 - Following this we had Marlene with the magic fingers and heart who gave my mum the most relaxing and calming massage she has ever had, she smoothed out her sore back and problematic shoulder which she been suffering from for a while as she’s a chef.
 - We had been to the hotel for a spa day that had been gifted to us so thought we would return for our anniversary weekend which coincided with a show my husband and son were attending at the O2.

 - I am sure they put the prices up because I wasn't expecting to pay quite that much when I booked.
 - The 5* hotel I paid £300 for one night for a birthday celebration was very disappointing.
 - but we paid a lot for a generally unsatisfactory experience.

 - This is pretty stingy given the cost of the dish is only GBP2 more than the next most expensive (included) item on the menu.

 - but the very notable single egg served in each case; I’m not sure whether this was due to the restaurant operating at close to capacity, or because we were dining on the Club rate, but either way this was poor.
 - There was a poor selection of soft drinks, many of which were locked up on the first day and there was a very poor selection of wines in the evening.
 - Some excellent aspects and also some very poor!
 - Very poor service.

 - Very tired and dated.
 - ), breakfast crowded and limited crockery, general decor very tired, room not cleaned (we were there two nights).
 - but could do with a bit of love and updating of the decor as it's looking a bit tired.
 - The decor in restaurant needs attention.. near to where we sat the veneer had come of the wall and goodness knows what happened to carpet..
 - Yes rooms could be modernised slightly in terms of decoration if being fussy (as per other comments)

 - Likewise service in the restaurant at breakfast and in the bar was OK
 - We had a good early dinner in restaurant prior to theatre visit (highlight of our stay.. go and see Mamma Mia!).
 - Waitress handed us food and drink menus and stood by our table waiting for us to order.
 - Breakfast wasn’t great, staff running around like headless chickens, no organisation & insufficient room in the dining area.

 - Our room (a club room) was comfortable and we were very pleased to be given 2 adjoining rooms as a family of 3.
 - We had paid for an upgrade which included Club Room, Executive breakfast, drinks vouchers and a late checkout.
 - but you will struggle to find rooms to this size anywhere for this price (I stayed in a club room).
 - I'd asked for a room high up with a good view as I'd already paid extra for a club room.
 - I had booked and paid online months in advance for a standard room , I showed my NHS ID badge at check in and was given an upgrade to Club room, free overnight parking and free breakfast for my wife and I.

 - It is a lovely place to stay if you are interested in Oxford Street and would like a walk in the park for approximately 1 hour to get there.
 - but also an easy bus ride away from Knightsbridge, Sloane Street, and Regent and Oxford Streets.
 - After a long day trip from Oxford, I am absolutely knackered, so I decided to have a drink and relax in the bar, I received an fantastic service from bar staff George Drenea, honestly the best service ever!

 - The decor is as I remember it back then so this hotel has not had a face lift sine at least the 90's.
 - Got into the lift & couldn't work it.
 - Lifts haphazard, we had to find the old stone staircase once which is tucked away at the end of the corridor down a dingy hallway.
 - No room service, hundreds of people piling into a tiny Buffett breakfast, dirty reception toilets with no soap, chaos at the lifts, etc etc.
 - but being on the 8th floor, there was a long wait for the lifts.

 - This is dangerously loud and should be addressed.
 - We moved rooms to a worse dirty room and noisy air conditioning.
 - When our neighbor in the next room went on the toilet the and flashed the water the sound was so loud as if an airplane takes of.
 - Thin walls as the next door spent the entire night on the phone talking loudly in a foreign language.
 - Maybe a bit too close as you can hear it from the hotel.

 - though and it was disappointing to see those little bottles of toiletries that are notoriously bad for the environment still in use here.
 - We had a sink full of stagnant dirty water, due to poor plumbing.
 - when we returned later this was not resolved (see video).. the sink would fill when washing face or hands or teeth and very, very slowly drain leaving sink full of scum.
 - And then maybe ask the cleaners to dust the rooms and clean the bathroom floor.
 - but don't bother with any of the amenities.

 - We were not sure what to expect because of our previous London hotel experiences have been average or poor with very small expensive rooms.
 - Very noisy from the residence up stairs - poor sound proofing.
 - Sad to witness Taj's spirit abate due to poor management.
 - but the water pressure on the shower was very poor.
 - Shame, wouldn’t recommend due to the room issues, very poor sleep.
