I organised a surprise afternoon tea for a friend’s 60th birthday and everything was successful, great food , helpful staff in particular  Mrs Jackson and Svetlana.

We recently had a family meal to celebrate my Sister-in-Laws Birthday at the Clermont's on site restaurant and we cannot praise it highly enough.

Just came back for a one night stay with a friend for her birthday, fab location for all things London.

Went to The Clermont for afternoon tea for my mum’s 80th birthday the hotel is amazing, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was fantastic and to make the experience even more special they brought out a piece of chocolate cake and sung happy birthday to her.

Celebrated my 40th birthday at the restaurant.

I came back for there great service they really were the best, it was my wife’s birthday and they made it so special would 100% recommend to anyone I know, the food was sooo nice as well.

Considering we were getting a great deal anyway they went above and beyond, it's is my other halfs birthday and they really made an effort to treat him to a special evening.

This was a surprise birthday trip that included an overnight stay at the Clermont, and from check-in to check-out it was an exemplar in customer service.

Recently booked a 4 night stay for my wife's birthday.

Renata went above and beyond with her service, even surprising my friend with a cake and candles for her 50th birthday.

The icing on the cake was being served a slice of birthday cake with candle and a happy birthday sang by all the dinners .

They arranged a cake for my daughter for her birthday and it was delicious.

My wife and I love afternoon tea and we booked this for my birthday.

We spoke to her between courses, she was attentive to us at every moment, and at the end she had a very special gesture, she surprised us with a piece of cake and a candle to celebrate my birthday (written in Spanish, as we are from Spain).

The food was excellent as was the service, special mention for Renata who when found out it was my husband’s birthday brought out a slice of chocolate cake on a decorated board with a candle (a lovely touch)   Will definitely return

I came here as a surprise for my birthday - they especially gave us a room at the front with great views and even put some chocolate cake on the table which was a lovely surprise!

We stayed at The Clermont, Charing Cross from 6/19-6/24 for my daughter’s 16th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic!!!

Special highlight was our youngest boys told the foyer staff it was their birthday so they all sang ‘happy birthday’ to them before we left, made our stay a little bit more special!

However, she had checked me into a room above a burger restaurant, next to the hotel lift and a a few yards from a busy traffic junction and my window looked out on a busy pedestrian walkway.

The only extremely minor criticism is the lift is soooo slow!

The only elevator in this wing was out of use during our whole 4 night stay and this was a major inconvenience.

1) elevator was not working, had to carry bags up stairs, no accommodation, 2) air conditioning was not effective for an 80 degree Fahrenheit day.

We returned from dinner one night to get trapped in the lift, after finally getting ourselves back to Ground Floor after many minutes we advised reception who said they knew about the faulty lift.

The centre piece is the eye catching spiral staircase still bearing scars from incendiary bombings also check out   a quirky telephone box by the lifts.

Our only small issue with the room was that we seemed to be a room which was the furthest possible from lifts and stairs etc.

This was a bit worrying in case we would be stuck in the lift in a fire .

but at a new section that you need to take two elevators to reach.

Outside the lift, meant it was noisy with footfall and then at midnight the music from the bars started up.

There were no signs by or in the elevators explaining this complex navigation.

On the downside, the Buckingham Wing is a long way from the hotel entrance (you have to walk down several corridors and take 2 different lifts to get there) and

We were assigned a room in the Buckingham Wing which meant go to elevator on second floor, cross an interior bridge, take another elevator to a different floor then find your room.

but we were never given a better room position and had to take 2 lifts and with the walking involved it took more than 5 minutes to get to and from the room within the hotel.

The hotel is actually spread across 3 buildings connected by a bridge & this can be a little tedious as it means 2 elevator trips and a long walk.

but come on Amba the lift was extremely annoying!!!

The breakfast room was crowded and as with the lifts, insufficient for the size of the hotel.

The location was convenient, the room was very nice and modern and the staff was helpful.

Highly recommend , hotel is in a great position walking distance to embankment tube and Trafalgar Square.

Location is excellent for transportation, as well it is very close to the race end point.

The Clermont at Charing Cross is, very well located, with two subway stations literaly at the door.

Great location just a 3 minute walk to Covent Gardens, short walk to southbank, plenty of facilities surrounding the hotel.

Location  was perfect which gave us a great experience of visiting London.

Cannot fault it and "location, location, location"!!

The hotel is in a great location, right by Victoria station.

It has a great location, ride on the Strand and adjacent to the Charing Cross train station and Tube station.

Location is excellent and hotel staff were professional and strive to provide outstanding service.

The location was perfect for walking to the train and numerous sites and restaurants.

The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location to walk the sites of the city of London.

The hotel is situated in the Charing Cross rail station (separate entrance)- So great location with excellent train links.

It's central location at Trafalgar Square with the Charring Cross tube station next door makes getting around London a breeze.

Great location, right next to chatting cross tube, a short walk to the theatres & walking distance to a lot of tourist spots.

What a fantastic location, at the end of a successful shopping trip Renata and her team greeted us with a welcoming smile and looked after for a lovely coupe of hours, always a full glass, great service, definitely doing it again, thanks Renata

This year I stayed at its sister hotel at Marble Arch

I have stayed in London on a number of occasions over the years and stayed in in areas such as Southampton Row and Marble Arch.

Neat, tidy with lovely helpful staff this hotel is central and walking distance to many key tourist locations (Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace etc).

Unfortunately we left an iPhone in the room on departure

Had to call every day for the minibar to be restocked.

The phone number goes to reservations, which is a central number for several hotels, so if reservations is closed - you are out of luck.

I booked for my sister’s wedding anniversary using groupon voucher, as soon as the booking went through, I received a call from Mrs Jackson who works for the hotel restaurant, she assisted me with the booking and made sure that our table for 18 people was reserved and followed up to check if I received all the details on my email.

Had to charge the phone across the room, 4) beds were up by housekeeping without sheets 5) headboard and closet were gouged by some person or animal,  I could forgive one or two of these indiscretions,

I rang them,one payment was our room, one was a pre authorisation

After ringing reception nothing was done about it.

I also don’t expect to have to ring the lobby to ask them to stock the complimentary minibar (which was empty upon arrival other than one bottle of gluten free lager and no bottle opener).

A few onions rings finished off the dish.

This went on for several weeks speaking to Ruben, Anca, Barbara , all apologising and promising non existed call backs, even an email to Neil Gallagher of GLH Hotels was ignored .

On Monday morning it took 4 calls from us to room service and reception to have someone phone us back 30 mins later.

We only realised this when we got on the train and went to change a phone.

although on calling housekeeping to ask they said we didn't qualify for snacks?

but we ending up having to personally ring the credit card company ourselves to try and sort this out.

The furnishings aren't what I would call luxury,

They rang me to tell me when the room was ready and looked after our bags.

When making a reservation, make sure to call the hotel directly.

The lounge is lovely for breakfast or afternoon wine/tea.

Food was terrific in the hotel from the lounge to the restaurant to the bar.

She told me she discovered the mouse as well and they contacted Rentokil and do a deep clean of the lounge.

We had access to the lounge/club area, which was very nice.

We booked the executive twin which included the lounge which was ideal for drinks and nibbles on our way out in the evening.

The room was great, the lounge was good and breakfast was a treat!

Nice touch that the minibar was free😊 and you could get free drinks and snacks in the lounge during the day.

We did get breakfast with our room so we were able to use the lounge which was quite nice.

Breakfast either in the lounge or the dining room was also quite nice with a mix of hot/cold dishes to choose from along with fresh fruit, coffee and tea.

The lounge was beautiful and the service was impeccable.

Diana in the lounge was wonderful and very helpful, always with a smile on her face.

We also had access to the lounge for breakfast

There was a free mini-bar and we had access to the lounge which, from 12.00 to 19.00 offered free drinks and nibbles in a lovely setting.

The lounge was staffed by wonderful employees who not only welcomed us for breakfast and afternoon drinks,

Diane, who was in charge of the lounge went out of her way to get us what we needed, something we didn't expect based on our experience with other hotels in London.

Diana or Roxana made our frequent visits to the lounge so enjoyable.

Very hospitable people, especially Diana in the Lounge.

Front desk and concierge service was excellent helping with storing luggage, loaning umbrellas and even giving us access to the lounge while waiting to go to the train station.

The room is well appointed and breakfast in the lounge is included and well done.

We were exposed in our daily schedule to the breakfast team, the lounge team and to the CONCIERGE team.

All the staff were friendly and polite, the choices for the buffet breakfast were extensive, I enjoyed some of my late afternoons in the bar, the bed was comfortable and the delicious piece of cake waiting in my room upon arrival was a nice touch.

We appreciated the personal touches like the welcome card and the daily restocking of free drinks in the mini fridge.

Check in was easy, we were given a couple of free drinks tokens, great touch.

Room clean and the free minibar is a nice touch.

The selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar was a very nice touch.

Extra little touches including snacks, coffee machine and mini bar.

It was our anniversary and they made our stay very welcoming we had a beautiful greeting in our room with a celebration cake which was a very warm welcome personal touch

Made it a special time as it was my husband’s birthday which was that extra touch.

Everything about this hotel is great - location, food, cleanliness and the complimentary mini-bar was an added unexpected touch.

Tokens given for a free drink each is a nice touch.

Our room 508   was large; full of natural light with a  very modern feel there was also a cake and card wishing us the best for our anniversary .These little personal touches   show how much the hotel appreciates their guests.

A lovely stay at the Claremont, from Reception, (David) to room service, to the bar staff and conceirge - friendly helpful and polite 
The room was spotlessly clean and quiet
The complimentry drink was a nice touch 
Great locatioon too for NPG Trafalgar sq, Covent garden and of course the Main line and underground station

Staff were very friendly, service superb, free drinks token also given for the first drink in the bar on the hotel, a really nice touch, thoughtful and the hotel really is well presented .

Little touches that make a huge difference.

Memorable Moment was they remembered it was my husbands birthday and the cake and wine was a lovely touch so a massive thanks.

There is a mini bar in the room all of which is complementary, which was a lovely touch.

We got to the room and they had put a beautiful piece of cake and a birthday message the little touches mean the most beautiful room stunning hotel would definitely recommend to others

We were blown away from the moment we arrived - outstanding service.

but when I arrived we were given gorgeous prosecco, freshly baked scones and cakes (the scones were still warm), and plenty of sweet treats!

We had request early check in and navina give us a room.

Checked out of the Montcalm Marble Arch today, it’s safe to say that my wife and I will 100% be returning. We checked our luggage in early and they even offered to accommodate us checking in earlier than anticipated, we opted not to and explored London (the hotel’s great location allows for walking to a lot of main attractions!)

We’re provided a welcome Prosecco on arrival, staff were very welcoming, even helped us find a club still open late hours.

We arrived here and we been welcomed with a nice breakfast,after that we spend couple of hours into the spa area ,and Andreea there she made sure that everything was perfect for both of us and she provide as an amazing customer experience.

She really helped us from the day we arrived.

I had a really good experience, especially with Damyana
she was very polite and sweet and make everything simple, the room was lovely and clean and very spacious, the food was delicious and all staff members were polite and always checked up on you.

Every aspect of our stay was truly excellent from check in to check out.

I stay Montcalm with my friends coming from Dubai , customer service was excellent specially Jade from reception she help me on check in check out.

On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite to make my birthday extra special.

I stay in montcalm by myself this time for business and Jade was very helpful from arrival to departure.

Amazing stay and friendly staff specially from reception and navina was very helpful and checked me and checked me out.

From the moment we arrived to the hotel the day before our wedding to our departure, everything and everyone was lovely.

My stay is wonderful from check in to checkout.

I choose Montcalm for celebrate my 30th birthday and it was very nice stay I got surprised with a massive surprise done from Jade and Edmund from reception which work and made this surprise very special for us.

As we mentioned it was my wife’s birthday, the staff really went above and beyond, they upgraded us to the Quebec Suite which was incredible!

I stayed in Montcalm for my boyfriend’s birthday and I cannot be more happy, jade help me and decorate my room from beginning to end, we are travelling from south Arabia and I’m going back home very happy would come back definitively

It was my daughters 18th Birthday and extra touches were added to our amazing room which made it even more memorable.

I made a booking for one night for my mum's birthday at The Montcalm Hotel in Marble Arch.

We enjoyed our stay so much we are already planning to celebrate our birthdays here, our expectations were high when booking

A huge shout out to Jade & her team on reception for making my Birthday stay so special.

The trip for my daughter’s 21st birthday was transformed by the team at reception who really turned things around .. and more than making up for our initial disappointment.

Visited for my 40th birthday and booked Montcalm Marble Arch due to the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed.

At the end of the meal to my surprise the staff came out again signing happy birthday and another cake I was blown away by their kindness also must not forget the chef who did us a very enjoyable meal.

As well as a room upgrade we also got Prosecco and cake as we were celebrating my birthday.

but made sure the room was set up for the birthday!

My boyfriend booked one night stay on bonfire night for my birthday being the Saturday.

We visited for my partners 31st birthday and the hotel did not disappoint from the moment we laid eyes on it.

I came here for my partner's birthday and I received the best service ever!

I booked the Montcalm hotel for my boyfriends birthday and our stay was fantastic.

I am so happy with the Location of the hotel because is close to everything (many restaurants,shopping centers ), friendly staff , very good service from Damyana and Navina !

The location, the staff, the ambience, the cleanliness.

Great location and convenience … near parks as well as shopping areas like Oxford and Regent Street.

I had a very amazing and unforgettable moment in Montcalm Marble Arch.

Rooms are nice average, shopping is near marble arch Station is very close by, shutoff in rooms is a very nice feature and cleanness is amazing thanks for the stay

Marble Arch tube station is a couple of minutes away.

The marble arch station is just 2 mins walk.

It was an abs wonderful stay at Montcalm Marble Arch.

We really had a good time here in Montcalm marble arch hotel.

Superb access to marble arch and Hyde Park.

Starting from the location of this hotel very easy only two minute walk from Marble Arch station.

I am really happy to stay in The Montcalm by Marble Arch because the hotel is really noce .The location is verry good near to Oxford street and many shopping centers .

Me and my family stayed at the montcalm london marble arch hotel, the service was more than amazing.

The montcalm marble arch is in prime location and the rooms are well designed, very clean and nice service .

We had a fantastic stay at the Montcalm Marble Arch thanks to the care and unbelievable service provided by the hotel’s staff.

Had a wonderful stay at the Mont Calm Marble Arch.. we were uggraded to the Royal suite which was a lovely addition to the trip.

Unfortunately the Montcalm has become so poor in service, we can no longer stay here.

Very poor communication with guest experience executive.

What we didn’t expect was the poor state of the rooms.

Pub type red zig zag carpet which had seen better days, fluorescent red chairs, a tacky four poster bed with mirrors (poor mirrors) overhead and an Anne Summers style porn film feel to the whole room.

The room was worse for wear, drab, poor lighting, dreary furniture, an unmade bed and air conditioning that hardly worked.

The first was blighted by a poor breakfast experience at the neighbouring hotel so we were keen to see if there had been improvements.

Water pressure in showers also seemed rather poor for some reason.

This is a bland business hotel completely lacking in character, and in a poor state of decor.

but the rooms are exceptionally small and the service is very poor.

Room was not a 5* room with shabby furniture some of which was broken, there was a constant smell in the room which actually got nauseating.

The finishing around the shower was disgusting and more 2 star than 5 star.

Smoke and alcohol prevented us from staying long.

Hallway smelt of a combination of cigs and dusty carpet.

Just to name a few examples:
- The bathroom tap was rotting off the wall
- The sides of the beds were peeling 
- On the last day, there was a poo stain on one of the towels. Legit.

but was given a milk in our room that stunk because it was off and lumpy however a lovely man from housekeeping came and gave me fresh milks  ,Bad scrapes on the bed but apart from that it’s a good hotel
