The staff was great, and the hotel provided several amenities for the race weekend, such as a small pack with essentials for the runners, snacks and beverages on race-day, and a finisher balloon arch in the lobby.

Conveniently located near coffee shop and other dining options.

The bed was comfortable, shower had lots of hot water, the front staff was on the ball, and the coffee and pastries at George Howell coffee shop were first class.

Connected to the lobby is a coffee shop that makes great espresso drinks.

The coffee shop next door was a fantastic bonus.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, very well-equipped bathroom, nice bathroom amenities, everything in good order -- plus a nice coffee shop and also a bar right at the lobby.

Snacks were included in the room cost and the availability of a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop onsight was so convenient.

The coffee shop downstairs was the perfect breakfast place for a delicious cup of coffee and a pastry.

The coffee shop in the lobby has delicious coffee and the hotel is within walking distance of most Boston attractions.

The coffee shop is also very good (try the pour over coffee).

There is an adjoining coffee shop that opens into the lobby in the AM.

but there is a nice coffee shop downstairs.

They have a wonderful coffee shop and Japanese Peruvian style restaurant attached that were 5 stars, they have bikes you can use and a gym with flavored water.

Accessible to restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

And you must try the coffee shop that's attached to the lobby.

It doesn’t worth for me because staying there is very expensive compared to other hotels also considering “the urban tax “ the hotel charge on the bill which is $30 per night plus tax.

$93 urban fee for 2 nights was charged as we headed to the airport and we felt taken advantage of.

I misplaced my room card, and asked the front desk to give me another one.

but was charged the week before my stay, not a big problem but also not ideal

They charge 60 dollars for Valet parking and 40 dollars for two bottles of water and some snacks in the room.

These fees that are being charged for things everyone may not be able to use are ridiculous.

They overcharged my brother and the stay overall was average.

I don’t understand why the surcharge isn’t simply made part of the quoted hotel rate since that’s what it’s going to be.

When we came back from supper there was a tray waiting in our room with a birthday card for her, sparkling wine and chocolate.

The most annoying factor for they review is the 40 some dollars charged for the complimentary snack packets (small 2-4 of them) which are suppose to be complimentary and not leverage a charge on them.

So we had to walk about 10 mins in the rain to park our car and yet got charged for using valet services.

Upgrade upon arrival and a Birthday wishes card with a bottle of wine and a couple of small cakes.

I asked at the desk, and the man said, "Let me check on that for you. Would you like me to upgrade your room to a 2 bedroom for no additional charge?"

The front desk receptionist overcharged me by hundreds of dollars.

We headed back to the desk and spoke with Sarah Stockbridge, who was the manager in charge.

There is an additional "resort fee" that is charged in addition to the price collected by Hotels.com.

but front office delivered cubes so we can charge our devices.

I had a card and a bottle of wine waiting for me when I walked in.

You can always charge for a no show when there is really a no show.

Overcharged $100 for each 5 of our 6 rooms.

The hotel's location could not be better.

But no: right next to Boston Common, quiet/comfortable and well appointed rooms, friendly staff and turndown service was QUICK!

A special shout out to the person taking care of our room, Sha Sha, who left the place fully restocked and clean every single day always with a smile and friendly conversation.

The hotel rooms are spacious and spotless and the complimentary toiletries and snacks are very generous.

My husband and I also enjoyed the bottle of wine in our room and two drink tickets for the bar.

Our room facing the front street of the hotel was very quiet and clean.

The room was above average and we were both surprised that WiFi as well as all the snacks, coffee, and water were included.

Now, I always request a room that faces the outside, and they’ve always been happy to oblige as long as there’s availability.

Overall it was a great stay, clean Rooms every day, the workers were receptive and polite.

We had many problems: we were assigned a room very very small like a closet, after complaining we were assigned another room on 2 nd floor which was very noisy as the window was on Washington street.

Our room was so tiny that if you took a step out of bed you'd walk into the wall.

After paying, 225 US dollars for such a small room plus another 40 makes this hotel extremely expensive.

(Deep dirt, like needs a power-wash dirty) The arched windows look directly into modern offices yet there is nothing inside the tiny room that is aesthetically pleasing to distract a guest’s attention.

The room was very small, almost no closet and no drawers in the room.

However, the rooms are quite small for the cost and prices at the bar are incredibly high.

Given small room which based on size is probably for 1 not couple.

The doorman Fidan was professional and helpful, not only did he carry our luggage to our drive,

the doormen in particular were so cheerful and helpful.

The staff were wonderful and very courteous.

Anyway I have to mention a nice lady of the customer service who was very kind and helpful.

Counting down the days to my 7th visit to the friendliest most professional hotel in Boston.

I would recommend staying in the harbor district rather than the theatre district.

Very central location with easy walk to theatre district, Chinatown, the Common.

It is centrally located in the theater district.

The theatre district is right next door and the Faneuil Hall, a middle point on the Freedom Trail is a short 9-10 minute walk away.

It was a great location for our day in the city-we rode the Swan Boats at the Public Garden, walked down Newbury Street, shopped at Downtown Crossing, and enjoyed all the lights and marquees along the Theater District at night.

Godfrey is conveniently located in Downtown Crossing near Boston Common and the Theater District with the T right there (although the orange line was closed the weekend we were there).

Value was good, and if we were going to a show in the Theatre District we’d stay at The Godfrey again in a heartbeat!

I wanted to be in the heart of Boston, near the Common and the Theatre District, and this hotel gave me that experience.

They utilize some of the best bedding and mattresses in the guest rooms, far and above almost any hotel I've stayed at anywhere, and certainly in Boston's Downtown & Theater District.

The room was superb, the breakfast and the service was first class and the hotel decor was exquisite.

The best thing about the hotel must be their breakfast buffet.

Rooms were immaculate and luxurious, and breakfast was a much anticipated event for us each morning, as the food, variety, and service were exemplary.

The hotel, located in a perfect area of Lisbon,  is a historical hotel.

If you enjoy traveling to well kept and maintained historical site, with an amazing team who only wants to make certain your experience is pleasant then you just found your home in Lisbon!

If you want historic, best location in the middle of everything, great views, great staff, this is the place.

The Avenida location within historic Lisbon is the best.

We chose Hotel Avenida Palace because we are very fond of historic hotels.

From the moment you walk through the doors everything is beautiful, the staff is courteous and caring, classic and charming hotel.

One last thing, the breakfast buffet is extensive in a beautiful room overlooking a roundabout of the Main Street with a classic monument to view.

I particularly marveled at the marble staircase that winds its way from ground floor to ceiling.

The hotel is perfectly situated and as you look at the craftmanship and detail, you will see that it can no longer be created - inlaid marble, statuary, and stained glass ceiling.

This hotel is elegant with a sweeping marble staircase leading to regal rooms (there’s an elevator too!).

We had a lovely sitting room, a hallway with a huge closet, a large bedroom with two beds, and a large and well-appointed marble bathroom.

The rooms were large and the bathrooms had marble countertops with a tub/shower and a separate toilet.

The bathroom was marble- - old elegance and  clean with a large tub and excellent pressure in the shower.
