Our rooms were very comfortable, great bed, and very nicely appointed.

The bed was the most comfortable bed ever.

We decided to stay at the Resident Covent Garden whilst visiting London for 5 days.

Best of all is the neighborhood, around the corner from Covent Garden Market and a short walk from the National Gallery, shops, restaurants, and other attractions.

The RESIDENT is a top notch place to stay in London’s Covent Garden.

It's within 10-20 minutes walking distance of so many central London locations: Covent Garden, St. Martin in the Fields, The National Gallery, The Mall, Buckingham Palace, Parliament, The Thames, Victoria Embankment, Piccadilly Circus, The British Museum, The Courtauld Gallery, plenty of theaters, and a ton of restaurants  and pubs.

We loved the ease of getting to this hotel from either the Leicester Square or Covent Garden tube stations.

Within walking distance of Covent Garden shopping, dozens of pubs and restaurants, the London Eye, House of Parliament and Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery (free of charge to see Van Gogh, Monet and many others), as well as theatres with some of the most recent shows.

Hotel location was nearly perfect in the center of Covent garden great restaurants around and a great coffee shop right next door.

in addition it is a great location, on the Strand in Covent Garden, near Mayfair, Charring Cross Station and the subway.

I stayed two nights at the resident covent garden hotel during my business trip to London with my office colleagues.

It’s perfect for going to the theatre, getting to the underground, restaurants, cafes and shops and in easy walking distance of Covent garden etc.

The location for The Resident Covent Garden turned out to be absolutely perfect!

The hotel was easy short walking distance (with a 6year old walkaphobic in tow)  to charring cross station and then easy walking distance to Covent Garden and the theatre royal.

I was truly surprised how quiet my particular room was compared to the proximity of Covent Garden.

Location is just great for those who want to be in the city center (1 minute walking distance to Covent Garden, 8 min to Leicester Square).

The resident is located very close to Covent Garden, about a three minute walk to the underground Charing cross.

In Covent Garden so very close to shops/tube/bars and restaurants.

The location was perfect - good proximity to Covent Garden, Soho, and the West End.

Stayed here for one night, a great hotel in a great location, near Covent Garden and tube staton, hotel staff were very friendly and so helpful, had a king size room with balcony and it had all you could ask for, next time I visit London I will definitely be booking to stay here again

The position of the hotel is excellent - just off the Strand near Covent Garden.

Staff are all very attentive and friendly.

It is a beautifully kept hotel; housekeeping is excellent; and the front desk is staffed by exceptionally friendly, kind people who clearly made a point of making us feel welcome during our week-long stay.

The hotel and our room were immaculate, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the double windows kept our room quiet even at the peak of Saturday nightlife.

And pillows were so flat that I needed two to have at least little support, as I’m a side sleeper.

I'm a light sleeper so this wasn't ideal!

If you are a light sleeper do note that there is some traffic noise on the weekends being in the busy Covent Garden area,

I was a little concerned with noise because The Nadler is in a very busy area and I am a very ligth sleeper.

I am a super picky sleeper, I seriously have issues.

Would not stay again as rooms were small and not anywhere near 4 star.

The 3rd bed in our room was a little small that would be my only slight criticism everything else was fabulous and the staff were all lovely.

The rooms are a bit small so ask about a room upgrade where they is a little more space to move around.

In hindsight I wish I’d asked for a bigger room as ours was tiny.

What you want a value hotel to be: rooms are small of course

The room was a little small however we managed to see two other rooms with different layouts and preferred ours with it's big windows and the view of the Strand - there is a hum of traffic/street noise on this side

While the rooms are small they are well appointed and the location in Covent Garden makes up for it.

Our room was tiny and right on The Strand.

The only downside was that our room was quite small for two adults travelling with two regular-sized suitcases - almost no room to have them out.

The room was tiny, which didn't worry as at all as we were only there for one night, it was perfect for us, we had hardly any luggage

The soap dispenser broken, toilet seat also broken and very loose and slipping off the pan.

Air conditioning heating is not effective.Shower needs better controls than a bath tap.

Room was dirty, blood on the floor, bathroom was dirty, kettle was disgusting.

For the shower we had to stand in the bath and fight with the shower curtain which tried to wrap itself round you.

the room where we stayed was so terrible could not sleep at all people kept being noisy when i was staying there  also cold shower no lock on bathroom door only 2 small towels shower kept going off no hotwater at all

Room smelt musky and coffee machine leaked unable to use one in room

Lack of basic bedroom amenities like tissues, water, toilet brush!! !

A very small double bed and a very very small bathroom.

Both towels were dirty and stained and the bathroom could really do with a deep clean so overall very disappointing as we have stayed here several times before

My only recommendation would be to improve lighting in rooms and replace shower curtains with shower doors.

FACILITIES: 
The shower area was tiny, and it had a curtain, which I really don’t like.

The shower curtain was too short for the shower causing water to flow on the bathroom floor.

The soap dispensers in the bathroom did not work easily (at first I thought they were empty).

The shower curtain clinged on you when u had the shower on.

Toilet hadn't been cleaned, and there was no shower gel, or hand wash in the large containers they were kept in.

Everything you expect from Travelodge,  let down by no soap in dispenser despite being asked for.

The room was not very clean and the carpet and fixtures were tired and in need of an update.

The hotel does need to rethink the carpets as yes they’re dirty - they’re cream and it’s central London I don’t know who decided that would be a good idea?

The carpet was full of stains, the back bed light did not work and was probably the most unwelcoming place I have ever had the misfortune to stay in.

Shamed only by the fact we use this hotel every couple of months for work and it’s rooms are not well maintained (carpets are grim) even in the super room this week they need gutting as they carried the smell of damp/musty.

though there was dog hair in the carpet and stains you wouldn’t want to take your shoes off put it that way.

Our Super Room had a stained bedspread, a dirty bathroom floor, dirty air filter, badly stained carpet both in the room and corridor.

3- Room was dirty, stains on everything from the carpet, cushions and bedding.

but clean and comfortable, although this time around the carpet was a little worse for wear.

but could benefit from a deep clean as there were visible stains on the carpet etc.

Worst part was the ENTIRE room smelt like URINE, as if it was ground into the carpets.

carpet was a mess, bath was vintage (not in a good way) with stains and chips missing from it - shower curtain was appallingly stained. ..

Unfortunately the room was filthy, wet towel left in the bath, socket broken on the wall, dirty bathroom floor and dirty carpet.

PRO: location,  staff,  happy hours
CON: renewing is essential (bathroom, furniture,  carpets, windows,  painting,  lights,  airconditioning),  noises from neighbours, cleanliness,   high price to quality,  you have to pay extra  for wifi (in 2022 why? )

The room itself was very basic and in need of updating, sheets where stained as was the carpet.

The corridor was dirty, with visible dirty on the carpet.

The carpet and bathroom floors had not been hoovered or mopped.

My only grumble was the carpets in the hall and room.

Positives: the bed was very clean and comfortable and the staff at reception were extremely understanding and helpful.

Great hotel, good location for easy access to london towns and train station, really helpful and friendly staff, comfortable room, all appliances worked, felt welcomed, short walk to nearby tesco for snacks which is handy!

Travelodge (Covent Garden) more than met our needs for a short stay of two nights that was booked with about two weeks notice.

Whilst this hotel is in a good central location with close proximity to two tube stations and five minutes from Covent Garden I was dissatisfied with the room and service.

but they were extremely busy, NCP  car park opposite and Covent Garden a 7 minute walk away, I would recommend this hotel

Their Hotels are usually very conveniently place ,in this case right on the edge of Covent Garden.

Thus was my first time at Travel Lodge Covent Garden.

Fabulous location in Covent Garden with it only being a few streets away from the vibrant market itself.

Ideal location for anyone coming for business or pleasure made it easy to get ti any point in London whilst having a good base location in the heart of Covent garden’s

It was close to shops, bars, shows and to Covent Garden.

The staff at Covent Garden were outstanding, super friendly and it was evident they are all very happy in their working environment, creating an incredibly welcoming atmosphere for their guests.

Fantastic for theatre area the embankment and covent garden.

Walking distance to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Chinatown and Theatres.

We try and have a short break every year in London and always stay at Covent Garden.

5 min walk to Covent Garden, 10 to Leicester Sq.

However location is great and in walking distance of Covent Garden and Leicester Square

Travelodge covent garden is a good location for central London, everything you need with walk in , Hotel clean we had what we expected the team very carrying and helpful specialy Ruth and Dilip been very welcoming and the rest of the team very helpful we definitely comeback on our next trip to London

We stayed in a super room which was still only £97 in Covent Garden!

Clean, centrally located, lovely staff, nice (large) room, quiet and clean if a bit dated (but sort of cool if you're a seasoned business traveler) breakfast basic

The hotel is also conveniently located with The Strand and New Oxford Street not being too far away without needing to use the Underground.

Reception gave us a key a room in the UG section, this is located on the lower ground level in what only can be described as a basement level with a few rooms.

Location is on point, I didn't use the bar or breakfast in the morning as I had plan already

Arrived very tired and reception staff checked me in super quick , location great , rooms decent size.

Due to its excellent central  location this is a very busy hotel

but were greeted by Tanya at the check- in who was polite, friendly and very helpful..she sourced a room for us without any quibble.

We booked a super room and was surprised how small it was.

Room was super clean and bath was clean we had no problem at all will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The shower / wash room was well provisioned and the shower was powerful and hot enough.

The soap dispenser was not fixed nor was an alternative soap option put in the room which would have been a very easy fix for our stay.

Rooms relaxing,cosy,quiet bed was perfect to sleep on you had a steam iron and board the bar stays open late you can order food till late,bar staff very cheerful and chatty they make you feel at home,breakfast and dinner,and bar food outstanding.

Room was clean for a travelodge , an issue was an aircon and key card kept bugging out.

All he did was say that’s the room you have booked as a ‘good will gesture’ I will change the room.

The room was basic, you get for what you pay for a budget hotel in Central London.

I had been booked a super room and I have to stay I was impressed.

The hotel, is very clean and well maintained with good sized rooms.

The room was a typical Travelodge room, the air con sounded like a plane taking off so couldn’t use on a warm night.

The soundproofing between rooms is excellent, we weren’t aware of any of our neighbours.

Disgusting wet dirty patches all over bedroom floor, did nothing to try and fix the issue, didn’t even come and look at it.

but this room was disgusting, the smell was awful, like fish!

Hash browns very poor cheap quality and who knows how they cooked the mushrooms they were disgusting.

The room was damp, the steam from the shower could not escape since the fan didn't work or like I say, no opening window.

This may be the excuse for the damp smell,

The room was quite small and the decor was looking very old & tired, air conditioning was very noisy and kept cutting out, room had thick dust behind the door and on top of the bed,bathroom was dirty no soap in the dispenser, overflow in the sink was disgusting, toilet didn’t flush properly, breakfast was okay

Only downside was the ground floor that you walk through to the lifts, had a strong damp smell.

The drinks tray is filthy and is clearly not cleaned out in its entirety after every stay as it should be, the coffee machine had old and smelly drinks capsules in and dirty old water and water marks in the machine.

The room was filthy and the furniture was grotty.
