 - The restaurant was nice
 - Really enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner.
 - Check-in was BAD, concierge was great, room service was good, bar staff were BAD, breakfast staff were good.
 - The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff and friendly and helpful, the location is perfect and very central and finally the breakfast was fantastic, so much variety and great quality food.
 - We very much enjoyed the cocktail tasting session pre booked in the Victoria lounge bar.

 - I hadn’t been looking forward to the stay very much, because I thought the staff may be cold, pretentious & aloof.
 - During our first night stay, around 7:30 pm we bathed the baby, and unfortunately, she cried for what was literally around 5minuites (as any mum knows, bathing a young baby is something you tend to get done relatively quickly so they don't get cold etc).
 - The breakfast is high quality with lots of choice (only let down is the waffles and pancakes are served cold).
 - Negative points; the main shower control produced a Niagara of cold water and it was not intuitive how to change temperature so we relied on the hand held shower which did the job.
 - Breakfast: no fresh orange juice, cold waffles, pre-packed Belgian waffles.

 - Also the shower above the bath was right next to the window and the water just poured over the window sill and collected there, the frame was therefore rotting.
 - What I can't believe is the next day how much rubbish is left on beach loads of plastic bottles and etc you have to rely on volunteers to clean up after you all disgusting.
 - How disgusting is that; a hotel penalizes me for a medical condition.
 - Sadly we couldn't use our balcony as the neighbouring room were using theirs to smoke.

 - In all fairness as neither my mother or I are particularly messy and I have a feeling the 'please make up room' sign had been turned to 'please don't disturb ' so I can only assume it fell from the door and was replaced incorrectly.

 - I had checked in early, before the room was ready and when I returned they had my bag waiting in the room for me which was appreciated as I was on the third floor and there's no lift.

 - The merit I will give the stay was the air con and the bed, the bed was clean and comfortable we were just left underwhelmed by the level of attention to detail.
 - Free car parking in multi story car park, level 6 has a walk way to connect you to the broad-walk to enter the level you need for the hotel.
 - (TIP: Park on the SIXTH floor, as this is the level that has a footbridge taking you straight to Level 1 of the Malmaison, handy when you are carrying bags to/from the car).
 - If possible park on Level 6 as this is the level for the boardwalk which links the car park with the hotel.

 - If your looking for luxury then this isn’t the right choice, the terrace off the bedrooms are shared so you can’t leave your curtains open, the decor isn’t that clean from ginger hairs to coffee stains on the night stand.
 - dusty and windows need to be cleaned.
 - This meant we felt compelled to keep our curtains shut which was a waste of the weather
 - The only thing I will say about the room is that it got extremely hot as there were lots of body's in one room and the windows didn't open very wide.

 - but the noise wasn’t over bearing at all in the early evening and that was with our window wide open however there is also Air Con in the room should you prefer to keep the window closed but still wish to be cool.
 - Noise from the bar at the back as the windows are not double glazed, wobbly taps , hooks hanging off doors.
 - No aircon in room which meant sleeping with the window open- cacophony of seagulls woke us at various times.
 - There was a bit of nighttime noise from the pub garden that our window overlooked,
 - - the room felt poorly maintained: there was mould in the shower and whilst I concede this is sometimes hard to keep on top of to not even replace the shower curtain at the start of the season is just tight-fisted!

 - Fantastic sea view from my room including Brighton pier.
 - Enjoyed three nights bed and breakfast in a circular, sea facing room.
 - although a tad more drawer storage would have been useful, The food was excellent as were the seaward views and the location was most convenient.
 - We stayed in a sea facing room with balcony (room 401 which we've stayed in before) and loved it.
 - Staff were really welcoming and friendly and when we got to our room (room 305) on this trip our room was lovely with beautiful views of the seafront, a bath over looking the views and the bed was very comfortable.

 - The front was a little noisy at around 5am when the bin men came to empty the bins and sadly we chose a windy night where the winds were blowing and the rain lashing.
 - Although we asked for the fan to be turned down it was not.
 - My friend’s room had broken air con and was like a sauna.

 - topping up condiments / emptying bins etc.
 - There wasn't enough electric plugs so had to put the kettle on the floor and no plugs by the mirror in the room for the hairdryer!
 - The kettle was basic and didn’t even have a long enough lead to plug in without having to relocate it to the writing desk.
 - Room service for drinks is readily available as there is no minibar.

 - As a solo female traveller, I feel secure that you cannot enter the lifts without a key card.

 - I stayed at the Hilton Metropole Brighton on 3 stays over a 5 week period whilst on training courses near to Brighton.
 - Hilton, come on, just shut the hotel down, and get all the work done.
 - Strangely enough the Hilton replied to my previous review a for days before arriving !
 - Saba has done all what could be done to enhance my stay at the Hilton and bring a positive outcome to my requests.

 - The wines we tried seemed poor
 - but the pizzas were poor, with aged rocket salad, and home-style oven cooked.
 - but because the poor guy had to walk miles just to go and pick the coach up, we had to allow him to have some adequate rest because the coach park was a couple of miles away.
