I surprised my husband with a stay at the grand for his birthday, I mentioned in the booking that it was his birthday and the lady on reception mentioned it and there was a card waiting for him.

I went to The Grand for my friend’s birthday.

We went  to celebrate a very special 90th Birthday,

It was my 50th birthday so a bit of a treat.

Stayed for 2 nights as a birthday treat for myself and it was a perfect visit!

My daughter and I spent three nights at the grand Brighton to celebrate her 18th birthday.

6 of us stayed for 3 nights to celebrate dads 90 birthday and mum and dads anniversary.

For a special treat booked the famous Grand Hotel Brighton as an overnight treat for my wife for her Birthday.

Knowing how lovely the lounge is in the grand Ed booked for pre dinner drinks for my nieces birthday.

I booked to stay here for my partners 50th birthday.

Celebratory weekend in Brighton for a friends birthday.

We were celebrating a birthday with our 13 year old son, he didn’t even get a biscuit in the room as everything was focused on two people.

Went to The Grand for afternoon tea for mother in laws 88th birthday , we had a lovely time , excellent service and food was amazing , we had to take cakes home there was so many , love the cake trolley , thank you to all the staff , very memorable trip.

This made the handwritten note they left on the bed ‘Happy birthday and Anniversary!’ Seem like a sarcastic joke rather than any real effort to make our stay special.

but it was my husband's 60th birthday so we treated ourselves.

We wanted to celebrate my wife's big birthday in style, The Grand Hotel defiantly ticked all the boxes and more.

but as it was my birthday I had the joyous experience of being popped into a HUGE corner suite!

My husband and I took advantage of the midweek deal to stay at The Grand for my birthday as Brighton is my favourite place in the UK.

Great standard of drinks from the bar and a good hearty breakfast to start the day with.

Really enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner.

Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant and the breakfast options were plentiful.

Breakfast buffet is superb every choice possibly needed including vegan and gluten free.

Check-in was BAD, concierge was great, room service was good, bar staff were BAD, breakfast staff were good.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff and friendly and helpful, the location is perfect and very central and finally the breakfast was fantastic, so much variety and great quality food.

The staff were so polite and attentive and there was everything you could think of provided for breakfast.

I surprised my husband for a night away as a little pick me up after what his been through and, the hotel is massive and it's quite and the staff were amazing we stayed in a inland room with courtyard view the shower was amazing and the bed is very comfy, breakfast was very nice I will be staying there again very soon

Breakfast on both days was really lovely, great coffee too.

The breakfast is one of the best I have had.

The mattresses were so comfortable and we slept really well.

Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.

We opted for a “kings” suite and was not disappointed, everything you could wish for, large comfy bed, plenty of place in the rooms, which by the way were very clean.the service at this hotel is superb,you are made to feel very welcome.to sum up, a delightful stay and well worth the money.

The room (grand collection seaview double) was spotless, spacious & very elegant with super comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking the seafront (room 216).

It was surprisingly quiet at night and had a super comfy bed, if a tad short for my husband.

The service was good on a hot and very busy day, the rooms - initially 133 and then 632 are fresh, clean and beds comfortable.

The AC system was good and the bed was comfortable.

Very comfortable bed, lots of storage space in the room to unpack etc.

We stayed in one of the Suites on the 7th Floor, the suite was amazing, very clean, every amenity one would need, bed very comfortable.

Also, we asked for a cot for the baby and they charged an extra £10, which given the price of the hotel, seems quite unfair.

My only two complaints are that the wifi didn’t work and it cost us an extra £60 in data over the week, adding that amount onto the cost of the room.

I can get a Deliveroo Driver to for £4 to travel across Brighton collecting whatever we want for 70% of the hotels prices.

All ok f this is because you took another booking off my partners card, even after I paid for the reservation!!!!!

Where to start… Paid £479 (!) for 1 night stay on a Monday (!)

Chipped baths and broken furniture are not what I expect when you are paying this price.

but couldn’t justify the  extra price 
My only disappointment was buffet breakfast was very poor display choice and quality and next time would stay room  only as I would have expected better  standard considering the rest of the hotel which I love  that said I can’t wait to stay again !

but when checking out we were given a bill for £35 and upon checking bank statement the parking cost us $87 aud

We did have room service for lunch which costs £5 charge plus 12.5% service, outrageous!

For the premium charge you should be looking for 5/5 in all categories.

but due to lack of car parking it cost £33 at the local NCP for 24 hours.

but limited choice and the drinks were very expensive.

I understand that Brighton in August is peak period and expensive,

However, room was very clean and comfy just the appearance different to advertisement/ needed a bit of an update considering the price you pay

I ordered a bucket of ice to my room & was charged £8 room service fee, won't do that again!

Noisy wedding (on a sunday) no warning as to this.

Whilst we expected road noise the singing from some of the performers at the open air booth near the Music Hall was quite intrusive and far from relaxing.

I understand that a crying child is a difficult noise to address at a hotel,

but nothing great: beds are comfy but bathroom is very tired , amenities a bit basic and the noise from a party within the hotel was loud and went on past midnight.

but if this is the case then they should provide some type of noise control.

Room was noisy as air conditioning could be heard thru a closed window.

There was lots of noise from fighting drunks at 2am

However our room at the back had constant beeping from outside all night - then very noisy building site in the morning.

It was a hot few days and the room aircon was at the max which made it noisy.

Due to the lack of proper windows (they have only wooden-framed, single-glazed sash windows) it's impossible to keep the noise and vibration at bay.

When you are in a bathroom you can hear everything what is going on in the corridor,

Such a shame that the experience was marred by a terrible nights sleep as the room we had was an inland room where you can hear the constant loud drone of what sounds like large fans!

Chairs on each landing need to be reupholstered and breakfast area needs more of a selection and staff.

There was many other people complaining regarding the noise.

I assume the floorboards are connected which meant any time either of us got out of bed the other room was aware of it.

but one of the windows vibrates, it was a noisy night and I gave up trying to sleep before 6.

Only negative was the shower - a slightly painful over the bath jet with an old fashioned shower curtain to attack you!

though because it's in the centre of things it is noisy at night.

The noise when people walked on the loose floorboards on the corridor outside was easy to hear.

but the party goers across the road can bet noisy,

We very much enjoyed the cocktail tasting session pre booked in the Victoria lounge bar.

The restaurant offers the prfect romantic moment for a couple.

The dining room is excellent and the food is excellent and varied.

The food was nice and would certainly recommend the afternoon tea experience.

Everything was first class, room, restaurant and service.

We had an evening meal in the Cyan which was absolutely wonderful, and I felt for the quality, was very reasonably priced.

The lounge bar manager needs to join the club he is somewhat snappy

Food is good.

Cocktails in the bar were really great and had room service which was to a good standard.

Room super clean, ideal location for shopping, the pier, bars and restaurants.

Cocktails and evening entertainment were also a lovely way to end the day.

The whole area is kept very clean and tidy and the hot food was very fresh.

I don’t think the room that I got was worth £200, given the fact that the room was facing constructions.

The room was very clean and the shower was very powerful.

Welcoming staff, super clean, beautiful large appointed rooms with all the amenities you could need Iron/board/hair dryer/robes/slippers/fridge/bath products.

I did request a quiet room in my message to hotel.

Rooms are superior and very clean and comfortable.

Room really nice and I enjoyed the robes and bath.

We had a fabulous stay, and enjoyed our room which had a balcony overlooking the seafront.

The room (with a sea view) is excellent, as are the bathroom.

If you would like to see this nice view, you should book a room on the front side of the hotel.

Room 332 is not suitable to be a hotel bedroom it sits above all the hotels fans which for the most part stay on all night and with the kitchen one coming on again at 5am.

We stayed for two nights, very comfortable although changed the first room as not happy

The rooms overlooking the sea so lovely and afternoon tea and dinner is delicious

We stayed in a sea view room and enjoyed waking up to the sight of the sea.

We were in an ocean view room with balcony.

I think you need to book a sea view room to get the most out of your stay and hope you get allocated a room with a balcony, which is a lovely place to sit and watch.

We stayed in room 224 which has great views over the sea and a balcony.

Amazing 4 nights, gorgeous sea view room, sumptuous breakfasts and super friendly staff.

We had a room over looking the sea, as as it was especially hot in August, lovely to see so many people enjoying Brighton!

We had a classic sea view room, which was reasonably comfortable, with a safe and refrigerator.

I usually stay in a Grand Collection sea view room (as they all have balconies)

We splashed out on a sea view room with balcony, which was super.

We stayed in a deluxe sea view room that lived up to expectations.

We always stay in a sea view room and love the views of the water and skyline.

Gorgeous sea view room and terrific breakfast - yet horrified for my room service dinner they charged for the expected tray service AND service was added for both soft/alcoholic AND dinner!

It  simply makes no sense to book a standard non-sea view room unless you get a really good deal.

A perfect sea view room, incredibly luxurious.

We’d stayed at the Shangri-La at the Shard in London the night before our stay here, and the definition of ‘buffet’ between the two was very different.

All the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful and the guys on concierge are the best in the business.

I genuinely cannot fault our stay at the Grand.

Only amazing part was the decor and the concierge outside.

but some staff are great and others are awful.

The staff were really friendly, check-in was a breeze, and the interior of the hotel is just as you'd expect from The 'Grand'.

Beautiful location, the weather was unexpectedly very kind the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

My response was the waiting time, the reply I got was 'we are shortstaffed'!!

lovely hotel, great staff, had a fabulous time.

but the single   rooms are shabby with huge clunky oversized furniture and no view as windows covered in film.

Our 6th floor room needed some renovation to bathroom (panel and window slightly rotten) and window ledges were dirty and growing weeds.

but be aware if you have a balcony or sea view high season there is a open top pub directly across the road and the music is very very loud so you cannot open the windows.

We reported the curtains three times as the hooks were missing and they would not keep our the light.

Our windows were overlooking the internal 5 storey walls, could not see the sky, daylight meant dusk for us.

but our only issue was both the windows were frosted, so we couldn't see out!

The depth of the huge public rooms mean that the restaurants are dark unless you are right by the window.

Rooms at the Grand are a bit hit or miss, the one we had this year had some surfaces that seemed a bit worn, the curtains were stained in the strangest of places and the bathroom,

but better windows might have helped, and there was also a lack of soundproofing from the room above mine.

Not wanting to have a weekend completely spoiled, we accepted and then went out to explore, leaving the air conditioning on to cool the room (as it was one of the hottest days of the year and the room had lots of windows).

The building next to the hotel is a building site so you need to keep your curtains closed to stop the builders looking in.

View of a concrete wall and pipe work from bedroom window so room dark and oppressive, no mobile phone reception in my room, WiFi intermittent, some free view channels missing from TV and a shower curtain rather than glass screen.

The pitiful view from my window (see below) was bearable, my friends on another floor were

but the bathroom was tired and the windows dirty.

Moved into an extremely hot room where windows wouldn't open,

Windows in the room did not insulate from outside noise and wind.

There’s 2 things that hotels seem to struggle with, bathrooms and breakfasts.

The Market Brasserie offered delicious food and excellent service.

A rather large queue for breakfast in the morning,

Breakfast food was outstanding ,but very little room between tables .

The following day, I took advantage of the breakfast that came free with my room rate.

Cocktails were delicious and view was amazing.

Room service is a must and the menu is delicious.

The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and there was a very large choice at breakfast.

The food in particular is excellent both for dinner and for breakfast.

We have been for 4-5 breakfasts over the past few months at the Intercontinental as we love next door and Neenu has been so friendly and bubbly each time.

The hotel breakfast was excellent and had a large selection to choose from.

The hotel itself is very good, as you would expect with good sized rooms with the expected amenities and the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good.

Nice to see the hotel accommodate this at breakfast time.

We slept well and the breakfast in the morning was plentiful with everything you could want and more.

We chose to pay the extra for Eggs Benedict (£15 per serving) which despite having a great description, was not good.

From start to finish this was the best stayed we ever had and we will be coming back the price does give is reasonable with what you get and the breakfast was amazing thank you to all the staff and Nabecl !

but I didn’t want to bother them with that & Eric made up for it at breakfast when he brought me my Mocha.

From the minute we walked in yesterday morning, to the bar (Karim)  staff, the Housekeepers we bumped into and finally this morning the breakfast team led by Eric everyone made us feel special with a smile, we always try hard to reciprocate and at the end of breakfast I saw Eric the Manager and took him to one side to tell him.

(we drove up and it was all very seamless)
All in all, a fantastic hotel, bonus lovely pool/spa to use in the morning after breakfast.

And it was worth every penny to leave the concert and be in bed within 10 minutes.

Following the concert, we were back in our room within twenty minutes, which was superb.

I was meeting up with friends for a concert at O2.

The only disconcerting thing was while we were at the concert they came in and did a turndown service where they put slippers by your bed and a mat, I did find this slightly intrusive to be honest and was glad I had made use of the safe to store our valuables.

Myself & my friend stayed for one night at the O2 Intercontinental whilst we attended a concert at the O2 arena.

The Hotel as its own access directly into the 02 ideal for getting away easily at the end of the concert, no queuing for taxis or river boats.

This is definitely one of our favourite hotels and is in the perfect spot if you are going to a concert at the 02.

The staff are really helpful and the location is perfect for the concerts at the 02.

We stayed after a concert at the O2 and it’s one of my favourite hotels.

She also organised for my chair to be stored while we was in O2 concert Thursday 9th 
Once we had been up to the room we went to the bar where we was greeted by Chris who was lovely and extremely helpful n she found us a table for my wheelchair n moved a chair for me n took our order for drinks .

Lovely hotel , great setting on the Thames and quick link to O2 for concerts and after event drinks.

First visit to this hotel as a friend and I were attending a concert at the O2 so we thought it would be super convenient to stay here as the hotel was connected to the O2.

Good location for O2 concert attending with good access to the O2.

We will hopefully be returning when the concert is rescheduled.

We stayed in February for the SuperM concert.

This would be a perfect stay for people going to a concert at the O2 who have plenty of spare cash! !

I stayed here for 2 nights, to attend a concert at the O2 Arena.

First time I stayed  at the O2 for the Script concert.

Stayed for one night for a concert at the O2 and so glad we did.

If I’d have had to pay I would have definitely asked for a refund.

I complained at the desk on check out and they did remove the car park fee from my stay which I am grateful for and I think is fair as  I still have to pay the parking fine which even if I pay within 14 days will be £20 more than the parking fee.

Only downside is it’s very limited parking and the cost is £40 for overnight if you are lucky to get space.
