Some broken handles on the hot breakfast trays so were too hot to use

All the drawers either had missing or broken handles making them useless, the safe was broken and the bathroom in dire need of having some money invested in it with its broken and cracked tiles. .

The bathroom had broken tiles, damaged bath front board and the sink cold tap leaked.

Rooms are tired and I and I had to change as shower was broken and air con did not work.

The red emergency telephone in the lift was broken and not functioning.

Bathroom had mould around the bath & the bath/shower screen, broken bathroom floor tiles, sink water literally took minutes to drain away.

We moved room 3 times due to unclean rooms and a range of poorly maintained facilities, including damaged door frames, smashed locks with dangerous sharp edges, air controls hanging off the wall, a broken bed frame with stained fabric.

I'm not sure whether the air conditioning system had broken down or was switched off

after 30 mins looking they realised they were typing my name wrong.. lifts broken so 2 lifts for 14 floors.

Lifts have clearly been broken for a long time - the lights and

I was told by the desk to call down to security to have the safe opened and they informed me the safe in this room was broken as well.

Air-con was broken, took multiple complaints before maintenance came to visit, 6 hours after the first complaint.

Door knobs missing burnt marks on carpet mouldy bathroom broken aircon  (and this is just the up graded suit we were 
moved to).

However the air conditioning was broken which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep on both nights we were there.

Air cooling system broken in room for entire stay.

It doesn't matter how clean the place is you can't get away from the threadbare carpet, the dowdy and tired paintwork, the gloomy corridors, dated bathroom and very stained and grubby chairs in the breakfast dining room and broken AC.

but it was broken and so we felt unsafe for the rest of our stay.

It was cold, concrete filled, shabby, dull and dank.

A call to reception and we were told the air con was off as it was too cold!

When we came back, our rooms were so cold, I couldn’t be in it.

Our shower had a temperature regulator problem, so went from cold to boiling hot in seconds!

Just proceeded to produce two room key cards and the interaction was very cold and not welcoming.

There’s a bath I ran cold water in to keep cool.

The shower goes hot and cold so we just decided to have a freezing cold shower on such a hot day rather than burn ourselves.

The shower in the room went from red hot to cold whilst using it, we had no cold water to the bath and basin taps on one occasion and if I hadn’t have found the maintenance man myself it would not have been resolved in time for me and my wife to make our reservation.

Only negatives, cleanliness of bath area in bathroom (hair in plug hole and mildew in bath), the shower ran hot and cold, the bed was pushed up to the wall so one person was against the wall, a mix of modern and dated decor.

Having started the following day with little sleep and a shower that ran hot one minute and cold the next and being desperate for the 2nd night to go better I spoke to Reception about the aircon.

but didn't inform anyone else to resolve the issue. Other issues that weren't dealbreakers but contributed to an already poor experience:
- There was one washcloth for a double (2 people room) and 0 for each day after that
- The shower water kept shifting between hot and cold
- All the rooms apparently have heavy (fire?)

That evening we discovered that the shower changed from hot to cold water while we were using it.

Breakfast is not too bad—there’s a nice range of hot and cold offerings,

At this point I will take any room with air con as I’m over heating Amd just laying in a ice cold bath trying to cool down.

Bathroom tab wasn’t working properly no pressure for cold water I reported 3 times even though very friendly staff

Bathroom was dirty and shower kept going hot and cold.

The sink drain was rusty; the water in the shower would go from very cold to extremely hot and then back again constantly; one of the lights in the ceiling was hanging by wires, etc.

Regardless of the temperature I put it on it continually cycled between hot and cold so it was hard to use.

Now instead of scalding/freezing, it was almost bearable hot to cold.

Arrived in the early evening to the hotel, great location

Otherwise a fabulous location and restaurant/bar looked busy

Stayed here for the London marathon in a suite, the location was perfect and the room was quiet and had everything you would need.

We stayed here for 2 nights, hotel well located and easy to travel around.

Premier location overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge with friendly staff.

Excellent location for a hotel, great views and surroundings.

All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely book again, the location is fantastic and it was lovely walking out to the view of tower bridge each morning.

It's a great location right next to Tower Bridge and opposite the Tower of London with a short walk to bus stops and the tube.

Great location by Tower Bridge and 2 minute walk from Tower Hill tube station.

The hotel was in an ideal location next to the Tower bridge, and the Tower of London.

Their Breakfast is very underwhelming, quality and choice of food is poor and it is a major hassle to get in:they insist on a pointless 'you will be seated' process, that means 10 min and more wait time in a queue at 7:10 in the morning, even though the breakfast room is almost empty,

Air con was very poor and had staff disrupt our sleep.

Unfortunately the man's ability to understand and speak English was so poor, after 5 mins of repeating the question he eventually said i needed yo go outside and use stairs round back
I gave up and asked the concierge who directed me to them (there were next to lifts).

When he arrived he said good morning I explained what had happened during our stay and he replied ‘I am unable to give you a refund!’ Firstly I didn’t request one, secondly having heard others having free room upgrades on arrival I was appalled at such a poor attitude.

However, my main gripes are reserved for the poor quality of service we experienced.

My poor parents in law who had the other room I booked wish they had slept in the lobby to get some cool.

When we tried to ring room service no one answered the phone which is poor for a 24/7 hotel, or so the information said.

We had a double room which was comfortable.

Check in easy and well managed, cleanliness of hotel excellent, all elevators working and quick, breakfast excellent, views amazing and balloons and cake delivered to our room for our daughters birthday.

I liked the electronic communication of 'do not disturb/please clean the room'.

Did not seem interested with my booking request for nice room with bridge view, food and cleanliness was excellent and room was serviced well each day.

Outside of the room, the hotel was really nice, clean and looked really nice.

When we got the room it really was a lovely room with a great view up the river.

Rooms are not updated or modernized, which we liked because it gave it the London charm we wanted.

They have clearly spent money on the reception area and restaurants so why not the rooms?

In luck… the hotel receptions said 10-15 mins a room will be ready.

Our 6th floor room was a typical London tourist room, yet comfortable, clean and quite spacious.

Our rooms were very nice and the views were breathtaking.

Highly recommend getting a room with the view of Tower Bridge.

Breakfast whilst plentiful wasn't best quality, bread rolls were stale, no vegetarian sausages  (did ask).

It gets better when we arrived at the room - the bath was filthy.

This resulted in a stench coming from the drain in the bathroom and the damp smell ended up permeating our clothes.

During our first night the room's smoke alarm activated twice due to someone smoking in an other room !

Old facilities, dirty rooms, musty, dark, and generally not as advertised.

There was mold on the walls in the bathroom, the light in the shower leaked water posing a electrical shocking hazard, and it smelled of mildew.

The bathroom is disgusting, dirty stains all over and again very old.

The corridors smelled awfully and made me nauseous every time I had to go to the elevator or to my room.

There was a smell of damp in the bathroom, the room was extremely dusty, fridge not stocked, carpet not hoovered - hair clips still on the floor, drainage issues in bathroom, a fan that did not do the job intended.

Yellow toliet seat with cleaning chemical still dripping down the toiled seat.

Nice view river side, small room smells of smoke, water left for guests half drunk, dusty, tv does not work!

My room had a terrible mildew or mould problem in the bathroom, which was a bit worrying.

Once you open the window for some cooling air, the smell from the river makes you wish the windows were glued shut!

but room needs upgrading, bathroom stank and needs work.

One thing I really CANNOT recommend is the coffee at this hotel - either sachet in the room (stale and not great) or the breakfast room option (bitter and unpleasant).

Lovely view of the tower bridge from our room.

The view of the Tower Bridge was breathtaking.

Lovely surroundings close to Thames and saw the Brazilian boat U27 going up the Thames through Tower Bridge a welcomed and unexpected sight to see.

A nice and friendly hotel that is well placed next to Tower Bridge.

The hotel location ,next to Tower Bridge, is perfect for views of the river Thames and surrounding well know buildings.

The hotel is located in close vicinity to tower bridge and the castle.

I was looking forward to staying there as the hotel has perfect location and great views of Tower Bridge.

Let me start with the Pros:
-friendly staff
-great location (right next to the Tower and Tower Bridge)
-5 minutes walk to the Underground station "Tower Hill"
-plenty of dining options around the hotel and the hotel itself offers inside and outdoor dining
-quiet location

Cons:
-Hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel as advertised.

Setting was lovely overlooking the marina .

It is near everything and has the best view in London.

Hotel very nicely situated with a gorgeous view over St Katherine’s Dock.

Without a doubt this is the best view from a hotel window we have ever had, Tower Bridge, The Shard and the a view of the Thames.

The hotel bar, Xi, has a great view of the bridge and delicious food.

Friendly environment, great food and amazing views!

but you could spend your entire trip waiting on lifts and when they do come don't expect there to be space for you.

Long waiting time in front of The elevators, we had to step stairs!!!!!

would not advise trying to get a cab from the Hotel, was 45 minute wait.

but you can easily wait 5-10 minutes at busy times and it's enough to be properly annoying.

Hotel reception not responsive to requests to deal with repair in room - locked wash hand basin for duration of 4 day stay Slow to allocate room chosen and paid for ;had to wait in another room while issue was supposed to being resolved

In the meanwhile people were checking in and going

to their room while I continued waiting.

-completely OUTDATED; place is aged, needs serious upgrades throughout
-no fridge (mini fridge door was sealed off)
-no exhaust fan in bathroom, so bathroom steamed up when taking shower in addition to already having the balmy 79 degrees present
-Elevators are SOOO slow, had to wait up to 10 minutes to get from 7th floor to 1st floor, eventually discovered the freight elevator
-Breakfast was disappointing to say the least, thankfully our breakfast was included in the rate we paid;

The Lifts were a nightmare as you would wait around 10/15 minutes to go up or back down.

Waiting for lift can be annoying at times, room is due to a profound modernisation,

Another trip to reception where we insisted to speak to the manager, they told us to wait another 30minutes.

Breakfast should have more things to eat and you cannot wait a lot of time to seat.

Only two of the four lifts appeared to be working, and we waited for nearly 20 minutes, with a growing number of other guests, for a lift to come up to the 10th floor.

although there was some sort of issue with the system so we had to wait 15 minutes.

but bit frustrating to turn up after 3pm with room still not ready so had to wait around until ready.

Another thing is the front desk and the breakfast wait staffs speak at ultra low tones, we never hear what they say without asking them to repeat several times.

The 5-10 minute wait for lifts is ridiculous.

Aside from the fire alarm, it was a long wait to get an elevator.

I have waited a long time to visit John Brown who are the last working foundry in the country 
I was not disappointed by the tour through the various workshops following how a bell is made, tuned and also how the equipment for hanging and ringing of the bell are made.

Excellent room, tastefull design, delicious breakfast,
location near the metro, just five minutes away from the Tower bridge and the the Tower museum.

This hotel is a great location, our room was fancy and clean, the view from our room was impressive, and staff is friendly ( the woman running the breakfast area was also professional and nice).

Good breakfast, great choice of food and the guy cooking the eggs was a star, he was so kind and helpful!

The salmon was delicious, and I love the way my mom and I were treated at the dining area.

During breakfast, Abdul was very attentive to our needs and provided us with great service!

We were greeted by Abdul who was very kind and gave us a nice table, food came in great timing and was very delicious and filling.

Food is extremely convenient as well if you’re here on business (breakfast buffet is incredible).

The breakfast was great, lots to chose from and over a long period if time.

though so we went there and had cheap & cheerful cooked breakfast.

once again, perfect service and the food was delicious.

Breakfast at the hotel is superb with a wide choice of delicious options including a freshly made omelette of your choice.

Ther was a great choice of foods at breakfast and my 10 year old loved the swimming pool.

Staff, Room, breakfeast, everithing was perfect.

In the morning we really enjoyed the breakfast, everything was really fresh and such a good selection.

We stayed on one of the hottest nights of the year, the air con in our room was broken and there were no windows that could be opened.

I also had to beg the staff multiple times to help clean up broken glass in our bathroom when I dropped a glass.

There were little hiccups like broken AC and safety box

Sink drain stopper was broken so the sink always filled when used.

The fridge door was broken so unusable and I had to again ask reception for tea bags as there were none.

There were some minor glitches:  temporary out-of-service elevator, lack of towels in the spa and a  broken foot massage in the spa;

Unfortunately let down by a number of items (fridge, light) being broken.

Another elevator was broken all those three days I stayed there.

The pool area, foot spas shower spas didn't work and again just little things broken and poorly cleaned.

There were also broken light switches and no explanation about how the lights worked.

The fridge wouldn't open and the hairdryer was broken.

however when we returned nothing had been done to rectify the issues apart from someone coming to remove the broken handle off the window.

We go back to our room and whacked the heating up full blast as it was late Jan (freezing) after a whilst we were still cold, The heating was broken!!!

I was told it was “broken” and will be fixed in an hour or so.

The room wasn t clean had a broken wc and cracked hand basin and not enough towels for the number of occupants.

Got send a tiny soap so bought some shower gel from local sainsburys 😒
* shower temperature handle was broken so was always too hot hence used bath 
* minibar was locked due to covid

However we never received our £10 retail voucher and two glasses of champagne that were included as part of the treatment…

This is my first bad review and i feel very sorry for the staff that worked there that have to deal with so many complaints that were received that night due to the queues and broken lifts.

Inside the cupbords was a broken empty mini bar with door fallen off, 2 broken radiators with wheels broken off.

Eventually the receptionist stated that the heating was broken completely in our room.

However the bath tub was broken as no way of changing the water temperature so it only came out cold.

it is a budget establishment with poor quality rooms lack of functioning aircon,lack of room service and staff who couldnt care less about the guests.

We ended up on floor 9 of 14 in the East tower with an incredibly poor view of nothing at all from room 0914.

This Hotel on Prescott street is overrated, poor quality and I suffered bad customer service (except for the day manager).

I will choose a different hotel next time, as I don’t feel the location makes up for the poor customer service and so have scored 2 based on this.

but I suspect that because it was so full of dust.Oh yeah TV hit and miss due to poor signal .

Only the Bar staff service was really poor.

We came to the hotel for an afternoon out - we were very disappointed to say the least

The service in the bar is was extremely poor - our order arrived incorrectly and took ages to drive (ie 30 mins) for a salad and cold dishes

The tea served was cold & we had to ask for it.

Disappointed in this poor customer service.

It was a smaller room, with no seating area, a poor view.

Fresh fruit choice was very poor and only chopped melon prepared.

Stayed for one night and whilst the bed was comfortable, the stay was ruined by poor room service and what looked like a blood stain on the bedsheets.

However, the pool and spa facilities are poor and not cleaned regularly.

This hotel is being trashed by this poor level of servicing.

Overall it was a very poor service abs I won’t be back anytime soon.

Staff not trained sufficiently, quality of fixtures and fittings are poor standard.

In regards to the Hotel room it’s most definitely not worth the money, it’s unhygienic, a health and safety risk and poor quality.

The bathroom was poor, the Shower Door leaked, the temperature tap on the bath did not move and there was rust on many of the fixtures.

Food was pretty poor and not much for menu choices.

I rang the hotel who immediately went to search my room

The room and amenities were great and it’s ideally situated in easy reach of tourist spots without being too busy.

Both rooms had a fancy notice system for housekeeping requests.

The hotel was clean and we found our room very comfortable.

Great location:
+ few steps to Train Station that brings you straight to ABBA, 
+ 5 Minutes walk to Underground and Hop-on-Hopp-Off Bus Stop,

+ Walk distance to Tower Bridge
+ Fair price-performance ratio (nice rooms / Gym /Spa)
++ TRUSTWORTHY!!!

but that didn’t seem to affect us. Lovely room, clean, well equipped (but no room bin!)

Room was ready before the allotted time .

He upgraded my room with ease showed me to my room and made sure I was being taken care of 24/7.

This is my second stay, both times I arrived early and the staff were very accommodating and made sure my room was ready.

He ensured we got a early check in and an upgraded room!

You gave us the best room, free drinks from the bar and allows us to stay little longer after check out to enjoy the beautiful spa facilities that the hotel have got.
