Initially had a bad experience with no air conditioning and staff at reception that didn't careless about my complaints.

Air con was not functioning in the room and it was hot and stuffy.

The bathroom was terrible, the service to fix anything was terrible, 
The AC didn't work it was hot and terrible to sleep.

AC in the room did not work properly and kept making sounds all night.

We requested fans for each room as we were prepared for the heat.

There was no air conditioning in the room and the fan in the bathroom did not work.

We had to endure a balmy 79-80 degrees in the room throughout out entire stay (even at night, dropped to 78), was provided with a desk fan; despite 3 attempts requesting to have AC fixed at the registration desk, we eventually found out they can't fix it;

Rooms are tired and I and I had to change as shower was broken and air con did not work.

This time there was no air conditioning in the rooms (which we were not advised of at check in).

We also were given another room and that cooling system did not work.

The aircon was not working and the fan was not effective.

but not working, even though there was a fan it was pretty hot all night.

The room that we stayed in looked tired and the air conditioning was very weak.

No air-conditioning and no fridge, at this point I was too tired to complain again.

Our other son said that the air con in their room was poor

The rooms are dated in area with black on the tiles around the bath.

Ceiling shower not high enough for tall people.

but the bathroom dated and could do with modernisation.

Outdated, and a massive environmental water disaster (Faucet running, single use towels, no water stop on the toilets, old and outdated bathroom with rusty rods).

toilets clog and no one came to fix it when we called.

All the drawers either had missing or broken handles making them useless, the safe was broken and the bathroom in dire need of having some money invested in it with its broken and cracked tiles. .

although the price was acceptable for Central London  the rooms need updating badly especially the Bathroom .

The bathroom floor hasn’t seem a mop or hoover.

Something was spilled all over the toilet.

Hotel reception not responsive to requests to deal with repair in room - locked wash hand basin for duration of 4 day stay Slow to allocate room chosen and paid for ;had to wait in another room while issue was supposed to being resolved

I was disappointed we had to ask twice for a lightbulb to be replaced in the bathroom.

-completely OUTDATED; place is aged, needs serious upgrades throughout
-no fridge (mini fridge door was sealed off)
-no exhaust fan in bathroom, so bathroom steamed up when taking shower in addition to already having the balmy 79 degrees present
-Elevators are SOOO slow, had to wait up to 10 minutes to get from 7th floor to 1st floor, eventually discovered the freight elevator
-Breakfast was disappointing to say the least, thankfully our breakfast was included in the rate we paid;

Only thing which was nice was the comfortable beds and the full English breakfast.

My husband and I enjoyed a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed and appreciated the air conditioning which was really efficient.

The bed was very comfortable and air-conditioning was a blessing in the heat to walk into a cool room was excellent.

Rooms were very quiet and comfortable beds.

This was not the bed's fault - it was a lovely comfy bed with a mattress topper and my husband slept like a log.

The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows, the bed was covered with a light quilt which was perfect for a good night sleep.

We had a super king bed which was very comfortable and we had a mini bar with beer & wine which was restocked on our 2nd day.

Fantastic weekend away,staff so friendly and helpful,free mini bar which was restocked each day and bed was so comfy.

The room itself was clean, great TV and wifi, room service available, and very comfortable bed and chairs.

Stayed here for the London marathon in a suite, the location was perfect and the room was quiet and had everything you would need.

It's a great location right next to Tower Bridge and opposite the Tower of London with a short walk to bus stops and the tube.

Great location by Tower Bridge and 2 minute walk from Tower Hill tube station.

The hotel was in an ideal location next to the Tower bridge, and the Tower of London.

We had a double room which was comfortable.

Check in easy and well managed, cleanliness of hotel excellent, all elevators working and quick, breakfast excellent, views amazing and balloons and cake delivered to our room for our daughters birthday.

I liked the electronic communication of 'do not disturb/please clean the room'.

Did not seem interested with my booking request for nice room with bridge view, food and cleanliness was excellent and room was serviced well each day.

Outside of the room, the hotel was really nice, clean and looked really nice.

When we got the room it really was a lovely room with a great view up the river.

Rooms are not updated or modernized, which we liked because it gave it the London charm we wanted.

They have clearly spent money on the reception area and restaurants so why not the rooms?

In luck… the hotel receptions said 10-15 mins a room will be ready.

Our 6th floor room was a typical London tourist room, yet comfortable, clean and quite spacious.

My wife and I stayed 2x nights over a Sept weekend in a standard double room overlooking the St Katherine's dock at the back of the hotel.

We stayed in a 10th floor family room overlooking Tower Bridge and Thames and every morning as well as evening took our time to just stand an look.

We had a nice view from our room that overlooked the boats outside.

but did get Tower view room so that was a bonus.

We had a bridge room view which was absolutely amazing.

the double room overlooking the tower bridge is very nice.

We were all on the 8th floor and out of the 3 rooms 2 had views over St Katherine’s dock.

Location and surroundings were good, there was not far to transport/underground and not at least the view from the room, when you paid a little extra.

The Tower view rooms really do offer everything you'd hope for and the location of this hotel and the fact it provides reasonable parking made this a wonderful place to stay and explore the city on my wife's birthday.

Without a doubt this is the best view from a hotel window we have ever had, Tower Bridge, The Shard and the a view of the Thames.

Very handy for the Uber River taxis, Tower of London, HMS Belfast and worth going up to the 32nd floor of The Shard (free) for a drink or meal in the restaurants.

It is in a great position for the river and Tower of London and our room had a great view to Tower Bridge and The Shard.

Within easy walking distance to the bridge, the popular Dolphin & Mermaid statue and a 20 minute walk to The Shard and to the financial district.

St Katherine's Dock just behind has a lovely old pub that's worth a visit and if you walk over the bridge you can walk alongside the Thames all the way up to the Embankment with lots of nice places to eat or drink along the way and views of the Tower of london, Shard, Walkie Talkie building etc.

Ideal location, magnificent view of Tower Bridge and Shard, clean and comfortable room, very good breakfast, bars and restaurants in few steps to have a dinner and spend evenings.

Rooms were good,  exactly as before great views of Tower bridge, The Thames  and The Shard .

Our suite was outstanding with amazing views of the tower bridge and shard.

The shard was just a 15 minute walk over the bridge and near there is borough market too

Breakfast was lovely, lots of options such as cereals and cooked breakfast with tea, coffee and juices.

It was simply stunning, we were on the 6th floor room 663 and had views of The Tower Bridge, The Shard and The top of The London Eye.

Room- We paid for a bridge view room and this is spectacular with a view of the shard also and on New Year Eve the shard was lit up with lights and lasers.

Our room was very clean and the views were incredible of Tower Bridge and the Shard.

So the communication from the hotel was everything

All staff very friendly and went the extra mile whenever we interacted with them.

Reception staff were polite and helpful too.

We stayed with our son a wheelchair user with additional needs the hotel and the staff could not have been more accommodating.

At first sight this hotel looks amazing, with its lofty, airy lobby and the view, which is second to none!

The view was amazing, the room nice and big with comfortable beds.

We would always stop in there for a Strawberry Daiquiri wether we were staying or not because of this drink and also a very pleasant place to rest with the view of the tower bridge if your lucky enough to get a window seat especially the bay window table.

Great beach / pool areas / sun beds.

However they do not take you to the beach, absolutely no problem for us,

The view over the pool and the seafront was amazing.

Yes, the views are stunning, the beach is gorgeous.

We only discovered on our last day that there was a flat board walk into the village, from the hotel beach with some more authentic restaurants with Greek Cuisine.

Also sunbeds available down on the private beach.

Just a few restaurants, shops along the beach front via wooden path.

You can walk into the village along the beach to night life does only take 5-10 minutes.

Great hotel for a get away from it all break, their is a great beach for snorkelling, swimming, tanning and you can hire a pedalo or a boat.

We got a sandwich at the beach bar for lunch where the staff were very friendly.

There are 2 swimming pools and a direct access to a private beach.

I have mentioned staff, throughout the hotel from reception, through the bars, restaurants, pools and beach and including the staff who dealt with the beach towels: all were welcoming, professional and so friendly.

There are lots of restaurants if you head down to the beach and walk along the wooden path.

Also on the beach you can get your drinks.

Also the beach is very beautiful and nice the service for the beach towels.

There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants on the beach.

Not only were Jet2 absolutely on top of all the logistics (all travel was on time and very comfortable), and the Agios Gorgios beach resort absolutely beautiful in every respect,

All in all we did have a lovely holiday thanks to Dawn and all the staff

We booked our holiday with friends to jointly celebrate our 31st and their 30th wedding anniversarys through Tui, a week cruising on the Tui Marella Explorer around the Greek Islands with a further week at the hotel as a nice relaxer.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely brilliant and helped make the holiday so enjoyable.

The food like any all inclusive holiday gets boring so that’s what is aspected.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone at Mayor La Grotta Verde for an amazing holiday and birthday, you could not have done more to ensure we had the most memorable of times.

All in all a great relaxing holiday and we spent last day planning our return next year hopefully.

The highlight of our holiday was the pool bar at the upper pool.

Summary:

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday and I'm already itching to go back!

We arrived at the Mayor La Grotta Verde after week holiday on TUI’s Marella Explorer.

The food was delicious and I take my hats off to the waiters, waitress, chefs and everyone who works in the catering side of things in the hotel you made my holiday I love food!!

Incredible setting and must be one of the best holiday dining and after meal drink views anywhere.

Starting on a positive we had a lovely holiday as it is what you make of it.

The quality of our holiday was also enhanced by the wonderful service provided to us throughout our stay by the Doukas Dawn, the Guest Relations Manager.

We paid a lot for this holiday and did not get good value for money at this hotel.

Lovely hotel set into the hills of corfu with amazing views, from your hotel room you can look out to the ocean, beach front experiences immediately outside of the amazing Agios Gordios, amazing helpful staff and small local village with all amenities required.

Also all of the staff in Ocean view were attentive.

but there is an additional three wonderful restaurants- Greek (Areti), French (Ocean View) and Italian (Perla) to dine at.

As every room is ocean facing imagine our surprise on pulling the curtains back we were lookibgcag the sea through a restaurant!

We experienced some great interaction with particular members of staff this year and we would like to give them a mention as a way of recognising their commitment to making your stay memorable:
Thomas, Antonia, Victor, Ionna and Sarah(bar team) Svetlana (Ocean View); Irena from reception who provides local knowledge for walking; Dawn the guest relation manager who goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable and of course Anastasia dining coordinator and our Greek tutor.

This room had again a spectacular view over the ocean.

The A la Carte restaurants were excellent, food, service  and simply amazing views from the Italian called Perla and the ocean view, which served french cuisine.

Firstly, it must be stated that the hotel itself is really pleasant, scenic with really spectacular views of the sunset and the ocean below.

The evening meal in Ocean View and Areti were particularly delicious.

My favourite was the ocean view restaurant lovely views, lovely food and good service!

The specialist restaurants, particularly the Ocean View were excellent.

The Greek - Areti and the French - Ocean view were slightly better as air con was quite good here and food was lovely.

I do reccomend the greek restaurant and the ocean view (french) restaurant which Is opposite the bar at dinner and lunch.
