in a beautiful middle-class area of London, a few steps from the subway.

Location also excellent easy walk to underground, M&S food, other eateries, shops, quiet and safe.

As we don’t have anything to compare it in London, we would recommend this hotel based on the location AND the quiet neighborhood it is located.

This Hotel is located within a half hour to 45 minutes walking distance to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.

The location is perfect, in a really nice and quiet neighbourhood with lots of good dining  options nearby.

It was in a great location on a pretty side street, with easy access to transit, restaurants, pubs, shopping.

everything is perfect, from the welcome drink to the availability of the staff and their kindness.

The receptionistes were so nice, efficient and helpfull.

The staff were very friendly and even came up to our room to show us how everything worked.

The staff was helpful and cheerful and it was such a quick walk to the Tube station and so easy to get around!

The front desk staff was so friendly, especially Yash.

A kitchenette with a filtered water tap was a big plus, and the staff were wonderful.

The highlight was the staff  Yash and Angeline, who made it their mission to make my stay be the most enjoyable time ever.

Edgardo, Vash & staff were brilliant and helpful with all of our requests.

The staff at the Resident hotel gave us such a wonderful experience when we stayed here with our family for our 40th wedding anniversary.

15-minute walk to Kensington and all its sites.

It was a easy 5 minute walk to Earls Court Station that is serviced by the Piccadilly, circle and district lines.

The brief walk to Earl's Court Tube station is very handy.

The nearest tube station is Earl’s Court (less than 5 min walk from the hotel), which means you can easily reach almost anywhere in the centre  of London in 15-20 minutes.

The neighborhood is safe and charming and it's easy to walk to many areas of London such as Chelsea or Kensington.

It is a 5 minute walk to Earl’s Court tube station and there are supermarkets, pubs and small shops close to the station.

but the Earl’s Court tube station is less than a 5 minute walk.

It is about 3 minutes walk from the closest underground station.

Located in a beautiful neighborhood, a short walk from museums, Earl's Court tube, and restaurants.

but wanted to try a different area and The Resident is placed nicely between Kensington and Earls Court in a nice quiet neighbourhood and only a five minute walk to a tube station.

Within three to five minutes walk you are at the metro, supermarket, laundromat, Pret, several cafes, and two pubs.

The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Earls Court station

So, after a somewhat sweaty day, it was a huge relief to walk into my cool room and grab a cold drink from the small refrigerator.

I went out on the afternoon to pay my respects at Buckingham Palace, on the death of Her Majesty, The Queen.

With Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, London Eye, Horse Guards Parade, The Mall and Buckingham palace all within 15 mins walk and St James park only a stones throw away.

Absolutely perfect location 2 mins from tube station and walking distance to westminster abbey, St James Park and Buckingham Palace etc.

Firstly the location is really good, within walking distance of Big Ben, the big wheel and Buckingham palace.

This is a fantastic location within easy walking distance to subway and bus stations, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, the theater district, and more.

You can also walk to St James Park and Buckingham Palace which isn’t too far.

We were in London for the jubilee, the hotel is ideally located for the major attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.

This hub is in an ideal location for visiting Westminster: just a few minutes walk from Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and St James's Park  

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is such a good hotel, just a stone’s throw from Parliament, St James’s park, Buckingham Palace, Whitehall and Victoria to name just a few locations.

We stayed here for my daughter's Duke of Edinburgh Award at Buckingham Palace and it was a 10 minute walk away.
