 - While I could "technically" see the Thames, I would not call it a "Thames View", since I had to stand right at the window and crane my neck in order to see an approximately 30 foot stretch of the river.

 - Due to staff shortages rooms will not be cleaned.
 - Don’t understand why housekeeping doesn’t check the rooms.
 - We spoke to reception about the soap and was told the room would be cleaned at 3.
 - Not as busy and a little cleaner,
 - You have to request specifically for your room to be cleaned also which seemed like a burden to the staff (last time I checked this was basic in most hotels).

 - There is a 12.5% service charge to pay when there
 - It is expensive
 - The bar, while nice, was perhaps a little expensive and we didn’t get a window seat, which was a bit of a shame (though really not the end of the world).
 - but the food, drink and service really don’t live up to expectations, especially when the prices are such a premium.
 - There was a problem with the booking - a “system error” had let me book a room at a too low price .

 - Me and my mother had very good time with Momo, unforgetable experience in the Shard💘 He is such a nice guy, one of the things I apreciate more about the restaurants its the waiters and I love when they look like good people.
 - Mira gave excellent service and made our experience at the Shard.

 - however was totally disappointing,in every other hotel I’ve stopped in if you are a resident you can turn up and have a drink within licensing hours at any time with this hotel NOT a chance you have to book in advance.
 - but nothing was done with this information - these details had to be filled in again on arrival - why bother asking for it in advance if you’re not going to update the booking accordingly?
 - Notifying them of a fish allergy in advance when booking for them to bring oysters for starters??
 - Be sure to book a slot in advance as the numbers are limited as the space is relatively small.
 - but you'll need to book in advance!

 - Again a complete mess - Tyrone done his best, even calling over the restaurant manager, he might as well of been idle for she was no help … how could she help she “wasn’t there that night “ seriously poor !
 - Food was a joke , such poor quality. 8.
 - What poor customer service and lack of compassion.
 - but that's the only positive as the customer experience is simply poor.
 - Buffet was very poor selection and disappointed to see guests were not wearing masks and breathing all over the food.

 - Water was pouring through dining room windows and when flagged the whole hotel has leaks and buckets!
 - The only other thing we didn't like upon arrival was that our room was freezing cold when we arrived - the heat was off and the window was open - which wasn't exactly the warm and cozy welcome we were hoping for after a long tiring day of traveling.
 - Unfortunately the windows were frosted and single glazed, they looked out on an internal area of the building so

 - but surely not a big deal?- we'll just phone reception and ask them to bring one up asap, explaining our time constraint.
 - In addition service times to telephone calls both internal and external need review.
 - The only failing was our coffee machine did not work and despite it being reported an hour and a half passed and still no one came to replace it, upon a second call it was sorted.
 - It took a while to get through to reception via the phone the day before our arrival so that could be improved upon.

 - Upper floors with river view have excellent view of the Eye, River Thames, The Shard, and Waterloo railway bridge.
 - Just across the bridge from Waterloo and 5 minutes from the Uber boat to quickly get to other destinations along the Thames.

 - Arrived Friday, leaving our luggage, went to The Tower of London, came back, check in was easy, shown to our room, which was faultless.
 - We were extremely lucky to benefit from a side view of the River Thames, OXO Tower and Waterloo Bridge.
 - The view was incredible, as we could see across the Thames to the London Eye, see some of the Thames boats, the OXO Tower, and more.
 - After departing the ship at the moored near the Tower Bridge, we arrived at the Savoy at 8:15 am.
 - The concierge helped us to plan several perfect days of sightseeing guiding us on everything from how to use the Tube to a fabulous day visiting the Tower of London then walking to The Tate Modern.
