The location was superb as it is so close to Oxford Street and Hyde Park.

My room had views over Oxford Street lovely to see with the room being so quiet inside.

Hard Rock Cafe Oxford Street is situated within the property with live music in the evenings.

I and my wife visited Hard Rock, Oxford Street (next to Maple Arch underground station), London, UK, on our extended weekend vist.

Throughout the trip, naturally we requested certain things via the concierge desk who said that those things would be placed in our room, even wrote down the room number, those items failed to be placed in our room even after multiple requests.

I phoned down and asked for the Duty Manager to inspect the room.

They told us we should asked one day earlier for that service!

Finally, the stuff in every time we contact them, and investigation is done with my family prior to my intervention which will require another investigation with me to fulfill my request.

No request was too much and all our needs were met with a smile, she even rushed to comfort our daughter when she unfortunately injured her fingers.

I also asked for a glass of lemonade & no kidding this took about 15 minutes to arrive

However service was slow when we request for anything from the help desk

I asked him where is my second bag, he insisted there was only one bag.

We were asked for a voucher and we said it is on the room booking and the waitress said they cannot get this up so can we go back to the reception and get them to confirm this for us as ‘they could not let us in because there is a risk we would leave without paying’

Well it's simply because I was not asked madame.

I asked her to go speak with her manager (who wouldn't even come out to speak with me) and he also said "no".

Amenities such as dental kits are not available and need to request.

I gave my details and was told it was so asked to check in early

After many attempts at calling the restaurant, I asked the front desk if they could help.

No one asked fir information and it seemed to be lacking control.

From check in to being shown how to use electronic lifts to eating in the restaurant could
Not have asked for more.

They refused to change it until I asked for a refund and would leave.

We also should have asked for directions with the shower as water kept draining onto the floor instead of in the tub.

We arrived at lunch time and helpfully our luggage was looked after until we were requested to return at 3pm when our room would be available.

(But UPON CHECK IN, the hotel, requested an additional £50.

The food to order is very good and a well thought out selection in my opinion!

Lovely smile very attentive and made me feel comfortable in the breakfast cafe.

The Cocktail Bar was good and the barmen excellent.

The Restaurant staff’s level of service is beyond any service that My wife and I have ever experienced even at 5 and 7 star hotels and resorts and believe me I’ve seen them all.

It was a great experience to eat my birthday dinner at the hard rock café! The vegetarian burger was delicious, the staff (especially Dario!)

Book a Rock Royalty room which gives you access to the Rock Royalty lounge, this came in very handy as my husband had an appointment to go to so I was able to stay in the lounge until our room was ready.

Checkin was perfectly executed by Max who was a rock star from start to finish.

I organised a surprise afternoon tea for a friend’s 60th birthday and everything was successful, great food , helpful staff in particular  Mrs Jackson and Svetlana.

We recently had a family meal to celebrate my Sister-in-Laws Birthday at the Clermont's on site restaurant and we cannot praise it highly enough.

Just came back for a one night stay with a friend for her birthday, fab location for all things London.

Went to The Clermont for afternoon tea for my mum’s 80th birthday the hotel is amazing, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was fantastic and to make the experience even more special they brought out a piece of chocolate cake and sung happy birthday to her.

Celebrated my 40th birthday at the restaurant.

I came back for there great service they really were the best, it was my wife’s birthday and they made it so special would 100% recommend to anyone I know, the food was sooo nice as well.

Considering we were getting a great deal anyway they went above and beyond, it's is my other halfs birthday and they really made an effort to treat him to a special evening.

This was a surprise birthday trip that included an overnight stay at the Clermont, and from check-in to check-out it was an exemplar in customer service.

Recently booked a 4 night stay for my wife's birthday.

Renata went above and beyond with her service, even surprising my friend with a cake and candles for her 50th birthday.

The icing on the cake was being served a slice of birthday cake with candle and a happy birthday sang by all the dinners .

They arranged a cake for my daughter for her birthday and it was delicious.

My wife and I love afternoon tea and we booked this for my birthday.

We spoke to her between courses, she was attentive to us at every moment, and at the end she had a very special gesture, she surprised us with a piece of cake and a candle to celebrate my birthday (written in Spanish, as we are from Spain).

The food was excellent as was the service, special mention for Renata who when found out it was my husband’s birthday brought out a slice of chocolate cake on a decorated board with a candle (a lovely touch)   Will definitely return

I came here as a surprise for my birthday - they especially gave us a room at the front with great views and even put some chocolate cake on the table which was a lovely surprise!

We stayed at The Clermont, Charing Cross from 6/19-6/24 for my daughter’s 16th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic!!!

Special highlight was our youngest boys told the foyer staff it was their birthday so they all sang ‘happy birthday’ to them before we left, made our stay a little bit more special!

However, she had checked me into a room above a burger restaurant, next to the hotel lift and a a few yards from a busy traffic junction and my window looked out on a busy pedestrian walkway.

The only extremely minor criticism is the lift is soooo slow!

The only elevator in this wing was out of use during our whole 4 night stay and this was a major inconvenience.

1) elevator was not working, had to carry bags up stairs, no accommodation, 2) air conditioning was not effective for an 80 degree Fahrenheit day.

We returned from dinner one night to get trapped in the lift, after finally getting ourselves back to Ground Floor after many minutes we advised reception who said they knew about the faulty lift.

The centre piece is the eye catching spiral staircase still bearing scars from incendiary bombings also check out   a quirky telephone box by the lifts.

Our only small issue with the room was that we seemed to be a room which was the furthest possible from lifts and stairs etc.

This was a bit worrying in case we would be stuck in the lift in a fire .

but at a new section that you need to take two elevators to reach.

Outside the lift, meant it was noisy with footfall and then at midnight the music from the bars started up.

There were no signs by or in the elevators explaining this complex navigation.

On the downside, the Buckingham Wing is a long way from the hotel entrance (you have to walk down several corridors and take 2 different lifts to get there) and

We were assigned a room in the Buckingham Wing which meant go to elevator on second floor, cross an interior bridge, take another elevator to a different floor then find your room.

but we were never given a better room position and had to take 2 lifts and with the walking involved it took more than 5 minutes to get to and from the room within the hotel.

The hotel is actually spread across 3 buildings connected by a bridge & this can be a little tedious as it means 2 elevator trips and a long walk.

but come on Amba the lift was extremely annoying!!!

The breakfast room was crowded and as with the lifts, insufficient for the size of the hotel.

The location is just perfect, close enough to walk to Soho, Covent Garden, the South bank, and shopping in Regent Street or a bit further to Oxford Street,  Having stayed at all sorts of hotels here and abroad over the years on business and for pleasure, the Clermont is way up  with the best of them,

Its a short walk from the hotel to Covent Garden and we also walked up to Oxford street too.

Furthermore, it is within walking distance of theatre district, the South Bank, Westminster, and Oxford Street/Regent Street.

We actually walked to places like Oxford Street, River Thames and The London Eye are only a stone throw away from the hotel.

Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street, The Mall, Buckingham Palace, London Eye are all within easy walking distance.

Convent Garden, Theatre district, China Town, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace and Oxford Street all within 15 min walking distance.

Easy walking distance from the hotel to theatres, Chinatown (where we ate lunch and after theatre), and Regent Street/Oxford Street shops.

Additionally it was a great short walk to Carbaby St., Oxford Street so the locale again is extraordinary and the staff super thank you front desk and especially Flora .

Nice hotel in a very convenient location, close to the West End Theatres, Trafalgar Square, above Charring Cross Railway station and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben (although it is covered in scaffolding at the moment), the Thames, London Eye, and Oxford Street.

It was the perfect location for The Strand, and the shops of Regent Street and Oxford Street with the tube and bus stops just a few steps away.

Location is amazing, right next to Trafalgar Sq, walking distance to Covent Garden, Chinatown, West End and Oxford Street shopping.

Unfortunately we left an iPhone in the room on departure

Had to call every day for the minibar to be restocked.

The phone number goes to reservations, which is a central number for several hotels, so if reservations is closed - you are out of luck.

I booked for my sister’s wedding anniversary using groupon voucher, as soon as the booking went through, I received a call from Mrs Jackson who works for the hotel restaurant, she assisted me with the booking and made sure that our table for 18 people was reserved and followed up to check if I received all the details on my email.

Had to charge the phone across the room, 4) beds were up by housekeeping without sheets 5) headboard and closet were gouged by some person or animal,  I could forgive one or two of these indiscretions,

I rang them,one payment was our room, one was a pre authorisation

After ringing reception nothing was done about it.

I also don’t expect to have to ring the lobby to ask them to stock the complimentary minibar (which was empty upon arrival other than one bottle of gluten free lager and no bottle opener).

A few onions rings finished off the dish.

This went on for several weeks speaking to Ruben, Anca, Barbara , all apologising and promising non existed call backs, even an email to Neil Gallagher of GLH Hotels was ignored .

On Monday morning it took 4 calls from us to room service and reception to have someone phone us back 30 mins later.

We only realised this when we got on the train and went to change a phone.

although on calling housekeeping to ask they said we didn't qualify for snacks?

but we ending up having to personally ring the credit card company ourselves to try and sort this out.

The furnishings aren't what I would call luxury,

They rang me to tell me when the room was ready and looked after our bags.

When making a reservation, make sure to call the hotel directly.

We enjoyed the excellent desserts, scones and sandwiches which are definitely a treat from a bygone era.

The rooms were modern and clean and restaurant couldn’t have been more child friendly to my 3 and 5 year old granddaughters.

Just had an amazing dinner at the Clermont.

Theatres, restaurants and shopping areas can be reached on foot easily.

Its a lovely character old building with high ceiling, specious feel through all the facilities, staircase, bar&restaurant.

We can single out the good service by Cyan at breakfast and same at dinner with the night staff.

but only when needed, everything was topped up regularly too, food was delivered with a smile as well which is always welcome.

The location was perfect for walking to the train and numerous sites and restaurants.

You can walk to Covent garden - nice cafes and restaurants, and walking distance to Trafalgar Square , Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Westminster.

Large, fresh breakfast selection in beautiful restaurant with wonderful staff, Close to Convent garden, which had many restaurants.

The hotel's rooms are comfortable and generally larger than most European hotels and the onsite restaurant serves a delicious complimentary full service breakfast.

Amazing cocktails tried to try them all so may too choose!!

We had a lovely meal ( Groupon deal set menu with prosecco).

We sat in the glamorous restaurant overlooking the Strand and enjoyed great food and drink.

We were given a very warm welcome on arrival at the restaurant in the Claremont Charing Cross hotel.

We had an excellent meal yesterday at Clermont Hotel, Charing Cross.

We are part way through our stay and are sleeping and eating (breakfast) so well.

Michelle at the front desk & Cyan in the restaurant have been so friendly & helpful.

The hotel bar and restaurant were exceptional and decor elegant and classy.

The lounge is lovely for breakfast or afternoon wine/tea.
