 - But it has to be said, the room was a little tired and in need of some renovation. There was black mould around the bath, the handles had been snapped off (and I broke my nail trying to open it!)
 - These are all throwback signs of a lack of interest in updating the accommodation to the standards that the bulk of the remainder of the hotel and the prices demand (£250 rack rate). Oh.
 - A volume control in the bathroom
 - The Bath was dirty from the previous guests The Room was cold, with no effective heating The room was nice,
 - Bathrooms could do with updating especially the in bath showers ,

 - My last visit (January 2022), I had a fantastic view of Tower Bridge.
 - but we do enjoy having a river view of bridge also is nice to have a safe place to park !
 - however in contrast to my daughter's room, who had a river view rather than our bridge view, whose room was bright and fresh.
 - Drinks in the hotel bar before dinner in the Restaurant was very enjoyable with money off being a hotel guest and views over Tower Bridge.
 - It's a great location and i personally would book a Tower Bridge view it's spectacular for a pleasurable break.

 - Relaxing birthday lunch at the Shard .
 - We stayed at the Shangri-La for a special birthday and had the most amazing time.
 - Had a lovely evening celebrating a friend’s birthday last night at Gong and Luke gave us the best service ever.
 - Additionally Momo gave us treats on the house for my friend’s birthday.
 - I bought this as a surprise for my partner’s birthday via virgin experience, paid to upgrade to free-flowing champagne and have all confirmation emails.

 - There is a 12.5% service charge to pay when there
 - It is expensive
 - The bar, while nice, was perhaps a little expensive and we didn’t get a window seat, which was a bit of a shame (though really not the end of the world).
 - but the food, drink and service really don’t live up to expectations, especially when the prices are such a premium.
 - There was a problem with the booking - a “system error” had let me book a room at a too low price .

 - however was totally disappointing,in every other hotel I’ve stopped in if you are a resident you can turn up and have a drink within licensing hours at any time with this hotel NOT a chance you have to book in advance.
 - but nothing was done with this information - these details had to be filled in again on arrival - why bother asking for it in advance if you’re not going to update the booking accordingly?
 - Notifying them of a fish allergy in advance when booking for them to bring oysters for starters??
 - Be sure to book a slot in advance as the numbers are limited as the space is relatively small.
 - but you'll need to book in advance!

 - Again a complete mess - Tyrone done his best, even calling over the restaurant manager, he might as well of been idle for she was no help … how could she help she “wasn’t there that night “ seriously poor !
 - Food was a joke , such poor quality. 8.
 - What poor customer service and lack of compassion.
 - but that's the only positive as the customer experience is simply poor.
 - Buffet was very poor selection and disappointed to see guests were not wearing masks and breathing all over the food.

 - Looking forward to our next visit where we intend to try the brunch options.
 - Although a little on the pricy side, the bottomless brunch is definitely worth it for a special occasion.
 - Diverse selection of foods and the chef was again accommodating to our gluten free diets and made eggs and omelettes to perfection!
 - The hotel is literally a few minutes walk away from the Tate Modern and the Southbank with lots of restaurants nearby.
 - Breakfast was amazing, food beautifully presented, well cooked, and well presented with friendly and efficient staff.
