Disappointed that there was no window view for the cost, just a cramped weird courtyard on the basement level, so the room was dark and kind of gloomy The complementary cocktail hour was nice

I would also say that the hotel is very dark.

We had a ground floor room which was far too dark. It was in an absolute nightmare when getting ready (this is why I only gave 4 stars)

but not too late….. definitely would benefit from black out blinds or curtains for those of us who like the dark but that’s the only mild negative 😊

The rooms were a little small for what we paid and very dark not much day light getting in at all, the bed was really comfortable and our room very quiet.

For proper sleep I need to be able to make the room completely 100% dark.

Upon check in we were disappointed in our small room, down a dark hallway in the back of the hotel, two rooms experienced street/pub noise. .

But the rooms themselves (I saw 2 of them - quite identical) are very small and dark.

Unfortunately the only mirror for hair drying was on the inside of the wardrobe door and even when opened wide, it was quite dark.

We found the room way too dark and thus it appeared small.

However, the room we stayed in on the ground floor was very dark (walls on 3 sides of the window and no direct sunlight) and there was no way to open the window and get some fresh air in.

It was a bit dark (fine for reading in bed, just harder to see what's in your suitcase).

No restaurant in the hotel which usually wouldn't be an issue

but did not bother us: no restaurant in hotel (but you can collect drinks and snacks at reception), Soho Square nearby slightly seedy at night time, no view from room and difficult access for taxis because of lots of small oneway streets.

Breakfast at the hotel is only in room service.

but really, in London, who wants to eat in a hotel.

While there isn't a traditional restaurant in the hotel, this was never an issue for me as fresh breakfast was brought directly to my room at the exact time I had requested it.

but also a micro-wave for heating  up food, and a small washing up sink with basic dishes and cutlery available so you could bring back food to eat in the room, 

There is no restaurant in the hotel which is a smart strategy as there are so many cafes nearby that offer wonderful breakfasts - but they do offer continental breakfasts that can be brought by room service.

This is great hotel located right in the heart of SOHO.

This hotel was perfect in every way: perfect location near tons of amazing food and entertainment and an easy walk to all the best sites; the perfect room, super clean and very comfortable with all the amenities I wanted (fridge, microwave, coffee, etc); and perfect staff, super friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a well centered yet quiet area, Leicester Square and Oxford Street are just a few minutes away.

The staff were very attentive and provided a complimentary bottle of wine when they discovered it was our anniversary and gave us invaluable tips on places to eat.

I chose this hotel because it offered a room with a little kitchenette which I love having when I’m traveling so I don’t have to eat every meal out.

Fantastic location in the heart of Soho, close to all of the bars, pubs and restaurants, very helpful staff on reception and we were made to feel very welcome, room was very spaciuos with great amenities, bed was very comfy, all in all a great stay, would highly recommend and we will return soon.

It's good for nightlife, food, a comedy show, shopping, and if you want to hit London attractions, you can walk to Covent, Piccadilly, Chinatown, Leicester and have metros stations close by.

The hotel is in a great location, close to shops and restaurants.

The Resident Soho is centrally located around great restaurants and shops.

Almost hit the mark had it not been for an uncomfortable night sleep.

The 3rd and 4th accomodations are single small sofa beds extremely uncomfortable and you have the risk of having also a camping mattress.

but the Hotel was disappointing and very overpriced,   Couldn't even get IN the room with our luggage, no where to put it, crawled over it, put one in bathroom,  could barley walk around bed, I was very disappointed and uncomfortable  for a three day stay.

but the bed is extremely uncomfortable, feels like uneven overused mattress.

the bed is obviously a twin put together and the hump in the middle makes for an uncomfortable sleep. .

Hard uncomfortable foam pillows - not feather or fibre. 2.

We would not stay here again because it was so uncomfortable and we all slept poorly.

One gentlemen’s club is on the same block which may lead to an uncomfortable conversation with a child

but we didn't find it uncomfortable as we were out and about most of the day.

This is the place that I would think of when I want a place to rest and relax after a long day of walking and visiting places around London.

From the moment we walked in to the day we left, we were treated like family.

It is only a short walk to downtown and the trendy Soho district

We walked from the hotel across Hyde Park to the Design Museum in Kensington, which was an added bonus.

Bathroom was excellent with a large walk in shower.

We walked 85 miles in 7 days exploring all around this neighborhood and beyond!

It has a fabulous location (we walked nearly everywhere), and underground subway stations nearby.

Only 15 mins walk to London's famous shops.

Easy walk around Soho, Covent Garden & surrounding area.

It was an 8 mile walk, there and back again, so I was quite uncomfortable when I got back,

We walked from Tottenham Court Road station and it was a comfortable walk.

Easy walking to everything you need and want.

You are a short walk from all the main attractions in Soho.

The location couldn't be better, as there are lots of restaurants within 5-10 min walk, theatres are at walkable distance and the communication with further areas could not be more simple, having the main underground lines a stone's throw away.

We asked for a second pillow which Is advertised in all the lifts that we can have and being told of course and it never appearing. Twice.

First room was very noisy, as backing onto the lift shaft.

Who wants to get dressed, go down 6 floors in the lift to go and get a cup of tea first thing in the morning???

The only issue is carrying hot drinks up in the lift or up the stairs, so facilities in the room would be better!

There was a bad odor from the carpets in the corridor, the stair carpets were filthy due to the fact that if you wanted a hot drink in your room you had to carry hot drinks through multiple doors, lifts and stairs with a key card as well .

though as carrying the china mugs back in the lifts felt a bit precarious.

Not directed to lifts or told anything about breakfast.

Unengaged check in (I wasn’t told where lifts were or anything about hotel).

but would be big enough for a wheelchair BUT our bed this time was a bit lower than I’d have wanted and I wonder what issues someone transferring to and from a wheelchair who needs help would come across - in all honesty I wouldn’t recommend it for you if you have no upper body strength or can’t lift yourself up and down I think you’d struggle.

Each time, you have to get an employee's attention for them to unlock and operate the lift every time you want to enter/exit the building.

I appreciate that guests have to use their keycard to access the elevator and again to access the hallway which leads to your rooms.

We had a ground floor room this time which made a change from having to wait for the lifts.

We could hear the lift going up and down too!

The room key is needed to get into the ground floor elevator lobby, and once you reach your floor, you need the key to get into the hallways where the rooms are.

but if there was a fire and you couldn’t use the lifts?

Bed only access from one side was hard and uncomfortable  had everything in it

Only negative I had was I'm a very light sleeper and my room was located next to the lifts, and I could constantly hear them going up and down.

There is technology everywhere in the hotels, from the electronic writing on the mirrors in the elevators, to the mood lighting that gradually turns on the lights on entering the bedroom, to the panel on the bed which operates the lighting and air conditioning, etc.

After initially being checked into a room on the 6th floor and 2 of the 3 elevators being out of order, we found that our room was occupied by someone else.

but overweight individuals would have trouble fitting through the glass sliding door.

Our room was the size of a closet here- you walk in and there is a toilet and shower immediately to the right with glass walls that follow a tucked in bed with under bed storage.

I would note that the bathroom door & wall is only frosted glass and therefore doesn't offer the maximum privacy if you are sharing a room.

Didn’t like partially frosted glass bathroom door which didn’t offer much privacy in bathroom.

The only thing is the bathroom - if you don't know the person too well you can hear them behind the glass separation panel!

If sharing a room, you’ll want to know the design is such – frosted glass walls – that there’s not a great deal of privacy between the bathroom and sleeping area.

buttons, the only issue I had was that bathroom was glass which meant minimal privacy.

Only issue was  the large Glass doors in the bathroom, dosent offer the best privacy.

Only things missing are a toilet brush and a glass for the toothbrush,

Not only is it frosted or clear glass, depending where you look, there is bizarrely a gap of about five millimetres where the glass door meets the glass wall.

There was only one thing wrong, which will mean I do not stay here again - the bathroom door was gentle frosted glass and there was a 1 cm gap when the door was closed.

The glass doors to the bathroom had a cm gap between them and that with the frosted glass meant there was little privacy.

Only fly in the ointment was a barman ruined a double single malt by putting it in a half pint glass and then half filling that with water so be very specific about what you are asking for.

but clean, yes the bathroom as a frosted glass door to it so if you are looking for a private room this is not for you, me and wife thought it was quite funny that you could see into the bathroom.

I was aware that some rooms had further glass doors to add extra noise deadening for the guests.

but if two of you, with the bed against 3 walls, having to climb over the other person to go the toilet disturbs you both and also a lack of privacy using the loo with glass screens and a gap in door.

Preferred the soho one as is a better location for theatres and restaurants and the same money if booked well in advance .

I’ve stayed at this Hub before due to its fantastic location near tourist spots and galleries

Great location, so close to St James Park tube, with Westminster tube also very close.

Location is perfect, walking distance from the finish line, walking distance to Victoria station, and 2mins from St James Park underground.

Overall, good if you are not so bothered about the hotel facilities and more interested in location.

Overall, even with the minor inconveniences, this is an excellent place to stay & I would recommend it, brilliantly located very close to St James Park station and Westminster.

but neat and cheerful room, excellent facilities and wifi and a cosy bar with endless free coffee at all times, I can't believe the pleasantness and value in such a central location.

We preferred this location as it was away from the mobs of tourists staying in Trafalgar Square/Chelsea/etc.

Excellent service and comfort, everything was clean, highly recommend, excellent value for money especially considering the location.

I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to do tourist attractions in London as it’s very central and easy to assess the underground as it was 5 min walk away and a bus stop 2 mins around the corner that brings you to Oxford street.

Close to the underground and key sights in Westminster, not to great a distance from the theatres and shopping in Oxford Street.

Was able to check in on arrival and the rooms were modern and clean albeit small which I expected.

The room was a 'slightly larger one' with a window.

Room was comfy, quiet, clean and had sufficient storage.

But it was the perfect thing for us as we didn’t spend much time in our room.

The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable.

Ideal location close to all attractions, which was what we were looking for and clean quiet rooms, friendly staff and excellent value for money.

I also got super sick for a bit and it wasn’t easy not having much room to lay out or air to breathe.

but with the price we payed for a larger room and the fact that there is definately space for the tea/coffee making faciilties on the large enough sideboard under the tv - we really missed this option.

but reception brought an extra two pillows up to our room.

however the hotel were able to accommodate us immediately in an available room of the type that we had booked.

We had a good, clean room (although very small in size and that was with the King/upgraded room size).

Rooms great and security measures were good.

Westminster Catholic Cathedral for Mass is a short walk away.

Westminster Abbey about 3 minutes walk away.

It was a short walk to the Tube station and pubs.

We didn't book breakfast here because of it and we went and sought food outside the hotel, less than a 10 minute walk away again spending much more, because of the ridiculous staff behind the bar.

Hotel was close to Buckingham Palace (10 min walk) and Westminster Abbey (2 mins).

The location is also within a 5 minute walk to the closest Tube station.

Plenty of places to eat and socialise within a short walk from the hotel.

The position is great for Central London, nearest tube is St James' and easy to walk to most tourist areas if you wish.

This hub is in such a fabulous location, just 50 yards from Westminster Abbey and just a short walk to the major shopping areas and theatres.

Walked in as asked for two breakfasts, after her exhale and 'urgh really' she charged us.

The location was picked as it was a good price and was close to west end with a little walk to the tube

Well situated 1 minute walk from tube station, assuming you use the correct exit.

From walking into the hotel and checking in, I was greeted with a nice smile and great customer service.

St. James’s Park tube station is 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

This is a gem of a hotel, perfect location for site seeing, 2 minutes walk to the tube that we used extensively.

Ideal place to stop to see the main sights of London, being a very short walk from Westminster Abby, Downing Street, The Tower of Westminster, The Cenotaph, St James’s Park, etc etc.

Just a 2min walk from the St James's Park tube station, it's very easy to visit the main attractions of the Centre of London on foot (a couple of minutes away from Buckingham, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, Churchil's War Room, Big Ben, London Eye, etc).

It is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The bathrooms are spotless and serene, fixtures and amenities are of a very good quality.

The staff is warm and responsive, the rooms are lovely and so clean, and the neighborhood is terrific!

Hotel was clean, room and bathroom spacious; it was close to Earl’s Court underground station.

Outstanding in every way — friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with a small kitchen, excellent location only five minutes from the Earls Court tube station.

The facilities were clean, upkept and exactly what I needed.
