 - But as it was, we felt we had to keep the curtains closed the entire time, which made the room dark.
 - It is damp, hot, dark, not what it shows at all.
 - The room was dark, probably due to the decor and the room wasn't as clean.
 - I did check and whereas we could see outside they could not see in until dark when we shut the shades so we were pleased with the view.
 - Our room was as far from the front desk as you could get, the toilet had issues the shower water wouldn’t stay in the shower and the room was dark and small.

 - Everything perfect with the room and bathroom, we slept well and enjoyed the breakfast.
 - We had dinner in the hotel restaurant that was very delicious and the continental breakfast we had in the morning was quite lovely.
 - I ordered room service for a late-night dinner and breakfast and the food was prompt and delicious.
 - although I would again like to point out the great service provided by Lucia in the restaurant, during the breakfast service.
 - The location on the gardens is so close to the Underground, British Museum, and healthy walks to Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden for theatre shows.

 - It is a 10 minute walk from Oxford Street and a 15 minute walk from The West End meaning that there are plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars within walking distance.
 - The hotel was really peaceful and in a great location close to Russel Square and only 20 or so minutes away from Oxford Street( unfortunately 🤣) and Covent Garden.
 - Excellent stay in this well situated hotel, virtually next door to the British Museum and walking distance to theatres, Soho and Regent/Oxford Street.
 - From now on this hotel will be our base for our trips to London as it is walking distance away from the West End, Covent Garden, Oxford Street, etc.
 - but to be honest the hotel is within walking distance of the areas we tend to visit when in London- Seven Dials, Covent Garden, Bond Street, Oxford Street etc.

 - The room we booked was quite small and the bathroom was really *unacceptably* small; you could barely turn around, and the front of the toilet was only about 18 inches from the bathtub.
 - I had called ahead to request a room with a bath tub and a fridge.
 - My main complaint would be the height of the bathtub.
 - but also smallish with a full tub.
 - The bathtub/shower was also so high off of the floor that, being a short person, I practically had to climb in and out of it every use.

 - Not one rude member of staff all so lovely!
 - The staff were rude and no customer service except two staff Alex and Sophia who went extra miles and did not follow the trend of rudeness of the hotel.
 - A manager in the bar gave out to us and was extremely rude for sitting in seats that she had reserved
 - Only problems were a very rude Bar Manage in the downstairs lobby bar and the pool booking for children rules and the fact that the rules are not communicated in advance or consistently applied to all guests.
 - It was so funny people watching whilst we were drinking our coffee & watching the normal members of public booking in, in such a rush & sometimes rude why I’ll never know!!

 - but the room provided was dirty - large stain on the bedsheet, dust from the aircon vent stuck to the wall, hairs in the bathroom and chair in the main room and also an assortment of small debris in the bed itself.
 - Everything looked a bit old, paint was scraped off several places, cabinet doors didnt close properly, carpet had stains and so did the bathroom.

 - However, unless you are traveling alone with a small carry-on, the rooms are unbelieably tiny and cramped.
 - The room was advertised as a deluxe twin room when in reality it was a tiny cramped room with two single beds jammed together which in essence was a double bed.
 - Luggage hold: The “luggage storage” by the way was an unlocked closet of which the door was mostly always open.
 - The room we stayed in was incredibly small with barely any space to put our belongings away.

 - - Booked a duluxe double room which was across the road and up two flights of narrow stairs, no lift.
 - ), as there’s no elevator in the neighboring building, please make sure you’re (physically) ready to climb very narrow stairs with your suitcases, which can be a hassle -
 - As well as this there was dirty laundry and rubbish left all over the stairs, one even blocked our door and you could barely get through it with bags.
 - Made a pregnant woman climb 5 flights of stairs as lift broken and then wouldn’t allow us in that room so made us change
 - Some you only can go through the stairs.

 - On top of that, when the maid services your room, she actually re makes your bed and empties your bin (& steals said key).
 - After we returned later on we got our key and made our way to the room and the concierge kindly brough our bag to out room around 5 minutes later.
 - Having spent the day in London; and coming back to the hotel with my wife, ravi and karan not only accommodated myself with my list key how we they went above and beyond to make sure that our trip to London was not only extremely comfortable
 - Later that afternoon we arrived back at reception and encountered yet another small inconvenience, in that the staff could not really understand that all I wanted was a key card for the room that had been allocated to me.
 - Had to go to reception 8 times because the key wouldn’t open the door.

 - Convenient from Paddington and all around eg Oxford street, hype park
 - Easy access to Paddington St with trains to Heathrow and city, near Hyde Park and in walking distance to Notting Hill and Oxford Street.
 - The location is amazing - so many options within a short walk (West End, Hyde Park, Oxford Street etc) and if you are attending a concert in Hyde Park this really is a great place to stay.
 - Very reasonable tariffs given the premium location with station, great restaurants, parks, monuments and Oxford Street within comfortable walking distance.
 - The hotel was located very well, close to Hyde Park and walking distance to the city center as well as Oxford Street.

 - It's a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location---a five minute walk to either Buckingham Palace or Westminster Abbey.
 - That said, its very well located with the underground being a stones throw from the property, even the bus is a 5 minutes walk, so connectivity is sorted, the Buckingham Palace is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, so is the St. James Park, very touristy
 - They made us feel as valued, and as important as anyone who may walk in the door.
 -
 - We walked almost exclusively which says volumes about the location and many of the walks are through the parks.

 - It would also have been helpful had the person taking the booking on the phone warned us about the diversion and had a map of such which the Hotel could have emailed us at the time of booking.
 - We in fact ended up having to call to get it sent up several hours later, at which point we were already too tired.
 - I try calling from the room phone
 - Had to call out the maintenance team because none of my sockets, TV etc would work, they came about 2 hours later when i was getting into bed.
 - Then when someone responds, I sometimes get an irate person irritated why I was calling that number when I only dialed the shortcut from your phone. 4.

 - The hotel is old and requires further care and update to the hallways furniture, rooms and specially bathrooms.
 - but can always smell food in corridors which is a put off When we checked in room pillows were not put right on bed .The breakfast service needs to be improved on the staff are not trained well and orders take ages to come .
 -
 - Typical of English hotels in old buildings, one had to walk through rather complicated corridors to reach the room.
 - Refusing to go to reception dressed in a bath robe, we called again, and after a total of about 15 minutes of waiting in the hallway, a gentleman arrived and unlocked the doors for us.
